Something I think should be done (just my opinion) is every thread is given a (few|couple) reply. Like in Support, I answer something and even hours, days, or weeks later i'm STILL the last poster, no reply by anyone, not staff, not the topic creator, not another member. WHY!?! Similar for CC, it would be nice if threads actually got replies instead of "fadding' away. . . IMO. |

Its nothing that olny happens at IF becasue no one has a non spam responce, they do not care or for support there is not known answer. :/ Many if not all forums have this happens to topics....if we did respone to every topic it would be spammers heaven. :/ |

I'd rather respond to topics I like or can respond to and thus contribute towards a good (be it fun, mature or otherwise) discussion than post in every topic, thus meaning I'd have to spam since there are certain subjects that don't interest me or I have no knowledge about. I mean, take your latest topic: Which of these processess. What on earth would those of us who know nothing about that sort of thing say? Posting to simply prevent topics from falling back or fading out seems pointless and a form of promoting spam, esp. if it comes from us staff. Some topics are crap. Others are repeats and thus don't attract people. And then there are some that basically have no real purpose. If a topic fades, I can only assume that it means the community isn't interested. =/ Can't force the community to respond, otherwise you get those responses that make me want to hit someone: "lolz, I dons nows!", "Jah, wot he sed." ![]() People just have to accept that if it doesn't get a reply then it's not something people are interested in. Or it's been buried by spam topics and a moderator isn't online to remove them. |
