| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. General Information: Full name: Sage Elouise Cannon Nickname(s): None; Most people call her Sage. The name is already fairly short, so shortening it more is next to impossible. Pronunciation: N/A Gender: Female Birthdate: December 31st Age: 16 Year: Sixth Year. Blood: Half-Blood, though she lies and tells everyone her blood is pure. Wand: 12 1/2 inches, Brazilian Chestnut, Hag Tooth Preferred House: Slytherin Appearance: Height: 5'11 Eyes: Her eyes are an ice blue, round and doe-like. They have a frosty, dead quality to them, as if Sage is staring through you and not at you. They’ve been described as vacant on occasion, although Sage isn't lacking in brains. She has thick, long eyelashes that only enhance the childlike, innocent effect of her face. Hair: Sage has long, blonde hair that reaches her mid-back. She rarely wears it up, rather it is almost always framing her face in loose waves. Physical Description: Sage has a slender, nonathletic body due to her general distaste for any type of sports. She's a pale girl, various childhood illnesses taking a toll on her overall health and complexion. It's virtually impossible for her to get tan without a charm as her skin burns almost instantly without a protective SPF spell cast on it. Sage has become adept at using charms to enhance her skin tone, though she rarely uses them unless occasion calls. Sage considers herself highly attractive, mostly due to her arrogance, and assumes that others find her attractive as well. Whether or not they actually do is not important to her; she finds herself attractive therefore in her eyes she must be. Her face is noticeably lacking in acne scars and freckles, the result of good genes and the most expensive wizarding beauty products money can buy. She has a birthmark by her left eye in the general shape of a diamond that she detests. No amount of product or charms can get rid of it and Sage's mother is unwilling to let her daughter attempt to hex it off. When not in robes, Sage tends to wear whatever is in style; she cares less about functionality and more about what is trendy and 'in'. Even if platform sandals are impractical for a quidditch game, they're trendy. Sage will wear them. Her style tends to very season by season, however it’s almost a guarantee that, come exams, she'll resort to her 'studying uniform' of skinny jeans, baggy sweatshirts, and boots. Personality: Sage is a very unassuming girl; from her appearance she doesn't seem very intelligent, cunning, or even quite all there. Her personality, however, tells a different story. Sage is rather sadistic and aggressive; nothing makes her happier than having someone else suffer or grieve. Her aggressive nature manifests itself in arguments, as Sage can get quite physical and brutal if provoked. Manipulating people is a game to her; if she feels as though someone is vulnerable, she will go in for the kill. She's a cold, standoffish person, often retreating into her own mind if entertainment is nowhere to be found. Trust is something foreign to Sage; she is immediately suspicious of anyone who attempts to befriend her. However, once her trust is earned she proves to be a valuable, loyal ally. Other people, especially those with personalities similar to hers, can easily sway Sage. She first became involved in dark arts due to friends who talked her into them. She's rather impassive, refusing to show emotion unless a situation is very stressful or very, very entertaining for her. The few times others around her have seen true emotion from Sage is when she attacks, at which point she tends to go completely out of control. She has a strange lack of ambition; her goal isn't to take over the world or eliminate the blood traitors and muggles from the world. Rather, Sage is happy simply to destroy. Underneath all the buried memories, repressed feelings, and ruthless tendencies, there is a person. Very few people know or ever will know that side of Sage, the small part of her that feels remorse or pain at what she is doing and what she has become. Sage herself has lost contact with her personality, creating a disconnect that could turn deadly. Her arrogance is a problem; she overestimates people's opinions of herself and has been known to brag on occasion. Sage often tends to do what is convenient, rather than what is right or what is asked of her. If someone else can perform a task for her, she is quick to relent and offer them the chance. History: Nicolette VanBuren was at her peak; a pureblooded, wealthy socialite, Nicolette ran in the most desirable crowds, associated with the most powerful people, and was admired by many. One night however, she went missing on her way home from a party at her close friend Lucy's house. Months passed without any sign of Nicolette and her family had given up hope on her ever returning. Storms had become commonplace in the area near where Nicolette had gone missing, and during a particularly ruthless gale, Lucy opened the door to find a small infant, no older than two on her doorstep. The girl was holding a bouquet of flowers with a note attached. The note explained to Lucy that Nicolette had met a muggle man and run away with him rather than face her family. She continued on to say that although she was happy with the man, whom she called Wesley, she didn't want children. Her hope was that Lucy would be willing to take care of the baby girl that Wesley had fathered as if she were her own. Lucy, unable to bring herself to leave the poor child out on the street, took her in and cared for her as though she were her own child. Sage has no memory of her past and is unaware of the circumstances of her adoption; she knows only that she was adopted at a young age and is half-blood. Sage showed her first sign of magic at age six, where she made all the flowers in the house wilt simultaneously. Nicolette was the first to notice Sage's lack of emotion and was unsurprised when the girl was sorted into Slytherin. Sage feels a lot of resentment towards her birth mother, whom she's never met, although she's unwilling to tell Nicolette this. Family: Nicolette Cannon, Adoptive Mother Pet(s): An owl named Hedgely. Possessions: Broomsticks, memorabilia, special cloaks. |
