| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Brock Baker allows the Chuck Norris meme to exist. So Halle-Brock! (I'll write out what I remember.) One: Halcyon chances upon him as he's going to shower/change after a morning run. And is suitably stunned by his attire and manliness. (This should happen ASAP <3) Later that day he pops by one of her classes (Year One or Two) and flusters her so much she makes an example of him in front of the student. He turns this against her by pretending she botched turning him back into himself. /There was also one where he comes by, flusters her but then redeems himself by helping her get control of her class. (I can't remember how they played out.) Two: Halloween, Brock happens to find out about her fear of bats. She passes out. Thing ensue. Cylas enters the picture? (I feel like there should be more...) |

See, you got it right. ^^ I thought the class with Brock's little act and the one where he pacifies her students could be separate. The latter could happen with older kids and probably later on? And a while ago (only now remembered) I got a vague idea about Brock 'inviting' Halle to his class for some assistance. But I didn't quite figure out where it could lead. Or he could take her along on an excursion to the Forbidden Forrest... /end wild ideas spamming Oh, and if we did the first plot on the first day of 7th year (or a day before that) then we would be able to do that sooner, I guess. But there would be no classes then... Just saying. Or would you rather do that entirely OOT? |

Right, two seperate classes. I can't imagine she'd find eleven year olds too troublesome. Well... (Later on would be fine too. Maybe it can help her hate him less? Haha. Or we could do it after the stuff with Cylas blows over? Or would he be 'meaner' while all that's going on, I wonder...?) Which class is he teaching? Magical Concept? (Lol Brock teaching.) I can't imagine what he'd need help with. She's not particularly organized nor would he have any problem keeping a class under control... Halle wouldn't be very good at sitting in and joining a debate either... Maybe to make a point of some sort about a lesson? I do like the idea of going into the Forbidden Forest. But she would certainly have to have a good reason for going with him. Alone. Or maybe it could be something like a detention? (I don't know why they'd go to the FF, but it would certainly require an auror guard. :P) Hmm. Yeah, and Brock might be a little less mean later on.  ... Actually, he would probably be somewhat pissed off during the thing with Cylas, yeah. So then he might be more snarky. But I guess that once he finds out about Cylas pining for Hazel (or at least that he's not into Halle), he.... wait, he might actually tell Halle, that bastard.  Yeah, I think it would go very well with his unhealthy honesty (especially when it can benefit him). I imagine Halle might be really angry with him then.... And THEN Brock could do the pacifying thing to sort things out between them? I mean, he would definitely not like it if his hobby avoided him or refused to talk to him, lol.lolno, MC would be too much for both of us. ^^ It should be DADA. But yeah, I suppose it will be... interesting. Maybe he could use her for a demonstration? Perhaps he'd need to show some spells to the lower years and could use someone to cast them, or maybe we could think of something that is common for both Transfiguration and DADA and have a sort of joint class (that could probably only happen later on, when/if she begins to trust him)?Oooh, detention sounds great! I think Brock would be a guy to give some nasty detentions (perhaps to collect unicorn dung, lol). But he wouldn't ask her to go with him alone. That could sound too creepy. Maybe we could even have something bad/dangerous happen? Like if they split up, each with a few kids. (or even all together)I.... am definitely not patient enough for that, lol. |

I think she would already be trying to avoid him like the plague. Halle would be totally at a loss if Cylas told her what had happened. I don't know if she'd be angry, but certainly all of the progress Brock'd made with her would be lost. Right back to square one as it were. Jibbering mess any time they chance upon each other. I do imagine she'd refuse to talk to him, or even illicit any sort of response. (It's sort of cute. *~~*) DADA? Was about to suggest a Mad-Eye-Moody thing and remembered he was MLE. Uhm. (Like Imperious, not Crucio or Avada Kedavra, LOL.) Common to Transfiguration and DADA? Hmm. (He'd have a lot of sucking up to do. XD) But uhm. DADA and Halle. I will think on it. Hopefully will come up with something. Maybe something involving ;asbganhk;nadsiong  Ohhhh. That would work, the spliting up thing. And be awesome. I could have Halle get attacked by some giant spiders or something. (This would probably also have to happen after she starts to like him a bit again. Or he could trick her into it. And it becomes something that builds trust/whatever.) I wonder how she'd perform in such a situation. I imagine she'd somehow allow for the kids to escape and then... trip over a root or something. : P Hmm, me neither. : ) (So, after our current thread ends? XD Just so we don't go into a Brock-Halle deficit?) |

Nonono, not Cylas! lol The only bastard here is Brock as far as I know. I meant what if Brock told Halle Cylas is not at all interested in her (and that he has someone else, perhaps)?  Imperius on Halle? I mean, a spider is one thing... Hh, I think Brock could be very persuasive - or at least he thinks so. Involving what?Awesome, we need to do that! lolz, tripping sounds great and it would be a great way for them to get closer. I agree, because that would be really bad, lol. Ohhh. I wonder how she'd react. She'd probably be confused he brought it up at all. And then a little annoyed and embarrassed. But I think she'd actually handle it in a very adult way. She wouldn't be head over heels for Cylas, she's more practical than that. (and wouldn't really stand a chance, anyways...) More likely she'd just be quite interested in why he'd bothered going through all the trouble of finding out and then telling her about it. ; ) Well, kind of like how he used it on Harry and Harry overcame it. My mind just went there, lol. I doubt she'd let him do something like that though. Involving... my brain being more awake. What's Dark Arts-y and Transfiguration-y? Maybe something to do with determining if an object has been transfigured, or something? Or we could do something impromputt where she decides to find him (not knowing he has a class) and then awkwardly ends up assisting in a demonstration or something? XD Pahaha. Got to get them close and personal or it's not as much fun. Oh, she'll be quite irked he had to save her from a giant spider. :3 LOL. (So I can see her thinking he might cut off one of the appendages to take home as a sort of trophy. I don't know why that suddenly came to me. but LOL. Anyways.) <3 |

Hh, Brock would probably think it would annoy her a lot (especially if he had some reason to think she's really into Cylas, even if she isn't all that much), and maybe a bit disappointed it doesn't, at first. And her turning this whole thing against him would probably take Brock by surprise. But I guess we should come up with something that would make her angry with him. ^^ I see. Well, I don't think Brock would use an unforgivable on her. I think he considers it low to curse women, unless they are KoW, and he probably believes he could naturally charm her into doing stuff if he wanted to, lol. Oh, but he might ask her to cast Imperio on him, so he could show the students how to overcome it. And we could definitely do her unexpected visit! ^^ Then she could help with whatever he'd be doing... Or, maybe he might demonstrate how to defend oneself against a skilled transfigurator(?). With distraction, I think, although he would have to go for a different kind than if they were alone. lolol, Brock with a spider's leg over one shoulder and Halle over the other marching into Hogwarts. But personal is definitely fun, and he would be so smug for having saved her. He'd likely never stop reminding her. .. Well, she could counter with his falling off the broom. And a good thing about the Forbidden Forest plot is that we could invite some Seventh years into the mix.

I was going to respond to this earlier but your Brock post distracted me. /fans self /OK. Haha. What could Halle do to convince Brock she was really into Cylas? XD I mean, I doubt she'd do much more than stare (longingly) every once in awhile. Oh, I am very sure he can turn the whole thing against her. That seems to be his speciality. Halcyon seems to be good at surprising him. : o But for seperate ideas to get her really mad at him? I mean, he just has to open his yowler in most cases. (Any teasing done on what is happening right now would probably suitably piss her off...) Oh, he wishes. (: P) I think Brock is the one person she could actually use an unforgiveable curse on. Haha. So that works out pretty well. I like the defending against a skilled Transfigur...ist...? idea... Would he call Halle skilled though? XD With distraction? That sounds enticing. (Oh right, they're teaching a class, right, right...) Or we could do something where they plan a class like that and go over it the.. uh... night before... : ) Ohgod can't stop laughing. XD It would be poor to take away the only edge she has over him though. But... worth it in the end, I think. Well, I don't think seventh years would run away from a great spider. (I know Alistair wouldn't. But he'd probably run up and try to make friends...) It would be fun to get some other characters involved in their little messes though. Haha. |

I think that's a rather good excuse, lol. Staring could work. And Brock would probably point that out to her. ^^ Hh, they are just so great together. Hmm, I'll ask for some pointers when we get to that bridge, then. I suppose if the news about Cylas wouldn't get to her, he could reach for a higher calibre. Hh, a man's ego is limitless. At least his appears to be. So we could do both! And no, Brock certainly wouldn't call her skilled, unless he was mocking her so he actually just might. That kind of distraction would be unadvised in class. Oooh, I like the way you're thinking. Yeah, we should do that! Instead of another RPed class.It would be only fair. Lol, Alistair making friends with a giant spider? I'd like to see that. But Beth wouldn't run either. Actually, probably not even as a 3rd year. Maybe there could be a mix of older and younger students. Or they could just encounter more spiders!Oh, I got an idea... but it would require for them to almost be friends for Brock to do that (or Halle could ask him). He could help her overcome her bat-phobia with a boggart. (She could even learn his fear, although I'm not sure what that would be - because he fears nothing, Chuck Norris fears him!)

Ohhh dear. That would be embarrassing for her. (They are incredible together. XD) But she could very easily play something like that off. (What am I talking about, Halle being suave? What?) Hmmm. We'll have to see how it plays out, I spose. I mean, he can always tease her about the 'bat' thing. XD Both sounds good. I especially like the thought of doing something after hours. ; ) Of course... she probably wouldn't even need him to do any sort of distracting the next day if something happened the night before. She'd probably end up distracting herself. XD But, uhm. Yes. That would be fun! Yea, Alistair and Beth are awesome. A swarm of spiders. Well, Halle'd be a little screwed if she ended up tripping. (We could do something where they fight back to back somehow. That would be awesome.) But then the score doesn't get evened out. Well, she's still a spazz, so falling at any time is totally legit. Maybe.. he could try doing it without her permission? PAHAHA. (It might end up scarring her for life, but...) How would he even suggest something like that without mocking her? I find it hard to believe she'd bring it up. I do like the fact of her finding out his fear. (Whatever it may be...) You know, even out the score. ( : (LOL, the boggart turns into Chuck Norris.) Oh, I think Brock might try to surprise Halle by being completely professional. lol, I know exactly what he would do to wind her up! *evil laugh* I bet she would be! We might need to make a timeline with the amount of stuff we've come up with.:D They are! lolol Brock and Halle fighting back to back. They would so rock! And falling should totally be fitted in. Perhaps resulting in a twisted ankle or something? "Hi Scare, I got you a new wardrobe!" lol, I think he might do that. If they were on friendly terms, he could intend to cure her of her fear, but if not... maybe it could be a revenge for something or...? If she faints on Halloween, I don't think he would risk killing her without a reason. (His boggart would run away screaming! lol)And maybe we could have someone overhearing a part of their conversation. I was thinking about her animagus thingy. Since she's registered, Brock would find out when he looks through her files (while searching for her name :P). And then he might demand she showed it to him. Except the person listening might think they're talking about something else. (what's with Brock and the misunderstandings? :D) |
