Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

It was dark, and Eve could spot no one else wandering around the Grounds. She was finally alone, and it felt glorious. Being alone would only be topped by being with Harold Avery, but instead of wishing for his soft hand to be intertwined with her own, she gazed up at the stars hoping that tonight would turn around for the better. Perhaps Harry would attend the match and they would spend it next to one another, cheerfully jabbing the other and discussing the Quidditch match.

Regardless, she decided to think of other things. Would she go to the match? There really was no point to it. She was not one to enjoy such things by herself, and the common room was more preferable than hearing the screams of students and watching athletes chase after flying balls.

Silas walked on the Grounds to the spot he had been earlier that day. It was much darker than he thought and it only made it that much harder for him to find the quill he left behind. He crouched over, hoping it would help. It didn't. Finally he got down on all fours. It was better but the darkness was still a problem. Then he laughed and shook his head at himself while he pulled out his wand. He couldn't believe he forgot that he had magic right there with him to help him out. Even he couldn't believe how absent-minded he could be. "Lumos," he said, then stuck the wand in his mouth. Crawling, he began his search.

Not paying attention to anything above him, it wasn't long before he bumped into someone. He rubbed his head as he sat up on his knees. He mumbled something that was supposed to be "sorry" but since forgot about the wand in his mouth it sounded like gibberish. When he looked up, his mouth fell open and the wand fell out. It was Gweneve. He last saw her at the feast when she sat next to him and now here he was looking like a dog who just came back from retreiving a stick. He immediately stood up, picked up his wand and stared at her for awhile before realizing he should say something. "I'm so sor- sorry," he stuttered, "I wasn't looking where I was going. It's completely my fault. Are you ok? Did you get hurt?" He was talking so quickly, he would be surprised if he understood her. He wondered how he always managed to look like a complete idiot in front of her.

Thoughts of Harry went out the window when a wonderful distraction popped up out of nowhere. Silas Quentin was walking towards her, and she almost smiled as he lit up his wand and began to crawl around on the grass. She couldn't imagine it being all too pleasant, seeing as the nighttime dew had begun to settle upon the grass. She felt the wet droplets seeping through her socks already. As he inched closer, obviously unaware of her presence, Eve attempted to move out of the way. But, he was moving to fast, and the crawling ended with a hard bump against her pant clad legs. "Er." Which roughly translated into, I'm perfectly fine.

She was momentarily caught off guard. "Uh." Damn it. Eve closed her slightly parted mouth and swallowed before saying, "Yes. Quite sorry I got in your way, there. Are you okay, then?" She felt funny around him.

"Oh, I'm fine, I'm fine. Are you sure you're ok," he said nervously as he eyed up where bumped her. There didn't seem to be any damage so he sighed in relief. He broke out into a smile while putting a hand on her shoulder. He stuck out his chest dramatically and placed his other hand on his side so that he resembled a super hero ready for a photo op. He looked at her with a cheesy expression, his eyebrows raised and put on his best fake deep voice, "Well, now that you've seen my imitation of a dog, I really have nothing else to impress you with. That is unless you want to see my act as a wild animal. It's a fan favorite."

Jokes were always Silas' fallback. Afraid to get serious and actually express his feelings, he hid behind jokes. He tended to use them to get out of awkward situations as well when need be. It was something he was good at, yet a problem when others weren't joking around.

Still it made him feel better, until he realized he still had his hand on her shoulder. He quickly took it off, embarrassed. After all, he didn't know her that well or how she felt about a someone she didn't know touching her. It was the second time he invaded her personal space in a matter of minutes. Smooth, he though, real smooth.

Eve nodded. "Yes, it was only a tap." His smile was contagious, for although she felt incredibly strange in his presence, a small smile still stayed plastered upon her lips. She met his eyes once again, wondering why on earth she would feel so weird around him when she felt the same thing for Harry. Perhaps it was because they rarely saw each other. Harold was in another house, and his House felt that studying was a main concern above many other things. She couldn't underestimate Harold like that, however. He spent time with Eve... just not enough. She wouldn't whine and complain about it to him, instead she had decided to keep it locked within. Being clingy was the weakness of many girls her age, and she refused to be looped up with the rest of them.

Silas's hand felt nice. A little too nice. They barely knew one another, except for the occasional nod in the common room, but his dastardly good looks had already made her gape at him like a lovelorn ten year old. "I think I've seen that act in our common room parties." Jokes were good. Jokes calmed down the awkwardness of the situation... but Eve was a horrid joke maker. She never felt comfortable goofing around with her peers, which was noticed by many. Maybe that's why I have no friends.

Silas removed his hand, and she was half grateful and half disappointed. 'Are you looking for something?"

Once again, relief filled Silas as Eve replied with a joke. He strangely felt at ease being around her, yet reminded himself that he was sure she had a boyfriend. How could she not? One look at her and whatever Silas was doing stopped. He was always nervous around girls, but it was different with her. He couldn't explain why but he never had the guts to say anything to her of all people. He figured he would never stop staring and freaking her out was not the best way to get to know her. Besides that she had someone else, he also had someone...sorta. He had Hanna, whatever was going on with them. Still, there was no telling what would happen if they all happened to be in the same room at the same time. His head might explode. Granted they were all at the feast, but if Hanna hadn't been mad at him, he could guarantee his attention would been at Eve.

When she asked if he was looking for something, he wanted to crack a joke but couldn't come up with anything other than 'a reason to stop staring'. But again, he was trying not to creep her out. "Well, it's kind of silly," he said, "It's just a quill, but it was a gift from my parents. I was sure I left it here somewhere." He didn't think it would be that hard to find as he started to scan the ground again. It had a gold coating with feathers tinted red for his House. He couldn't help but feel that she probably thought it was ridiculous to want to find something so replaceable. He probably would too if he wasn't himself, but he was and to him family meant everything, especially gifts. Even if it was just a quill.

Eve looked at him kindly. She knew how he was feeling right now. A few months ago she had lost a bracelet given to her by Ashes, her little sister. She had scoured the common room, finally finding it under a stack of blankets that the House Elves had placed upon the Gryffindor Girls table in their dorm. After an hour of searching and finally finding the treasure she suddenly realized that, Hey! I'm a witch with a fully working wand, and I could have used Accio to solve this particular problem. Hoping that Silas would not think her a know it all, Eve took out her wand and said, "Accio Silas's Quill!" The quill zoomed towards the girl, and she caught it with a quick flick of her fingers.

"It's not silly if it's important to you." Gweneve assured him, handing over the quill. "Perhaps it fell out of your bag when you were acting like a wild animal?" She smiled mischieveously, hoping to make him laugh. He seemed to have had a falling out with that girl at the Gryffindor table, and although Silas now seemed perfectly fine, she wondered if he was still worrying about what happened at the Feast. Eve almost wanted to comment on it, but it was absolutely none of her business. Instead, she continued to keep eye contact and carry on a casual conversation that did not involve Harry or the Gryffindor girl.

Silas felt like a complete idiot as he completely forgot about magic again. He took the quill sheepishly and hoped his face wasn't red from It seemed like Silas was destined to make a fool of himself in front of her. He was glad that she lightly teased him about it. It made him feel like less of an idiot as he laughed at her teasing. Instead of wanting to crawl in a hole and die of embarrassment, she made him feel better. Different actually. Something he didn't know how to deal with. So instead of thinking about the lingering feeling, he made jokes and pretended it wasn't there.

"You're probably right. I get a little carried away sometimes," he said, looking at her slyly, "There's just an inner animal in me that's dying to get out." As he spoke to her, he couldn't help but want to something... well almost animal like. For the tiniest moment, he imaginged them. Together. In the grass. Kissing and holding each other, doing things they shouldn't be doing. Things he should be thinking about, he thought as he shook the ideas from his head. It was so unlike him to think like that. Yet at the same time he wondered what it would be like to hold her hand, to stroke her cheek, and her lips... Again, he was getting carried away with himself. "Well actually there's a lot trying to get out. Like bad jokes, secrets and some coughs every now and then. But I mean, I can't give away everything in one night. You'll just have to keep coming around to get the best of Silas," he said jokingly, hoping to ease the tension. But mostly it was to calm himself.

Eve inwardly shuddered. The cool breeze swept across her bare arms, and she was ponderous to whether it was his words or the night air that caused goosebumps to rise upon her skin. "You should unleash your wild side, then." Her eyes flashed almost seductively, and her voice had turned husky. This was entirely different than her romantic moments with Harold. With him she felt warm, bubbly, and light. It was a calm sort of feeling, where they both felt incredibly comfortable with the other, and Eve loved it... enjoyed it... but right now she felt something different with Silas. Calmness was not what she felt, instead there was intensity in place of the warmth, and fire had completely taken over the lightness.

For a brief moment she felt an urge to reach out and press her lips against his own. "I need to go." Eve blurted out, shaking herself from thoughts that could be the end of her and Harold if he ever found them out. She swept past him, wisely not looking at his expression and walked towards the castle.. I am a stupid... stupid girl. What the hell am I doing?" She was playing with matches, and completely unprepared for the fire that would spread if lit. I need to find Harold.

Distracted by the flirtatious tone, Silas was dumbfounded when one minute Eve was teasing and the next she was walking away from him. Before he could even think about shouting something, she was already gone. He sat on the nearest bench, critizing himself for being so ridiculous. She had been laughing at his jokes, he should've stopped there. Why did he go so far as to flirt with her?

Frustrated, Silas determined he would forget what happened here tonight. Forget what they said, forget out they acted, forget her. Pretending not to know her would only benefit both of them, right? Either way, Silas was somewhat mad and confused as he stood up and walked toward the castle.

Anya wandered onto the grounds, happy to see that the sun had fully disappeared over the lake now, and the moon was rising to take its place. The dark was a phenomenon very few preffered to light, but Anya had a peculiar liking for it. She was fond of the night; not in the way a vampire might fancy it, although her skin was growing obnoxiously pale as winter grew nearer. No, Anya simply liked the anonymity that the black evening sky offered, much like one enormous invisibility cloak. She found it soothing to be hidden in the shadows.

On the flip side of reason, the frigid October air was not growing any warmer with the early sunsets. Anya's teeth were already chattering, but she dare not let it stop her from trudging toward the Quidditch pitch. Nothing was more pleasant than watching a Bludger punch a few Hufflepuff faces in, especially under the pitch lights.

As she passed over the grounds, her ears caught a rustling noise coming from behind. Though slightly disappointed, she figured it was another fan eager to see the Badgers be ripped to shreds. Much to her dismay, she knew even the dusk could not really keep her hidden.

Louis sauntered into the Grounds hoping to take a glimpse of something worth his while. Or at least something that'll humour him. Pandora was a pleasing and rather adorable young lady that he was quite well lucky to acquaint. The funny thing was that his monstrous brother brought them together in an unconventional manner. The same brother who has done nothing for him from the moment he was born. But now that he left Pandora to go fish for something less sober, he was left with in the deserted grounds. The moon rising to it's position in the sky and the burning sun long gone. It was only a matter of time before there was a party to celebrate the might Gryffindor's victory over the miserable Hufflepuffs.

His eyes scanned the area, hunting for company. He sighed is disappointment, as so far he had set his eyes on nothing human. His eyes halted to a feminine figure in the background, it was too dark to tell who it was but Louis intended to find out. "Loitering 'round the grounds are we?" Louis asked, approaching the figure with his hands deep in his pockets and a smugness about him. His eyes narrowed with a mild surprise as the silhouette he saw was none other than Anya Eden-Bedeaux. With another sigh he waited for a snappy retort to escape her lips.

Anya's brisk strides quickened as the sound of grass being crushed drew closer. Despite how much Anya appreciated the grounds' seclusion in the dark, the entire atmosphere was very eerie as she walked on her lonesome. She clearly wasn't afraid of the dark, and she had little sympathy for anyone that was, but Hogwarts was a sketchy place. It could have been anybody walking behind her - or anything. Hell, for all she knew it could have been a werewolf.

Pfft, there were no werewolves at Hogwarts.

But what was worse than a man-turned-beast? Oh, right, a Hufflepuff. God forbid it be one of those, she wished as she paced on. Before she could get much further, the rustling noise paired itself with a human voice, a boy's voice. Relieved that she was not being stalked by some night creature of her own imaginiation, she paused to check over her shoulder. The only light was coming from the rising moon, which looked to be full, but Anya could still distinguish the features of Louis de Valentine, a fellow Gryffindor.

Like Anya, Louis was quite unlike most Gryffindors. This most likely the reason she found him easy enough to get along with. "If this is loitering, I would love to see what you call productive," she said civilly. "Hello, Louis."

Louis half expected the girl to snap a retort and wave her hand to shoo him away. He had seen her do it on a daily basis to some unwanted visitors. But it seemed like she preferred being in his company rather than be all by her lonesome. He gave a faint, undetectable smile hidden in the looming darkness of the evening and swiftly moved a couple of meters closer. "Productive doesn't exist in my world darling," Louis pointed out, giving a flat smile as he crossed his arms with in a loose knot.

He wondered what drawn him into a crowd drought atmosphere. He could of been in the Great Hall enjoying the pumpkin juice and the wonderful costumes. But it seemed like he felt a need to change the scenery and now he was idly conversing with one of the head bitches in charge of Gryffindor. "Hello indeed..." Louis replied, staring into the sky with a boredom stricken expression.

"I thought you'd be diddling around Hogwarts with Piper," Louis asked, his thoughts averted back to his much hated ex-lover. Despite their strong dislike for each other, they found themselves in such situations which involved a private corner and a lot of snogging. He knew that Piper and Anya were friends, terrorizing the manhood of boys everywhere with their pinkies intertwined as they skipped along merrily with a silvery trail of destruction behind. Funny how people enjoyed leaving others high and dry.

Anya rose a brow at the comment, not quite sure whether to be amused, a little offended, or both. "Right, well.." she hummed. "I don't diddle. Especially not with Piper." Piper, along with Louis, was one of the few Gryffindors Anya could manage a civil conversation with every now and then, but their casual comradery could not yet be called friendship. It seemed Piper was merely a pawn for Anya's use in her femenist mind games. Plus, she had nice clothes, which could be useful. But, God, she was a Weasley. Did Anya honestly want to be affiliated with the name? The way Louis had paired the girls together so bitterly, Anya wasn't so sure.

He was one to talk. If anybody was doing any sort of 'diddling' with Piper, it was Louis, and Anya was well aware of this. "What about you, then, Louis? Been seeing much of Piper?" she asked smugly.

"Shame," Louis mused, erasing the exaggerated image of them being friends from his mind. He found it somewhat amusing though, how Anya found everyone to be mere acquaintances or just plain nothing. All her seemingly friends were just pawns. She could pass for a Slytherin. "Enden-Bedeaux, have you ever diddle with anyone?" Louis tested with an innocent smile. He wasn't so sure that Anya could smile at something funny that didn't involve someone's feelings being hurt. She was way too serious in his books.

"No, not really," Louis answered bluntly, his lips subtly curved on one side. "The last time I saw Piper was just before she shoved me into a broom closet. What we did in there, only God witnessed," he calmly added, saying the word God with a thick intent to mock. He wasn't ashamed that most people knew about Piper and his on and off relationships. Right now, they've been broken up for quite a while, although that didn't stop them from getting drunk and making out in the corner during parties. As much as he hated her, he only found their bad habits only too entertaining.

Once again, Anya was caught between two alternate feelings. Her initial reaction was to smile at the humour of the boy's question and his generally risque tone, but rather, she threw on a blank expression and folded her arms delicately over her chest. "It is not diddling when I do it," Anya answered firmly, not entirely sure what it meant to diddle or what she was reffering to at all, though she thought she had an idea.

"Actually, forget I asked," Anya snagged on to Louis's last word. Anya sure as hell did not want to know about his romantic life, whether it involved Piper or not. Now that the topic had crossed their lips, it was difficult to think of anything to slice through the tension. Anya stared up at the sky. Where the bloody hell was everybody else? The match would start soon.

"So you have diddled?" Louis asked, raising an eyebrow. He completely ignored the fact that she emphasized the word diddling. "I'm not sure if I should be amused or concerned," he added thoughtfully. A small smirk cracked between his bored looking face. Anya was someone you could never understand or read clearly, as you could never really tell which is her facade and which wasn't. That was the particular reason why he was, at times, rather intrigued by her. His intent was to subtly wriggle her out of her shell, like what he decided to do with Pandora. Comparing Pandora and Anya together, it made Anya look like she was easy to crack open.

He laughed quietly to himself. Before a small silence crept in and he gave a slight frown as he watched Anya looked away. "Are you enjoying yourself?" Louis looked up into the sky and asked dryly with his lips curved, referring to their short conversation. He wondered to himself how she would react if he somewhat riled her up. Well there was nothing else to do. Before waiting for another answer he admired the ruby eye of the ring he had placed on today and said," I thought myself to be rather entertaining.... maybe it's just your lack of conversational skills."

Anya Enden-Bedeaux always had such a poor sense of humor, as anyone knew. She was almost sure any normal person would have taken lightly to any of Louis's small jokes, but Anya was not amused. Not in the slightest. "You know what, you're absolutely right. It probably is.. er," she hesitated, attempting to rebound from being so blatantly insulted, and surely failing. By now, she had forgotten to care what Louis was thinking, and started worrying about the match. Both of them would miss the beginning if they didn't move along.

"See you in the stands, then," Anya said nonchalantly as they reached the Pitch entrance. "Perhaps, if you're lucky, I'll save you a seat." She tossed her hair over her shoulder, and disappered onto the Quidditch Pitch.

"Mmmm, see you later," Louis mumbled, his mind half in the real world, the other formulating muses. He watched as Anya moved into the Quidditch Pitch. Maybe a quick change of attire into something more red and gold-ish would pass the time. He pushed his hands behind his back as he made his way back up the castle.
