| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? We've come up with an idea to allow use of specific non-playable characters, as that might make more of an impact on a RP. Feel free to introduce and apply with an NPC of your own, but only if you're willing to use them as well. If there are too many applications, we'd prefer you add a link to a post where they've been used. Rules: - Don't kill them off without a valid reason and ask staff about it first. - Try to loosely follow their characteristic. It's short to give more options but do try not to go completely against it. - Don't use them to intentionally take a fall for one of your characters. E.g. letting an Auror allow a student something even if they would get fired for it (unless they're supposed to be a rule-breaker). We also encourage not to use NPCs as main characters (giving them some important role) but merely as cameos in your posts. They may; however, be adoptable if someone's interested. Their PBs will be posted in the Celebrity Claim but will be available to anyone. If you have too many characters, there's also an option to make one of them an NPC, but we don't want this list to become a trash can while you make a new, more interesting character. "Hawkeye"  Full name: Benjamin Pierce Position: Auror Age: 36 Height: 6'2" (188cm) Eyes: Blue Hair: Short black This middle-aged man is one of Brock Baker's best Aurors, specialized in healing spells and first aid. It's only his talent that lets him keep the job despite his troublemaking streak. He's known to prank his colleagues and his conscience occasionally leads him to complain about or even disregard some of his orders. But when it comes down to it, he's reliable and focused on the job. He's fun to be around, likes kids and can be occasionally seen chatting with a student or even tolerating mild misbehaviours. As long as no one gets hurt. Created by Beth "Emmereth"  Full name: Magda Emmereth Position: Auror Age: 39 Height: 5'9" Eyes: Dark brown Hair: Light brown, long, curly One of the more capable, no nonsense, aurors. Magda prides herself both in her efficiency and her ability to get a job done smoothly. If she sees a solution to a problem she will pursue it without a second thought as waiting for a diplomatic resolution, she finds, is often as useless as it is ineffective. The auror will relent if another, more logical solution, is presented. Emmereth doesn't speak, nor does she disregard orders, unless she finds it absolutely necessary. Having two children of her own, neither old enough to attend school, she takes her job all the more serious. Created by Eme "Professor Tucker"  Full name: Jacoby Tucker Position: Substitute Teacher Age: 46 Height: 5'7" Eyes: Brown Hair: Salt & Pepper Jacoby Tucker is the kinda man who is sort of good at a lot of things but not very good at anything in particular. He is one of the people the school calls in case a Professor is incapacitated. Professor Tucker's lessons are about as dull and boring as his voice makes them to listen to. It isn't strange for him to put an entire classroom to sleep with they way his voice drones on. He also sticks to the rules laid out be the actual Professor, expressly; role call can take up half the class if somebody doesn't hear their name getting called out! Created by Eme "Nurse Helga"  Full name: Helga VanSchnoogle Position: Hogwarts Nurse Age: Who the hell knows? Height: 6'5" Eyes: Small and dull brown Hair: Healthy, LIKE THE REST OF HER BODY Helga VanSchnoogle grew up the oldest child in a family of 16. She never took any shit from her brothers and sisters. Whenever they got hurt, she would tell them in her comically Swedish accent to "not cry over boo boo." She originally wanted to be a Healer but St. Mungo's thought she would scare the patients, so she applied for a job at Hogwarts instead, and she got it because the school board were all on vacation that day. Seriously, though, she is quite good at her job, even though she believes that "a little bit pain builds character, ja?" Created by Lori
