| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Walking along the fifth floor corridor, Ivy held tightly onto her bag walking as if she were on a catwalk. She would usually do this when she was alone walking through the corridors with no one around to give her looks. Running a hand through her newly washed hair she kept her mouth in just a straight line, only a straight line. No smile, smirk nor grin. It was usual for her to walk along with no expression; she wasn’t the sort of girl to wear her heart, or emotions, on her sleeve. Glancing to the left and then to the right, she began to wonder why she was forced to wear this horrible uniform. She really did hate it. Her favourite days were those days you could walk around with your normal clothes on, and then she could show off her fashion. Which reminded her of a very good friend, where was that girl? Checking her hair in a near window, she finally flashed a smile. Turning back to where she was headed, she slowed her pace. Maybe she could use this time of aimless walking to think about which friends she would like to talk to. Or maybe just find a friend to talk to. |

Rodrigo entered the Fifth Floor Corridor, the entrance to the Prefects' Bathroom closing behind him. He always loved this day of the week, because his first lesson wasn't until second period - which meant that not Rodrigo got a lie in and had time to take a long bath in the Prefects' bathroom. So as Rodrigo entered the corridors, he was feeling fresh and was in an excellent mood. He spotted a figure walking in his direction and waved at the girl whom he recognised as his good friend. "Ivy!" Rodrigo called out. The Hufflepuff had returned to the school a few days previous, so Rodrigo was conscious to check on how she was getting on. They'd already spoken about what had happened and Rodrigo sympathised greatly for the girl's situation. It must be a horrible thing to lose some of one's family. Horrible. "How are you doing this morning?" Rodrigo asked as he walked towards her. "Are you free now, too?" |

Her head snapped up as she looked over seeing Rodrigo stood there, he must have exited the prefect’s bathroom or something. Or maybe patrolling the corridors? He was the sort to do that during a free period, being a mighty prefect and all. Letting a tiny smile fall onto her lips, she watched him walking a little closer as he began to walk over. Nodding a little at his question, Ivy pushed her hands into her robe’s pockets gripping her hips through the fabric. “Reasonable” She said with a small shrug. “You?” It was only polite to ask how he was in return. “Yes, free periods can be... lazy” She said, putting her weight onto her left foot making her slightly smaller than usual. A slouched position, one she usually took while standing. Glancing back to the window, she began to wonder how her brother was getting on. That boy, probably in a class trying to outsmart his peers. And of course, not succeeding. Turning back to Rodrigo, her mouth turned into its usual line. “History of Magic is next, correct me if I'm wrong.” |

Rodrigo nodded slowly as Ivy said that she was 'reasonable'. Personally, he didn't think that 'reasonable' was a particularly cheerful response - but then again, Rodrigo was always so cheerful, being only reasonable sounded foreign to him. Although, considering Ivy's circumstances, it was hardly surprising that she wasn't about to go skipping down the corridors with a big grin on her face. "I'm good, thank you," Rodrigo replied, then nodded in agreement at her next statement. Free periods were often lazy. Although Rodrigo did spend most of them either studying, on his prefect duties, or with his friends. Not many were spent alone doing nothing. Rodrigo didn't particularly favour sitting around being lazy. "Yep, History of Magic is next. You're taking that, right?" Rod asked. "Well, anyway, I am, so if you are, we could head down together? But first we should catch up!" Rodrigo commented absentmindedly, a definite eagerness spilling into his tone at his last sentence. "Have you been settling in well?" |

Ivy’s eyes snapped over to where Rod was, hearing how he was good. Then again it was what most people said, never a good response which can engage convocation. She couldn’t blame him though; it was what people usually said taking the ‘easy’ option. But on the other hand Rodrigo was always so god damn cheerful, was he never disappointed or in a negative mood? Whenever she was in a negative mood she would sit along and write down all her anger and hate onto a notepad in words, then rip it up and throw it in the bin to get her anger out. Now she had a diary thing, she could always use that. Or she would walk the corridors alone. She would do that whatever mood she was in, but if her mood was somehow more uplifting she would try to find friends. Next was History of Magic, not a favourite. She didn’t particularly want to go to such a class; it wouldn’t be interesting in the slightest. Looking up at him, she nodded a short precise nod. “Alright, we do need to catch up” She commented, he was so enthusiastic how could she turn him down? Then again, she could always get him back for his hyper attitude by asking about his Slytherin crush. “Yes thank you, I have been asking many questions about why the ceiling was well... Broken” No one had told her about why it was broken, she noticed Noah was not here, where was he? Someone needed to tell her about this. She then smirked, now it was time to make Rodrigo a little awkward. “What about you? Have you asked your Slytherin crush out yet?” Most of Hufflepuff knew of his affections to the girl, it wasn’t too obvious at first but then once you saw the present he got her last Christmas everyone knew. Almost instantly. She began to hope they would get together, they would probably get married and all. |

Ivy had been asking questions about the broken ceiling, which meant that she wasn't fully aware of what had happened at Halloween. The attack, the fiendfyre, the deaths. It was an uncomfortable subject to many around the school - especially those in Hufflepuff house, who had lost more than one student that night. Rodrigo turned his head to the left and right, checking that no-one was in earshot before he spoke. "Now isn't the time nor the place to discuss it, but if you want to know - which I think you should, then come find me later." Rodrigo said solemnly. Someone had to tell her and it was better that she heard it from him than from someone else. It was his job as Prefect to make sure that everyone in Hufflepuff was okay, and that the students who had been absent were kept informed of what had happened. It was only fair that Ivy wasn't kept in the dark. "What about you? Have you asked your Slytherin crush out yet?" Rodrigo blushed, waving his arms around and making loud 'shh' noises. "No! No! Ivy! Of course I haven't!" Rodrigo said, his embarrassment showing on his face. Yes, he liked Jess and Ivy knew that - but Rodrigo didn't want the whole school knowing. Ivy had said that far too loudly for his liking. What if someone had overheard?! |

Why was he being so secretive? Why couldn’t he just tell her now? Nodding slowly, Ivy couldn’t push away the questions in her mind about why Rodrigo was being secretive and why was the damage so bad. Watching him for a moment, Ivy let out a long sigh. “Okay then, I’ll hold you to that” She said in a definite tone, she was going to ask him about this later. Even if she had to skip classes, then again, she wasn’t the one to care about going to class and learning new information if the class did not interest her. Ivy couldn’t help but laugh just a little at Rodrigo as he waved his arms around in a panicked fashion, making ‘shh’ noises obviously not wanting her to say anything else. When he declared that he had not, Ivy rose her left eyebrow and smirked. “Well you should” She commented running the end of the long nail on her index finger along her chin, wondering why he was so flustered about all this. “She’ll end up with a Gryffindor. I heard Winnie’s brother is going to ask her out you know” She commented again folding her arms and letting her weight rest on the back of her left foot. People began to flood the corridors; History of Magic would be next. But whether to go she was still deciding. |

Rodrigo knew as soon as Ivy spoke that she'd definitely come to find him later. The look upon her face and the definiteness of her tone suggested that she wanted answers. Rodrigo wouldn't deny her them - he'd tell her everything, just not at that moment. "I don't know," Rodrigo shrugged, "I just feel like it's not the right time to tell Jess." Rodrigo didn't want to ruin the friendship that Jess and he had. By making his feelings known, then... he ran the risk of destroying everything they'd had since first year. He'd already lost June as a best friend and he didn't want to lose Jess too. "It's Jess' decision." Rodrigo said firmly, knowing that he wouldn't force Jess into a relationship with him. While he didn't particularly like the idea of his best friend going out with someone else, there was nothing Rodrigo could do - especially because he didn't want to ask her out himself. Not yet. Glancing at his silver watch, Rodrigo noticed the time. "We should start heading down to History of Magic," Rodrigo commented, "walk with me?" |

Ivy was stubborn, curious, and most of all inquisitive. She wanted to know what happened, how it happened, and how people felt about this within the school so she could make a judgement on it all. But for now, she would have to listen and chat to Rodrigo about his own love life. Ivy rose an eyebrow shaking her head a little, she stepped to Rodrigo’s side and looked up to him. “When will the right time be? When you graduate?” She questioned, putting a hand on her hip and giving him a stern look. It was this girls decision, but wasn’t it also common knowledge that this girl liked him before? Well he picked a bad time to start liking her, just when she got over him. Or maybe it was just Ivy and her gossiping ways that brought her to that conclusion. “I guess so, well good luck on it all. At least you have a love life” She muttered the last sentence, looking forward and beginning to walk along wide Rodrigo, a little bounce in her step. “Let’s go then” She said walking along, time had passed and hopefully they weren’t going to be late to class. (You could godmod them out if you want )
