| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Danny's hands were burning from her previous bouts with the fiendfyre as she fumbled desperately for her wand. She wasn't about to be rendered helpless if the chaos on the grounds turned into a battle for life. "Danny?! What are you doing?! You have to get out of here... before you're hurt." Jack. Her eyes widened as he sprinted to her. Out of habit she reached out to him, grabbing hold of his shirt. "Jack!" She breathed, and suddenly her eyes were filled with tears. "I have to stay! I have to help in some way!" More people had entered the grounds and Danny felt like screaming. They needed to go back! It wasn't safe. She was beginning to wonder why she was staying. Bloody hat, sorting her into Gryffindor. She wasn't brave. She was foolish. She didn't understand consequences. The burning sensation in her hands intensified and she let go of Jack's shirt with a yelp. Holding her hands out in front of her, she was shocked to find them an awful shade of red, swollen with ugly cuts all over. Once again Danny pawed at her pocket, grasping her wand gingerly. "A-Aguamenti!" She hissed as the cool sensation of water surrounded her hands. The burning was reduced to a persistent throb and Danny gripped her wand with renewed force. "You can go but I'm staying. I can't just leave." Edited by Daniela O'Connor, Jan 21 2011, 04:18:06 PM.

The smoke from the flames that the tiger had left behind was growing thicker and more black by the minute, making it almost impossible for Paton to see anybody through the clouds. For a moment he thought he could see Jack, but the image of the Gryffindor was replaced with the discomposed expression of a much younger girl. Her ashen face was divided with long streaks of tears, and she was clearly in hysterics. In the blink of an eye, Toby was behind the Greenhouse with them, giving the weeping first year some optimistic reassurance. Paton frowned but said nothing. Soon Marion was at their side, describing a new plan of action. Her idea of creating a distraction seemed feasible, but Paton was unsure if it was necessary. When Mary ran off to inform Jack, Paton caught a glimpse of the Fiendfyre for the first time as it dashed into the Quidditch Pitch. "Mary, wait!" he called, but she was too far off to have heard him. Paton clenched his fists in defeat. Meanwhile, Toby stood with his arm around the sobbing child. Paton had never been much of a babysitter, but knew he ought to assume a paternal role if he wanted to save a few lives as well as his own. "Calm down!" he demanded. By now several more small students had joined their lot behind the Greenhouse. Paton turned to them, ceasing the chance for a getaway, and gave them a firm order. "Take this path straight up to the castle, and don't look back for anything. Find a proffesor, and then get your arses to your dormintories!" He shoved the first years off in the direction of the other path and kept a watchful eye on them until they had disappered beyond the castle wall. Paton turned his attention back to the chaos, unsure of what to do next. |

It seemed every time Mary broke into a run it was physically impossible for Winifred to keep the same pace. Her eyes stung as she stepped outside onto the grounds and she broke into a fit of coughs, pausing momentarily. That short amount of time was enough for her to lose sight of the others. The only thing Winnie saw was smoke and fire and a heck of a lot of people. This was mass chaos. This was a nightmare. There were more people rushing frantically the grounds now than there were a mere five minutes ago. Winnie looked around, desperately trying to find Paton and Marion within the thick crowds of people. It was impossible to think between the noise and the fear. Tears of frustration came to her eyes as she took a few steps left and then right looking for a sign of anyone she knew. "MARY!" Winnie yelled fearfully before breaking down in more sobs and gasps for air. It was getting harder to breathe in this mess of fire. The blonde then recalled what was said about not attracting any attention to themselves and immediately stopped herself from calling her friend's name again. She wracked her brain for any memory of what the plain had been before, forcing herself to concentrate and try to fix the situation instead of freaking out. The plan had been something about meeting behind the greenhouses. Winifred immediately ran off to the nearest greenhouse and breathed in a deep sigh of relief, which only made her emit more coughs, when she spotted Paton and Toby. "Thank God," It took her a moment to realize who was missing. The blonde was feeling rather light-headed and dizzy at this point. "Where's Mary?" Winnie asked Paton urgently. "Where's Mary?" she repeated in a desperate tone, her voice shaky as more tears came to her eyes. Edited by Winnie Anderson, Jan 21 2011, 06:02:01 PM.

Francis' eyes widened as he watched Alistair fall down. Without another thought Francis leaned down and picked Alistair up, he winces as his hand began to throb with pain but he wouldn't leave his friend here. He slipped his sketchpad into a pocket in his robe and began to walk along with Alistair on his back. As he ran, he got to the lake setting Alistair down and looking over him. He was out cold; he had to get someone to help him. Looking up, he saw a dark figure by the lake. Francis was always too trusting, without thinking he jumped up and walked closer to the figure glancing back to Alistair for a moment before looking back over to the mysterious figure. "Please can you help me? My friend has passed out and I need to get him out of here..." Francis glanced down to his hand, it was almost black. Bruised and badly burnt, he could hardly move his fingers without a siring pain running through it. But he still looked to the figure and wondered if this person would help him, or just leave him and his friend for dead. |

Ian tried to make the flow of water follow the fiendfyre, but just as the water reached the opening of the stadium, his control weakened, and the water came crashing down to the ground. He'd reached his distance limit for proper control. Now what? thought Ian, How can I get at it without blowing my cover... "Please can you help me?" Ian turned his head towards the sound of a student's voice in a motion that very much resembled the carrion bird whose resemblance his mask was fashioned into. Standing near him was a boy who Ian recognized as Francis Shaw, a Ravenclaw in his year. They had a few classes together. He was supporting another boy their age. Shit, thought Ian. "Please can you help me?" said Francis, "My friend has passed out and I need to get him out of here..." Of course, the boy could not recognize Ian. Ian was at odds with himself over how to deal with his classmates. He could help them without the other Squires noticing. Even if he ignored them, it might look bad. Luckily for them, the fiendfyre had left the area, so they were not in danger of being burned so much as they were in danger of being attacked and seriously injured by one of the other Squires looking for their next victim. With that in mind, Ian knew the best option. His mask hid his emotions as he thought all this over. To Francis, he would appear as though he was simply staring at him blankly, the ivory mask on his face suggesting something devoid of such things as "feelings." At last, Ian made his decision. He told himself over and over again it was the right one. It was the best chance the three of them had. If they were already down, the other Squires might leave them alone. Ian raised his wand, pointed it at Francis, and said "Stupefy." Edited by Ian de Pointe du Lac, Jan 21 2011, 06:21:48 PM.

Francis waited to see if this figure would help him, but all of a sudden he heard one word. "Stupefy." He suddenly saw a bright red light flash in front of his eyes, he felt his world begin to spin. All the colours drained from his vision leaving one colour; black. He felt his body fall back as if it were slow motion feeling his back and head hit the ground. It went blank. He was passed out, with only a unconscious Alistair for company. Not to mention a severely burnt hand. He didn't know it, but he was in real danger. |

Silas stopped running when he felt Hanna let go of his hand. She was stopping to rest. Usually he would make a joke about how she couldn't keep up but of course it wasn't the time. Still they were far enough from the danger that he wouldn't rush her. He kept a look out in case there was any sign of trouble. It seemed the fire had made its way towards the stadium and most students had gotten away. Still he could see outlines of bodies that no longer moved. "I can't believe this happened. Who--" he started to say before he was cut off by Hanna. She had pushed him against the wall and he became very confused. She moved in closer. "What are you," he choked out before there was no longer any space between his and her lips. His eyes widened in shock until he finally wrapped his arms around her. Was he dreaming? No, he had dreams with these situations and none of them ever felt like this. Silas no longer thought of the danger or the bodies. Just her. Finally, and regretfully, he pulled away. Maybe she had tripped and her lips just happened to land on his. He wanted to be sure she wanted this. No more games and jokes. He was completely serious as he looked at her. Could she really want him the way he wanted her? He would be so angry if this turned out to be some sort of joke. Even he couldn't forgive her if that was it. Unsure of himself, he asked, "Are you sure...this is what you want?" |

Hanna couldn't be happier when she felt his hands on her waist. She slowly moved her arms up to wrap around his neck, pulling him closer and standing on her tip toes so she could reach him. When he finally pulled away, she was also pulled back into the reality of this situation. Faint screams could still be heard, even if they were away from it all. But her eyes wouldn't break from his, she watched him listening to his question. She let herself smile wide, the biggest smile she could have possibly warn in that situation, before nodding. "Of course it's what I want Silas..." She said running a hand through his hair and watching his face. She was mesmerised by just him, no one else could make her feel like this. She leaned close again pecking his lips lightly before taking a step back, her arms were still around his neck though. "I needed to tell you I really like you in case..." She didn't want to think about how she would cope if Silas didn't make it, if she didn't make it she wouldn't have to feel anything. She would be dead. But if he were to go, she would feel something strong which could crush her in an instant. She didn't want doubts in her head for the rest of her life, plus she wanted to tell him. She hoped they could get away from this safe, but if they didn't at least he knew how she felt about him. |

Sixth Year

Jordanna smiled brightly as her creation wreaked utter havoc among the students attempting to get to the quidditch pitch. In a matter of mere minutes, the calm autumn evening turned into a disastrous night of fiery horrors. Jordanna felt a weird shot of emotion shoot through her spine when Amzi, a Gryffindor boy in her year, attempted to combat her conjured beast and fell to its awesome power, his body strewn across the dirt, mangled and burnt. It wasn't guilt she felt, but pride. Pride that her deeds would, without question, resonate throughout the wizarding world, because now, the dark lord's will extended through the sanctuary of Hogwarts and brought death to those undeserving of life. Jordanna's green eyes followed the movements of the beast she had summoned as it tore across the field and sent students running in all directions, terrified for their lives. She couldn't help but smirk as the aurors appeared and attempted to pacify her creation, and when Professor Bannishtar took his turn at distracting the beast. He succeeded, very briefly, at distracting the monster, but the beast was inevitably faster than the centaur, raking at his torso and setting him aflame. Very shortly after, however, the water from the lake rose up and threatened to engulf the fire, managing to cover the centaur and put the flames out. Before it could be enveloped, however, the creature burst toward the quidditch stadium and away from the lake with blinding speed. With a great roar, the flaming tiger leaped through one of the large observation stands, and, in an instant, the tarps that covered the wooden frame were billowing with flames. "You there! Stop it!" burst a voice from above Jordanna's hiding place. Surprised, the Slytherin flung her wand in the direction of the sound and locked onto Beth, who was now diving towards her on her broom. Jordanna could not recognize the girl, as she was too far away for her features to show through the cover of the forest. In an instant, Jordanna had a decision to make. Fight, or run. Obviously the girl would be no match for Jordanna's superior mastery of dark magic, but if she saw her face, she would be forced to take the girl's life, and the green flash would surely give her away. Not waiting another moment, Jordanna flung a spell into the air. "Incendio!" she cried in desperation, and flames shot out of her wand, not at Beth, but at the trees above her. Suddenly, the boughs of the trees burst into flame and began to spread, covering Jordanna's escape into the forest. The beast, now entirely autonomous and out of Jordanna's control, landed on the ground softly, instantly igniting the spots where its paws hit the dirt. Behind it, the large structure it had burst through creaked and groaned, threatening, at a moment's notice, to collapse. Sensing the danger, the fiery animation burst at top speed away from the quidditch pitch. Stopping for only a moment, it looked around the grounds as most of the students disappeared around the greenhouses or around the sides of the castle. With one glance at the lake, the creature understood that it might not remain as lucky as it had been if the water was moved once again, and at that, shot towards the front of the school and burst through the main castle doors and into the entry hall. When the beast disappeared, the grounds were silent for but a split second, and, suddenly, the flaming stand on the quidditch pitch splintered at its median and toppled over. OOC: The fiendfyre has now entered the castle, but I do NOT want anyone to post that it has appeared in the entry hall until I get a chance to post myself. If you do post in the entry hall (ie: if you want to be present when the beast bursts through the doors), position your character there now and I will post as the fiendfyre when I am ready. |

Fingers gripped around his shirt and he saw tears and his heart fell. No, no, what was he doing? He wasn't suppose to give this effect on her, he was here to get her to safety, to protect and comfort the girl. "I-I...." Jack stuttered, his eyes watered as he gazed into her soft eyes"... I'll never forgive myself if... if anything happened to you." Because... because she was his best friend? Because he loved her? He glanced at her hands as she retracted them hastily, her hands scarlet from the burns and nasty slashes that would most likely become infected if they weren't treated. She was quick to treat them with cold water before he could breath out a warning. He looked down at himself, he was himself, in a filthy state. His pants were burnt, bottom up, leaving his pinkish looking flesh exposed to the grey air. Looking at it made him realise how much pain he was in, it throbbed endlessly and his whole body was swathed with ashes. A little corner of his mind yearned for a shower. His glass eyes flickered up at Danny who seemed much more braver than she was a few seconds ago, a faint smile. He opened his mouth to retaliate, but closed it firmly once more. There was no point in arguing, she was going to stay anyhow. "That's my girl," Jack whispered. Then that girl. Mary or whatever walked towards him, standing sternly in front of him as brave as any Gryffindor could be. He admired her courage and her quick thinking, she could make for a Ravenclaw any day. But it was hard to hear over the raging flames of the fiendfyre and his face scrunched up as her ravings confused him even more. All he heard was "I have an idea. Paton and I.... away from the main and hidden paths.... break for the forest....got it?" Was she trying to say that there was a much safer path in the Forbidden Forest? He couldn't understand what she was saying but he didn't want to shoot down her idea. "I trust you know what you're doing!" Jack raised his voice over the thunder of the fires. Momentarily, he glanced at the Greenhouses, only too happy to see that a gather of students formed behind the structure and watched as Paton took charge and instructed the students to go up to the castle. Toby comforting a first year and Winnie scurrying off to join them. He scanned the grounds to have a quick glance at the fiendfyre's location. It was nowhere to be seen, it had to be somewhere else on the grounds. Jack could not see a flat surface, anywhere for that matter. All plagued by the charred bodies of the unfortunate and those clinging helplessly to life. The screams somewhat died as most of the students were behind cover. Suddenly Jack jerked his head around to see one of the Quidditch stands creak and moan before toppling over. Good merlin... |

Even through the screams of terror and the crackling of the flames, Paton caught the sound of another Hufflepuff's familiar voice. The voice, which called out the same name repeatedly, seemed to be growing louder and louder. Finally, Winnie emerged from the smoke and soot, looking just as shaken up as the first years that Paton had just ordered away. Things were only getting more frantic. "Relax, Winnie," Paton said. "Mary's run off to make run a plan by Jack. She'll be back soon, we just.." He placed a firm hand on Winnie's shoulder, "We just need to lay low until she gets back - hey you! YES, YOU!" Paton called to a frenzied third year who was still scampering about. "What are you doing? Get over here!" He pulled the boy aside and gave him the same directions to reach the castle safely. He repeated this each time he caught the robes of another student. In the meantime, there was still no sign of Marion returning, as far as Paton could tell. He wondered if Marion had gone ahead an initiated the diversion alone. After thinking it through, he decided that it was his best bet. Before he had a chance to act on it however, the fiendfyre beast came roaring back onto the grounds. Paton quivered as he watched the tiger crash through the doors of the school. Still Marion was missing. "Mary must've headed down to the forest without us," he coughed. "Toby, stay here and see if you can get any more to safety. Winnie, come with me. We've got to find Mary." He grasped Winnie's hand tightly and quickly lead her to an area near the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. Edited by Paton Raye, Jan 21 2011, 11:06:52 PM.

Addie's eyes widened as water cascaded over the fires, and Bannishtar luckily. Ian's here. The girl looked around quickly, trying to spot her friend of sorts. She couldn't find him, what she did see, however, unnerved her. There was a squire nearby. She was torn between confronting them, or checking on Banni. After a moments hesitation the girl moved toward the centaur, though kept her eyes glued to the figure in white. "Professor, can you hear me?" She asked, crouching beside him. |

The whole team had made their way out of the stadium, and not a moment too soon; the fiery beast had found its way inside. Wow, a moment more and we'd have been toast! Smiling at their good fortune, Toby followed Paton's lead and began to direct the younger students towards the castle. "That's it! Just follow the path and get yourselves back to bed. No sense in being out here until everything is sorted out." Many of their young charges remained unconvinced, but all were more than willing to take the safest route of action they could. He dragged a sleeve across his eyes as Winnie arrived, only suddenly aware of the smoke making them water and causing him to cough; with nothing else to cover his mouth he pulled the collar of his jumper up to prevent himself from having to breathe in the acrid fumes. A voice somewhere to his left addressed him; he moved closer to Paton to hear what he was saying. "Aye aye, cap'n," he replied, pulling the thick wool away for long enough to speak. With a nod to both the boy and Winnie he watched them go, keeping his eyes on the pair until they were out of sight. A crashing and splintering of wood, loud enough to be heard even over the roaring flames, drew Toby's attention to the stadium, fracturing and collapsing in the very stand they had been underneath The apparition rushed quickly in the direction of the castle before disappearing inside; thankfully, they had been sending the younger pupils around to a side entrance. Hopefully somebody will catch that thing before anything happens. |

Beth's heart was beating fast in her ears as she was nearing towards the ground and Jordana. At the second thought, calling out at the person wasn't a very smart idea, she realized. The attacker noticed her, and Beth was engulfed by sudden fear as she saw the fire escaping their wand. Sure she wasn't going to live to see another day, Beth covered her face with one gloved hand, as she flew through the burning branches, and began breaking abruptly. Not seeing the unknown figure anymore, she could only crash into the ground, which she decided against quickly. Passing one thick trunk by only a few inches, she tried to get out of the forest, but she was still descending too fast. In a desperate attempt to save herself, she tried to concentrate the magical energy around her in order to slow down, as in her Volatilis practice. However, as a lone spray slapped her across the face, she knew it was futile. Being only a few meters above the ground, she took a last turn right, pulled her broom as close as she could and plunged into a few thick bushes at the edge of the forest. For the second time that day, her world faded away. (OOC: You can come to Beth if you want, and maybe help her up. Anyway, she'll come by shortly, so she can evacuate someone on her broom, too. Just let me know if you have something ^^) |

Paton's words aided only slightly in relieving the blonde and she frantically looked around for Mary. "You let her go out there alone?" Winifred asked Paton disapprovingly. She wasn't mad at Paton particularly she was just worried and concerned for her friend's safety. "She's out there?" Winifred said, glancing at the grounds with wide eyes. She watched as Paton directed a third year back to the castle and several other students were doing the same. Only as she watched several crazed students run about did she realize she should probably be helping as well. Winifred's hands locked onto a second year's shoulders who had previously been running towards the scene of mass chaos. "Follow them," Winifred instructed in a soft, motherly voice pointing to a line of students that were making their towards a safe entrance of the castle. The blonde was able to be strong for others, but when it came to herself she could hardly deal with anything. Winnie covered her mouth with her robes as she broke into another fit of coughs. Where was Mary? She still wasn't back. Winifred was becoming increasingly worried with each passing minute. Paton then suggested that Mary had gone ahead without them. Winnie didn't think Mary would go ahead and leave without them. That wasn't the plan. Either way, she wasn't about to give up on opportunity to look for her friend at this point. Winnie nodded as Paton told her to come with him and she gave one last glance to Toby, praying for the boy's safety, before she was pulled forward by Paton and the two made their way towards the Forbidden Forest. As she ran she heard a crashing noise behind her and flinched, but didn't dare turn around. |

"Of course it's what I want Silas..." Of course...had it always been that obvious? They were signs but Silas always thought she was joking and he never had the balls to say anything himself for fear of rejection. He felt bad for thinking it but even in their situation, he was probably the happiest person in the world. There were no other words to describe how he felt. He was still in disbelief that she liked him back. He had to keep repeating it over and over in his head. Hanna, a wonderful and beautiful person, liked him, a goofy, immature and lazy student. She could do better but she picked him. He always vowed if this day came he would never do anything to screw it up. He could only hope he could keep that promise to himself. "I just..I can't believe it. All this time..." he whispered, putting a hand to her face. If it wasn't for everything else that was going on, this moment would have been perfect. It reminded him that even through the worst of times there was always a light shining somewhere and Hanna was his light, who shone brightly for him. She began to explain why she told him and while he understood he didn't want her to think of the 'what if' scenarios. "Don't think like that. We'll make. I promise," he said softly, wrapping her in another hug. He stroked her hair and rested his head on hers. They had to make it out. They wasted so much time that he the few hugs and the one kiss they shared wasn't enough. They had so much to do now that they were official. He could already see them, walking hand in hand to class and him bragging to his friends how great she was. "That might have been our first kiss but it definitely won't be our last." |

Hanna watched Silas, feeling a blush cover her small cheeks as one of his hands held her face. She smiled softly to him leaning close, pressing her forehead to his. Feeling him wrap her into another tight hug, she cuddled into him feeling her body start to tingle with excitement and happiness. She could hardly believe he liked her back, she still wondered about Winnie but right now she couldn't care less. He was hers now. She liked him, he liked her, and it was as simple as that. She blushed at his words once more, grinning then leaning up and pressing her lips to his in a soft, meaningful kiss. As she pulled away, she linked her hands with his stepping back and playing with them for just a moment. "Definitely not Silas" She would have been more playful if they were alone inside on a night where nothing had happened. She heard people calling for help, as she listened out. The monster must have gone; she pulled Silas along to the main grounds seeing bodies everywhere. She gasped turning to where Silas was hiding her face in his chest. |

"Don't you think I feel the same way?!" Danny snapped, scrunching her eyes shut. "If you died I would too, Jack!" She ran a hand through her hair, pain shooting through it. The action felt comforting though, another one of her idiosyncrasies. It reminded her that they were in the present and that it wasn't another nightmare. Although a nightmare would have been better. Anything would have been better than the hellish environment they were experiencing. Danny didn't quite understand what was going on. How had a day that was supposed to be filled with quidditch, candy, and costumes go so horribly wrong? Was there anyone who had enough evil in their body to kill? It was beyond Danny's comprehension. Jack's presence was soothing to her and although she wanted nothing more than for him to get to safety, she knew he was the one thing keeping her calm. Part of her feared that if she was to lose her cool she would begin speaking in parseltongue while the other part knew that she didn't have to lose her cool for that to happen. Still, Jack's being there was a beacon of hope for Danny. It made her believe that Hogwarts would be able to make it through this 'battle' of sorts. Suddenly, water began following the fiendfyre as if it had a will of it's own. Danny's stomach knotted as it came within inches of the fire tiger before crashing down with a splash. It must of have been an advanced attempt at aguamenti, she reasoned. That was the only explanation. As if spooked by the fire, the beast crashed into the castle with a crackly roar. "That's my girl." Danny couldn't help it. She threw her arms around Jack, enveloping him in a hug. They were alright. The fight was over. Suddenly, a groan echoed through the grounds, the sound overlapping the screams and moans of the dying. Pulling herself away from Jack she watched in horror as a quidditch stand fell with a crash. Could the beast still be outside? Although her hands burned, she gently took one of Jack's. Danny swore that the gesture was purely platonic and purely because they were in a life or death situation. However, she still felt the familiar butterflies and the pang in her stomach. "If Hogwarts is going down," She said softly, "I want to go down with you. You're my best friend. It only seems right that if it-" Her voice broke, "If it ends, it ends with you." Somehow she knew it would always end with Jack. Edited by Daniela O'Connor, Jan 22 2011, 07:15:49 PM.

The courage Mary just had was steadily declining the more she realized she still hadn't seen Winnie yet. If she wasn't trying to avoid attracting the attention of the fiendfyre she would have been screaming out her name trying to find her. The smog seemed to be getting worse and Mary found it hard to breath, wheezing with every step. At the same time, Mary's head was filled with thoughts of the worst possibilities concerning Winnie. Surely she must've found Paton or Toby. They would have taken care of her, at least that's what she kept telling herself. Most of the smoke disappeared as the fiendfyre made its way to the Quidditch Pitch. Mary took this opportunity to continue her search for Winnie. "Winnie! Winnie, where are you," she cried but realizing it was too loud to hear anything over the roaring flames. She doubted that Winnie would be able to hear her even if she was nearby. Finally, Mary caught sight of Toby and ran over to him. "Toby, have you seen Winnie? I haven't seen her since we left the changing room and I still can't find her," she said, worry in her voice. She looked around once more and her eyes widened in relief. She only got a quick glance of Winnie from the back, but Mary could tell the long blonde hair belonged to her. She guessed that the other figure was Paton but…were they headed towards the forest? What were they doing..? "Toby…I'll be right back," she said distractedly. In a curious and dazed manner, she walked towards the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. |

Total chaos was before Athena as she stepped out of the castle. Bloody hell, she just came out of the meeting and the reality of what they were talking about in the meeting was already in front of her! Athena muttered to herself and ran to where everyone was. Taking out her wand as she ran, she was already thinking of the possibilities of what might happen to all the people she cared for. William, his sister Winnie, Beth, Jack... Oh she needed to stop herself from thinking about negative things. As she arrived, many people were already hurt, panicking, and scared. Before the beast could disappear, Athena saw it for a second. She was in grave danger. Everyone was in grave danger and she knew that. But if she chased it and kill it... She probably got the skills but not the techinique... But before she could decide, she saw Winnie going after it. 'No,Winnie, no!' she shouted after the girl who was now disappearing from her view. What would she tell Will? That she had let his sister ran away? What if she get injured or something. Athena decided to follow when suddenly she saw her friend, Francis, fall down. She ran towards him and got to him as soon as he fell to the ground. 'Oh no Francis...' She stared down to his hand and saw that it was burnt. Immediately, Athena incantated charm spells to cure his hand. She wasn't very bad at curing; hopefully it would gt better. Apart from that, she didn't know what to do. 'Help! Somebody help us!' She wanted to find Will but she didn't know if she should leave Francis unattended. Looking around, she couldn't find anyone but people helping each other. Then something caught Athena's eyes. Beth. Beth just fell. Beth. It registered to her that her best friend just got hurt. Without hesitating, Athena ran to her. 'Sorry Francis...' 'Beth... Oh my gosh...' Athena could see the damage. She searched for help again but instead she saw Jack with a girl. Daniela she thought her name was. 'Jack! Please, help us.' Athena called over. She didn't know what to do; where should she go? |
