Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Reading my brother's failed attempt to roleplay on HIRP, it inspired me to resurrect this poor fellow.

Even if my single underlying cause is that I'm bored, I'm still doing.

So erm... come plot! Or not...

I think Brennan and Eemon are alike in that air-of-mystery-look-at-my-facade- but Eamon stands for everything Brennan hates most in the world: wealth and status.

Rosalind would probably fall for his charm at first but since he will ultimately snub her, they wouldn't be "friends" for very long. She's an opinionated, fiesty, and hot-tempered Hufflepuff so the aftermath of that would be quite interesting.
^^ the above still stands.

I think Eamon and Laurel would be good together, bringing out the worst in each other and whatnot. They seem to be cut of the same cloth in some ways. Thoughts?

With Mary-Eleanor, things could go either way. She'd be plenty satisfied with his charade and not want to go any further. I think at the least they should hook up at least once. ??

If they ever interacted, Elaine is a girl convinced to find te good in everyone. He could crush her but the girl's a damn boomerang. Muggle born though, so I dunno if he'd ever bother with her in any way, but it could be interesting if he did.

Elsa: Absolutely. Let me know when you're ready. ;)

Brennan & Rosalind: Love it!

Laurel: Do I see an epic duo? Like you pretty much said, they bring out the worst in each other/ cut from the same cloth. I think Eamon would enjoy her company and would have most likely befriended her during her Queen Bee days (and continued the friendship to this day) or could have been friends since childhood (pureblood families mingling). But, as Laurel avoids making attachments as much as Eamon does, this 'friendship' would be fairly superficial and possibly an abomination to those who stand in their paths. When they team up, the big kids cry, the paintings hide and peeves will shit his own pants.

Mary-Eleanor: I think it's safe to say that Mary is sexual harlot and that Eamon won't mind that at all. What guy wouldn't? I think Eamon would appreciate her intelligence and feisty attitude that goes along with her. What do you mean by 'things could go either way'?

Elaine: She'd have to stand out, or at least have walked up to Eamon and made an impression for him to spark any interest. Perhaps maybe he's noticed her tendency to believe that there's always a good in people and find it quite amusing, leading to an attempt to prove her wrong. It goes well and she loses confidence in Eamon's humanity but then witnesses him doing something genuinely nice (not for his own personal gain, amusement, no facade) and then be like "HAHAHA BITCH I TOLD YOU SO" and be all happy for him which pisses him off...

Oh yeah. Umm, I have no idea how Ethan wanted to play this character. So bear with me on this :D

this, this, this, everything about this. particularly "When they team up, the big kids cry, the paintings hide and peeves will shit his own pants." you read my freaking mind, Giselle. I like the childhood friendship idea because I think it makes them more deadly together, if you will. There's not a lot they don't know about each other since they became friends before they became who they are today.

as for Mary, I meant it could go either way as far as them getting on at all, but I like what you said. hahah harlot indeed. any particular plot or ideas or want to throw them together and see if anything comes up?

Elaine -- as far as standing out, she'd pretty good at flying under the radar, but maybe sees him terrorizing someone or they get teamed up for something academic to kick it off? because I like what you've got going there, and I think it'd make it 10x more interesting if maybe she doesn't just witness him doing something genuinely nice but somehow she ends up on the receiving end?

Laurel: I'm a Seer. It's how I roll ;) Love it all. So childhood friends that have basically gone through the years together? Actually, that's better, since they both don't like attachments... this one was bonded before those trust issues ever surfaced so they do have someone that can place their trust in because they have done so for so long. And because they have known each other for so long, like you said: 'it makes them more deadly together'. Absolutely adore this :D

Mary: Well, I was lurking in her plot page and I do indeed see that you're in need of some plottage for Seventh Year. But I don't really have any particular ideas or plots just yet. Do you have any plans or plots or just some ideas for Mary that Eamon could fill in and then we can make it grow from there?

Elaine: Yeah, I think getting teamed up for something academic would be cool. Perhaps like an imaginary project for Defense Against the Dark Arts and that gets them talking about good and evil sort of thing. Yes! Sounds great and it does make it a hundred times more interesting.

Had to think about this one for a bit. So ultimately, my goal for Mary is that she moves away from her father's will and learns to go after her own and become her own person. She also clearly seeks physical intimacy as a substitution for sincere emotional intimacy and I want her to come face to face with the fact that she indeed wants the latter.

Soooooo as far as other people's participation in that plot, there really needs to be another person(s) to propel her towards these realizations, whether by negative or positive interactions. If that makes any sense to you, do you see Eamon in there at all? Or really any of your characters while we're at it.

I love your plot and here are two of my characters that I thought could fit into Mary's plot. If you want my thoughts for another character that I have about their possible role in her plot, just holler (:

- Eamon I think, would be the physical intimacy she constantly craves. He's not for anything beyond that. He'd encourage her to stay superficial and physical when it comes to the opposite sex but won't go to great lengths to stop her. I can imagine Eamon trying to charm(?) and persuade Mary as well.

- Carter would possibly be a negative interaction. Although I can quite imagine him being so in a subtle manner. Mary and Carter could be like an ex-fling turned friends and once Carter and Laurel come together in that juicy plot of ours, Carter can maybe vent to Mary about the bad things that happen when emotions come to play? It'll make her think twice about seeking emotional intimacy and whatnot.

I think, for Mary to consider emotional intimacy, she needs to have a taste... a lick of it to want more. I think you might need someone else's character cause you know, it'll be no fun just having Mary RP with me lol. So Imma go and hunt down some characters that might be good for the plot and like PM you their names and why as a suggestion.

Mary is a very character and one of the few 'sluts' that are well developed and basically awesome. I am very committed to making Mary's plot come alive and in a totally non-stalkerish way :D
