There are way too many polls emerging in Community Chat now... it's not even funny any more, they're just spam.

Maybe they should pin the most common type, and turn off posts.

Pinning them would just encourage them.

I don't think PINNING is a good idea. Maybe a poll area where people can create there own polls, and then disable polls from Community Chat?

Or just a new topic explaining that polls have gone too far, and you should think and check to make sure you have made a poll that has not been posted at all (or for a long while), and if it's actually worth making. :)
