So After I completed the game the first time I made just a few minor mistakes, obviously not so minor for some characters because I killed off my entire crew. The only major crew member that died in the suiside mission was the Mordin, I didn't send him as the guy to escort any survivors to the Normandy. Despite him being loyal and one of the members of the crew I actually enjoyed talking to on a regular basis just to hear what wacky shit he was going to say next(and he says alot...and sings). He still died, so obviously he's ment to be the escort not a defender. That is easily fixable. The problem is once you do the mission to aquire the device to use the omgea 4 relay the game decides after a certain amount of time that your ship gets attacked. Now in my first play through my crew gets captured, and I took my sweet ass time completeing all the side missions and loyalty missions ect. Then I went through the omega 4 relay for the final mission. By the time I reached where my crew was I got to watch as my personal secratery was ground up into a pulp right before my eyes and the only survivor of my crew was Dr.Chakawas (or whatever the hell her name is). And the Dr. goes off about why it took so long for me to get there and how she had to watch everyone of the crew members get ground up right in front of her eyes...wah wah wah. Anyways if you do the final mission right after getting attacked you can actually save all your crew members. My problem is I jumped too ahead in the story line at that point I had like 5 loyalty missions to do after getting attacked. I could have loaded a pervious save before even going to get the device to go through the relay but I realized I fucked something up even before that which is the whole shadow broker thing. I fucked up and named the wrong person as the shadow brokers agent and to be honest I want to see more of that storyline in the third game. My other major problem is when you complete Miranda's and Jack's loyalty missions there is a cut scene with the two of them fighting in Miranda's office. If you don't have enough paragon or renegade points which ever one you tell the back off becomes unloyal. Now I don't know if the game was just fucked but no matter how much paragon points I could squeeze out of the game (near max) the bitch still became unloyal. So I'm redoing that shit. So I have a list of things that should make the third interesting. - Turned in the correct shadow broker agent. - Didn't turn in evidence against Tali's father, told them not to go to war with the geth. - Told legion to reprogram all the geth in the sector. - Got reinstated as a Specter. - Need to figure out loyalty issue with Miranda/jack - Do final mission as soon as crew is abducted. - Have no one die on final mission. - Tell the illusive man to go fuck himself and blow the shit out of the death star...errr.. collectors base. - Take out all the hidden merc bases. - Buy ever upgrade possible (Before I was always short on cash to buy one or two upgrades. DLC fixes that). - Tie up any loose ends, aka odd side missions ect. - ??? - Profit!!! - Risk nailing Jack? First time I nailed Miranda, because let's face it she's a hot slut. Second time around I nailed Tali because I thought I'd get to see her real face. But no dice, so dissapointing. Only one I haven't nailed is Jack, and let's be honest shes a total psycho, probably have sex with shepard, cry while doing it and then spattler him aross the walls with some ungodly biotic powers.

Wow, you missed all the side quest didn't you? That's like some RPG101 shit right there. You should know by now that by going into the final area you won't be able to backtrack to complete any quest you skipped. I actually never liked Miranda so I didn't give a crap about her loyalty, plus Jack has the better abilities, and on my first playthrough I only lost that old mercenary guy, what's-his-name... Well he was a bonus DLC for the collectors edition so I guess he really doesn't count as a lost crewmen. What I hate is how that when you beat the game, you can still play, but if you're like me who does all the sidequest before the final boss you get stuck with nothing to do unless you got the new DLC tthey just released. They should have like hidden missions/bosses after beating a game instead of just having you fly around in space and talking to people. And it's good to see a game where your choices actually make a difference. See, this is why the JP's are struggling so much with their own RPG's in terms of sales. |

Well I didnt realize that once I had done the whole get the device for the omega 4 relay that I'd be randomly attacked and if I didnt go rescue my crew right away they would all die horribly. After the crew was taken I took my sweet ass time getting all the side mission done and loyalty quests, not realizing my crew was being turned into jello for a reaper. The loyalty pretty much determins who lives. Both times I lost loyalty for Miranda or Jack they died on the final mission, it doesnt even show it during the mission it's just like the following people have died and it shows the team status screen with Miranda or Jacks figure shading to black. I was like gaayyyy. My plan is to have basically everything done before going to get the omega 4 delay device. I'll still have to do the loyalty mission for legion but I should have time to do that before the collectors attack the normandy and take the crew. You got lucky because I don't think the old merc guy even really counts towards a proper crew member. Hell he doesn't even talk to you on the ship, he just talks about random shit around the room. The new DLC out now looks pretty good, a new crew member, and a pack with 5 new missions and a few hover tanks missions. The hover tanks is actually FUN. Unlike the damn hard to control rover thing from the first game. I picked up an armor pack for 160 points, totally wasn't work it. N7 armor is still much much better. It had a really good head peice if you're a biotic however which I am not.

So I picked up all of the DLC last night for this game for shits and giggles. There are two armor packs, a new dlc character, the whole hover tank thing, and a new story line/ missions pack called overlord. The two armor packs are miles apart but both cost 160 points. The first one is the firestorm armor which is pretty much crap. If you picked up the free cerberus armor pack you know what your getting here, except it's bright red instead of the nice black and greys. The stats on the armor are basically alot less than what you can get from customizing the N7 armor to the way you want it peice by peice. The only good side to this pack is it comes with two seperate helmets one that's really good if you're looking for a sheild boost and a really good head peice for people that use Biotic powers, kinda cool looking too. Not really worth buying unless you use a biotic character. The aegis armor pack gives you a full suit as well but it actually lets you split it up into parts not to mention just about every peice is pretty much an overall upgrade to the n7. Lots of weapon damage% and shield% + on each peice. The final nail in the coffin to buy this thing is it comes with a new sniper rifle, it fires a high powered three round burst, it's like a .50 cal M16 with a big ass scope only with bairly any kick back. It's a very awesome gun, it tempting me to try the new stealth class character out. Overall buy this pack. The master thief DLC is much like the old merc guy only the master thier chick(I can't remeber her name it's really fucking wierd) has more of a personality. Her intro on the citadel is interesting and once on board the normandy she just like the old merc. Rather than full on conversations with her she has various items around the room you can interact with and she tells you stories about her past. The one difference is you can interect with her character and she'll tell you gossip from around the ship, it's pretty damn funny. The character is great because she cloaks and attacks enemies from behind, so many times where I'm blowing through and entire clip of ammo trying to kill a long distance enemy and she pops in behind it and one shots it while I'm reloading. She actually useful! Her loyalty mission is freaking awesome too, you get some fancy new duds and get to attand a swanky merc party and perform a mission impossible hiest. I wont ruin the rest of it but the whole mission was awesome plus you get a much more powerful and accurate smg gun which is much overdue. I'd say it's a definate buy as dlc goes. The hovertank missions I've only done the first one where you actually aquire it, I've yet to do anything beyond that. So I'll take a look at those missions and the new overlord story arc tonight. |
