| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. The Dark Lord

A clattering - a snapping of twigs as feet stomped against the ground, as bodies hit the floor, as wands and bones snapped under an unyielding pressure. Groans, muffled and stifled with great precision and swiftness, only present for a few desperate seconds... before there was nothing left. Leaving nothing but silence. The Dark Lord Azariah Amaranth twirled a wand around between his fingers, looking around himself to admire his handiwork. It seemed as though fire and water was... simple enough to be deflected. But, indeed, it was hard for the aurors to determine when the earth would crumble and disintegrate beneath their feet, or to react when all of the oxygen was pushed out of their lungs. Perhaps it was just the element of surprise that allowed such a... simple victory. Perhaps they are, indeed, prepared; if given the opportunity to prepare themselves. "M'lord," a masked associate projected confidently, his pure white mask stained with splashes of a dark maroon. "What shall you have us do?" "I want..." There was a pause, as if the dark lord was thinking. Slowly, the ground began to distance itself from his feet, and the branches above started to part. The swaying of the branches caused the entire tree to quake and creak as it attempted to support and allot this... unnatural, almost conscious movement. "Adeline Luminuex. Ensure she has the stone... Take her alive. Incapacitate or maim everyone wearing the badge, and defend yourself as... necessary," Azariah commanded. He launched through the hole in the trees, and disappeared into the atmosphere. Edited by Azariah Amaranth, Jan 12 2012, 10:29:53 AM.

It had been a long way from the castle to the Forbidden Forrest for someone who's only two inches tall. Necessary; however, if that person wanted to stay unnoticed. Out of the tall wet grass came a small black shrew, its coat dirty and accordingly drenched. Pausing, the rodent's nose wrinkled as it sniffed the cool pine-scented air and pricked its little ears. It just stood there unmoving for a few moments before suddenly transforming into a crouching cloaked man. The man stood upright and cracked his neck deliberately. Pulling the hood further over his masked face, the wizard took one more look around the modest hollow he'd found himself in, only a minute's walk from the edge of the forest. Knowing to be ahead of schedule, the man drew his wand decidedly and, with a few precise flicks, his long black cloak was perfectly clean and dry again. The rendezvous point wasn't far, albeit some of his associates were already present - nobody wanted to let the Dark Lord wait. And the cloaked man didn't need to see him to know he was there. The potent stench of burnt flesh had hit him before he even got there. Coming to a halt, Blackwood patiently waited for his master's commands, the power that emanated from him feeling almost tangible. And in a moment, he was gone. "One at the Greenhouses, two guarding the entrance, two patrols around the castle. The rest have been called inside," Blackwood informed coldly. A familiar energy surged through his body, like a drug, urging him into action. "The girl must be in the Great Hall or Gryffindor tower." |

The cloaked figure had been one of the first at the meeting area; she had been here for hours doing reconnaissance. She didn't stay unknown by by sheer luck, a lot of planning went into the things she did. It had to. When you were dealing with people who would as soon turn their wand against as to your enemy it was good to be cautious. Plus, it was good to know your enemy. The aurors hadn't started moving until fairly recently and in fact, seemed rather disorganized with a few main aurors pulling rank and giving orders. Those were the ones she would have to watch out for, as people like that often had the power to match their rank. It had been hard getting used to the flowing robe for the first while, as she preferred going without it. The woman had been sure to wear nondescript black clothing beneath, in case she had issues fighting with the silly clothing magicians enjoyed donning. By force of habit her hair was tied tightly to her head in a braid, she was used to physical combat as well. Her gaze hardened as she recognized one of her associated. One of the few who stuck out in her mind. He was dangerous. He had saved her life once. She couldn't allow someone to have that much leverage against her. For all intensive purposes she ignored him. Seeing Amaranth was like looking at something that was inexplicably distorted. It seemed as though something was always moving as it shouldn't when he was around. It made her uncomfortable, though this was barely noticeable. If she could but have such a commanding presense when people saw her... The woman listened intently, her eyes never quite focusing, while she ran through what she knew of Hogwarts once more. Then, he was gone. Figuring out the ways of the Dark Lord was something she had long since given up. Her eyes narrowed as he started talking and she quietly came forward, her hiding place had not been apparent, she doubted if anyone had noticed her. At his words she felt a small rush run through her veins. It was the same with anything, her body knew what was coming and was preparing itself. She did not speak as she approached him, it was unnecessary, and took a place to his side. The woman's gaze turned to him for a brief moment as she re-adjusted her mask and her lips twitched into what might have been considered a smile. This time she would be watching his back. The masked woman waited silently for someone to organize the group before wondering if that defeated the purpose. "Let's not stand about like yuppies, then." Her voice was almost bitterly sarcastic and cut through the air with the precision of a shotgun. In situations like this she prefered action, standing around would eventually drive her insane; if the case had been different she wouldn't have spoken at all. She did not add that it seemed likely Addie would be in the Great Hall. It would raise questions she did not want to answer. But that would be where she went, she would prefer not going alone. That was where most of the aurors were too. Edited by Vile Masked Woman, Jan 12 2012, 09:03:04 PM.

"Shall we split up then?" She asked, snapping a twig under her Chanel heel. "I don't believe we should charge in at one location all at the same time. It would alert the entire castle, thus giving time for the girl to hide." The woman crossed her arms and glanced at the dark cloaks around her. For now, these were her allies, her comrades. She had no idea of whom they were in the day, or what they did, or what their motive was. As of now, they were simply the Knights of Walpurgis. Although she had tried her best to hide it, Annik sincerely hoped that her daughter would stay out of the way and be spared. If she had any harm done, then it would simply be her fault. "I agree wholeheartedly." Annik smirked at the woman standing beside her. Nothing could stand in her way. The Dark Lord had given orders and Annik was going to follow them as he wished. |

The masked men and women gathered around, and Blackwood particularly picked one of them from the crowd, following her with his gaze for only a moment before facing the looming castle ahead. He had recommended her to the ranks KoW some time ago. Young, but talented. And she owed him her life now, something he was rather pleased about. The man knew it was impossible to find anyone with the capabilities of being grateful among his associates, but most of them were just as proud as him, possibly more. And if the woman ever felt like replaying the favour, he wouldn't count on it but neither would he object. The hooded wizard nodded mutely. The Dark Lord's followers often acted in chaos, sometimes running blindly into action with blood on their mind. That was not Blackwood's modus operandi, especially when the castle was crawling with Aurors and Enforcers. There was always an invisible string pulling him into action but not even with his true face on would he disregard his brain. His life always came before entertainment, or anything else for that matter. "Yes," he drawled, answering both women at the same time, "we need to be quick." "I take the great hall," Blackwood added evenly, drawing his wand once more, the word Kemp on his mind. But first they had to get inside. His sure long steps led him decisively towards the castle. |

The woman listened as patiently as one could while waiting for a group to organize. She had no suggestions as to what people should do and certainly wouldn't appreciate being told what to do either. She knew where she was going. Though she toyed with various entry routes. It would perhaps be prudent to pair up and have everyone enter from a different point- or would that be spreading themselves too thin? Arabeth was not a tactician, she normally only had to account for herself. Which was easy enough. She knew perfectly well what she was capable of. With a small motion, her wand became drawn. It was hidden in the arms of her robe, but she held it with a relaxed and reassured grip. Then, without a word, she followed the masked man, keeping a few paces behind him and to the side. Her movements as silent as they could be while wearing gaudy clothing. It would be quite a sight to see the Knights make there way through the woods to the castle... Rarely seen or heard. Like an airbourne poison. She followed the man before her as she would follow any prey; it did not matter that they were comrades, ready to fight a battle together. |
