| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Seventh Year. Lori rocks! But srsly, Morgan is the best! I love Malynne! But not as much as I LOVE ANNA AND LORI. BUT MORGAN STILL PWNS THEM ALL, THE END. I love Meg she is so awesome and epic. Did I mention how silly Jess is?

Dave laid awake in a bed that was not his, staring at the ceiling of the Room of Requirement. Every joint and muscle in his body ached with fatigue after the previous night's ordeal. What had he been thinking, getting himself into a situation like that? Surely he could do better, given his record. Suddenly, Dave sat straight up, instantly regretting his decision, as his entire body objected against the unexpected movement. "Attention all students and staff: please report to the Great Hall immediately. Anyone not in attendance will be expelled without question. You have ten minutes." Dave's brow scrunched together in confusion. He recognized the voice as belonging to Professor McKenna, who was his head of house, but he was confused, not only as to what was so urgent, but also as to why it was she who was making the announcement. All around him, Dave could hear the shuffling bedsheets as his fellow Defense Club members awoke from their sleep, equally startled by Professor McKenna's voice. What was going on? OOC: Figured I'd throw in some contextual humour at the beginning, given the title of the thread. Feel free to approach Dave/ask him what the hell is going on so we can get things moving. |

Cosette was jolted from slumber as a sharp voice rang through the Room of Requirement. Still slightly disoriented, she leaned forward and concentrated very hard to make sense of the morning announcement. The message was delivered as very pressing, which might not have been surprising coming from the likes of Kemp, but this was not Kemp's voice at all. It was, it seemed, the voice of Professor McKenna. In fact, she had a strange feeling that this had nothing to do with Kemp at all. "Well, what are you waiting for? Get up!" she called to those sleeping in beds nearby. Quickly, she flung herself from her comfortable position and was on her feet. She crossed the room until she was facing a very groggy-looking Dave McKelvey. "We've got to get everyone out of here. I have no idea what's going on, but nobody's getting expelled on my watch." |

Dave's ears peaked as Cosette's voice rang out across the room, prompting most of the students out of their stupor and onto their feet. Dave raised an eyebrow slightly at the subtle event he had just witnessed. It didn't really seem in-character for Cosette to take a leadership role and give orders like that; he couldn't help but smile at the idea. Not only did it mean that Cosette was gaining some confidence, but perhaps that he could finally share the weight of leadership. "Yes Sir, I mean, Ma'am," Dave teased the Ravenclaw girl. Even for just jumping out of bed, the morning sun gave Cosette an attractive glow, and Dave felt himself staring for just a little too long. He smiled at his counterpart before jumping out of his bed and standing up at full height, reaching his arms high above his head as he stretched, several of his joints cracking as he did so. "You heard her," Dave called. "Let's get a move on; something serious is obviously going on, so let's make sure we're there," he added, asserting the fact that he too would not allow anyone to be late under his watch. "I feel like I got hit by a train last night," Dave commented to Cosette as he stretched, his body still protesting every movement he made. "How about you?" |

Opening her eyes suddenly the booming voice filled her ears. She made a loud groan pushing herself up and stretching her arms looking to Edward who was in the bed next to her. Kicking it she smirked a little before pushing herself up and grabbing his arm and pulling him up. “Get the hell up. If I have to be awake you do too” She mumbled taking a deep breath. Her arms and her head were killing her and the sudden movement just made her more dizzy. The room spun making her wobble a bit on the spot. Yesterday was a battle, a fight, and now they were going to hear what path the whole situation would take. Glancing around she let go on Edward’s arm and began to slowly make her way to Dave. Getting over there she grabbed onto his shoulder trying not to fall over. “Daaaave what the hell is happening” She groggily said putting a hand to her head then looking up to Cossette. She smiled to her trying to stand up straight but failing miserably. “I’m dizzy I can hardly walk.” Dave had been at the hospital wing a few times right? Maybe he knew something or other about how she was feeling. “Note to self don’t walk without grabbing onto someone.” She muttered to herself. And then she tried to remember yesterday but all she could remember was flying spells and the incident in the common room. “What happened in the common room” She suddenly asked unable to filter her thoughts. “It’s too early” |

Edward's peaceful sleep was interrupted by an unnecessarily loud voice he couldn't quite place from the haze his mind was still submerged in. He grunted angrily and pressed his pillow over his head to block out the annoying woman. It was too late, though, despite being a deep sleeper he was slowly returning to the real word. The Slytherin groaned more loudly when something collided with his bed and tried to pull him up from the bed, before recognizing Jess' voice close to his ear. That was as good an alarm clock for him as any. Edward's eyes snapped open and he slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes with the heels of his hands. It could have only been minutes since he closed his eyes. "What's going on?" he joined Jess in the questioning as he stood and stretched his hands with a soft crack. Walking over to Jessica, hiding his yawn behind the back of his hand, he eyed the untouched food he had sent for last night with a scowl. "Feeling any better?" he asked, even though she didn't look it. "You should have eaten that instead of counting on me to carry you to the breakfast," Edward added admonishingly before glancing over at David and Cosette. "Come on, we should go," he held out one hand for his friend, "you can worry about what happened once you're out of the immediate danger of passing out." (OOC: I figure Dave would have a better idea about Jess' Elementium than Edward.) |

Cosette rolled her neck several times until she heard a crack and winced. "Not much better. My muscles are screaming. You may have to carry me down," she joked. She scanned over the room, pleased to see that most of the crew was beginning to slink slowly out of bed, but at this rate they would never make it to the Great Hall in ten minutes. "Quickly, everyone!" she added. Meanwhile, Jess and Edward had joined them. Jess was looking rather disoriented and clumsy, so Cosette offered an arm for balance in case she might stumble again. She stared quietly at the Slytherin trio before declaring, "We're wasting time, aren't we? Come on, I will lead the way." Cosette headed for the door and snuck out the Room of Requirement, hoping that Dave and the rest would fall behind. |

Dave simply shrugged at Jess when she inquired as to what was going on, as he had only just gotten out of bed himself. Why did everyone expect him to know everything? He let it go, however, as more pressing issues were at hand. "Yeah, let's do it," Dave replied to Cosette, who again urged everyone to get a move on. Dave approached his bed and retrieved his wand. Quietly, he cast a few spells on himself to freshen up a bit, as he would not have any time to properly prepare. He pushed his hair out of his face as it straightened out and became shiny, as if it had been freshly washed, before finally turning around and exiting the room. |
