Happy New Year! :chairspin:

I know very few stop by now, but for those that do I hope 2017 brings you and your families much happiness and good health! :excitedtoseeyou:

I'm glad that 2016 is over. The general election stuff alone was enough to make me want to pull my hair out. It felt like the campaign would neverrrrrrrrrrrrr end. We need some serious campaign reform in this country. It got the point where I didn't even want to turn on my TV or plug in my home phone. TV commercials galore, dozens of campaign phone calls a week, people coming to my door to hand out campaign literature, handfuls of campaign flyers in the mail everyday, news, internet...etc. KHANNNNN!!!

Anyway... looks like KOT hit the 10 year mark this past December. :D Hard to believe its been that long since the doors opened. Years before that when we were on other sites posting about everything under the sun... Star Trek. Time sure does fly.

Speaking of Star Trek, I haven't seen the latest movie yet. I know, I am a bad Trekkie. Its out at the Redbox now though. :P

I was also kind of bummed that this new Trek series ("Star Trek: Discovery") was not taking place post VOY or that I probably wasn't going to get to see it anyway with it airing on CBS All Access. Then I read the other day that it will air concurrently on NETFLIX, and then I was somewhat happy about it again. I wasn't going to pay extra to watch the series, but I do already have NETFLIX, so we're all good now. ;) I am kind of over the 23rd century. I wish they would have gone a different route. Oh well...

:wave2: :handshake: :tomato: :vulcan:

I don't know if US Netflix will be airing it. Previously, as far as that goes, it seemed only Netflix only had the rights to air it in other countries (being that CBS AllAccess is US only).

Do yourself a favor and watch the latest Trek film. It's not perfect, but in a lot of ways it is a big step up from Into Darkness!
