Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Nicole clicked the door of the Unused Classroom open, and closed it behind her. The oak door slammed closed, as if on a spring, making a slight bang, which made Nicole shudder. It was cold I the classroom, but she shook it off as she clicked the light on and the room lightened to the flickering gleam of a single light, rocking side to side, like a pendulum. Creepy, the girl thought as she slid into a teacher's desk chair, that creaked as her weight was put onto it.

Nikki stared at the clock above her head. It had stopped at exactly twelve o'clock. Her mind raced with uneasy thoughts about herself. She knew she was attracted to her friend, Amera. But how would the others take it? What is my mother going to think when she finds out her daughter is a.... Nicole couldn't bring herself to say it. At last, the word slipped through her lips: "Lesbian."

Nikki almost broke out in tears, after hearing the word upon her rosy lips. Never before had she felt this way. She wasn't sure what to think. What would Aatiqah, her best friend, her sidekick, think of this? Worse, what would Amera think? She would be Nicoles first...girlfriend.

Nicole put her arms to her chest and brought her suede-booted feet onto the leather seated chair. She hugged her legs, black tears falling down her face. Her makeup was running. Badly. But why should I care? she thought to herself as the light still swung softly back and forth with each flicker of the ligtbulb. Time passed, slowly. The ball would be in a few hours, but Nikki made no attempt to ready herself. She would have to go stag anyway. But that, however, was the least of her problems.

Amera banged into the classroom, wanting nothing more than to be alone. This room was usually empty. Usually. Therefore, when Amera found herself face to face with none other than Nicole Henderson, she had to hold back her gasp of surprise. Nicole was the last, or maybe just the person Amera wanted to see. There was no denying she still had feelings for the girl...and although she felt guilty about Paton's death, she couldn't help but feel she deserved some love in her life. "I'm sorry...I thought this room was empty." Amera managed to get out, thinking she should go back. Still, she couldn't help but notice Nikki's tears. That wasn't good. "Are you okay?" Maybe she should do something to help. Maybe Nicole was upset about Halloween, just like Amera had been. Goodness knows, she needed a friend at that point. Nicole would probably need one now. Besides, Amera could just hide her feelings - right?

Nicole almost fell out of the old rickety chair as the door slammed open and her worst nightmare walked in. Amera stood in the door way, looking almost as surprised as Nikki was. It's not polite to stare. Nikki told herself, and she looked down quickly. "Oh. Hi...Am-Amera." Nicole stuttered, unsure of what to say. "Are you okay?" Amera had asked. "Not really," Nicole responded. "Have you ever gotten the feeling that you want to tell someone something really, really badly, but you're afraid how they will take it?" she asked, wiping her eyes with the side of her left hand. "Well that's the exact feeling. I know I should tell this person, but I don't know if they feel the same. It's just she...." Oh snap. f*ck my life. Nicole said to herself as she realized she had said she. She hoped silently that Amera would not pick it up, but she knew the chances of that were slim to none.

Amera felt shocked as she listened to the words pouring out of Nicole's mouth. It almost seemed too good to be true, but then she reminded herself she could be taking this the wrong way. Quietly, she closed some of the distance between them and looked curiously into Nicole's eyes, just to make sure she wasn't wrong. When she saw the emotion inside of them, she felt relief...but also the same feeling that had been bugging her for two months. Did Nicole really feel the same way? It almost didn't seem possible. Amera knew she was being too hopeful, and she didn't want to scare Nikki off by being so forward. "Yes...I feel that way all the time. Including, right this moment." Amera confessed, looking intently into her friends eyes. If she could call her a friend. She wasn't sure what she and Nicole were, all she knew is she didn't want this moment to end. There was no way she could draw back now as she leaned forward ever so slightly, allowing Nikki to respond accordingly.

She couldn't resist. Nicole leaned in, as Amera did, and their lips met. She couldn't help it. They kissed for a few seconds, but then Nicole pulled back. "Oh my god. f*ck. f*ck. f*ck! This is wrong. I'm sorry, but Amera, I think I...." Nicole stood up and kissed Amera again. She couldn't help it. "I'm sorry. Forgive me." Nicole practically screamed, then she slammed herself back into her chair. She put her hands over her eyes, swearing under her breath. She still wasn't sure what to think. It felt amazing, yet so wrong, yet so right at the same time. "I think I...." she couldn't finish. Instead, she waited for Amera's response.

Amera felt happy the instant their lips connected. It felt right, it felt like what she was looking for. Most of all, it seemed like an appropriate distraction from the morning's events. She mourned the lost when their lips parted. Nikki's excuses didn't seem important anymore, and her reaction upset Amera. Without further thought, the girl bent over the Ravenclaw slowly. "Don't think, Nicole. Just feel." Her accent strangled the words a bit, and she felt embarrassed that she could be so weird a time like this. Slowly, she put a hand under Nicole's chin and pushed it up gently. In an instant, she felt her lips on the girls again - silently showing her how she felt. How she had felt the past two months - it felt great, fantastic, everything she needed and wanted since she had met the girl.

With Amera practically on top of her now, Nicole couldn't help but listen to her saying "Don't think, Nicole. Just feel." She did so, and she let her feelings do the work. It was so....relieving, now that she had come to think about it. She adjusted herself in the chair and put her fingers in Amera's hair. It was just like kissing boys, but....better. It was so strange. Nikki had had this building up inside of her for so long, she couldn't help it anymore. She let her feelings go now, and she and Amera were finally where Nikki wanted them to be...together.

Amera felt herself draw into the kiss, feeling nothing but pure happiness. This was what kissing was supposed to feel like...soft, sweet, and calm. Nothing like the few kisses she had shared with friends back home. This was raw, but it felt more real than any kiss before it. After a few minutes, Amera drew back for breath. "Wow." Was all she could manage to say, trying not to breath to hard. Nicole looked perfect, sitting there with her kiss-swollen lips and seemingly happy eyes. Before she could stop herself, Amera blurted "Do you want to attend the ball with me? I mean - I know it might be weird us being girls...but I kind of want to." Was she crazy? Would Nicole think she was crazy? Maybe this was just a one-time thing, maybe they shouldn't speak of this the rest of their lives. But that would make Amera incredibly unhappy. She deserved a night of happiness, right? Even if it was with a girl...she obviously liked them as much as liked boys. So why hide your feelings?

Nicole breathed slightly as Amera pulled back, smiling again. This was bliss. But then, Amera had asked about the ball. "Amera, do you think that would be a good idea? I mean, we're..." Nicole stopped and gave it a second thought."Amera, I'd love to. " Nicole said, looking into the girl's glistening eyes. After a second, Nicole blurted, "We should probably go and get ready then, huh?" Nicole didn't want to do, but she would rather go to the Ball in a dress than in jeans, a tank top, boots, and sweat and messed up makeup. She laughed and slid up from the chair, brushing past Amera as she did so. She gathered her things quickly and waited for the girl's answer.

Amera grinned, looking at the girl in front of her. She was a perfect mess, and Amera couldn't remember feeling happier this year. Ever since...the incident, she hadn't quite been herself. This felt like the right thing to do, and she wouldn't have it any other way. "I'll meet you in the Entrance Hall, alright?" Amera promised, leaning forward to peck the girls lips again. It was happening fast, but she couldn't resist any of it. "I'm sure you'll look lovely!" Amera called over her shoulder as she ran out of the room.

Nicole raced to follow Amera's lead, and left the unused classroom to get ready for what would be, for sure, the best night of her life.

(HAHAHA. SO SHORT :D)
