Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Melanie Pickett
Sixth Year & Poster of the 16,000th OOC Reply! :D

Melanie Pickett walked into Moaning Myrtle's bathroom to freshen up a bit. She still had a few minutes before her next class, and she wanted to make it look like she hadn't been on a train for the past few hours. Carefully, so as to not slip on the wet floor, she went up to the mirror and started pinning her hair back. Melanie looked a mess, which was unusual for her. But her sister had just died last Thursday. The funeral had been on Monday, she'd taken Tuesday off to let out all her grief, and now she was back on Wednesday and ready to learn some magical history.

She turned on the faucet and splashed some water on her face. Snap out of it, Mel. Sabrina's in a better place now. You're in a better place, too. You want to learn. Come on. Melanie knew it was better for her to be at school. She still felt guilty leaving her parents alone. They would be fine, though. They'd all be fine eventually.

Somewhere behind Melanie, Moaning Myrtle started moaning. "Ohhh, those Weasleys. Always throwing things at me. I want to take that girl's red hair and wrap it around her neck! And her stupid brother!" Lanie rolled her eyes. Myrtle thought she had it bad. Yeah, right. All day, people would be asking where she'd been, and she wasn't sure she was prepared to answer. All she wanted to do was go up to her dorm and sleep.

But her education must go on.

Francesca, Sommer, and Blake snuck into Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom, being careful not to make a splash in the water. "Look! There she is." She hissed quietly to the other two, and she swiftly dragged them into a stall. She locked the door, still trying to make little noise, and she turned to Sommer and Blake. "Everyone ready for this? This will be amazing." She said, laughing.

Melanie stood by a sink, looking sad and mopey. She had the tap running, and she was splashing water on her face. Francesca didn't know what was wrong with her, and she didn't really care. Something horrible, though, she knew. "What a poor little soul. Blake should violate it." She joked, grabbing him then by the collar. "Be. Careful." She warned. She turned to Sommer, then, nodding to her. "You too. But what can go wrong, right? This is flawless." She said, smiling wickedly.

Sommer sauntered with the both of them, their steps so quiet, yet hard for it to walk in a bathroom flooded with water. Melanie splashing her face drown out their steps, good it meant Melanie not catching them before they could commit to their innocent acts. Blake was pushed and Francesca asked Sommer what could go wrong. Strangely she thought nothing really, except for Melanie attacking them back. She had no wand, forgetting she left it by the dresser next to her poster bed. If Melanie had her wand, she could get them back ten times worst. Physical action never win before magic, it fail, badly. Looking between Francesca and Blake, Sommer sauntered back in protest.

"I'm not sure if this is a good idea. She could you know get us back with her wand, I don't have mines on me" she said worried hinted Sommer's voice. This kind of action will piss the hell off my parents, she thought in rightful concern. If they were caught, and something horrible went wrong, she wonder how she would live with regrets everyday. The whole thing just seem wrong, wrong and she hadn't the slightest idea what may happen. Maybe she's overreacting, she kicked herself mentally, she had to stop acting like the world going to end and just for once live like she all that and more.

Freaking badass.

Blake laughed, quietly, so Melanie would not hear. She was standing by the sink, splashing her face or whatever. The floor was soaked, making it difficult to control how loud their footsteps were. Being pressed into a stall with two girls was more than pleasant, but he forced himself to keep a straight face. Or, rather, he tried to. A small grin did touch his lips.

Francesca asked if everyone was ready. "Well, duh," he answered in a low whisper. Her next comment caused him to roll his eyes. It sounded kind of wrong, so he didn't reply. When Cesca grabbed his collar, Blake looked down at her small figure. "No need to be," he said. What could go wrong? Nothing, really.

The other girl, the Hufflepuff, started. Blake barely suppressed a groan. Of course, the last thing he wanted was for Melanie to find out about their little prank. But he didn't exactly want anybody turning back at the last second. "Are you having doubts?" he asked angrily, turning to Sommer. If she was, it would probably be twice as difficult to leave the bathroom without Melanie noticing, since she seemed almost done. He should pull the prank before their chance was ruined.

Blake made a decision. He pushed on the stall door, turning to face Melanie. Myrtle was distracted, moaning about something stupid involving the Weasleys. Blake didn't care. Melanie looked sad. She would definitely benefit from a little joking around. He glanced back at the stall in which they had hidden. Maybe Francesca would be mad, but she was the one that had suggested it. Cesca'd had her fun, and Blake needed his. Blake reached down, scooping up a handful of water before tiptoeing over to where Melanie stood. He crouched down slightly, holding his breath. Blake gently rubbed his hands together, getting them damp and cold. He grinned wickedly, lifting them to drag them across the back of her neck. He gave a high shriek before scurrying away to hide beneath one of the other sinks.

That should do it.

(This is horribly bad. Just go with it.)

Melanie was drying her face with a paper towel, and she was about to lift her head up and look in the mirror, but she felt water on the back of her neck and heard a high-pitched shriek from behind her. She let out a scream herself and jumped up immediately. She twirled around quickly to see who had done that. As she turned, her feet slipped on the water, and she fell backwards onto the porcelain sink. The back of her head made contact with it, hard, and she lay unconscious and bleeding on the bathroom floor.

Her wish to hold Sabrina one last time might come true.

Francesca heard a crack, something making contact with the porcelain frame of the sink. Francesca heard splashed, one probably being Blake's feet, and the other was louder. Francesca stepped out of the stall, her eyes getting wider. She turned a little, seeing Melanie on the floor, her eyes closed. "Oh my effing god!" Fran screamed, splashing through the water with her feet. She slid over to Melanie, looking down at her. "Blake! Sommer!" She wailed. 'Cesca shook Melanie's head slightly, to no effect. "Melanie, please. Please. Wake up!" She heaved. Tears started to fall. "Please." She whispered, sitting in the cold water. She sniffled as she looked over to Blake, still under the sink. And then to Sommer, still in the stall. "W-What the hell do we do n-now?" She asked, grabbing Melanie's hand.

The water around them turned red. Her head was bleeding from her hitting the sink. "I-I don't know what to do. I don't have my wand." She said, her eyes welling up. "Please, please. PLEASE." She screamed. "Help her!" She screeched. She couldn't help but cry. How had it gone so wrong? The prank seemed so perfect. "It's over." Francesca muttered, "We'll be killed for this." She said, looking between the other two, then back to Melanie. 'Cesca was soaked in the water that surrounded her and Melanie. She kept touching her face and arms, trying to get her back to consciousness. "What do we do?" she huffed, shaking her head.

Freaking badass.

Blake heard a crack, which echoed around Myrtle's bathroom. Confused, he emerged from his hiding place. It took a second for what had happened to register in his head. Melanie wasn't at the sink anymore. No, she was on the floor, bleeding from the head. And Francesca was kneeling next to her, holding the unconcious girl's head.

"Murder! Murder! Murder in the bathroom!" He heard Myrtle screech. Blake dropped to his knees, examining the pool of blood that mixed with the water on the floor. He held his head in his hands. It was his fault. The crimson traces on the sink proved it. He was the one that scared her. She'd fallen as a result of his prank. Melanie seemed almost as though she were... no. He wouldn't think about that.

Francesca was sobbing, crying out to both Blake and Sommer. He crawled over to the girl lying on the floor, placing a hand on her shoulder. He shook her rougly. No response. Blake wrapped a hand around 'Cesca, pulling her closer to him. "I don't know," he whispered. Blake coughed, surveying the girl's lifeless body. He repeated himself in a twisted voice that even he didn't recognize. "I don't know."

The pool of blood grew bigger. It swelled until Blake knew that there was no going back. Melanie was dead. His jeans became soaked with both water and blood, but he didn't care. It was difficult to imagine what would happen to them. Him in particular. He would be punished. Harshly. But he would stand up for the other girls if he needed to.

I killed someone today.

The thought was horrid. He slammed a fist against his head. Rage. Sadness. Hatred. He hated himself. He hated the person who he had considered a target. He hated the teachers that would, without a doubt, force him to face the most horrible consequences possible when they found out.

If they found out.

"We can't tell anybody," he decided, his voice quavering. He pulled away from Francesca, turning his whole body. He wanted to hide the tears that flowed freely from his eyes. From Myrtle. From the two girls who had participated in what was supposed to be a fun joke. From himself, but that was impossible. He dropped his hands from his eyes. They were wet - glistening in the damp light. A mix of tears, water, and, judging by the reddish tint, blood. Myrtle's voice had dropped to a dull whine that harmonized perfectly with Blake's.

(Next should be Sommer.)

"You see I told you! I told you!" Sommer came running out of the stall, she was already crying. Death, it happen to quick, it happen to fast. It was meant to be a trick, something innocent, something fun. And now it ended wrong, bad, down right horrible. "Check-check if she alright, come on she can't really be death?!" Sommer couldn't control it, she couldn't handle it. Blake had done it but everyone here alive was at fault. how could this have gone wrong, merlin how could've this happen?!

She fell into sobs, her knees sunk to the floor, the blood stain her clothes. Blake suggested we didn't tell anyone, like Myrthile wouldn't tell on us, like this will be kept a secret. She look at him crazed, yet tears sting her eyes and her face was grimace with disgust. I didn't even know her well enough. She didn't deserve to die, poor Mel. For the first time in life she regretted the decision she made in this event that happen. She regretted acting on impulse, she regretted being alive!

Francesca looked up at the two as they joined her, and she pressed into Blake, who had his arm around her. "We should make a pact. Right now." She said, nodding, her tears blackened by her makeup. "Put your hands in." She stated, putting her left hand over Melanie's body. "We make this pact under the promise that we must never confide in anyone about this situation. Even if one is suspecting, we must deny all of it, and never give the other up." She stated, her voice shaking.

This isn't going to look good.

She thought quickly, her hand still out. "I've got an idea." She said, holding back more tears. "A few weeks ago, something happened in her family. I don't know what, but all this week, I've heard her muttering something about it." She admitted. "If anyone suspects, let's just say..." she began, "...lets just say she killed herself." She said, almost laughing at how stupid it sounded. "I know, it's stupid. But it's better than us being expelled. And it's not like she can actually defend herself." She said. Feeling guilty, she looked down to Melanie. "I'm so sorry." She whispered.

Brushing hair from her own face, Francesca debated on standing up. "We should take her somewhere. We can't leave her like this." She said. "Lets take her to the hospital wing." She stated, looking at the pair.

Blake shook his head, clearing his thoughts. He ignored Sommer, simply because she had voiced what had been on his mind. He held a trembling hand over Melanie's body, grasping Francesca's. A pact. A secret. It was interesting, since it seemed like something girls would do. Still, he had no reason to argue. He wanted their secret to be kept. "I won't tell," he promised. Why would he? If they went down, he would as well.

"That sounds alright," he whispered quietly. Melanie's family? Tragic, really. It would be horrible for them. Still, it gave them a good enough excuse as to why the girl was laying on the floor. They could use it. It wouldn't be too bad. "And I think it would be nice... you know. To bring her to the Hospital Wing. Even though she's dead. She would have appreciated it. Besides, isn't that something innocent people would do?" It sounded selfish. He gulped.

(Next person godmode them out? After Som of course. Som post, then Francesca godmode them out. Say that Blake picked up the body and they left for the HW?)

Sommer had no choice and could not question this any longer to herself. Like a force, she put out her hand over the girl's dead body to join in the pact. If she had her wand and to save herself from speaking she would have suggested an unbreakable vow. She just nodded automatically. "Splendid" she said sarcastically, just splendid. Enough said about that, wonder who next was on their list!

Francesca pulled away as all three made the pact. She stood up, her lower body wet from the floor. "Let's go then?" She said. Assisting Blake and Sommer, Francesca helped to pick up Melanie's body. "Guys." She said as they reached the door. "I'm so scared." She admitted. Without saying another word, the three left the bathrrom, heading for the Hospital Wing.
