Awesome game is awesome. So far I've just gone the soldier route, best armor with the highest sheild I can find, and a maxed out assault rifle skill. Basically a big ass meat tank. Worked quite well for me so far. Although my first character is good(paragon), I don't really see of the evil side of things will change the game much(aside from killing alot more people). I was thinking about making an alien hating renegade character next so we'll see where that ends up. I'm 16 hours into the game and have done a ton of side quests (not including finishing all those dumb fetch quests) including finishing one of the downloadable content scenarios by accident. I'm alittle sad that the main story is almost over however with a second play through I might hit 40 hours. |

So I just beat this bad boy last night, great ending. Pretty big twist too. And multiple endings make for a great game. I checked out two alternatives last night and both were great. And the awesome new game plus, there were quite a few quests that I had fucked up on so I'll enjoy going through another playthrough on a harder difficulty. |

Are you gonna kill Ashley off the first chance you get now? Once I got to know her, I couldn't stand her at all. Kaiden's got way better abilities anyways. |

Yeah... I pretty much ignored her in the first play through. This time I thought well I nailed the blue chick last time why not go for Ashley. After talking to her a few times after missions, I seriously can't stand the bitch. I just thought she was pushy/bitchy/jelous. Turns out shes also chistian(in space wtf?), a racist, and a jelous dumb bitch who would rather shoot people than help them. So yeah I'd rather nail Kaiden for fuck sakes before this hoe bag of air. Edit: YEAH MARK OF THE BEAST! Really 666 post already? Geez. |

Congrats dude! Yeah man, I love the storytelling and the depth that they gave the characters in Mass Effeft, which is why I'm looking forward to the next one and Star Wars: TOR (even though it's online only) so much. I completely forgot that Ashley was a racist bitch, I just remember that she was an idiot with a daddy complex that joined the military for all the wrong reasons. Which is why on subsequent playthroughs I make it my own personal mission to kill her off as quickly as possible. Didn't really like Liara too much either personality wise but I guess tagging Tali would have technically impossible with the environmental suit she has to wear, also she might have been underage (in most states) so that could have caused more problems for Bioware. Like the whole lesbian thing that they where crying about in same lame ass place no here cares about. But yeah, I really can't wait for the next one. Hope they polished up the combat and your Allies AI. Those two things were what I think the game needed the most improvements on. That and some more variety in the side missions. |

The team AI is pretty bad at times. The one thing that bothered me was the classes. My first play through I went with the soldier class and used tali (or garrus for alittle more fire power) and Liara for support. I mean I hit the right shoulder button and bam all thier abilites are there, use over load, sabotage, and maybe lift. And I get to do all the ass kicking. Extremely efficient, since the Ai members tend do stupid things some times. I found when I made a new class and put some one like wrex or ashley as the main ass kicker while I used biotics or tech skills it just didn't work nearly as well as it should. It just bothered me because when I was the soldier I still had access to all those biotic and tech skill from my partners that I could use at my own will. Plus I was the main focus of the enemy hate so they rarely got killed. It just seems inefficient to have another class. |

Yeah the soldier did seem a bit over powered, and with all the upgrades you can got you'd end having three times the HP of all the other characters with access to all weapons and the nifty skills they give. If you change the AI settings to frequently use special abilities you get a lot more from your allies than 2 more guns shooting at random targets. Still won't stop them from shooting each other in the back (or walls) but you get a lot more enemies floating around singularities while their shields are down than you normally would. Looking forward to the new infiltrator class, you get a cool cloaking device that makes enemies forget that you exist. Not sure if the added melee combat (besides the butt stroke) but it would be awesome if you can pull out a knife and assassinate people all Solid Snake like. Maybe the cloaking device is really a cardboard box too...

I'd have to admit cloaking devices + critical hits from sneaking up silently to take someone out (either gun or some sort of melee weapon or attack) is a serious game changer. Fallout is a massive example of this, when I first played it I was a smallguns/big guns playthrough that aggroed everything with two legs and killed it all in a bloody swath of goly or died trying. Once I changed to a sneak player I had a ton of fun replaying the game especailly when I got the chinese stealth suit (with built in cloaking device) and a silenced assault rifle with a scope. |
