Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

The Start of Something Big; Year 6 - Day 3 - Christmas Day - Breakfast

John entered the fifth floor corridor

He was furious, his life had been ripped to shreds. Him and Zoe were over, Henry was flirting with Juliet and Jack couldn't be found.

John was severely pissed, he wanted revenge. John punched the solid wall of the corridor, and regretted it instantly. The wall was perfectly fine, but Johns want now hurt, and his knuckles began to trickle blood.

Clenching his fist, John slid down and sat against the wall.

So far it wasn't exactly a Christmas to remember. He expected tinsel, present wrappings, laughing and glorious feasting. Not to wander aimlessly around the castle in hope of finding something interesting to pop out from the blue. It's not going to so well. Jack didn't want to go into the Gryffindor Common Room either. He knew he'd be blushed furiously if he did. And the Great Hall wasn't his scene also. Jack didn't want to risk bumping into the sarcasm-on-legs Fairchild. Oh ho. Now that was something that would eternally ruin his Christmas forever and ever. But he knew he couldn't avoid the Great Hall forever. Jack wasn't going to ditch the Christmas Ball for Leighton.

It was a while before Jack realised he was pacing through to the Fifth Floor Corridors. All the while pondering about what to wear for the Ball. He was the few guys who cared a lot about his appearance. After all, neglecting so would cause some sort of damage to his desirability. He was Jack Desmount. Jack spotted John leaning against the wall, his bottom on the ground as if he was sulking. It wasn't like he was sulking. Was he? Jack saw the redness on the bumps of his knuckled and he mentally cringed. What happened?

"Hey Johnny Boy." Jack greeted with a small smile, the air was filled with angst and sadness, even he could not break through," You okay?"

John turned and saw Jack, though rather then his usual face splitting smile at the sight of his best friend, John could only manage a sad smile.

"Hey Jack" John replied. "I'm alright, just not happy with what happened at Breakfast. You missed it. Henry gave Jules a necklace" John said, he stopped, the rest was almost too painful to think about, let alone recall out loud.

"Well, I called him up on it. Well, Zoe didn't like that too much, and now Jules hates me, and so does Zoe"

The words that rolled out of John's mouth came with intense gloom and anger. Only when his own brain processed what he was saying, only then could he understand why he was sombre. Tudor. Henry freaking Tudor. Why did he always have to rain on his and John's parade hmm? Christmas was fine till he came along and crushed it like a glass bauble. His stupid, ignorant, pathetic and naive face just had to pop up everywhere he went. It sickened him. And to make matters worse was he was sending jewellery to Juliet? She was like a sister to him, has been ever since he looked at her as more of a flirt buddy. There was no way he was going to be hitting on her. Jack would of pummelled Henry if he were to flirt with Jesse. Juliet was no exception.

"What? A macaroni necklace with little pasta beads...?" Jack frowned, in his usual disappointed drawl. He remembered something. Jack and Henry had detention together. Yes together. All thanks to Professor Jason Mayer, who gave them detention for arguing in the hospital wing. Ugh. Great. Spending time with some dofus face in a room was the best Christmas present he ever had. "Mate, I'll talk to Jules about it. I know she'll probably be mad and knowing her she'd be super stubborn if you talk to her," Jack offered with a sigh," But it's up to you to sway Zoe. Lavish her, sweep her off her feet. You know the usual, that would make a girl fall head over heels with you."

Silas had been making his way down the stairs when he heard some strange noises coming from the fifth floor. He entered the fifth floor corridor and came up on John and Jack. He walked up to them all smiles until he saw their faces. Jack seemed concerned and John looked upset and his fist was bright red. What happened, he wondered. Though if he had one guess it probably had to do with Jules.

"Well if it isn't my two favorite blokes. So who are we going to humiliate today," he said putting his arms around the both of them, smiling again. He wanted to ask what was wrong but didn't want to force John to talk about it. He would tell Silas when he wanted to. He hoped the idea of a prank would lighten his mood. Maybe it was something a harmless joke couldn't fix.

"Yeah, I know it's up to me. I'm just not sure if I'm up to it with Zoe. I didn't even tell you the next bit." John stopped. Someone was about to join them in the corridor. John's hand crept to his wand, just in case it was someone unfriendly.

"Well if it isn't my two favorite blokes. So who are we going to humiliate today," said Silas, scooping both John and Jack with his arms.

"Oh, hey Silas" John said. Glad to know it was a friend not a foe.

"Listen to this Silas, so I left the common room this morning to see Zoe, we were going to meet up before breakfast, and I went to give her the present that I got for her. So first of all, I'm waiting for ages in the freezing corridor waiting for her to come out, and then when she came out, I gave her the present, and she didn't have one for me. You know what she said "I didn't know we we're doing presents", and that's all. I mean, we've been together for 6 weeks already." John said, and breathlessly waited for his friends reactions.

"I think a good bit of Christmas pranking is exactly what Hogwarts needs, especially in the gloominess since the attack at Holloween, we need to cheer the school up" John said, his mood brightened slightly by the appearance of his two close friends, but was still dampened by the up coming doom of John and Zoe's relationship, and the fact that once again John was the target of Juliet's ire.

Though he wouldn't admit it to the other boys, the thing that Zoe had done which stung John the most, was the fact that John was still not over Juliet yet, and John knew, though he wouldn't admit it aloud, that she was right.

Prentice strolled into the Fifth Floor Corridor, his face expressionless as it often was, his steps light, yet doubtlessly confident.

He spotted his closest friends gathered around. Seeing the mirth on their faces, he smiled.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? Planning some mischief, boys?"; he said raising an eyebrow, a small smirk creeping onto his face. "I hope you boys don't intend to keep me out of the spotlight."; he continued with his usual banter.

The one thing he loved more than learning about magic was using it in a social, albeit, rascally way. There was nothing in the world he would enjoy more than exercising his magical prowess with his friends.

"Now, let's see to including me in our plan of action, shall we?"; he said grinning impishly.

"Silas, Silas, Silas... what a pleasant surprise," the frown on his lips morphed into a faint smirk. Finally, this might be a way to liven up the mood. Jack wasn't entirely good at comforting guys, but more so girl with their little dramatic problems. A genuine smile formed on his smug lips. Humiliate mm? He had the perfect person in mind. There was no doubt that Tudor was going to pay for his stupid ignorance and inconsiderateness of other blokes' flames and ex-girlfriends. Didn't anyone say to him it wasn't polite to act like a sleazebag in front of girls? "I say we go get Tudor," Jack offered, crossing his arms and leaning onto the wall which John had been leaning on.

He listened to John go on about his girl problems. Jack felt kind of bad. His problems with the opposite gender had quickly webbed away after going out with his best friend. Leighton was no longer the main concern, he had forgotten about his feelings for Desiree and he had no more worries about Daniela snogging some random Slytherin guy. Jack was in his seventh heaven. Which was a shame since he got him forgetting about his best friend's problems. "Mmm," he nodded absent-mindedly as he drifted into his own world.

"It was about time we got the whole gang united together," Jack grinned widely as Prentice presented himself to the three boys loitering around in the corridor as if they were planning something big. Which they were. They were sort of like a clique. Sort of. More like a small mob of highly immature Gryffindor boys who like the taste of adventure. All wonderful mates whose skills pitch in when it came to rule breaking and devious pranks. None shall rival the four. "I have a detention with Tudor and Professor Mayer, so lets get going."

Silas nodded at the appropriate times as John explained what happened. By the end, he was shaking his head wondering what was going on in the head of his old friend. Henry never used to act like this but ever since he crossed that line he just keeps taking it a step further. What a disappointment, he thought.

"It's like Tudor is asking for it," he grumbled as another person entered the corridor.

Thankfully it was their friend Prentice and not a teacher or nosy student. Silas gave him a big smile. "Of course we were waiting for you Prentice mate, it only took you 5 years to show up," he teased. Silas was glad everyone was on board for the humiliating and while he was thinking of a random third year at first it was now apparent who was their target.

Silas nodded in agreement as Jack mentioned his detention. "Well it's settled then, we're shoving him into the broom closet," he said with a wink. He had just thrown the idea out there but if everyone was serious about it, there'd be no way he'd back down.

Prentice smiled in agreement as Jack mentioned the reunion of their motley crew. He was quite pleased to be reminded that he was part of this mischievous lot of Gryffindor boys.

"The broom closet sounds like a wonderful idea, Silas, but I think it might be missing something." Hmmm; Prentice thought for a moment, furrowing his brow slightly.

He smiled soon after, with a pernicious twinkle in his eye; color=#ee4a2d]"We should make his little holiday in the closet a memorable one. Perhaps we can procure some stink pellets to make his stay a more momentous event? "[/color]; he said wickedly.

Prentice was quite proud of his ability to conjure ideas for trouble. It was just like weaving a spell to him; magical and fulfilling. He just hoped there would be time to acquire the desired item.

"He's been asking for it ever since he hit on Juliet," Jack sneered, his words seeping through his clenched jaw. Poor, naive Tudor. The sleazebag of Gryffindor. He just hoped that no other Gryffindor boy would accompany the runt. It was bad enough that he had to find an adversary in his very own house, but with someone else being buddies with him would be dangerous. For them of course.

A mischievous smirk curled at the end of his lips. "Broom closet, stink pellets... is all good fun and a lovely base for a prank..." he started with his usual drawl. Only it was drenched with ill-intent and malice. He had never been to happy to destroy someone "... afterwards, we should render him unconscious and throw him into the cold wintery forest in only his pretty pink undies."

He realised how Slytherin like he sounded and the spiteful glint in his eyes vanished and the nasty twist on his arrogant smirk disappeared. Jack knew he was a hypocrite. He just didn't want to say it out loud in fear of being just like him. "But majority rules, I'll let you all decide whether my plan to humiliate Tudor is okay to execute," Jack inclined his head in a bow and returned to his smug demeanour.

John watched as the group of boys hatched evil plans at what they could do to Henry. Once upon a time, this would have delighted John, a band of merry pranksters getting revenge on someone John hated dearly.

"No" John spoke, intersecting the excited planning.

"As much fun as getting Tudor back for this, I want this to be bigger. I want the whole school to realize what is going on. I want the entire school, from first years to seventh years talking about the Christmas prank of 2012. I want us to make this day memorable, and that means not targetting anybody. It means a school wide prank." John said. The speech seemed to roll off the top of his tounge, his eyes brightened with the prospect of Chaos they could reign.

"I want this prank to mark our arrival at the school as the first pranksters to rival, or even surpass the Weasley's" John finnished.

"That is what I want"

He raised his eyebrows as John dismissed the idea of targeting Tudor, but to aspire to give Hogwarts a school-wide prank that would be remembered for years. Personally, Jack didn't mind the idea of being remembered on and on as being involved with an enormous prank. Just the part where it involved a lot of sweat and work. "My, My... Mr Holland is getting ambitious," Jack smirked, folding his arms tighter as he observed the faces of Silas and Prentice, wondering what they might be thinking right now.

"Ideas would be gratefully accepted now," Jack pointed out, in his own mind attempting to rake in the creativity involved to conjure such a full scale prank. He had a few. But he deemed them as minuscule or too much effort, or too cruel. Most people didn't know how vicious he got. That part of his personality was hidden behind closed doors.

"But not at the Ball," Jack frowned, he noted that he sounded like a girl. Or vain. "I want it to be a perfect night and without devious... distractions."

"Yes, Jack has been waiting ages for tonight, had his outfit picked out months ago," Silas said mockingly, "But in all seriousness, the Ball is probably the best time to do it. Everyone will be there and any prank we'd do would surely be noticed. Sorry Jack." But Jack did have a point. As much as he didn't like dressing up, Silas was looking forward to spending some time with Hanna. He didn't wanna mess the night up for her due to a prank but if his friend needed him, well what could he do.

But what exactly would they do? What happened to John sure made him determined. The Weasley twins were his inspiration and doing something that would put their next to each other, well it made Silas giddy with excitement. "Maybe we could spike the drinks? It's a little elementary but I'm sure we can do something else as well on a bigger scale."

Jack pouted childishly, huffing and crossing his limbs over his chest tightly. "Fine. But I say we have a clean after party later on..." he supposed. At least then they could have a fun night without any mischievous pranks flying about in the air.

Perhaps maybe he could talk to Piper or Louis about it. Possibly one or the other, since they both very much despise each other even if they always tend to have hate snogs every single time there was a revelry going on. Louis always knew how to throw a party and Piper always knew how to get everyone there, mostly boys but oh well. They were like a dynamic duo. It was a shame that they broke up. The only up side was that he could previously banter with her without Louis breathing on his neck.

"We should make this prank memorable, not cruel. Meaning, not targeting... especially not targeting a girl's looks," Jack pondered out loud," There is no way I want us to be public enemy number one."

Nothing cruel? Well where was the fun in that? Silas wasn't one for hurting someone too bad but no harm meant in a little joke, most of the time anyways. But he couldn't help but agree with Jack this time. He was hoping to avoid trouble for at least a little while. "Agreed. No targets. Just letting our names be known," he said with a mischievous smile, "Besides tonight will only mark the beginning. We've got plenty more time to do whatever we want."

Silas couldn't help but think he was sounding like a leader of a cult. Not his intention of course but fun was always the name of the game in his opinion. "So we've got some ideas, we just need to pull our resources together and fast if this is going down tonight."

Prentice listened intently to the ideas expressed by each of his friends. Taking account the presented ideas and constraints, he was despairing that they would conjure a prank powerful enough to stand the test of time.

He cursed to himself the fact that the ball was such treacherous territory for their work, given that his friends were sentimental about the event. It made no difference to him whether the ball was affected. It's not that he was a mean spirit, just that the event held no value to him.

"If we really want to be remembered then I think we'll need a bit of help."; he said as he pulled out his wand. Holding his wand in his hand helped him think.

Prentice let out a sigh as he racked his brain for a spell that would be perfect for this situation. Something simple enough to cast that wouldn't ruin the party. While it held no value to him, his friends' sentiments were on the line, and he would never suggest anything that could come between his friends and their emotional inclinations. He was a prankster, indeed, but he always put his friends first.

"Yes, Jack has been waiting ages for tonight, had his outfit picked out months ago," Silas quipped.

Jack looked a bit hurt, and John gave laugh, patting his friend on the shoulder. "Do not worry, we will not get your dress dirty". "As for the after party, I'm sure the Gryffindor common room could hold a masterful party. I got told by a seventh year how to get to the kitchens, the house elves are really oblidging. So we can get what we need from them for an after party. Do not worry Jack, I'll make sure we'll celebrate tonight" John said.

He focused his attentions on the prank. "I agree, for this prank to be memorable we cannot target specific people, I'd almost say that if no body is hurt that would be fantastic, Hogwarts has seen enough death and destruction in the last few months. It can do without more tonight.

"Do any of you have any fireworks? I've got a bit of a store left. I think for tonights entre, we should start with a bang. Each one of us sets up in a corner. This should create the noise and fun for everyone to start talking about. Everyone will be there and see it. Also won't hurt anyone." John suggested, certainly would disrupt the feast and the ball.

"Also, I'd like to think of this needing a name. Like an opperation name." John suggested to the others.

"Fireworks? Perfect," Silas exclaimed, "I'm pretty sure I have a few in my trunk in the dormitory." This is going to be epic, he thought. Since there was a beginning with fireworks they needed a middle and an ending. "We could spike the drinks causing whoever to constantly dance until the it wears off." Again he was throwing out the idea but maybe a calmer joke would fool everyone into thinking they were done. Only they'd be in for quite a surprise. That could be the middle and now they just needed an ending. Something awesome.

John brought up having an operation name. Silas put a hand to his face and stood in his thinking stance. "Well if we're gonna name the operation we should all have code names too."
