Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Seventh Year

The air was cold outside, almost chilling, but it didn't really matter to Beth as her numb hands shook and insides churned with the realization of what she was doing and the danger of it. And for the first time since the whole thing started... she was alone.

She might have lacked the courage of a Gryffindor but had often found it within her to become brave for her friends, if only briefly. The invisibility cloak she had held in vice grip to her broom had nearly slipped down twice off her body in the single minute since leaving the Room of Requirement. And Beth was worried she might just lose her wits completely. But how could she ever become an Auror if this was her reaction under duress? Not that she was particularly fond of MLE employees at the moment but the goal remained unchanged. Perhaps this was a test. If she didn't have it in her, Beth would only become a failure one year sooner. 'Shut your whining, Snape!' a part of her mind insisted, 'this is no rocket science, you're only here because you can fly. And that is all you need to do now.' Growling under her breath, Beth forced herself to focus on something other than her fears. Her friends still depended on her, even if they weren't physically around.

Flying painstakingly slow, close to the castle walls or just above the roofs, Beth at last made to the Great hall. It didn't seem to occur to the enforcers to look skywards in their search for law-breaking students, which was why nobody noticed a pair of feet and a part of broomstick hovering above their heads.

Scanning the ground in the near vicinity of the hall, Beth chose a spot where none of the guards could see, or at least weren't likely to. Then the girl descended to one of the windows of the Great Hall, cautiously peering inside. For a moment, she worried it was not the room she had sought, but then noticed Addie and other students in the room. Something strange was going on and Beth didn't have a good feeling about it at all.

Even though Beth couldn't hear almost anything, the tension in the Great Hall seemed to grow the longer she stayed, culminating the second the heavy doors burst into the room. With a startled gasp, Beth couldn't keep her eyes away from the sickening scene below, watching as both the enforcers and dark wizards fell under the curses of their opponents. But it was stopped as quickly as it had begun.

The sudden gusts of wind around the castle made it hard to keep her broomstick in place and swept the cloak off her head. The Defence Club needed to learn what happened and there was nothing she could do to help her schoolmates in the room. Not wanting to waste another moment, Beth bolted upwards, pushing her Comet as fast as it would go.

If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

Hellius stumbled out of the Great Hall, dropping his shirt as he tripped. Bear crawling across the ground before pushing himself to his feet again, he threw himself as far away from the collapsing great hall as he possibly could.

He rolled, straining his lungs as he tried to breathe. As he landed in a tall patch of grass, the young man came to a stop. He stared up at the sky, and the hole that was now present in the clouds just above the castle.

As he started to cough, he sat up - hacking and gagging as dust-stained spit and phlegm flew from his mouth.

Addie - that's all he could think about. All he could feel was... a swelling rage. He didn't try to understand why. He didn't care. All he wanted to do now was find... Him.

The young man pushed himself to his feet and struggled to gain his balance. He felt dizzy; warped, as if he was given a thrashing. His body was exhausted, but the adrenaline was beginning to flow. The aching in his muscles was fading.

Hellius Surla was crazed.

Balling his knuckles into fists, he threw himself forward and headed back into the castle; looking for anyone wearing the masks of Walpurgis.
