Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Sixth Year

Was it possible for Carter Breslin to plunged into a pool of perplexity with one single gesture? To be more uncertain about his feelings with one simple kiss? Or was it a devious ploy created by Miss Rhodes to get back for all the frustration and aggravation he had caused her? Well if it was, it was working... sort of. Falling, falling, falling, falling into a pit of buried and secreted emotions that attempted to drown him with waves of feeling. What was happening to him? Emotions and feelings didn't reach him. Pity, empathy and mercy didn't touch him. So why was, whatever it was stabbing itself mercilessly into his heart? He was suppose to be emotionless. So distant that even baneful cries of a pitiful child would not move him. This was too foreign. Too foreign.

He hadn't even noticed that he was mulling in the Fourth Floor Corridors, it seemed like he had forgotten that he was looking for his best friend and involuntarily turned his search into a session of contemplation. Carter needed Leighton. She was the only one who could understand. She was the only one he could open up to. Leighton Fairchild was the best friend. Perhaps maybe she could enlighten him on what he was feeling-- because it sucks not knowing. Growling to himself, Carter paced down the hall, every step seemed like he was attempting to flatten the fibres in the carpet.

"Hatred. Hmm... I've never been that angry sssince the time that I attacked my massster."

People talking about him. Nothing new about that.

"Oh do sssshut up Vladimir. And couldn't you be sssso human? For Ssssalazar's sssake, act like a sssnake for once."

What in Merlin's pants...?

"I wasss jussst sssaying that I haven't ssseen ssomeone ssso angry."

"...oh hardy har har. Cue the cackle of mischievous laughter. Please, continue, I'm in the mood to murder tonight." Carter glanced around the hallway, his eyes burning with disgust for the stupid commoners that would endeavour such foolery. Oh ho and when he found them-- there would be much more than the smell of blood in the air this evening.

"Human affairssss ssshould not matter to you. After all, we are jusssst made of paint."

They continued. Like nothing had happened.

"We have a consssscience either way and plus-- wait! He heard us!"

Of course he could hear them. He wasn't bloody deaf.

"What?! You mean him?"

In the corner of his eyes, he could see a small emerald head bobbing around in a painting. A faint hiss, which sounded like a groan, escaped it's mouth. And so did it's forked tongue. Carter turned around slowly, glaring at the snake in the painting with curiosity. Did he just hear, what he just heard? His mouth fell open as the snake noticed his presence edging closer. Startled, it flinched back and glanced at the other snake opposite it.

"Arbela! What do I do?! It'sssss looking at me!"

What the fuck? What in the Salazar's fuck just happened? The snake slithered quickly underneath the armchair it was wrapped around, not at the least startling the sleeping gentleman on it. Carter staggered backwards, breathing faster and faster. No. That did not just happened. He was seeing things. Rhodes was making him see this. He didn't know how. Carter just needed someone to blame it all on. Flabbergasted, the Slytherin got up and bolted down the stairs to the Slytherin Common Room-- hoping that running away would fix everything that had just happened.
