| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. "Sooo... I'll see you around soon then?" the girl asked, wide-eyed and obviously hopeful. "Ehhh... maybe." said Collin, pulling away but leaving a hand resting carelessly around her waist. He smiled reassuringly, though, when she began to look a little put out. That lifted her spirits again. Oh, it was so easy to make them think he cared. Collin leaned in close, pressing his lips to her ear. They split into a smile as he felt a shuddery wave envelope her body. That was the best part: being able to experience the thrills he gave people. He walked his fingers to the back of her neck and breathed out an, "I'll come looking for you..." in a whisper that ached with phony intimacy. Of course, he wouldn't really come looking. Why bother when she'd come back for him? Waste of effort, really. BANG. "'Scuze me, but what exactly do you think you're doing?" A voice that shook with anger came from the doorway. Collin rolled his eyes but made no motion to release what was ostensibly the angry boy's significant other. "Not much, how about you?" Collin said smoothly, a smirk creeping across his face. With this the boy snapped and lunged forward, wand at the ready. With one motion, Collin spun the girl out with his left arm and gripped the boy's wand wrist with his other. He plucked his wand from his hand. "I don't fight that way, kid. And I don't think you want to fight my way." He tossed the boy's wand to the girl, but it flew to the floor instead. She'd run out, frightened of the oncoming confrontation. Good. She wasn't meant to see this anyway. "What're- What're you tryin'a pull, eh? Y-you think you can just take anyone's girl? N-not mine you can't!" Eyes welling with tears of fury, fear and mortification, the boy gritted his teeth and swung again, managing a feeble punch to Collin's right cheek. Collin pushed him back into a group of chairs, furious he'd been caught off guard. "Who are you to say I can't?" The boy staggered to his feet and swung again, aiming for a right hook. Again, Collin caught him by the wrist and swung his own fist towards the boy's face. The boy flew backward and caught his robes on a desk, tearing them as he fell. He slipped getting up, hitting his head against the ground and laying still. Collin towered over him. The boy had a black eye and a trickle of blood escaping from his mouth. But he wasn't unconscious. Not yet anyway. "Get up! You want to fight me, you last the whole fight!" he shouted, pulling him up harshly by the arm and feeling that ever more familiar thrill as he felt the arm crack as he twisted it. The boy yelped, looking up at Collin in terror, other arm raised in a defensive fist. Collin already had his raised, daring the kid to have another go at him. |

Needing a break from what had been a stressful day, Scarlett wondered into the Unused Classroom. A room she expected to be thankful escape was full of chaos. A girl with a horrified look on her face ran out of the classroom, practically knocking Scarlett off her feet in the process. When she regained her balance her eyes widened in shock. A very tall and well-built student was leaning over another and it took Scarlett only a second to realize what was going on. The poor student on the ground was obviously on the losing side. Scarlett opened her to mouth to say something but stopped herself to think about it. Why get yourself dragged into another situation? Just walk away. Just leave. She deeply considered it as it seemed neither of the two ‘fighters' had noticed her yet. She began to wonder why all of sudden she kept finding herself involved in everyone else's' business. First it was Melanie and now it was this bully. The part of her that was mentally exhausted told her to just turn around and pretend like she saw nothing. Then the standing student raised his hand to deliver another blow and so the good part of Scarlett made her stay. She ran in between the two students, facing the one still ready to fight. She grabbed his hand and pushed it away, though it had little effect against his strength. "STOP," she exclaimed, "You've already won! Let him be!" |

Collin was about to swing when he saw something--someone, rather--jump in front of him, shouting and pushing at him. A little taken aback, Collin lowered his fist and instead placed it on the girl's shoulders to keep her from trying to forcibly restrain him. Unfortunately, this meant the fight had to come to an end. No spectators were allowed. Collin was disappointed. Who did this girl think she was that she could just jump between them? She was only mildly attractive at best anyway. She had no right. He dropped his arms from her and sighed, stepping past her. He motioned to the boy who was now pretending to be unconsious. "Get up," Collin said reluctantly. The boy looked up fearfully, a limp fist raised in protest. "No-" said Collin, exasperated. "No--no get up now. You tripped down the stairs--on the trick one, remember?" Still, the boy didn't move. "Get out!" The boy tripped over himself getting up, but managed to stumble to his wand and out, mumbling the details of the story he was to tell the nurse. Once the boy had gone, Collin turned to the girl. "What's your business here? Being noble?" Collin asked with a smile. He rolled up the sleeves of his robe as he brought out a non-blood-stained chair for her to sit. Whoever said chivalry was dead obviously hadn't met Collin Wickham. He was more relaxed now; his attitude completely changed now that the fight had ended. "Or did Sasha tell you I was giving out free makeout sessions?" he asked, referring to the girl that had run out. "Because you have to earn those," he said, smirking playfully. He was turning on the charm. He couldn't help it-- it was just how he was. He wasn't really all that interested in this girl, though. By the looks of her, most likely a know-it-all Ravenclaw that felt she had to stick up for justice or something stupid. Oh well. Women are women and polite is polite. No matter what the situation. "Do you have a name? I'm Collin Wickham," he said, flashing one of his more breathtaking smiles and reaching out to take a hand to guide her to the seat. He had a feeling this one would take some smoothing over based on her expression. |

The boy seemed rather surprised that Scarlett had intervened. Frankly, she was too. She was right when she early thought trying to stop him was useless. She didn't even make him move as he reached out to stop her. She glared into his eyes as he seemed to take a good look at her. She wondered what he was trying to find by doing so. In what seemed like a change of heart, he went over to the defeated student. Except, instead of gently helping him, he commanded him to get up instead. The boy stumbled out of the room but before Scarlett could chase after him to see if he was alright, the student's attention was back on her. Again it seemed as if a switch had been flipped, as he was smiling at her now. Confused, she didn't know how to act. Unlike her, he seemed to be able to control his emotions on a whim. She wondered if really felt for anything or if it was all an act. He was definitely playing up his charms, something he obviously had a lot of practice with. She had to give him credit, he was good. Had she been any other girl she would have fallen for it. And to be honest, if she hadn't seen what he did to that student her guard might of gone down. But only a little. "Thanks, but no thanks. By the looks of it, your standards seem pretty low so I'm sure you'll find someone else later," she noted, referring to his empty advances, "Besides, you're not really my type." Now, instead of the disgust she initially felt for him, she, dare she say, admired him almost. She thought back to the girl that ran out and knew instantly that he had probably tricked her into doing whatever he wanted. She was curious as to what it'd be like to be able to control someone so easily just by saying the right words. Collin Wickham was his name. He obviously got around but since Scarlett didn't she had never seen or heard of him before. What a shame. "You might be able to fool and trick others with your charms but I can tell you right now you won't get me," she said honestly. At least not right away. This guy was dangerous and she knew it. If she kept hanging around, she knew that the walls that she had to keep everyone out would fall. Still, she couldn't help but want to know how did what he did. Not only did he have everyone wrapped around his finger, but he beat that kid up without any hesitation. No remorse, no guilt. To live with hardly any emotion, Scarlett was curious to such a lifestyle. Could she pull it off? "Well Collin, under any other circumstance, I might have said it's nice to meet you, " she commented, "Your little show tells me you know you're way around. Not just with your fists either. Do you always fight others with such ease?" She wasn't sarcastic or mad, simply curious. (ooc: crap post) |

Collin couldn't hold back his smirk. Oh yes, she was definitely either a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor. Too much spunk for a Hufflepuff and too much so-called dignity for a Slytherin. Too many of them had pulled their, "I'm too good for you, you man-ho" thing on him to startle him. He knew better. He wasn't sure why the girl's did it. It was such a pointless obstacle to bother avoiding. Like that little fling with Criselda at the Yule Ball... she didn't need much convincing for a proud little Gryffindor. Maybe they didn't want to seem easy? Who knows. Collin wasn't into figuring out the female mind anyway. All he wanted to do was flirt with it. He barely held back a laugh as she let him know he 'wasn't her type'. Yeah, okay. How many times had he heard that one? He'd been around the block enough times to realize that Collin Wickham? Well, he was everyone's type. "I'm sorry, I wasn't hitting on you if that's what you're thinking. Don't flatter yourself--my standards are much higher than you think," he said, scooching the chair behind her and pressing it against the back of her knees as an encouragement to sit. "There's this thing called 'chivalry' you might have heard of. I don't think abiding by it's laws make me the scoundrel you're making me out to be. And I'm not tricking anyone," he said with a wink. He was aiming to make her feel foolish and get her head out of those blasted clouds girls always seem to have their heads in nowadays. Get on my level, girly. He smirked as she continued her little 'high and mighty' speech. Blah, blah, blah. Collin could feel himself zoning out, a bunch of testosterone-induced images of Precious Hindert going through his mind were much more interesting now than little miss goody-two-shoes here. "...Do you always fight others with such ease?"" Wait... what? Collin snapped out of his little daydream. What was she on about now? First she's lecturing him and now she wants to know about his awesome right hooks. Admittedly, they were pretty spectacular, but... Girls are so hard to follow! "Well, I-- I mean..." Collin rubbed the back of his neck, brow furrowed in confusion. What was the answer she was looking for here? He thought this was going to be one of those smooth, predictable conversations he had all the time. Apparently not. "...I work out a lot..." he offered weakly, still highly dumbfounded. |

He was very intent on making her sit, so much as to practically shove the chair into her. She wouldn't let him get his way though, stepping away from the chair. "I'm fine standing," she said seriously, letting him know that he couldn't control her. Scarlett stared as Collin went on to talk about chivalry. She already knew he wasn't actually hitting on her. She wasn't that naïve. It didn't even bother her when he insulted her in return, bringing back the whole standards discussion. She smiled mockingly as that wasn't the point she was trying to make. She bet that he was used to getting his way. It wouldn't be the case with her, whether he would admit it or not. Her last question obviously threw him off guard, a proud moment for her, though she didn't let it show. She laughed when he was barely able to give an answer. His answer was silly as well, his confusion even more obvious. "That's not what I meant," she said, finally looking away. Having no emotion the way he seemingly lived appealed to her. It would make life much easier for her. She wouldn't be half as inclined to be so involved like she suddenly was. In fact, she realized if she was like that now she wouldn't be in the situation she was. Of course, she now must live with knowing that three students were responsible for another's death. What she really meant scared her. She never felt so…cold before. She wasn't even sure how to say it or if she really meant it. This could very well just be a phase. Maybe her tolerance of people was just extremely low today. Still, right now she had to know. If it was easy, maybe, just maybe she would live that way too. "Don't you feel anything, hurting someone like that," she asked, so quietly she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't hear. "You toss girls aside like that and fought that kid without even thinking…Doing those things, is it really that easy for you?" Edited by Scarlett Fischer, Jun 30 2011, 11:04:46 PM.

Stupid girl. Stupid, ungrateful little prick. Stupid. Collin wanted to punch her in the face too. What was it with these stupid girls nowadays? Can't people just accept what their given? It's just a stupid chair for Merlin's sake! Sit down! Dumb girl, laughing. What did she know? It was her own vague question that left him looking like an idiot. How was anyone supposed to answer a question like that? Dumb, stupid, stupid, dumb. Whatever. He'd been raised polite, if anything. Stupid girl. Collin smiled, despite his interior anguish and pulled the chair away from her. "Do I feel anything?" he smirked, "Well, every once and a while my knuckles bruise..." he said, jokingly. His smile faded though, as he looked at her serious expression. What did she mean? Did he feel anything emotionally? Who was this girl, walking in and interrogating him like this? He didn't even know her name! "I don't know," he said, rubbing his neck again. A habit he did when he was uncomfortable. "I might feel bad later, but it's the heat of the moment, y'know?" he said, his eyes poring into hers to see if she understood. "I mean, I feel stuff fine! I'm not a robot!" he said, teeth gritted suddenly defensive, "I feel protective of women, I feel love, I feel sadness, I feel anger mostly... but that doesn't mean I show it all the time! You don't know what I'm thinking about you at all, do you? Because having emotions doesn't mean I have to tell the world about them!" he said, suddenly shouting, being downright scary. He stopped suddenly, now aware of what he'd been saying. Why was he even bothering telling her this stuff. Who cared. His brow furrowed once more as he realized he'd gone too far. "I don't even know your name," he said, his smooth, polite voice coming back into play. |

After his rant, she smiled slightly. "It's Scarlett." Except now she was disappointed in him. Maybe he wasn't what she was looking for after all. He sudden outburst showed that. "I apologize," she explained, "I hadn't meant to offend." His yelling had scared her not because of what he said but rather for another reason all together In the few moments she had known him, she had put him on a pedestal. Her idea that he was in control of his emotions just crushed. He was proving to her that she couldn't completely rid herself of emotions. She knew it was possible though. It had to be. If you could not care about a class or what someone said about you, why couldn't you not care about anything in life at all? But right now she did care about one thing he said. "You don't know what I'm thinking about you at all, do you?" What did he think of her? She was being so random right now. They had never met before and here she was, questioning his feelings, his motives. "You're right I have no idea," she affirmed, staring straight at him, "Please, enlighten me. If you care, I'll tell you why I asked you about feelings in the first place." |

Was this girl just trying to be mysterious? Was that why she was being so vague? Well, it wasn't mysterious. It was just kind of annoying. Stupid girl. He was liking her less and less by the minute. Now she looked disappointed. Well, she asked... He'd answered. He shouldn't have, admittedly, because he'd done what he only does on very few occasions: let all his raw emotions go. Well, almost all of them. He wasn't about to tell her to her face how much he couldn't stand her. That part could stay hidden. But what made him nervous was that he'd shown weakness. That stupid girl had made him snap just enough to get him going. Well, she didn't know the half of it. She didn't know his past! She didn't know his one emotion that he'd gotten rid of entirely. Remorse. After that incident with... No, that was over. He wasn't revisiting that memory. "I'm sorry, but I really don't care," Collin said honestly. "I'd actually rather leave," He'd had enough of this stupid conflict. Or whatever it was. He pushed his chair backwards in the rest of them and began to walk past her. [OOC: this is your cue to get into his head. Literally. Haha, I'll tell you what info I want to have Scarlett use as blackmail in a PM later, so I'd hold off posting till then.) |

Once again, Collin went back to brushing everything off once he calmed down. She really found him interesting now but he was fed up and started to walk away. Without really thinking about it, she reached out and grabbed his wrist to stop him. Then it happened. A flash of white and she found herself somewhere unfamiliar. Of course after a few moments she recognized the castle's grounds. Immediately she knew that what happened in the bathroom earlier was happening again. Scarlett was looking around at a horribly crippled girl and a red head that seemed very angry at her. "Let's face it honey, you don't have any other attractive qualities. Unless being a shallow, self-absorbed, immature, ignorant, ugly, cold-hearted GIT is suddenly a turn on," the student spat. Scarlett didn't know what the girls problem was but the limbless girl seemed just as mad. She as well knew how to stick up for herself. "I even pity that girl who ends up with some inbred bastard like you," All of a sudden Scarlett was mad, very mad. She could feel every part of her body bubbling with anger. Then before she knew it, a fist, her fist struck the red-headed girl. The girl was strong and got right back up. Now Scarlett felt sick to her stomach after realizing her actions. The limbless girl went after Scarlett, she struggled and once again was angry, pushing the girl up against a tree. All the while, her head kept screaming STOP! But nothing happened. The girl went limp, the red head was pushed Scarlett off and started screaming but to her it was inaudible. She felt numb. Now they were in the hospital wing. Once again, the red head was yelling at nurse but to her as well. Scarlett couldn't hear as the feeling of complete self-hatred for her actions swept over. The next scene was Scarlett, with the two girls again, saying how sorry she should feel. She did but at that moment she felt annoyed and hated being taunted. So when they finally asked if she was sorry, she gave a clear and blunt "No." Just like that, the memory was over and Scarlett was back in her own body. The rush of emotions took over it as if she really did all of those horrible things. She backed away from Collin, needing to breathe. She faced the window, thinking how much she wanted to jump out and fly away and to forget what she saw. When she closed her eyes, she recognized the horrible truth. It wasn't her that fought those two girls, but Collin. When she touched him, she saw the events happen before her eyes, literally. Just like with the faucet in the bathroom, when she touched Collin, his horrible secret was revealed. The scene in the bathroom was almost a bird eye's view but this was so much different. To be the person as the scene replayed before her? It was too much. She would later make a note that the emotions he felt carried over as well. Now, she faced Collin once again. Like before she felt disgusted and curious. He had hit two girl yet he now perfectly hid all of his feelings about it. He told them he wasn't sorry but Scarlett knew the truth. And she would use it against him. He would teach her to be like him. "…Margo," she recalled from his memory, closing her eyes, "And Fera. Those are the names of those girls right? How long have you been hiding this?" |

Collin was halfway across the room when Scarlett grabbed his wrist and began making strange punching gestures with glazed over eyes. A little worried, Collin backed up, letting her go like that. Okay, I knew this girl was weird, but I didn't think she was like... mentally disturbed weird. For a minute or so, Collin debated whether he should just leave or maybe smack her in the face until she snapped out of it. Was it the Imperious Curse? He'd seen people under it, but they never did this psycho stuff. He took a hesitant step forward in an attempt to inch from the room when she snapped straight and looked him in the eye. "...Margo. And Fera. Those are the names of those girls right? How long have you been hiding this?" Collin's heart dropped from his chest and hit the floor in a heap. First this girl was nagging him, interrogating him and now... Fera? Fera. If possible, his heart seemed to sink further, falling into the dirt and rock that was the foundation of Hogwarts. Just as soon as he thought that she was out of his head, out of his life entirely since she hadn't been back this year, this stupid, random, know-it-all girl was pulling apart his neatly sewn-up life at the seams. What did she know about Fera? About Margo? The only time he'd talked to them had been that one time... No, nevermind. What was more important was why she was asking. "What?" he asked, his voice cracking badly, "I don't know what you're talking about." But he was shaking. Why was he shaking? His emotions were whirling around him and everything he felt that day was suddenly catapulted directly into his gut. Guilt. Regret. Remorse. Pain. Sorrow. Emotions he didn't even understand were jammed into him where they just didn't belong. Was it all because she'd brought up Fera? No. Because he didn't care about that. That was done and over with. Didn't he say that day that everyone would just forget about this and move on? Didn't that include him? It did. But he still felt sick. He wanted to throw up. And he still didn't even know why. Who did this girl think she was? And why the bloody hell am I shaking? Edited by Collin Wickham, Jul 2 2011, 12:36:38 AM.

"I don't know what you're talking about." It was obvious by his shaking that she he did in fact know what she was talking about but Scarlett simply nodded as he spoke. Of course he would deny it. Francesca did in the beginning so why would he? She figured it would become part of the routine if she kept learning other people's secrets. She hoped that with time, eventually the denial would only be a minor bump in the road. She just wanted to cut to the chase. She felt pity for him though so she was willing to wait a bit for him to finally admit what she already knew. She felt herself gaining control over the situation and now decided to sit in the chair that he had offered her earlier. She crossed her legs and then began to pick at her nails. "I'd rather not have to wait all night but when you're ready to talk about it let me know," she said smoothly, "I have an offer for you." With that she motioned for him to sit down, while smiling at him deviously. She just hoped he took the bait. |

Alright. This girl definitely was psycho. After having that little episode and now saying random things... how could she not be? Noticing that she had finally taken the seat she'd originally rudely refused, Collin pulled up one of his own, not bothering to check for traces of blood on it. What was she blathering about now? She wasn't making any sense. Maybe she really was just some crazy, psycho girl and her Margo/Fera thing didn't mean anything at all. Maybe she was just blabbering out some names and the two she picked just happened to be coincidentally part of... something he wasn't going to think about. But even if that was the case--that it was all just because of some seizure she'd had--she'd successfully sent his mind into overload with all the bedlam that had filled his memory. "I don't know what you mean," he insisted--this time, truthfully. "What offer?" as bewildered and disturbed by her behavior as he was, he was a little curious. But still a little impatient. If she didn't explain herself quickly, he was getting out of there before whatever poltergeist that was messing with her started to target him. |

Scarlett as Collin once again insisted that he had no idea what she was talking about. Now she was getting annoyed. Did she really have to explain? Maybe he had deluded himself into thinking it didn't happen. Fine, if he didn't want to remember then Scarlett would make him. "Let me get straight to the point then," she sighed, "I want to--well, I want to get better at hiding my emotions. You know, the way you did after you punched that red head and practically strangled that disabled girl." There, she said it. If he didn't know what she was talking about before he should now. She waited a few moments before speaking again. She wanted to let it sink in. "You try to come off as cold, scary and I'm sure ‘heartless," she went on, "But we both know that's not the case, especially after your incident." She recalled the event and knew that deep down Collin had a felt something after realizing what he'd done. "Though you do a good job of hiding it," she continued, "I know you can help me. In return, I promise I won't say anything about your outburst." That was true but she would say anything to persuade him to help her. Scarlett wasn't one for blackmail but if got her what she wanted well she wasn't going fight it now. His secret was the only thing she had against him. She narrowed her eyes and threatened, "I know we don't know each other but I'm sure you've got a reputation to uphold. Maybe hitting a girl might get you some respect, but I wonder how people would view you if they found out actually felt bad?" Edited by Scarlett Fischer, Jul 2 2011, 10:13:46 PM.

Okay, so maybe what he thought hadn't happened really did happen. Or maybe they were both crazy. "Look, I don't understand why you know this stuff, but---" but she interrupted him again. "I know we don't know each other but I'm sure you've got a reputation to uphold. Maybe hitting a girl might get you some respect, but I wonder how people would view you if they found out actually felt bad?" On what planet did hitting a girl get you respect?! She had it all backwards. She didn't understand. It wasn't like that. Collin shifted uncomfortably in his chair, rubbing the back of his neck. Obviously this girl had some kind of freakish power or something or was using some type of magic against him. Maybe that thing they learned about in class. What did they call it? Ledgeamancy? Linxaninny? Legimento? Oh well. Something like that. What was bugging him was the fact that it bothered him so much. He hadn't thought about the incident the rest of that year and all summer. Why did the emotions come back so suddenly and vividly? It was just too weird to comprehend. He hated the feeling. It made him feel weak. Yet he wanted to understand it, and conquer it, as he thought he'd already done. He'd talked himself into it, as weird as it was. Right now, the blackmail didn't even matter. (Well, okay... it mattered a little.) Collin looked up, placing his hands on his knees to appear more relaxed. He exhaled and spoke. "Alright. I'll help you," he said decisively. He hoped he wasn't going to regret this. But he wanted to know what she'd seen of his past, and if she'd understood it any better than he had. Maybe his emotions weren't so mixed up when she felt them. [ooc: as I wrote it, it seemed more appropriate that Collin want to understand his emotions better than have the blackmail be the most important aspect. I think it'll spice the plot up a bit too... hope you don't mind. :P] |

"Alright. I'll help you," Scarlett could breathe again. She really went out on a limb, acting like she had. She had never done so before but apparently her little act worked. She couldn't back down now or he would easily manipulate her. Around everyone else her walls were up but with Collin she'd need walls of steel, a metal fence a lock with no key and whatever to keep him out. She just hoped she could always keep him at a safe distance. "Alright, great," she said delightfully, dropping her attitude. Well that was taken care of…now what? She was careful not to hesitate for too long as he didn't want her to know she had no idea what she doing. In fact, she was starting to think that she might regret this. "Well, tomorrow night after dinner let's meet in the library. No one goes there," she said calmly. Since Scarlett was always there she knew about corners and areas that students hardly visited. They would be safe there and wouldn't be disturbed. "I'll see you then." Without waiting to hear his protests, Scarlett quickly stood up and left the room. She sensed her life would be very different from now on. Her heart was racing with excitement. |

At Scarlett's exit, Collin was left alone to his thoughts. He was still trying to grasp what had just happened. Collin got up and began robotically tidying up the room. So he was supposed to go meet in the library with this Scarlett girl. Who he still didn't really know. He couldn't even remember her last name. Did she tell it to him? He didn't know. And he still didn't entirely understand what she wanted him to do for her. Was he supposed to have a lesson plan? Surely she didn't expect him to teach her to fight. This was all too confusing. As he scourgifyed the chairs and desks, he wondered how he'd even gotten into this situation in the first place. All he was trying to do was have a little fling, and then that kid barged in and the girl ran out and Scarlett just exploded in there. He wasn't sure who to blame. At any rate, his evening plans were gone, and that wasn't something he was looking forward to. Feeling he should leave, just in case there really was a poltergeist in there, Collin left the room. |
