| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Juliet came to a halt as she staggered into the unused classroom, trying to avoid tripping over her dress and stupid fancy shoes. As if to punish them, Juliet supported one of her palms on a desk and reached down with her other, tossing them off so they hit the closest wall with a satisfying 'bang' sound. Then guilt took over, making her turn away to face her desk, leaning over it and holding back her emotion as her hair fell over her face. That was why she should have made it into a neater and far more attainable style. After that angsty moment was over, Juliet swung around onto the desk sitting down and glancing at the board. She really should have just stayed in bed. Yes. That would have been much, much easier. |

Outside the classroom, he pushed away the door to have a little peek inside. It was Juliet, looking as torn and tormented as ever. He almost felt for the girl. Of course, he couldn't actually feel anything. He was Carter Breslin, cold hearted and ruthless. After she seemed to calm down, Carter watched her relax a bit and took a deep breath. Cautiously, Carter walked into the unused classroom, having followed Juliet all the way to the recluse area. Nothing could explain what came over him, it wasn't like Carter to care. At all. Especially when it came to his prey like Juliet. Perhaps maybe he wanted to fool with her mind again, to verbally jab at her until she breaks into unfixable pieces. It seemed like the right reason. He thought he wasn't capable of something less than wicked. "Rhodes...?" Carter spoke out suddenly. No, he wasn't suppose to speak. He was suppose to be frightening the poor girl. |

Juliet glanced up at Carter's arrival her expression unreadable. She really didn't know what to say. Somehow, in just one smile, she had unraveled any built up resentment toward Carter Breslin. Again, this was the guy who was rumored to have killed one of her closest friends. The truth was though, Carter seemed to be the only person who didn't act different around her since Halloween. Everyone else tiptoed and whispered, and then acted idiotic in the sense of trying to make things seem normal. Carter just went on his usual way. Despite the sickness that poisoned her for feeling anything toward the snake, she had to give him a tad bit fo appreciation for that alone. "My name is Juliet." Juliet managed after a moment. Rhodes, it just reminded her of Noah now. Both her mothers maiden name of Black and her father's last name were tainted. Great, she just had to make up some random lameass name or get hitched straight out of hogwarts if she wanted to avoid that freaking dilemma. "...Why are you here Carter?" Juliet asked, using his first name for the very first time. For reasons she really just couldn't explain. |

Carter pressed his lips together in a thin line, his features softened and his hands found their way towards his pockets. A smile. A simple smile was all it took to turn the venomous Breslin into a tame toy snake. He looked at her, with simple curiosity from his tilted head and impassive eyes. Everything he taught himself to do when in the presence of Juliet had been thrown out the window, for once in his life, he was rendered speechless like every single emotion he had hidden underneath the carpet were now stopping him from releasing him. What is happening to me? He stook a step forward. Gulping the air as if it was the last time he could do so. "I'm came here for you Juliet." Why did he always have to be so f*cking honest? |

Juliet glanced at Carter as she bit her lip. "Merlin, we really love punishing ourselves. Might as well pull up a desk and join the pity fest." Juliet commented in a very dryly humorous tone. There really wasn't going to be much resistance. It sucked. They fought and fought, but never really actually wounded each other. It was like they dared the other in a continous dance. Juliet wondered what would happen if this was one of the books her brother was writing. Probably Juliet would offer Carter a beer and it would somehow end with Carter saving her from a near death experience. Yeah, like that's going to happen. "....Did he suffer?" Juliet found herself suddenly asking. She knew Carter knew who she meant. It was a question she wanted answered, even if she knew the answer wasn't what she wanted to hear. |

"Punish ourselves?" Carter rose an eyebrow, letting the wave of curiosity wash him away from everything he knew. Everything he taught himself not to do at certain times and situations. Enemies are careful, perhaps maybe afraid, with their fronts and facades when around their adversaries. They need to be constantly shielding what's inside to protect one's self. It's like they've lost the entire concept of it all. Being in the room, alone and with Juliet felt like a dream. Like reality was waiting for them once they took a step out the door. They didn't have to be Rhodes and Breslin in there, just Juliet and Carter, talking like he had never attempted to make her life a hell. "Call me a masochist, but this is... " Stop. Carter closed his mouth, clenching his jaw to tell himself to not share his habit of telling the truth at this very moment. It was for both of their sakes. Carter stepped forward, leaning against the nearest solid object for support. The question sort of caught him off guard and sent him to the memory of the very night his murder happened. The memory had been replaying over and over, just before he drifted into deep sleep for the past month now. "Yes." The answer seemed simple enough, without having to reveal any gruesome details he'd probably unravel involuntarily. "But not by my wand." The confession felt uplifting, like the weight on his chest had disappeared without a trace. It just felt weird, saying it to Juliet Rhodes. |

Juliet didn't show any reaction to Carter admitting that he hadn't killed Paton. She only continued glancing at the spot on the floor, letting out a small and unintented breath. She glanced up at Carter, a wave of pity falling over her. No matter how cruel someone was, it didn't mean they deserved to watch someone die. She may dislike Carter but she wasn't a completely heartless person either. She knew how much she had suffered just thinking of Paton and Noah's possible methods of suffering, let alone actually witnessing them. "I...." Juliet paused, falling into silence as she had nothing to say. "I'm sorry." Juliet managed, before frowning internally. She shouldn't apologize to Carter, even if she felt bad for him. Geeze, he was a Slytherin! |

"People really shouldn't apologise for no reason," Carter shrugged blandly, taking a deep breath of the intense air that filled up the room like disease. The things that were happening... it confused him. A lot. This was a sin. His mind rushed through thoughts, sometimes grasping onto one he considered was possible, but letting it slip away, like an undersized fish. Why was she being so nice? Why was he being so nice? Carter cleared his throat uncertainly, taking a seat on the desk opposite Juliet's. "Are you okay?" |

Juliet coughed a laugh as she sniffled, letting out a breath as she glanced at Carter, shaking her head lightly. "Not really...but I don't think anyone at this school really is." She responded truthfully as she lent forward, swaying lightly. She glanced up at Carter, tilting her glanced somewhat as she tried to sit back upright. "Why are you being so nice to me?" Juliet asked pointedly, hoping that this wouldn't turn into some blackmail ritual for his sick little games. |

Why was he being so nice to the very person he had been torturing from even before he stepped forth on Hogwarts soil? It all started out with Leighton's little ply with her, suggesting that Carter should attack her with full force and no mercy. Which he did. And got rejected. Perhaps there was the reason he kept going, he wanted- he craved to crush the soul he failed to destroy that night at the party. Carter clenched his jaws forcefully, looking out and around the classroom. Momentarily forgetting she was there and attempting to forget her unavoidable question. He didn't know. That's what he had been trying to find out ever since he carelessly threw words of support towards her way in the Great Hall. "I- I don't know..." Carter replied, turning back to look into the eyes of the Gryffindor," Emotions are hard to control." |

Juliet glanced at Carter her mind reminding her of the night they met. Back when Paton had been alive. It had seem like such a wonderously dramatic occasion. She hadn't quite known what horrors were to come. Back then the worst thing was John leaving Hogwarts. What emotions were hard to control? The answer raised more questions for Juliet. Was it possible that Carter felt something for her? Juliet had only just realized he had feelings at all, before she had pondered whether he was some android Leighton Fairchild had created to do her dirty work. It was somehow in this train of thought Juliet found herself edging closer to Carter, her eyes flickering to his. Her mind was screaming to her to leave, back away before she did something she would regret. But her emotions craved to feel something, sanity seemed to drown in the ocean of her grief as she smashed her lips against Carter's, her arms wrapping around him as though he was the only thing that kept her clinging to earth. All sanity was gone, she just wanted to feel, feel something more than grief, anger and loss. Regret didn't matter. She felt drunk on it all. |

John opened the door to the unused classroom Juliet hid out here a lot when she was angry with John, it was one of her hiding spots around Hogwarts. "Jules, you in here?" John called out nervously. He entered into the classroom and what met him wasn't what he expected. Sitting on one of the tables, Juliet and Carter were... kissing. "What the F%$^!" John exclaimed. "WHAT THE F%$#" John repeated, the image fully ingrained in his head. "Really, him. You go around with the guy that is known around the school as being responsible for one of the murders on Halloween, I thought you actually gave a shit about Paton, or even Noah. Turns out you don't. Instead you are in here snogging someone who was probably responsible for their DEATHS" John said, he didn't really care, but he felt betrayed by Juliet on some level. "I can't believe you" John said he was rooted to the spot. |

Closer... and closer. Juliet edged closer towards him, closing the space between them. Carter looked at her emotionless, his blank face not letting a single uneasy emotion to penetrate his front. That... thing, inside his chest hammered quicker and quicker, then dying when Juliet's eyes met up to his. He knew what was going to happen, he had a fair idea. Carter's head screeched that something was wrong, the logic didn't add up, it was unusual. It was scary. His whole world flipped, tumbled and did somersaults as their lips pressed against each other's. This isn't real, Carter thought to himself. But the idea faded away as he melted against the passion of the kiss. Nothing filled his mind. Only of Juliet. "You..." Carter breathed as he pulled back at the sound of John's interruption and vulgarity. Carter's hands left Juliet's wait and he straightened himself out. He ran his fingers through his hair, wondering what had just happened, not paying attention to John's scolding. Carter gazed back at Juliet with a thunderstruck expression, then looked back at the furious ex boyfriend. "Stick a clump of soap in your mouth, will you?" Carter muttered dismissively, before wandering his way out of the unused classroom, shoving John in the shoulder on his way out. |

Juliet was pushed back to reality, like a band snapping back against her wrist, putting heavy pressure on her head. She almost fell off the desk at the sudden shouts of John. How dare he insinuate that she didn't care for Paton and Noah? Anger flared in her, bubbling to the surface as her face flashed red from a combination of embarassment and anger. "You have no idea what you are talking about, JUST STAY OUT OF MY LIFE." Juliet snarled at John as she stormed out of the classroom. |

"You..." Carter said as he slid away from Juliet. John glared at him. He didn't deserve her, John did. He was the only true person to love her. John watched as Carter stood and walked towards him, John balled his fists and raised them, ready for Carter to try and hit him. However, it seemed as though he wasn't going to hit him. "Yeah that's right, slither away like the snake that you are" John muttered as Carter walked past him, before he felt Carter shoving his shoulder. John stumbled, but caught himself before he tripped over completely. John turned back to Juliet, in the hope almost, to lecture her more. However, before John had the chance to open her mouth, Juliet was already snarling at him, ready with her response. "You have no idea what you are talking about, JUST STAY OUT OF MY LIFE." Juliet yelled the last words, and they rang in the empty class room. Mocking John with every repetition and with that Juliet left the room as well, not before John reached out to grab her and keep her in the room, however, she had already left. "Dammit!" John yelled and kicked the chair next to him, sending it a few metres back before it tipped over and crashed to the ground with a dull thud. John was left alone, to deal with the pain of what he just saw, and to join it the pain that now pounded in his foot from kicking the chair. |

Jason ran as fast as he could to follow John Holland. Jason shook his head as he followed John into the Unused Classroom. Everything unfolded in front of Jason: Juliet Rhodes and Carter Breslin on their 'own business' which made Jason rise his eyebrow. Since the three kids were in their own worlds, Jason was tempted to leave. Then a heated arguement between Juliet and John arose. Then all of a sudden, Carter and Juliet left. Now was the time for Jason to talk to John. The professor neared the student. 'Mr. Holland.' Jason said formally. 'I caught you at last. You were the one who messed the Great Hall tonight.' He shook his head. 'I'm so disappointed on you. I thought you were smarter than that.' Truthfully, Aphelion talked to Jason about John. Such a smart and independent student. But now Jason doubted if he was really that smart. 'Because of what you've done, you, Misters Desmount and Tudor are going to have a detention with me when normal classes starts.' Jason explained. He hated doing this to students. His image as being the cool and nice professor was ruined. 'I'm very sorry.' 'I think you should get back to the Great Hall.' Jason said. 'Go now. Help the professors on repairing the damages in the Hall.' |

"Mr. Holland." John turned around, Busted, it was Professor Jason Mayer, the professor who almost caught the first meeting of the Brotherhood. 'I caught you at last. You were the one who messed the Great Hall tonight. The professor said, indeed John had been caught. "What? I left the Great Hall because I saw Juliet leave, I thought she was in trouble" John said, and it wasn't entirely a lie, as a matter of fact it was completely true. John doubted whether or not Mayer saw John perform the prank. 'I think you should get back to the Great Hall.' "Yes sir" John said and with that, John turned towards the door. He was furious, Juliet and Carter had made out, Juliet was now enraged at John, and now John had detention with Henry and Jack. John left the unused classroom |
