| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Hunger ripped through the Merewolf's stomach as she trampled through the forest. The nearest scent was a mile and a half away. A centaur. Merewolf was not interested in killing a lowly centaur. Their taste was as bitter as the coldness of Space. Merewolf had to deal with it. It frustrated the beast. It stopped in its tracks and howled, only to cause a bird to skitter away. Food in this hellhole was hard to come by. In anger, impatience, and angst - Merewolf struck at the nearest tree. It's claws scratched the bark, causing it to land on Merewolf's feet. Merewolf howled again, tearing at the tree with it's teeth. The beast spit the bark into the path, before taking off again. This was not it's night. Food seemed in the far too distant future. |

The idea of attending the Halloween Feast instantly flew out of the window when Carter moved up to the Entrance Hall. The Great Hall would of been reeking with such filth and disgust, as students loitered around laughing in their ridiculous costumes. Quite frankly it was stupid and Carter did not want to take part. Instead he exited the castle to inhale the intoxicating air that only appeared during the evening. Now he was in the Forbidden Forest. Quietly pondering to himself. He knew that there would be other students on the Grounds, waiting for the Quidditch Match to start and the thought of company turned him off today. Deep in the forest, he looked out into an opening where only dead leaves and twigs littered the empty space and where the trees refuse to grow in. Carter sat against a tree, playing with his wand absent-mindedly. Carter couldn't quite figure out what was so horrifying about the Forbidden Forest, the trees were, in all honesty, rather menacingly and the winded howled as eyes popped up in the dark. Just little creatures hanging about. But other than that, there was nothing special and quite frankly nothing forbidden about it. The Quidditch Match is probably about to start, Carter mused, sitting up from the forest floor and pocketed his wand. Faint screams reached his ear, screams screeching for help and then a loud sound, like thunder pounded in his ear. At first he thought it was just his imagination. His mind playing tricks to persuade him that there was something intriguing about the Forbidden Forest. It was then he saw sparks and ember floating up into the sky and the crashing of a large structure, hopefully engulfing students underneath it. Carter could feel his mouth twitch, having the longing temptation to smirk. Now there was something you don't see everyday. Someone who was as dark and malevolent to spark a large fire throughout Hogwarts deserved his respect. Gazing at the bits of glowing coal making their way up to the heavens above he had heard a patter of feet sprinting inwards from the edge of the forest. Carter spun around pulling out his wand hastily, he suspected that the person was either a coward or the perpetrator. And more feet began to join in. Coolly positioning himself for a fight, he peered his eyes through the dark woods, his eyes already adjusted to the soothing darkness. |

Paton wheezed into the Forbidden Forest, beginning to notice how badly the fiendfye was affecting his body, though he was completely out of contact. The smoke had slowly osmosed through every pore in Paton's flesh, and it weighed down his arms and legs like anchors, making it even harder to move with his loss of breath. Where red and brown leaves were once floating from the treetops, ashes were now swirling around everywhere, even on into the forest. Occasionally Paton would breath these particles in and erupt into a fit of coughing before he could march onward, all the while hoping Winnie was following close behind. Much to his dismay, Paton hadn't caught a glimpse of Mary yet now that he was in the forest. Then again, she might have been hiding. Paton needed to make himself known. "Mary!" he began to repeat as he paced further into the forest. There was an opening up ahead, Paton could tell; the forest was growing brighter with moonlight where the canopy was less dense. He began to approach it, but froze solid when the moonlight caught a different figure. It must have been Marion, Paton thought, but his better judgement told him not to move any nearer. "Mary?" he called. "Mary, we don't need the diversion! It's in the school! Now c'mon!" |

Winnie chased after Paton as they made their way into the Forbidden Forest. The prospect of going into the forest at this time of the evening on the same night that someone conjured fiendfyre seemed completely ridiculous at this point. There was no reason for them to be there anyway. Besides finding your best friend, Mary, Winnie reminded herself having momentarily forgotten their purpose. It seemed like she'd been coughing nonstop since they'd left the grounds just as Paton had been. She followed his lead, calling Mary's name after him and it went on that way in a pattern for a short while as they slowly moved forward, searching for any sign of Marion. "What? What is it?" Winnie asked worriedly when he stopped abruptly. She glanced forward, her eyes catching sight of the figure in the clearing. Paton automatically assumed it was Marion and Winifred did the same until she squinted to get a better view. It didn't help much, but the outline she made out in the darkness seemed to be broader than Mary. It didn't look like it was her slender body in the distance. Now the blonde was truly frightened. She clung to Paton's arm, keeping a close eye on the figure. "Paton," she whispered, "I don't think that's Mary." Winnie hoped she was wrong. What if Mary had never made it to the forest? What if she was dead? Winnie swallowed hard, wishing she could quit thinking about that possibility. |

Carter heaved a sigh as he recognised the sounds of a student calling out with desperation and worry into the dense air. As if the air wasn't already thick enough. Calmly, he pocketed his wand back into the inner compacts of his overcoat before continuing to lean on the tree behind him. Well there was no use going back onto the grounds, unless burning himself was a priority plus if he staked out her in the woods, he wouldn't have to touch the filthy bodies that littered the grounds. Two birds, one stone. The mannish voice edged closer to where he was until his bottom half of the mystery person was bathed in the moonlight. It froze solid one moment and for a minute Carter thought he was going to whip out his wand before he called out to him. And then he spoke. Mary? Who the frack was Mary? A soundless chuckle accompanied his trademark smirk, folding his arms curiously as he stepped a bit closer. A diversion? So a damsel was playing the hero, how bemusing. And it went inside? Someone didn't start a fire after all, so somehow a dragon or whatever creature it was, was set loose to reek havoc on all the students, sending flames to plague the school grounds. "Why the rush?" Carter cooed, his face still shaded by the canopy of the trees above. Carter rose an eyebrow as another figure pattered her way towards his presence. A girl this time, maybe even the desired Mary. Alas, no, she looked anxious and scared out of her pants considering the way she clutched on to the guy's arm tightly. "Mmm, yes the girl is right. Does this voice sound like your beloved Mary?" Carter spoke out with a bored tone, as much as he loved toying with other people. They were using up all his air and privacy. |

What started out as run became a stumble as Mary entered the Forbidden Forest. The smoke became too much for Mary as she became dizzy and lightheaded. She grabbed on a tree for support while she felt like she was coughing up a lung. Her plan didn't go as desired but Paton and Winnie had still came in here and now she had to find them. They had to know everything was alright. While her breathing went back to normal she looked around for any sign of them. Nothing. It was dark and cold and Mary's confidence began to shrink. If there ever was something for her to be scared of, it was the dark. That and her friends were missing. Near her, she could heard branches snap as if someone had stepped on them. She turned around and saw nothing but as she squinted her eyes she saw a dark figure. As the outline became clearer she knew that it was neither Winnie nor Paton. It was hunched over and still. Characteristics that didn't belong to either of her friends. Whatever it was, Mary didn't want to meet it. Mary began to back up slowly, going deeper into the forest until the figure became a blur. It was then she heard her name faintly. Winnie! Paton! She ran towards the sound hoping not to get lost. It wasn't until she heard a loud, unrecognizable voice that she realized she was heading in the right direction. She ran even faster until she could see them clearly. She stopped in front of them, smiling yet worried. She knew they shouldn't be here and they had to get out of there as soon as possible. It wasn't until then that she realized someone else had joined their party, who she assumed was the owner of the voice she didn't recognize. As she looked at him more closely, she faintly remembered seeing him around the halls. Her stupid cousin, Marcus, was usually following him around like a brainless robot. She eyed him up suspiciously wondering what he was doing here, and with her friends no less. She couldn't remember his name nor cared as she turned her attention back to Winnie and Paton. She hugged both of them, relieved they were alright. "The plan didn't work. We didn't have to make a diversion but I saw you guys go in here anyways and I followed you. We really have to get out of here," she said, noticing that they both were looking in the same direction at something. When Mary's eyes saw what they were seeing, shock came over her. "Guys, we really need to get out of here. Now," she whispering as not to cause attention themselves. She doubted they needed to be told but she couldn't help but feel demanding. What exactly was it that was watching them and was it the same ‘thing' she saw from before? Edited by Marion Vincent, Jan 28 2011, 05:47:34 PM.

Be it the effect of the lingering smoke or the sight of that Breslin brute, Paton's eyes narrowed. Carter Breslin, the same pompous beauty queen Paton had harbored a loathing for ever since their first encounter at the summer party, was undoubtedly the last person Paton wanted to see at the moment, and of all nights. As if Mary's still being missing wasn't disappointment enough, now there was Carter to put up with. What was he doing out here anway, and all alone? Out here, buried beneath the trees, would have been an ideal hideaway for anyone plotting mischeif that night, namely whichever crackpot had started this whole mess. Paton was beyond suspicious. Swiftly Paton raised his wand. Instead of muttered one of the many jinxes he would have liked to try on Carter, he chose "Lumos." The opening, which was already somewhat lit by the moon, became brighter. "Hey, old pal," he said emotionlessly, "You wouldn't happen to have anything to do with.. all this, would you?" His words were cold and serious, a sure rarity for a Puff like Paton Raye. Oh God, if Breslin had layed a finger on Marion, Paton would - Paton's heart flew into his throat when Mary stumbled into the clearing. He had never felt more relieved in his life. Paton opened his mouth to speak, but she managed to sneak her words in before he could even begin. Paton saw her eyes flicker back to the darkness and could sense fear in them. "Only one problem," Paton said. "Where the hell are we?" He looked around them and saw no clear path toward the school. Even the distant screams were bouncing off every tree and echoing in a hundred different directions. |

Winnie resisted the urge to scream when the figure in the distance began to speak. She was sure it was just another student and probably nothing to be concerned about. Despite this, her heart was racing as she waited for something to happen, anything. The sight of Marion calmed her down a bit and she let out a long sigh of relief letting go of Paton's arm and reaching for her the blonde. "Mary," Winnie whispered as she hugged her friend. Mary was alive still, everything was going to be alright. Part of her was still in doubt, but she wanted to believe that was true more than anything. Paton seemed to recognize the other boy in the forest and she watched as the two interacted. Paton's words scared her more than anything. Was this boy part of all this madness? Had he done something? Would he hurt any of them? She took a step back, wanting to follow Mary's advice and get out of there as soon as possible. There was no need for their diversion now anyway Mary informed them. "Well we came in from..." Winnie began, trailing off as she looked every direction, trying to remember. The problem was everything looked the same at this point. Leaving would be much easier said than done. Darkness covered everything, only a few things being illuminated by moonlight and Paton's wand in the clearing. She swallowed hard, standing close to Marion, terrified at the prospect that they were lost in the Forbidden Forest. Edited by Winnie Anderson, Jan 29 2011, 05:59:05 PM.

As soon as the sweet smell of humanity had reached its nose, the Merewolf had sped in the direction of the scent. Nothing stood in its' way. No tree, animal, or centaur could stop her from her quest for its' quest for flesh. The merewolf tore and bounded through shrubbery, clearings, and countless trees. It was hungry, and it's prey was near. A small howl escaped its' lips as it found itself behind a large tree. With a sniff, it located the prey. Silently, the beast hid itself behind the tree and waited for the right moment. It was time to attack. |

Carter smirked lightly as his identity was revealed. And so was the boy who stumbled upon him. It was Paton, the guy who dissed him at the party and one of Juliet's lovers, by the way his face would always light up whenever he saw her or something like that. The girl clutched around Paton's arm was quite frankly pitiable, the way she shivered with fear and her overall terrified state. He almost wanted to slap her. Note the word almost. "Pathetic," Carter spat as he grimaced with disgust. Another blonde joined them. A Hufflepuff and two blondes. Quite frankly not the company he was looking for. "I doubt you'd listen to me if I say I have nothing to do with all this," Carter replied. It did look suspicious that Carter was all by himself, in the forest and away from whatever happened out there. OOC: Forgive me for the lack of quality. Though scanning the area, Mary listened as the others talked. Paton and Winnie had no idea where they were and it was obvious the three of them wish that Carter hadn't found them. It seemed he felt the same way but she hardly cared about him at the moment. She was looking for any signs of a familiar path, though the Forest didn't exactly contain paths. "I doubt you'd listen to me if I say I have nothing to do with all this" Mary stopped her examination of the area to look at Carter and snort. "As if you'd say anything worth listening to," she said haughtily. As much as she would like to knock the Slytherin down a few pegs, Mary had more important things to worry about, such as where they were. Like Winnie started to say there was no way to tell where they came from. "Well...I think I came from there...or maybe it was over there,"she said hesitantly. She put her hands on her hips and sighed. She should have known they would gotten lost. "Okay, so we are more than likely lost," she said pathetically, "Anyone have any good ideas?" She said that last part while looking at Carter with a raised eyebrow. Then she recalled Patons previous accusation about the attack, "Wait a second, what are you doing out her by yourself? |

"Exactly", Paton sighed when the girls tried and failed to retrace their steps. To make matters worse, they'd all come from different directions. Trying to find the right line back to the castle was like finding a needle in a haystack. No doubt each of them had dipped and dodged around trees along the way too, so there was not a trace of a path, especially in this darkness. The forest seemed intimidating enough from the outside looking in, but now that their motely crew was dropped somewhere within the tangle of trees it was one neverending sheet of darkness. In a way, they were trapped. And then there was the Slytherin. Luckily, Mary seemed equally annoyed with him, and Paton might not have had to deal with the burden that was Carter Breslin on his own. "What she said," Paton droned. Nothing that fell out of Breslin's ugly mouth was worth believing, but Paton didn't think a great git like Carter could possess the skill to conjure a Fiendfyre. Despite his urge to smash this kid's mug into the next dimension, Paton didn't think they had a choice but to drag Carter out of the Forbidden Forest along with them, even if the cur needed a collar and leash. They'd be asking for trouble by leaving him behind, and maybe they could even question him further once they made it to the castle. If they made it to the castle. Unfortunately, the lot still needed to reach this bridge before they crossed it. Since nobody else seemed interested finding an escape, Paton took it upon himself to begin looking. He waved his illuminated wand below his knees and shedd light on two pairs of footprints at the edge of the clearing. He recognized the first as his own. It was long, wide, and imprinted with a Muggle company's logo. The second pair of footprints was more daunting. They were similar in size to Paton's sneaker prints, but did not resemble the bottoms of training shoes at all. The toes were round and seemed to be stuck with rather sharp nails.. no, not nails. Claws. Paton swallowed slowly. He hardly wanted to imagine what sort of creatures might be lurking among them. "This way, I think," he said quietly. |

The Merewolf watched anxiously as a group of students conversed from the other side of her tree. It's patience had worn thin as they looked in every direction stupidly. None of them thought to circle the tree...at least not at first. The Merewolf growled as the one standing nearest to its hiding spot began to wander in the right direction. Its scent caused the beast to tighten its muscles as if it was about to spring up. The prey moved closer and closer...causing the Merewolf's mouth to water. Until - it stepped out from next to the tree. The human did not notice the beast in that split second. He was too busy examining the beast's tracks. "This way, I think," With that verbal cue, Merewolf knew it had to act. With a howl, it lept from its spot - landing on top of the human unceremoniously. It's claws dug into the sweet flesh, pinning the human to the ground. [ooc: If you need me to change anything, let me know.] |

Carter was not making a particularly good first impression, but Winnie wasn't in the mood for confrontation. They were all in the same boat here anyway, lost in the Forbidden Forest. That is, unless Carter knew something he wasn't telling them. Come to think of it, how had they planned on getting out of there to begin with? There was a faint howl somewhere around them and Winifred glanced around frantically, looking for the source. Her eyes didn't detect anything within the thick overgrowth of trees around them. She swallowed hard as she looked back at Mary with wide eyes. "Did you... did you hear that?" she questioned, her small voice shaking. She hoped the source of the noise was only her paranoia and not what Winnie was worried it could be. Winnie had been hoping Mary would have the solution to their problems, but she seemed just as unsure as the rest of them. Paton and Marion seemed set on accusing Carter for causing the attack, or hinting at it, but Winnie could have cared less at that moment. All she wanted to do was get out of there as quickly as possible without starting a fight with some Slytherin boy that could potentially harm them. She decided to do something that might actually be useful and pulled out her wand, muttering 'lumos' as she did so. Standing there hesitantly, Winnie watched as Paton tried to determine any footprints on the ground. She let out a sigh of relief when he seemed to have found some sign of where they came in at. Using her own wand, Winifred noticed the unusual set of animal tracks right when Paton was knocked to the ground. Winnie automatically took a step back, letting out a long scream as she watched the werewolf attack Paton. Her eyes were wide and her heart beat wildly as she watched the scene unfold, unsure of what to do and knowing something needed to be done. "Paton!" Winnie screamed, her whole body paralyzed by fear. She had no idea what to do. Her hand automatically flew to her mouth and tears started to trail down her face. |

"As if you'd say anything worth listening to." "Then why are you still here?" Carter replied with a bemused chortle at her attempt to whip him with her word play. An eerie feeling sunk into the pores of his skin, like someone was watching their every move. He mentally shook his head. Nothing was out there. It was probably the fact that his unwanted companions were still here that made Carter feel like he was being watched. Ugh. Carter scanned the girls from head to toe, they were certainly looked at him with distaste which made a smirk prop up joviality. Students and their biased shit about Slytherin. Carter sighed, deepening his hands into the pockets of his overcoats. He stroked the handle of his wand absentmindedly, feeling it's beauty and fine craftsmanship underneath is fingers. Oh how he wished that he could just shut them up. "Well, well, well... someone is curious," Carter replied silkly, his eyes glancing onto the floor. He had no intention of telling them anything. If he did, it would be likely that they would come back for more just so they can prod at him with flimsy insults and accusations. He stood silently as he watched the group question amongst themselves. Carter did not like Paton, or any of the other girls for that matter. They were pathetic and probably would of died in the fires if they had not run into the forest. Carter watched idly as Paton kneeled down to check with direction they had come in and caught what had captured his gaze. Footprints and claws. "What the f*ck is-" But his words of scorn were interrupted as a large creature leaped from behind a tree and pinned down Paton. Carter's jaws clenched as he saw the gleaming teeth flash in the moonlight. His body felt stiff but it was weirdly enticing. His eyes fixed on Paton and the creature, grasping his wand slightly, it was a sight he couldn't bear to look away. Edited by Carter Breslin, Feb 1 2011, 09:55:29 PM.

Everything happened so fast. One moment Paton was fussing over the fresh pawprints in the mud and having sickening realizations about how eerie the moon was looking this evening, and before he could process a thing, he was thrown into the ground like a ragdoll. Paton hit the cold ground with a forceful thud, knocking out both his breath and his senses. After a split second of recuperation, Paton's eyes snapped open, and the very image he had been fearing became a horrific reality. Paton saw the eyes first; a pair of bright opalescent orbs that glowed nearly as bright as the moon. Next was the snout; long and narrow and producing foul snarls with each of Paton's flinches. And then there were the teeth, seemingly longer and sharper than any non-magical wolf or beast, twice as ample, and lusting for flesh. Paton couldn't yell. He could hardly even breath under the weight of the monster crushing his chest. He desperately clenched the fist where his wand had been, but the wand had slipped from his grasp when the creature pounced, and his hand was empty. All that was left for him to do was flail his body spastically and let Winnie's voice ring in his ears until he died. It was all a bit surreal. Terrifying, but surreal. |

Mary had been about to make a suggestion when a quiet but distinctive wail could be heard in the distance. She thought she had been the only one to have heard but Winnie pointed it out as well. This only proved to Mary that the faster they got out of the forest the better. What happened next was almost like a dream in Mary's mind. First she heard what sounded like a huge animal racing towards them, a loud snarl and then a loud thud. The last sound that Mary heard was another scream, only this time it wasn't in the distance at all. It belonged to Winnie, who was right next to her. Whatever it was came out of nowhere and attacked Paton. Once it registered what was taking place, it took everything Mary had not to scream. Winnie was still crying and yelling, but the only sounds Mary could hear were the breathing and growl of the monster. Maybe it was the lighting of the moon or the way everything seemed to go in slow motion but Mary still couldn't believe what was happening. She stood motionless and without emotion. This is just a dream, just a dream, wake up wake up wake up… After what seemed like a lifetime and through tears, Mary finally came out her shock. She looked around her and more closely at the creature and recognized it was a werewolf. Mary didn't have time to question the facts or logic of its appearance as it still had its attention on Paton which was what they needed if they wanted a chance to survive. Still, Winnie was in hysterics and Carter in disbelief. Even Mary felt like breaking down herself. They had no idea where they were and no knowledge of defense against this creature. Even now she still hadn't realized it would be a good idea to take out her wand. She was starting to doubt they'd get very far and wondered if they should just give up as the odds were so clearly against them You might as well tap its shoulder and ask to go next, she thought. No, we have to get out. We're going to help Paton and we're all going to get out alive. She reached out and grabbed Winnie's wrist and then signaled for her to stay quiet. She slowly moved over to Carter and grabbed his wrist as well. The dislike she had for him was gone the second their lives were in danger. What did it matter now anyways? Her first motive was to help Paton and then get out of the area. But how were the going to distract the werewolf? There was no possibility of outrunning it but maybe one of them knew a spell to cast at it… She slowly backed up, carefully lifting her feet as to not make much noise. "We have to help Paton," she whispered, knowing that much was obvious but they had to do something and quick. He was running out of time and she would never forgive herself if something bad happened. The Merewolf howled again. A long, shrill howl that seemed to make the trees stir. The other humans were screaming, panicking, and generally acting stupid. The same screams Amera had expressed her first transition. Ending the howl, the Merewolf pushed the flailing boy down to the ground. The beast tore it's teeth into flesh without mercy. Nevermind that the victim's friends surrounded them. Let them watch! Venom sweeped into the boy's veins, and perhaps- if the Merewolf had stopped at that moment - then he would have transformed. However, the werewolf was too young to control the attack. The boy was unlikely to survive another minute. ooc: crappy. Just die already...geeze.

Winnie's shrieking abruptly stopped when another howl pierced through the night air, drowning out everything else and making her whole body shake in fear. This wasn't something Winnie wanted to witness and it felt wrong to do so, but for some reason she couldn't tear her eyes away. She sucked in a deep, shaky breath, trying to calm herself and failing to do so. Paton was going to die. The mere thought was hard to process, hard to even imagine. He couldn't die, he just couldn't. There had to be something the onlookers could do, but if there was Winifred couldn't complete her thoughts. The werewolf's teeth clenched around Paton's flesh, tearing into it. Winnie winced, letting her eyes close completely for a moment and letting out a quiet whimper. Everyone seemed to merely be watching in shock, unable to think straight or do anything about what was happening. Paton was still alive somehow, but it probably would have been better if he'd already died taking into consideration the amount of pain he was in. Winnie couldn't even imagine. Her eyes snapped open when she felt a hand close around her wrist and she jumped in surprise. Winnie glanced over to see that it was just Marion. Her friend's touch was comforting, at least she knew she wasn't alone. Winifred moved slowly with Mary over to Carter, trying to make as little noise as possible. With every second that passed Paton was getting closer and closer to death. "Ye--yeah," Winnie stuttered quietly. "Any ideas?" she managed to choke out. There wasn't time to sit and debate or waste trying to figure out the best plan, they just had to come up with something and quick. Winnie looked at Marion with wide eyes, hoping she had a plan. Mary always had a plan. Her last plan had landed them here, though. No, Winnie wouldn't do this. She wouldn't play the blame game. Edited by Winnie Anderson, Feb 2 2011, 09:38:32 PM.

Carter watched in awe as the wolf-like creature tore at Paton's flesh. It was somewhat beautiful but to think that way felt like a crime. Still. The sight wasn't something that happened everyday, and the spectacle quickly etched into his mind. He could barely hear the screams coming from the one of the blondes and all senses shut down just to gaze upon the unspeakable gore of Paton's death. Thankfully the moonlight only revealed the outline of the creature and made the blood colourless or he would of been deafened by girl's screams. Vaguely, Carter registered a soft feminine around his wrist which broke his trance. He whipped a death glare at the girl and snatched his wrist back inwards and held it close to his chest. The girls could hold hands for all he cared, just not with him. Carter briefly hovered his gaze over towards the two girls. One of them looked like she was about to faint. And the other seemed to have thoughts racing in and out of her mind. "We have to help Paton." He grimaced slightly. Let the him be. Let him be consumed by the monster, or let him live with horrific scars and an experience that no one wishes to have. Carter sneered at her comment and quietly murmured, more to himself than anyone. "To go to heaven, he must go through hell... leave him." He knew this would horrify the girls. The thought of their reaction lightened up his mood. He wanted to stay. The danger of being next in line did not deter him, nor did the idea come to his head. Carter expected to be horrified. But he was looking on in wonder. |
