| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Jordanna sat in the shadows of the forbidden forest, hidden from view, carefully watching the path that lead to the quidditch pitch. She sat, patiently, waiting for her first round of victims to leave the doors of the castle and make their way to the match. Although Jordanna had already been initiated into the Squires of Walpurgis, tonight was a night for her to prove herself yet again, and she would show her competition that a single death was paltry in the eyes of the Dark Lord. No, Jordanna had far greater things planned. She sat, patiently, waiting for the crowd to leave the castle so she could wreak havoc in the Dark Lord's name. |

Walking out of the castle and into the grounds, Francis wore the biggest smile on his face that could possibly have at that moment. He had just painted many people in the hall, getting to work on his skills and create memories for some new friends. He had danced with his good, and pretty, friend Winnie and managed to dance with Ana, his current crush. He and Laine had the best of times; he couldn't be in a better mood. Glancing around the grounds, he saw no one was around. Striding gracefully, Francis held his sketch pad and pencil close. His plan was to draw the match, he knew this would be a challenge but it was one he wanted to face and overcome. This would make him a better artist, in his eyes at least. As he walked forward, he felt a small shiver run down his spine. His pace quickened. He looked to the sky, the sun was beginning to set casting shadows around the area. Francis gulped. Being outside when it was getting dark and being alone wasn't his ideal situation. But he continued to walk, hoping to meet some friends in the stands or get a chance to sketch the Quidditch pitch before the match. |

Sommer walked out of the castle's entrance, really haven't the heart to be out here this late. She saw a boy walk alone several paces before her, but that didn't do good for the young Hufflepuff girl. The Halloween festival didn't excite her just the same, maybe because half the night she spent the entire evening watching everyone else have fun and not get into the mood of socializing. Gathering up her robes, as it drag right behind she manage to hurry up to the boy, who felt the coming night felt ominously around them. Perhaps he was scared too. "Francis?, What are you doing out here alone?" she put a name to his face immediately from of course class and being about the castle. It wasn't difficult to know someone name eventually after several years of attending the same school. "Couldn't wait for anyone to be out here with you? I'm not liking the night but I didn't know who else to go with today's match" her robes drag some more, slipping away from her frail fingers. She needed a bigger grip than this if she didn't want to end up falling right on her robes. |

Laine had sprinted all the way down from the Gryffindor Common Room. The first match of the Quidditch Season couldn't be more exciting if the players all wore matching lion hats. Ginny would steal the show, of course. Weasley's were known to do that. In her excitement, Laine had flung herself out the large castle doors and onto the grounds. No, she didn't pause to think as she ran with all her might towards the pitch. Her feet wandered too close to the Forbidden Forest, perhaps to their own accord. Laine found herself tripping over the nearest tree root and flying out over the grounds. With a thump, she landed sprawled-eagle in front of a dark patch of the forest. "Ow!" Of all clever puns available in the situation, Laine had only the wit to think of that. The moment had passed. With a dramatic sigh, the Gryffindor slowly pulled herself up from her unarmed position. Instead of moving to sprint towards the pitch, she plopped herself on the fat ground and examined her arms for any cuts or bruises. OOC: I can't write today, >_< But a post is a post, of course, of course. Unless, of course it isn't a post. Then it's something else, of course. Revised parody of a Horse is a Horse. |

John casually strolled through the grounds John made his way through the grounds towards the Quidditch Pitch. He ignored students who looked at him. Some chatted in their groups behind cupped hands. John ignored them, he was making his way to watch Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff, and by tonight, John hoped they would be talking about the prank John and Jack had instore for Henry. On the subject of Henry, moreover, about Jack, John decided to stop in to the Gryffindor change rooms before the match. John broke off from the throng of students heading towards the Quidditch pitch, and John marched to the Gryffindor change rooms. John exited the grounds. |

Francis turned around, almost jumping out his skin as he heard a voice call his name. Sighing with relief, he smiled and looked to the Hufflepuff girl. He had classes with her, and they had been at the school for around six years! "Hey Sommer, just ended up skipping out here" He explained, laughing at himself then smiling to her. The Grounds didn't seem such a dark and scary places with someone else by his side. He watched her then smiled, clutching his sketchpad harder against his chest. "I just wanted to get a good seat for the match, I want to draw the players" He explained looking forward and slowly walking with her. He liked having someone to walk with, it could create convocation and it would be fun for him. Why wouldn't he like it? |

Against his better judgment, Alistair had exited the castle, without a proper coat. Alistair winced a bit as the cold air struck him for the first time and for a moment he felt as though sitting through a Quidditch game was not the best thing for him right now. He'd no doubt freeze his Rastafarian nay nays off. Though the thought didn't stop him from walking leisurely across the grounds in the direction he presumed would lead him to the Quidditch pitch. All that aside, he was wearing a coat, it just wasn't a warm one. He could vaguely make out a group of students ahead of him, and would follow them. Not so difficult. Alistair doubted if there would be anyone outside not going to the Quidditch ptich. Though he found himself lagging behind the group. He didn't really want to run and catch up with them, because he wasn't sure who they were. In his experience, going up to people you didn't know could turn out bad, so he would chill by himself for the time being. Unless, perchance, somebody felt like interacting with him. Quietly he stuffed his hands into his pockets, in a vain attempt to keep them warm. |

More students emerged out of the castle, although while Sommer played catch up with Frances. In a second she was falling in the same stride as him, than they slower their pace now that the grounds suddenly didn't seem eerie. Still, Sommer could sense something, something in the air that didn't suited the puff well. Maybe because she always told herself she felt more connected to the earth than some people, again that just Indian sayings when she thought in that way. "Well that's good Frances, Hope you get a good seat than" she felt her black boots dig into the earth's gravel. She heard a noise coming from the edge of the forest, the girl's golden hues search in that direction. "Did you hear that or is that just me?" she asked Frances, but smile, no worries in her eyes showed she wasn't afraid. She didn't want Frances to think she was afraid of the night, or that just about everything she hears freaks her out. Turning around to see if it came from another direction, Sommer spotted Allastor and waved. "Hey Alistair!", okay now it feels safe. Taking in a deep breath, she kept moving towards the pitch. "I'm just over reacting its nothing. I just feel like something watching us? Oh well, you should really show me your drawings when your done!" Jordanna sat in silence as more and more students poured out of the castle doors and towards the quidditch pitch. She eyed each person, some of whom she recognized, but not a single shred of mercy or doubt existed in her mind. Her devotion was far more potent than mere human emotion such as guilt or humanity. No, Jordanna was determined to end the lives of the innocent in the name of Azariah Amaranth. Taking a deep breath, Jordanna stood from her hiding place, still hidden from view, however, to passers by. She looked down at her wand and admired it in her hands, feeling its smooth, elder handle, which housed the long, ivy shaft. In her mind, she visualized a night almost three years ago, when the redcaps had invaded the Hogwarts ground in this very area, and she cast the very same spell that she was about to cast, resulting in the death of most of the redcaps and the injury of many students and bewildered ministry members. Tonight, she would repeat those actions, but tonight she was out for human blood. "Exurohostes!" Jordanna said under her breath, and in an instant, a great being of malevolent fire burst from the tip of her wand, taking the shape of a fiery tiger. The beast roared like a predator on the hunt, and in the blink of an eye, took off towards the students following the path to the quidditch pitch. Laughing to herself, Jordanna disappeared back into the shadows of the forest and waited for the carnage to unfold. OOC: Remember, fiendfyre is extremely dangerous and cannot be put out by simple means (water spells, etc). I don't need anyone to die, but if anyone wants to be burned in the fire that the beast leaves behind it would be appreciated (again, does not have to be permanent; the nurse can fix up burns easily, no matter how severe). I will RP the beast if anyone wants to get involved.

"Come on Winnie. I'm gonna be late," exclaimed Marion as she ran out on the path to the Quidditch Field. When she actually thought about it, she realized she didn't know why she was dragging Winnie along as it wasn't her who was actually on the team. Still she was nervous for her first match since joining the team. "I'm so nervous! I hope I do good but I'll try to look for in the crowd!" She was practically skipping she was so happy. When she thought about it she couldn't remember the last time she felt like this. She wondered if it was the Feast that put her in a good mood but decided it was just the match she was looking forward too. She just hoped that she was looking for Winnie she wouldn't end up finding her brother instead. That would be catastrophic for the team. Mary would probably just fall right off her broom. All of a sudden she started to get nervous when she heard a strange noise. Her skipping stopped when she turned to see what was the source and found a fire monster in the shape of a tiger chasing after students. A joke was her first thought but the screams of students told her it wasn't that. What was going on...who did this, she thought. This wasn't really happening was it? Maybe it was Gryffindor trying to be funny, after all their mascot was a lion. Where were the teachers, surely one of them could put it out. "Winnie...what's going..." she asked hesitantly, surprised that her voice was cracking. |

Danny entered the grounds, running breathlessly in the direction of the pitch. She was so screwed. It wasn't like her to oversleep, yet here she was, sprinting to get to the match on time. Suddenly, she stopped. Something wasn't right. People were screaming, and not in festivity. People were screaming in fear. Danny flinched as her eyes scanned the pitch, desperately searching for the source of the screams. If there were snakes involved she would run, Danny decided. There was no way she was dealing with snakes. A panicked first year flew into her and Danny felt the air leave her. Taking in shaky breaths, she grasped the girl by the shoulders. "I need you to calm down and tell me what's happening." Danny wheezed, staring intently at her. There was something so wrong with how this little girl looked. It was as if she had just seen the very depths of hell itself. "F-fire m-mo-monster!" She shrieked and Danny winced. The girl wrenched herself out of Danny's grasp before running off to the castle. Fire monster? Suddenly, she saw it. A massive ball of fire in the shape of a tiger. Her eyes widened, before she turned and ran towards the changeroom. She had to warn someone. Anyone. People were going to die if this thing wasn't stopped. |

Marion was keeping up a pace Winnie was struggling to match and she rushed after her as they entered the grounds. Winnie was only coming along to be supportive for Mary in her first match tonight. She knew how anxious her friend was about it. Who wouldn't be? "I'm sure you'll do," Winnie began, taking in another breath, "wonderfully." Winnie was out of breath and she cursed herself for being so out of shape. Still, she managed to keep up Marion's pace until both of them stopped dead in their tracks hearing shrill screams around them. Winifred's heart beat quickened as she spun in a circle and searched for the cause of all the ruckus. Her hazel eyes landed on a fiery lion and her breath caught in her throat as she reached for Marion's arm, grabbing hold of it in fear. Winnie heard the uncertainty in Marion's voice and she swallowed hard hoping the scene in front of her wasn't what she thought it was. "I... I don't know," Winnie answered quietly, trying to not let her fear take over and drown out her senses. She noticed Francis in the distance and wanted to ask him what was going on, but her fear prevented her from moving any closer. Edited by Winnie Anderson, Jan 19 2011, 08:33:05 PM.

Sandy walked out onto the grounds, a smile on her face. Hufflepuff was having the first Quidditch match of the year, and it would be against Gryffindor. The girl had changed from her Minnie Mouse ouffit earlier into something with a little more 'Puff pride. The girl was now wearing a banana yellow dress that had been a gift from her sister earlier that year. It was short, so she was wearing tights under it with a pair of grey flats. This was all, of course, underneath an off-white jacket that she was wearing. Or, er, was supposed to be wearing. Instead it hung over her lower arm, as she didn't really see a reason to be wearing it right then. She should have been wearing robes like everybody else.. but Sandy wasn't everybody else. As Sandy walked to the pitch, she saw a bright blaze ahead of her and rolled her eyes. It was probably some stupid seventh year Gryffindor trying to pull a prank. Puh-lease. The whole "pretend somethings on fire at a Quidditch match" thing was so old. Not that she had ever seen it before.. but it was still juvenile. So the girl paid no attention to the scene that was playing out about twenty-fifty feet ahead of her. Until she got there, that was. There was a large tiger made of fire parading around, destroying everything in its path and catching everything on fire. Internally, Cassandra was freaking out. Externally.. she probably looked really frightened. Her arms clung on to her jacket and she started to pull it on when she heard some screaming from some younger girls around her. Sandy whipped her head around to see what the girls were pointing at. They were pointing at.. something near her. A bush, maybe? It took Sandy a few seconds to realize that they were pointing at her. When Cassandra had walked onto the grounds she had walked right next to a small plant that was on fire. Which had caught her dress on fire. Sandy wanted to scream. Or shout. Or yell. Or do something. But she didn't know what to do. All she knew was that she needed help. ooc : DUN WORRY, WILL'S GONNA SAVE HER. OR SOMETHING. |

William made his way out to the grounds as he adjusted his Gryffindor scarf around his neck. He was so relieved to finally be out of that ridiculous costume that Athena had suggested he should wear to the feast that she hadn't even come to. He now was dressed in his robes as usual and any signs of the earlier festivities had mostly disappeared within the student population. Now everyone's attention seemed to be focused on the upcoming match. Will had never been fond of Quidditch because of his father, but he had decided to attend the match anyway to support his house. He kind of hoped to avoid Athena for the rest of the night, but he knew that wasn't a good idea at the same time. Immediately shrieks caught the boy's attention and he quickened his pace towards where the noise was being emitted from. A blazing fire was in view after a few moments and after further analysis Will noticed that the fire was in the shape of a lion of all things. Things were catching on fire right around the lion and several students were frantically running about screaming their heads off. Will rolled his eyes as he watched several young attendees shrieking as loud as they possibly could as they rushed by him back towards the castle. He didn't blame them for running, it was just the screaming part that was getting on his nerves. Besides, Will never took anything as serious as it was anyway. That is until he saw Cassandra was on fire. Literally, the girls dress was on fire. Yes she was always on fire and hot and whatever other adjectives one could use but there were literally flames eating up the fabric of her dress. Once William realized what was going on he broke into a run towards and pulled out his wand, thinking fast. "Aquamenti," Will said with a flick of his wrist. Sandy would have to forgive him for getting her wet. It was better than her being toast. Then again, maybe she wouldn't forgive him because the water wasn't doing anything at all. Will tried the charm again and his eyes grew wide as he watched the fire spread rather then dissipate. The water he was casting from his wand was evaporating before even making contact with the flames. Edited by William Anderson, Jan 19 2011, 11:04:40 PM.

Sandy had no clue what was happening. Why would anybody set a tiger that was made of fire!!!!!!!! out among students? Why? Good lord, were they stupid? Like honestly.. really, stupid? Cassandra wanted to know. She wanted to find whoever had done this and beat them with a bat. Beat the stupidity right out of them. Sighing, the girl sucked in her cheeks and looked down at her dress. The fire was creeping its way not up her dress, but rather down, engulfing her tights and shoes. Cassandra kicked the gray flats off and into a nearby area that wasn't on fire (and hopefully wouldn't be soon), throwing her jacket on top of them. There had to be something she could do.. anything. When she was little and in muggle pre-school she had been told to do something.. like.. stop.. drop.. and something else. She couldn't remember what and since she had no clue what to do, that idea was useless. The blond girl bit back her tongue, trying her hardest not to cuss or scream. Sandy never cussed, but it looked very tempting at the moment. "Aquamenti," said a voice near her. Sandy's head whipped around and she saw Will. She saw water fly from his wand. She did not feel any water on her. "Will. Will. Why isn't the fire out. Will, why isn't the fire going out? It's f-f-f-fire. Water puts out fire, right?? Right??" The girl managed to get out, her voices pitch getting higher with each word. Cassandra looked down at her dress and legs, and she could feel the fire lick at her legs. It had been a few minutes and it had gotten to the point where it didn't hurt that much anymore, which was bad because she knew it should have. She knew she could have ripped off the bottom part and ripped holes in her leggings, but not only would that ruin her already ruined outfit, but she'd get burns on her hands. And the burns that would be sure to be on her legs were enough for her, she didn't need any more. ooc : it's sucky 4rlz Edited by Cassandra McKinney, Jan 19 2011, 11:14:00 PM.

William stared at the fire rapidly moving along Sandy's tights, swallowing hard and trying to figure out what was going on. Unfortunately the boy had no idea how to put the flames out if water didn't work and he looked up at Sandy's face with fear in his eyes for the first time that evening. "I don't think it's normal fire," Will responded, stating the obvious. He didn't dare go any closer because if he caught on fire then what would the two do? "Sandy, calm down, please," Will instructed urgently trying to decide what the best course of action was at this point. He felt like there should have been more he could do at that point, but nothing was coming to mind. The shrieks around him prevented him from concentrating anyway. It became obvious at that point that there was only one way to go about this and it required Sandy to go through more pain than she was already in. Will winced as he watched her, only imagining what she was going through. "Sandy. Sandy, please listen to me. You have to rip off the bottom part of you dress," Will said in a quick, urgent manner. He was working his hardest to be heard over the chaos taking place around them and he was as close as he could get without getting caught on fire as well. Will watched in horror as the flames spread only hoping that Cassandra would follow his instructions. Edited by William Anderson, Jan 19 2011, 11:29:54 PM.

John re-entered the grounds from the changerooms. All around him, John saw scenes of panic, a giant flaming tiger was burning up the grounds, chasing people around. Some students tried to put the fire out with the aquamenti charm. However, it didn't work. John knew why. "Stop, Aquamenti won't work" John yelled knowingly. "It's Fiendfyre, or cursed fire. Run, just run" John yelled at the students. He had read about Fiendfyre in a book, the cursed fire that took the shape of large creatures and multiplied and spread, destroying anything and everything in it's path. |

Amzi heard the commotion and burst into the grounds Amzi watched as students ran in panic away from the fiery tiger that burnt everything in it's path. A few students in Amzi's year tried to put out the fire with water, however, it didn't work. Amzi drew out his wand and charged towards the fiery beast. He was fearless. Running into the beast, Amzi yelled "Gusto" trying to blow the fire out. The large gust of wind merely increased the beasts ferocity. The tiger turned and faced Amzi, and Amzi, unflinchingly stared back. It was clear that the spell had done nothing more then to make the Tiger deadlier and more focussed on Amzi, instead of its contentment to destroy everything in the grounds. The tiger bounded towards Amzi, the grass along the ground burnt as the tiger touched it. In a final act of desperation, Amzi yelled "Protego" and his shield charm surrounded Amzi in what he thought would be a protective bubble. However, the tiger easily broke through the shield. It was becoming more and more evident that the tiger was not a simple jinx. Amzi could do nothing more then accept the oncoming death. The tiger leaped one final time and landed on Amzi, it's flaming paws burning through his chest. Amzi was determined not to scream. It would all be over soon, he thought to himself. There was nothing anyone could do. The flames and fire ripped through Amzi's body. His eyes slowly closed and faded into the blackness. Amzi hit the ground, and all that remained was his charred body. AMZI BEN LEV IS DEAD! MAKE NO MISTAKE HE IS DEAD. DEAD AS A DOORNAIL! Edited by Amzi Ben Lev, Jan 20 2011, 12:17:50 AM.

"Clear out, don't go too close" John yelled out to some of the younger students, some of whom were transfixed by the giant fiery tiger. However, as John turned he realized that not all the students were looking at the tiger. They were watching Amzi, who had caught the attention of the tiger and it was now charging for him. John watched helplessly as Amzi tried to use a shield charm to defend himself. The Tiger broke through the shield far too easily and lunged at Amzi. At the touch of the fiery paws on Amzi's chest, Amzi burned, his body fell to the ground and nothing but his charred remains were left. John quickly turned, he ushered some of the smaller students back towards the castle. He headed back towards the change rooms. If Danny hadn't calmed down yet, they would have no idea what was going on outside. John exited the grounds into the changerooms. |

Sixth Year & Hufflepuff Chaser

For Mary it seemed as if everything was moving in slow motion. Just like in the movies when someone was in the middle of chaos. Was that how everyone else felt right now? First and second years were rushing past her, screaming in terror while Mary just stood there frozen. Some even bumped into but she just stood still. This was just some prank that got out of control right? This thought and others were floating around in her head yet she couldn't bring herself to believe them. She had a feeling there was something else going on. Maybe this is a distraction, she thought. No, it couldn't be. Whoever had done this must've known about the match where everyone would be. If they were looking for something or avoiding attention this would not be the way to do it. Where were the rest of the teams? Did they know what was going on? Without thinking Mary started running, avoiding the fire creature at any cost. Should she yell to Winnie what she was doing or would that only put unwanted attention on themselves. She decided to alert her friend, who could at least come with and possibly find help. "Winnie! Come on! We have to warn the team," Mary shouted, as she rushed towards the Hufflepuff changing room. |
