For starter, stories of war (woven with history) do not interest me. This story, however, managed to pull my attention. George did a great job in writing the prologue. The dialogue looked natural, and accurate. Yes, it was gore, but he did it so elegantly. What I liked about it is that it made me want to see what happens next. One could easily remember the characters because each was created uniquely. If every war/history book was written like this, children will be rushing home to read the entire volume. Honestly, it made me want to grab a history book, but then I realized that George isn't the writer so I fought that urge.

Overall, George's style is very unique. The prologue is well-written and I'm hoping for some more! Kudos to George!
