| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Ian rose to his feet as the others began to leave. Tortal's response had caused him to have to stifle a laugh rather noticeably. Kemp, at least, noticed, and shot him a stony glare. Ian stared back, but said nothing. Neither of them moved. Then, Ian turned and left. But he hung back just a moment, outside the door to the classroom. "Professor Charles Tortal," he heard Kemp say, "I need you to come with me." Deciding that it would not be best for Kemp to find him eavesdropping should the men leave the room, Ian turned and walked as casually as he could down the hall towards the stairs. |
![]() Thanks Beth! I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin' I heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world I heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin' I heard ten thousand whisperin' and nobody listenin' I heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin' Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall. --Bob Dylan | |

"I'd prefer to finish this cigar, Mr. Kemp," Charles stated, dotting every I and crossing every t. "Please, boys," he called at the aurors standing around the door, "Help yourself to some Italian chardonnay - it's in that cupboard there." Professor Tortal pointed and sucked on the end of his now ignited cigar as he walked across the front of the class. He took a seat and meticulously rearranged some papers on his desk, holding his cigar in between his lips.

"If any one of you touch that cabinet," said Kemp, "I'll have your badge." Kemp knew that the man was playing with him. This made him both infuriated and confused, his confusion infuriating him even more. He'd allowed the students to leave so that this could be easier--they wouldn't get any further than their common rooms, in any case. How could Tortal possibly have the gall to disrespect him when there is nothing to prevent him from using force. "Tortal," said Kemp, "Enough of your games. There are no students left for you to put on a show in front of. My men and I are prepared to use force. All I need is for you to come with me." Edited by Abraxas Kemp, Jan 8 2012, 10:00:55 PM.

"Surely you've got time for pleasantries in these such... sour times, Mr. Kemp," Charles said, standing, taking another drag of his cigar. He pinned the cigar between his middle and index fingers and dropped his hand to his side. |

"Surely, I do not," said Kemp. The Enforcer drew his wand and pointed it at Tortal's face, right between his eyes. "Put out the cigar. Come with me," he commanded. |

"That is quite a shame," Tortal sighed, taking another drag of his cigar, merely blinking as Kemp retrieved his wand. "I'll come with you," Charles agreed, his voice dark, a cloud of smoke circling his head, "But the cigar stays." He sucked on the end of his cigar again; igniting the tip in a fiery blaze. |

Kemp knew not to lower his wand just yet. "Fine," he growled, "Follow me. All of you, keep your wands on him." Thought Kemp did not wish to cause a stir in the halls, he knew Tortal had to be watched as he was escorted. In any case, the students should all be in their common room, so Kemp did not expect too many witnesses. The time was at hand. Abraxas Kemp and his aurors lead Charles Tortal from the room. |
