Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? About careers and the end of 7th year

Posts: 149 Group: Gryffindor Member #401 Joined: May 9 2008 Gender Female Blood Status Muggleborn Age 18 Location Australia Real Name Lydia	So I know everyone's planning their finals and have already sorted out how many kids they're going to have and their careers sorted lol; I guess I'm just wondering, because I want to keep my character as well as starting a nxt gen one too.. what type of career we can have.. Can it be anything, or does it have to be something within the site? (Professor, Ministry of Magic stuff etc) I'm going to end up pushing the trolley through the hogwarts express at this rate D: whats going to happen when 7th year is finished.. I know it's a while away, I just want to be ready I hope this makes sense :\

But if there's anything else you can think of, you can PM any admin and check it by us, and we'll either approve or deny it.

Seventh Year Posts: 2,280 Group: Slytherin Member #1,536 Joined: Aug 14 2010 Gender Male Blood Status Pureblood Age 22 Real Name Tony Ray Vick Character Age 17 RP Relationship Status Single RP Location Azkaban	I would like to take the opportunity to point out that though there will be a Ministry of Magic next gen, and they'll do pretty much everything that the Ministry is supposed to do (taxes, law enforcement, healthcare, keeping the wizarding world as much of a secret as possible, other government stuff) they are essentially a faction that is opposed by at least two others, one of which has most of the real power and doesn't believe that the wizarding world even needs a Ministry. So, yes, Ministry employment will be open, but this Ministry will be a re-established one based on the one that was destroyed, and will have been started by SAVIOR after the war against Azariah (which technically, hasn't even started yet). So, anyone working for the Ministry will be a target for the lassiez-faire oriented faction. (Not that you'll be kidnapped or tortured, just that they'll do everything in their power to make your job harder, and, yeah, maybe there might be some kidnapping going on, but only if we want it to).
