Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Marcus wandered around the empty classroom, lost in thought. Usually unchecked by teachers and unnoticed by students, he finally had sometime to himself. He thought about Eme and how pissed she was him. She had every right. He definitely didn't treat her right. Though he put up a front around his friends how he didn't care he always felt guilty about it. And now that girl. Ever since they met at the ball, he kept seeing her from a distance. She tried to approach but he just ran off in a different direction. He sighed, wondering what to do.

At first he pondered where Carter was but then laughed, knowing Carter would probably care less about his problems. Especially since it was about a Ravenclaw. Everyone else was off in Potions and since Marcus wasn't exactly the sharpest of quills he wasn't taking it. He walked over to a desk and put his head down and closed his eyes.

Rana entered the Unused Classroom, slamming her hand against the door. She was mad. Not furious-mad, but mad nonetheless. Sure, she'd only thrown a book. But in Hogwarts, the list of punishments was probably long. Very long. And now, she was going to face one of them. She'd decided to hide in the Unused Classroom, simply because teachers tended to ignore it. Students did, too. It would give her the time to break stuff... or to carry through with something else that could get her into more trouble.

A figure. Sitting in a desk. Shoving her anger away - mentally, of course -, she brushed a piece of hair out of her eyes. She didn't feel concerned for who ever it was, but perhaps she would have the chance to annoy someone else. Merlin knows why it normally made her feel better. It just did. She walked over, leaning against the small table and clearing her throat. Loudly. "Uhh, hello?" she greeted the person - a male, it seemed. It was hard to tell from the way he was sitting, but she could guess.

She had time. The Headmistress would probably be there much too soon, though Rana could leave by then. Hogwarts was large - she could hide, though the authority figures would most likely be able to track her down within an hour. Whatever. As long as she wasted some of their precious time, she would be satisfied. Happy, even. And the fact that there was another person to bother made it all worth while. She grinned. It seemed as though it - he- was a Hufflepuff, based on the way he was acting. Here he was, sitting alone with his head upon a desk. An easy target.

Marcus' thoughts were interrupted by the loud slamming of the door. Someone had just entered the classroom and was determined to make their presence known. He sighed as he had been perfectly content with being by himself. Then horror came to him as he wondered if it was Pandora finally cornering him into talking. She didn't seem the type but he thought maybe. He knew he had to face her eventually but he always found some excuse not to.

"If you're going to be this effing loud, go some--" he said lifting his head up. He smiled as he saw who it was. Rana. "Well look who it is. Looking lovely as ever, Rana. But why so mad? Anger never looked good on you," he said in a teasing voice. He gave a small chuckle as he was actually talking to someone he could stand. Still Potions hadn't been let out yet, had it? What had this girl gotten up to now, he wondered.

"Anger never looked good on you," the figure said, recognizing Rana before she recognized him. But after a moment, it was obvious who the voice belonged to. "Hey Marcus," she replied, scuffing the toe of her boot against the floor. She pursed her lips, wishing to feel annoyance. Instead, she was glad that her friend was there. She trusted him, as odd as that sounded. He didn't seem to care about what other people thought... a remarkable quality. But his taste in girls was rather... meh.

"So, why are you here?" she asked. Marcus didn't seem the type that would sit in an empty classroom for just any reason. Rana actually wanted to know. There was nothing running through her mind at the moment. Well, except for a scenario that kept playing itself out in her head.

Rana stabs Alexa. Alexa dies. Rana gets sent away. Rana doesn't care. Rana is pleased with herself.

That sounds about right.

"Oh you know. Avoiding Janice. There's never a moment of peace with her," Marcus said lying. As much as he wanted to talk about Pandora he wasn't in the mood. Rana could be trusted of course but still, she would probably just tell him to get over her or man up and talk to her. Both were conclusions he had thought about before but as always he was one to run away from his problems not confront them. Pandora and Janice were perfect examples.

"And what about you? Aren't you supposed to be in Potions," he said curiously while raising an eyebrow. He shuddered just thinking about that class. He was very happy not having to take that class again. He didn't care about as he knew none of that would matter once he left this place next year. He looked at her mischievously, "Have you gotten into trouble again?"

"Ahh, yes," Rana replied. She remembered Janice, though she didn't really care what was going with him along those lines. Besides, she figured that he was lying. But she didn't voice her thoughts. He could fib all he wanted. So could she. If she wanted to, of course. Most of the time, she did. For whatever reason, she didn't at the moment.

"Well," she started, debating whether or not to tell the truth. What she did wasn't really that bad at all. Which made it even worse. "I threw a book," she continued, wincing at how slight it sounded. She could have done worse. But then again, she didn't want to get expelled. That would be bad. And what would her parents say? Not that she cared too much. She hadn't even seen them for a long time. But that wouldn't stop them. They would try to make her feel bad. Apparently stuff like that disgraced their family. Whatever.

She sat on the top of the desk, swinging her legs freely. She was feeling pretty pissed off, but it could have been worse.

"A BOOK?! Marcus practically fell out of his chair.

He started laughing uncontrollably. "That. is. so. awesome," he said through his laughter. When he finally calmed down he looked at her smiling. "I knew I was right when I picked you as my best friend." He got up and paced back and forth for a bit. "I imagine someone of authority is looking for you. I wonder what your punishment will be. What will your parents say?" Now he was starting to think out loud more than actually asking Rana directly.

Finally he stood directly in front of her arms crossed and giving her his full attention, a rare occurence. "Well arlight. Give me the details. I wanna know who and why. Also what exactly was going through your head when this happened."

"Hah hah... ha... hahaw," she said sarcastically. "Yes, a book. But not one of those wimpy ones," she added after a moment.

Rana clicked her teeth together as Marcus asked... a lot of questions. It was rare, but from the way he was acting, he might have done it every day. She smiled - genuine. Who would have known? "Pull youself together," she said sternly, though the grin gave herself away. Marcus seemed excited. It was odd. Something of the sort should have provoked some argument, since her actions had been quite stupid.

"Uhm, I'm sure you don't want to know," Rana replied. She hesitated. If he asked, then maybe he did wish to know. "Well, alright," she said. "Alexa - you know her, the blood traitor - started a fight. In the middle of class. Actually, Alfie was the one who yelled at me first. I kind of wanted to, you know, kill one of them," she gave a brief chuckle. "Which isn't unlike me. Anyways, I just picked up a textbook and... threw it. Then I left. Like, really. Who wants a Professor going off on them?" She finished the explanation with a dismissive wave of her hand.

Marc listened intently as Rana told her tale. For once, he wasn't thinking about her, something he desperately needed. He nodded at the right moment and smiled when she finished. He was proud. "Good for you. It's filthy people like her that give us a bad name. Her kind need to know their place," he stated simply, "I mean really, what is this world coming to, letting those people run around? I mean it's bad enough we have to be in the same school as them." He shook his head in disappointment.

"Well I guess a professor shall be here any moment now..and you know, I really haven't done anything productive today so I feel like misbehaving. What do say, Rana, shall we wait and have the usual verbal exchange? O maybe wreck this place a bit," he said, looking around, "Leave them something to fix while you hide out for awhile longer?"

Rana laughed. Marcus was dead on. "Yeah. People like us don't want to waste our time getting rid of people like them," she said, frowning. Her face lightened immediately. "But it is fun!" she chirped, completely out of character. Rana spread her lips into a grimace that felt so forced it made herself chuckle.

His compliments made her feel good. Something she hated to admit. As if she had done well. Done great, in fact. He suggested something that would be... fun. Having fun for once? Interesting. But she would not pass up the opportunity. "The latter, please," she said. Breaking something would be more than just enjoyable. She turned to the desk beside Marcus, kicking it. It slid into the corner - the first of a pile of objects. Rana wanted to be bad.

"I doubt they'll try to track me down, anyways," she added honestly, knocking a chair over. Her actions weren't so severe that they would comb the school looking for her. And the Headmistress probably had better things to do.

(Hey... when it's over, let's say that they actually didn't mess it up too bad, and it was fixed. I don't want to get into trouble OOC. AND she's going to serve her punishment later on, as in some time between day 4 and 5.)

"Maybe," he said in response to Rana's latter comment. "I don't know thought. I mean lately with all the students dropping like flies, it seems as if their control is slipping. Might try to make an example out of you," he said deep in thought. Then he realized that wasn't what she needed to her. He smiled and laughed. "But what do I know, right? Headmistress is probably too lazy and would rather wither away in her office."

He turned around and eyed the classroom. He walked over to a glass vial and played with it a bit. He smiled and dropped it, facing Rana again. "So let's make a mess and get their attention."

Ooc: (So I'm thinking that Rana can be like I'm already in enough trouble let's not destroy a classroom. Enter teacher. Rana looks bad, Marcus stands up for her, blah blah lol=

Rana coughed, silently agreeing with Marcus. If they wanted to make an example of her, so be it. It's not like she could do anything about it. No matter how much she hated it, there was nothing she could do about the Headmistress' actions. But seriously - it was just a book. She smiled when Marcus added something about the Headmistress withering away. Rana hadn't seen her around nearly as often as she used to. Maybe their control was slipping. Even if it was slight, it was a start. They would get what was coming for them. What they rightfully deserved.

"Let's change the topic," she suggested. In other situations it would be fun, but speaking about things that might happen as a result of Rana's 'misbehavior' bothered her. She'd rather chat about things such as the mudbloods she disliked the most. Small things like that interested her... or, at least, calmed her down.

"I'd rather not," Rana paused. She wanted to. She really did. But she was already in trouble. "You know. Get into more trouble." She glanced at the small vial on the ground, smashed to pieces. Very tempting. She yawned instead, inspecting her nails. It gave her something to do.

Pandora was in a trail of confusion. Her thoughts were clouded, like a impending storm that threatened to break at every moment. So instead of having breakfast, she had simply been wandering the halls. She was wearing her favorite hoodie, and loose jeans and comfortable boots. She had the hood up, over her hair that was hiding the shadow below her eyes.

Some point in her thoughtful wandering she managed to end up in the unused classroom. It wasn't until she entered that she realized it hadn't been as empty as she thought it would be. "Umm...I'm sorry? I'm....distracting something?" Pandora managed in what probably sounded like the most stupid comment in the history of the universe. Not only did she look like a racoon, but She couldn't stop staring at Marcus. Who was this girl? Why did it matter anyway? She looked like she could probably eat Pandora in one bite.

"I'll just...just go..." Pandora spoke as she pointed toward the door, but her traitorous feet made no effort to move. Stupid, stupid deer in headlights instincts.

Marcus didn't let Rana's rejection stop him. He knew that she just needed a little more convincing. He dropped some more items on the ground and smiled at her. "Are you sure? It's quite fun. I can already feel the my stress decreasing," he teased. Like he mentioned before, his day had been pretty unproductive and now he just wanted some fun, or at least something to do. He got distracted when he heard the door open and a small voice spoke and he knew immediately who it belonged to.

He turned around saw Pandora standing there, beautiful as always. His thought or in person, he could never escape her though he never truly wanted to. He just knew he couldn't be around her without completely falling for her and he knew she would never go for a guy like him. Right now as a good example as he was breaking things for no good reason.

After a few moments he realized he probably should say something, she was looking right at him. "Pandora...what...I...you," he said nervously. "How've you been?"

Rana picked up a vial, passing it between her hands. "I don't know," she laughed. It was rather tempting. She turned at the sound of a voice, dangling the vial with her index finger and thumb. "Oh, hello," she greeted the intruder, her eyes narrowed in the gloom. It was a girl, obviously. Marcus seemed to know her. "And who are you?" she asked, lifting an eyebrow. Rana didn't recognize her.

She sighed, taking a small step towards the door. The girl looked like a wimp. Whatever. Rana smiled at her when she stammered. "No, you weren't interrupting anything," she reassured her. She could try to be nice. But it would be easier if she knew who the girl was. Hufflepuff? Probably not. Slytherin? Definite no. That left only Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.

But since Gryffindor is known for their courage... Then again, any Ravenclaw was better than either Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. Aaah, the pure joy that came with stereotypes. She would still make an attempt to be nice. Especially if it was Marcus' friend.

(Crap post. I would have done better if my mom didn't kick me off.)

Pandora blinked awkwardly. She had clearly interrupted whatever it was the pair had been doing. Judging by the state of the room, Panda could only debate it was some sort of fight, or a rutal. Either of which she definitely didn't want to be apart of. And then Marcus asked how she was, and Pandora half contemplating making a run for it. But no, she had to be um...brave. Yes, that was the word.

"I'm alright." Pandora responded nervously as she clenched her hands together and rocked back on her feet. At least she was no longer a frozen statue. Her gaze slid to the girl. The girl's lifted eyebrow freaked Pandora out. Mostly because Lucas use to do that constantly just to freak her out. it reminded her of a giant hairy spider's leg. "I'm Pandora...Summerdale, I'm in Ravenclaw." Pandora explained as though this should make a difference to the awkwardness of the situation.

"I really, really suck at this." Pandora muttered to herself more than anything as she gazed at the floor, hoping if she slowly backed toward the door, it would seem as though she never existed. Well, one could dream either way.

Marcus stared for awhile before he he realized no one had said anything for awhile. Awkward, he thought. "Uh, Rana this Pandora. Pandora, this is Rana. Rana is one of my good friends," he stated. Then he wondered, well if Rana was a good friend what did that make Pandora? There really was no title for what they were. He saved her and now she was everywhere and he couldn't stop looking and here she was and...He stopped himself.

He was running out of ideas and he Pandora well enough that she was going to find any reason to head through that door as soon as she could. It almost didn't matter because whatever he wanted to say he couldn't in front of Rana. "Uh, Rana, tell her about yourself..or something," he mumbled, trying to keep the conversation going. How do you always end up in these situations, he thought. Sometimes he thought it'd be better if he never left his room.

Rana ground her teeth together. It was all she could do to keep from laughing. Of course. Success. Bingo. Ding ding, and Merlin knows what else. She stuck a hand out awkwardly, taking a step closer to the girl. "Rana. Rana Rosanne," she stated, ignoring Marcus' introduction. If Marcus was the girl's friend, she would make a point to be polite. To be nice.

Nice. Ew.

"So do I," Rana said, rolling her eyes. She really, really did. Talking to people was not something she was good at. Actually, she was quite horrible. "And yes, I am his friend," she said, jerking a thumb at the Slytherin boy. They had all gone quiet. Quiet was boring.

They're boring.

Her conversation had gone on for awhile. She checked her wrist watch. "Ahh, I see it's time for lunch." She said. Rana pulled her lower lip in so she could bite it without the others seeing. "Would you like to come with me?" She asked, directing the invitation at Marcus, mostly. But Pandora was welcome as well, no matter how much it pained her to include the Ravenclaw.

What was Pandora to Marcus, anyways? Relationship-wise? Rana would bug him about it later. Her stomach growled, and she winced. "Come on, come on," she muttered under her breath, just loud enough so the others could probably hear. She beckoned the others with a wave of her hand before exiting the Unused Classroom.
