During Francis' sixth year, he makes many new friends who help shape his later life. His love for drawing and painting increases as he begins to make more friends, although his tendency to daydream all the time hasn't changed. He meets Sebastian Mercury during a Divination lesson at the start of the year. They become good friends after that which is the start of a strong friendship and a Bromance. He also becomes best friends with Laine Bailey, since they are so similar they get along instantly.
He also meets Ana Banana, he develops a crush on her drawing her whenever he can and using her as a model. However, this leads no where and after Halloween the two decide to just be friends rather than complicate things with a relationship. Francis doesn't feel ready for one.

In the time between Halloween and Christmas Day, Francis and Winnie begin to get close. Francis ends up having a crush on her, trying to impress her with drawings and trying hard studying so he doesn't seem like an idiot to her. On Christmas Day, he buys her a Christmas Presant and asks her to the Ball. She accepts and during the ball he asks her out which she accepts.

Ray, his supposed best friend, kissed Winnie when Francis had told him that he liked her. This ruins their friendship and his liking for Winnie. However during that day Matt and Francis kissed, Francis developed feelings for Matt but decides that girls are too bitchy and announces that he doesn't like them anymore.

On Valentines Day night, he wonders the castle being unable to sleep and ends up getting beaten up by Kyle Cox for no reason. Waking up in the Hospital ward with his sister looking after him. color=#80a0ff]Matt [/color]looks after Francis while he is in the hospital, during this time Matt flirts with Francis. Francis begins to get feelings for Matt and goes to Cossette for advice. After a good talk with her, Francis makes his feelings known to Matt hoping for the best. They end up getting together and stay together for the rest of the 6th Year.

Requested Ability: Wandless Magic (eventually)

Ability Specifics: This ability will allow Francis in the future to be able to use magic without the use of a wand. However, I would like this to be learnt through Francis' final years at Hogwarts rather than have him already learnt it. On Day 4 Francis will seek help from a Professor after a series of events where he has gotten mad or upset causing lights to flicker, bulbs to burst and objects to burst. But he will only begin to really grasp the concept of using magic without his wand at the beginning of seventh year which is when he would begin to learn spells which could help other people. He would learn how to move objects using his hands, cast defence spells and general spells such as colour change charms and hover charms. He would learn these skills through lessons with a specific professor which is yet to be decided taking a class once on each day showing how he progresses.

Plot Reasons:

The main reason I would like you to grant Francis this ability is to gain confidence. By learning wandless magic, Francis will be able to feel more comfortable casting magic spells and will let him see that there is a reason he has these powers. Before, he wasn't sure why he was magical and only thought that he gained these powers because his mother had these powers. He never thought that he would be able to grasp using magic, by realising how strong his magic actually is it shows Francis that he there is a reason he has this power.

He brings it upon himself to learn how to control this power, because he isn't doing as well in class he decides to try and learn an ability to help control the magic that escapes when he gets mad or upset. He hasn't noticed this power before because he is a happy sort of guy who doesn't usually get mad at anything. After reading up about what happened when he grew angry, he decides to seek the help of a professor who would help him in the art on wandless magic. It will help him gain confidence because he will let him trust himself more and give him the confidence to know the decisions he makes are the right ones for him. It will also help him talk to his peers because he will feel as if he now has something in common with them all giving him more reason to talk to them and be himself.

Through deciding on seeking help, he wouldn't initially tell anyone what he was doing. But if someone were to ask he would reveal what he was doing, he wouldn't hide that fact he was trying to improve on his magic. Some of the students around him may notice what is happening when he gets mad and because of this they may not want to talk to him. He will begin to learn how to use this once he finds a professor to tutor him which could hopefully be on Day 4. He will begin with learning small spells keeping to Wingardium Leviosa and spells which would teach him to levitate small objects or put defence spells around objects. His confidence will be noticed by Mitchell Kalvor, who begins to gain Francis' trust learning about his abilities and strength of his magic.

Mitchell Kalvor will begin to manipulate Francis once he has gained his trust, he will also notify the other Squires about this who will take part within trying to bring Francis over to the dark side. Because of Francis' kind nature, many students find it easy to talk to him and think he is just a sweet soul. The Squires will begin to realise this and decide he would be the perfect person who they could use for their own gain. They would begin to send Francis on dirty jobs which they would not want to do themselves. For example, they could send Francis to go and locate a certain student and bring them to the Squires. They could also get him to take out certain books and locate them; by using Francis they do not bring any suspicion on themselves and because Francis is gullible he won't question what ‘favours' he is doing for them and just think he is helping people which is what he is told.

In the end, Francis will begin to work out what is happened and be against it. He will be forced to do dirty work for them with the threat of him and his family being killed hanging in the balance. Mitchell would really start to see the extent of Francis' powers which is when he tries to bring him to the dark side. Francis will refuse and try to escape what has happened and work for the good side using what he has learnt from the start of sixth year.

Even though Francis will have learnt how to do wandless magic from Day 4, he will not know how to use all the spells and will not have mastered it enough to use it to an extent. But because he learnt how to focus on learning spells, he will be much better at using his wand and will be able to cast very helpful spells which would help defeat the dark side and help his fellow students.


Reasons You Should Be Granted This Ability:

Francis isn't the smartest person at Hogwarts not keeping much focus in lessons, I feel that if I give him something to focus on he can learn how to concentrate on other subjects.

He is usually in his own world which separates him from his fellow peers. Currently the only thing he can fully focus on is painting. By giving him something which he can progress and learn in which will keep his full interest it will help his character grow. I would like Francis to have something which he can concentrate on getting better with which will help fellow characters and give him more personality.

By also giving him this plot, it pushes Francis to see through the evil and realise how he can really help people and warn people of how they could be used for others gain.

It would also in the future give him a reason to come back to Hogwarts, if any student would wish to learn this ability he could give lessons and tell students how it helped him gain confidence and focus on something piratical which wouldn't involve learning facts and listening to a professor all lesson.
