Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

This is a repost of the quidditch sign up thread that I originally posted for year six. Because of certain plot reasons, the quidditch season is going to be canceled. However, right now in the RP, the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff teams are getting ready to play, but the game is going to be interrupted before it can start. With that said, I am still interested in maintaining the quidditch roster. Being on the quidditch team will give you access to certain plot devices (like going out onto the pitch and practicing with the team), as well as open up the avenues of your character being known for being on the team and having a relationship with your fellow teammates. This means that being a member of the quidditch team will be purely ceremonial for year six. As such, I am interested in filling the teams for the time being with people who are active and will actively use the position in-character, either as a way to cement friendships with teammates or whatever else. I will be using this thread to collect applications for current and prospective quidditch team members. For all applicants, current and prospective: Quote: As a member of your house's quidditch team, you are given access to a wider variety of broom selections. Please read Which Broomstick's Complete and Comprehensive List of Brooms (click me!) for rules on broom selection. Your choice of broom does have an effect on the way you are able to role play your character during matches, and this will be monitored. With that said, we do watch for powerplaying and judge points based on how well you role play, so role playing within the restrictions of your broom is not necessarily a bad thing, and may even net you more points. Once you have read the Quidditch FAQ and chosen your broom, please post in this thread with the following: Name: Broom Choice: Post your broom choice here (any broom that is not marked with a red star). Broom choices are solely up to my discretion. Preferred Position: Please include your preferred position, even if you are not currently playing this position, but would like to. Secondary Position: Please include an alternate position that you would not mind playing if we are unable to accommodate your preference. Membership on the team will be distributed by length of membership on the site, post count, and overall activity. I will be choosing people who are active (very recently) and plan to be active for the remainder of year six. As you can see, there are some spots missing on the Hufflepuff and Slytherin quidditch teams, so please help me fill them up. I would prefer it if the characters that did apply were main characters whose names are easily recognizable, as this helps the immersion of the quidditch teams members being well known. No 10 post alternate characters please. As always, you may only have one characters on any one team at a time. And let me be clear: these spots are being filled because they were not filled prior to when the quidditch season was slated to start, so anyone added to the Slytherin team is essentially retconned onto the team and we pretend they were always a part of it. Openings on other teams due to deaths will not be reassigned to new people until it is relevant.

The only solution I can see is to have a predetermined result, with the 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th positions rotating every year. Or we could just let Gryffindor win it every year?
