Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Dragging Ray out alongside him, Joey walked onto the grounds with a cheeky grin on his lips. It wasn’t too cold nor too warm to be honest, it was cold enough for a scarf but not a hat and gloves to match. Pulling Ray out, Joey jogged over to where a massive tree say proud and happy blowing in the light breeze. Turning around dramatically, Joey fall to the floor sitting in a pile of leaves from autumn that had not been cleaned up. “Ray! You skipped! Yay!” Joey yelled laughing, he began to think of the countless kisses he had under this tree with girls.

That brought him onto his next topic. “So Ray, we need some good girl talk! Care to start?” Joey was always the one to bring up girls; he would usually throw out the first name. So this time, he let Ray pick. Maybe he would bring up girls Joey didn’t even consider as hot, not hot, icy in a good way and icy in a bad way.

Ray was dragged onto the grounds. Not that he particularly minded. Potions wasn't really his scene. He enjoyed the class, but not the occupants. Sure, there were some pretty cool guys. But there were also a ton of Slytherins. Slytherins just had something up their grill most of the time. Ok, all the time. I mean, didn't matter how friendly you tried to be, they wouldn't want anything to do with you. Which was cool, unless thye came up to you looking for a fight. Ray found it easier not to deal with the drama. Plus, he had been in a dreary spell lately. Potions would do nothing to lighten the mood. Yea, yea? He smirked slightly at Joe. "Didn't have much choice in the matter, you ambushed me." He collapsed under the tree, has gaze raised up, studying the pattern of the leaves, and squinting when the sun got in his eyes.

It certainly was less dreary when the weather got nicer, though he had brough his scarf and a jacket just in case. He was trying very hard not to look, with some longing, at the steps leading up to the castle. Yea, he was having a difficult time gettiing that occurence off his mind. He hadn't worked up the courage to talk... again. But things had smoothed over fairly decently, considering. Ray glanced over at Joey, slightly amused. Serisouly, all the guy ever thought about. Sometimes it was amazing Joey got by at all. Though Ray wouldn't change his friend for the world. Too hilarious. "Start?" Ray sighed. It would have been easier to brush the question off with phony tak about makeup and such, you know, the stuff he assumed girls talked about. He couldn't think about a single girl, other then the one he was trying not to think about. "I'll give you a house and you can start." Ray offered, more jovially.

"Good 'ol Gryffindor. First girl that comes to mind? Other than Ginny, please god." Ray stated, nudging his friend with a laugh. Joey had had the hots for that girls since before Ray could remember. Failure after failure to get her out on an actual date. Ginny was a pretty cool chick, he had to admit. But that's all he could really see her as. Joey would probably die if Ray ever got with Ginny and he didn't. It was like a code, one he had sort of broken with Francis... He wouldn't do it again, ever. Though the incident with Francis was a little different. Ray turned his mind to the girls in Gryffindor. Immediately, the two that stuck out the most were Piper and Hanna. He couldn't help a grin at that thought. Hanna had broken up with Silas...

Joey laughed happily as he heard Ray begin to say about how he didn’t have a choice, which he did not. He snickered at the thought of himself jumping out onto Ray’s back, kicking the side of his legs in an attempt to make him run. Joey began to wonder if that would have been more amusing then the tactic he did use which was grab Ray’s arm and pull him along without letting go. The wind suddenly decided to become powerful and pushed Joey slightly to the side; he knew this would be time to put on his gloves and a hat. Pulling his sat on; he looked over to Ray as he suggested they start with a house rather than girls names. Grinning, Joey nodded beginning to wonder what house Ray would pick.

Luckily for Joey, he was pure-blooded meaning if there were any other proud purebloods he wouldn’t have his blood type working against him as others would. And given his parents power in the magical world, some Slytherin’s may want to use him to get themselves higher in the ladder of society. He didn’t care if he was being used, as long as he got some good kisses he would be a happy boy. Well, recently he was beginning to wonder if he should try a real relationship. Shaking his head of all these thoughts, he turned to Ray grinning as Gryffindor was said as the first house. Laughing at the comment, Joey began to love that fact Ray was his super best friend and knew practically everything about him. “Ray dude, you know tons about me. You need to come over and meet my Slytherin type parents and icy sisters” He said hissing a little before letting a laugh escape his throat, warm air pushed into the cold.

“Anya, she is smokin. Piper ruined that for me though” He said huffing a little with a small pout to go along side. “I need to speak to her. What about you Ray, who was the first to your mind?” Joey grinned knowing who probably went to Ray’s mind first. Hanna Percy. That boy sure had a boner for that girl, and her boyfriend had just split up with her. Poor thing, after that attack when she saved his life she finally got out of the hospital wing. And then she got dumped! Surely he had more heart than that. Shrugging to himself, Joey looked back up to Ray beginning to wonder if he would say Hanna, or another Gryffindor.

Ray couldn't help a laugh at that though. "I'm sure I'd get along great with your family." He couldn't help a small snicker at that thought. Sure, he was easy going enough, he could get along with anyone. But they probably wouldn't approve of him. Yea? "Might be fun though, we might even be able to lighten them up a lil'." Ray offered, with a renewed grin at Joey. How had his friend turned out so well? With that in mind, how had he turned out so well? "Least your family isn't as messed up as mine is." He added, shaking his head whilst grinning. I mean, didn't get much worse then your mother calling you Sunshine. Something he was sure he would never be able to live down. (want to say Joey's met Ray's mother?) Yup, thanks mom. Couldn't even drop the name when the rare person came to visit. Though visits weren't generally long; mostly just one night before he travelled to his fathers house; which was more accomodating to normal people who weren't used to sleeping on dirt floors. Well, not actualy dirt, but it might as well be. If he didn't have someone with him/visiting he'd probably stay longer...

"Riiight, the kiss." Ray remembered, trying not to laugh at the poor guy. Luckiest bastard in the world. What sort of guy gets approached and kissed by a girl while dancing with another? "I wouldn't worry about it too much, girls love competition." He stated, simply. In fact, it seemed to make them go crazy over said guy. "Chances are, if you do go talk to her, you'll be doing more then talking." The laughter that followed that joke was easy enough... he had forgotten about Anya, though she was a little too high maintenance for Ray, she was still gorgeous. He raised an eyebrow at Joey, who already knew the answer to that question. Ray tried, instead to think of someone else he could say besides Hanna... Though the only other person he could think of was Ana and they were pals. "Hanna Percy, she's pretty fly. Easy going. Awesome. You've heard this before." A grin at the thought. This was certainly a good way to think about other things. Joey was great for that. "Luce is pretty cute." He added, as an afterthought. Nodding for a moment before shaking himself back into reality.

"Though I could probably list a few more, and that's only in our grade..." So true, there seemed to be an abundance of hot girls in Gryffindor. Actually, in their grade. Which was lucky for them. Worked out spiffingly, even. Ravenclaw girls were cute, but most of the time they weren't at the same level as Gryffindors, or Slytherins. Too booky and focused. Plus their intelligence could be intimidating, to an extent. They seemed to be analyzing you at all times, it totally threw him off. No, Gryffindor or Hufflepuff were probably the best houses for him to find girls. Bubbly and exciting, easygoing and fun... Though definitely not stupid or under rated. "What's the deal with Ravenclaw girls? I meam, some of them are hot, don't get me wrong... It's just... uncanny talking to them. Like they're trying to decipher my brain." The last bit was more sarcastic, he had even emphasized the sentence with some unintentional hand movement, like he was holding something to be studied.

Joey grinned wide jumping up on the spot making sure his bottom didn’t touch anything wet. “You would, they would judge you though” He knew what his parents would ask, what house was this boy in, does he have manors and of course if he pure-blooded. Joey then laughed at Ray, Joey had himself been trying to cheer his parents and siblings up since the day he was born and it didn’t work. He was just the odd one out, the fun one in his family. But it was an awesome thing that Ray was willing to try this, Joey couldn’t believe how much of an amazing friend Ray was. Then he mentioned about his family, shaking his head Joey began to wonder what Ray’s family was really like. Would they call him embarrassing names? Joey hoped so, maybe he could meet them and give Ray that nickname full time.

From family talk to kisses and girls, this was becoming an interesting free period. Joey shook his hands to Ray, raising an eyebrow as he did so. “What you are forgetting is Anya is not like the normal girly girl” He reminded Ray, beginning to think of how he had not seen the girl so far today, maybe he could schedule a date at lunch or something. Joey couldn’t help but laugh a little as Ray started to talk about Hanna again; maybe he was beginning to like that girl. “You have total full dibs on Hanna then, you should ask her out. Heard her and Silas split like a... well something that splits” Joey continued, he wasn’t the best at comparing situations to real life things that happened. This just made him seem stupid. Not that he wasn’t stupid he just... Wasn’t smart. Then he mentioned another girl, Luce. “Luce is pretty rad, a flirt buddy” Joey commented with a smirk. He then began to nod thinking about the houses himself.

Lots of girls from Gryffindor were hot, which was very good. But then girls from Slytherin were those bad girls you want to get with, exciting, not clingy at all. Ravenclaws were smart, so you couldn’t mess around with other girls then because they’d find out straight away. Hufflepuff’s were sweet, but they could be a bitch. But Ray’s next point did make Joey laugh a little. “Hey in fifth year most of my girlfriends were Ravenclaws, some are pretty laid back” Joey said nodding slightly as he spoke. “What about the Hufflepuff’s? Of course you will be thinking of Winnie but exclude her for a moment” Joey began to think about the Hufflepuff’s, some were alright and some were smokin hot. Piper had a best friend in Hufflepuff, now what was her name...

He took a few moments to consider his family, it hadn't been till he'd really started making friends and seeing their families that he'd noticed the oddities within his own. Sure, a lot of families had seperated parents, but generally the seperation was due to dislike of their partner, not of the city they were forced to live in. Ray's mother had left his father so she could be closer to the Earth and not feel so crowded. When the two did see each other they acted like the most in-love parents in the world. It was like an extremely, extremely open relationship. It was weird thinking of things being any other way. "We could make up an incredibly elaborate lie about my blood status and mannerisms." He suggested, grinning broadly.

"There are types of girly girls? I'm in over my head." Ray stated, with a grin. He didn't know that much about Anya, but he hadn't met a girl not up to beating down competiton. Well, every once in a while you got a shy girl, but Anya didn't strike him as the shy type. She seemed more like a missilie the homed in on what it wanted. Just a personal opinion. "My point still stands. Girls want what they can't have, it's like reverse psychology for gettin' some." He continued the joke simply, though figured the topic was a little too touchy to get a smile. Of course Joey knew how he felt about Hanna, he also knew that the chances of Ray pursuing anything, at all, were extremely slim. "She's always been more my type." He agreed, with a laugh. "But approaching a girl in the break up phase is uncool." Ray reasoned, trying to think up a logical reason for not asking the girl out.

"Ravenclaw phase, huh?" Just the though made his chuckle lightly. "Just got to steer clear of them come final exams, nothingly take the fun out of a relationship like stress." This was said in a rather reasonable tone, things got pretty intense during exam time. All study, no fun. No fun could get kind of boring. Though dating a girl who liked studying around exams was certainly a good influence. Hufflepuff girls. Man, it's so hard to chose one out of the swarm of cuteness." Jokes and laughted was coming easier now, he sort of let his mind skip over the mentioning of Winnie and went stright to; "I'd have to say Ivy Ellwood. There's something about her that sets her apart from the other 'puffs." Yup, definitely something. Mostly her spunky attitude, but she was pretty gorgeous.
