| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? I was sitting being bored as hell, when I realized something: Wouldn't it be cool to have a plot similar the the show gossip girls? For those of you who have been living under a rock for, like, a million years, gossip girl is basically a website of sorts where an unknown person posts things about other people that then gets messaged to cell phones throughout school, where most things that are posted are supposed to stay secret. Students could send tips to gossip girl, too. So I was thinking, why don't we merge the idea of gossip girl into hirp? We could have a student be gossip girl, and then, through rumors that she and other students hear, gossip girl would then send out little paper birds that fly around with the message, delivering it to all the students! And the students could send in tips to gossip girl by...i dont know...writing on a stall in moaning myrtles bathroom?! lol jk. I don't know how this would work, but it can be figured out later, I guess. I would nominate Nicole to be gossip girl if this happened. Or maybe a group of girls? I don't know. But suggestions, anyone? |

So, I'm just a member - but this could be very...dramatic. Not really into the whole highschool drama thing, myself. But it could be fun. I don't think Nicole should be the gossip girl (Amera wouldn't want to date you if she found out...), but perhaps a Slytherin? OR EVEN A GUY. XD Also, this is HIRP, not GGIRP. Anyways, y'all can gossip about how hot Terry is. But please don't gossip about Amera being a werewolf. That's secret. Or elementiums...XD |

I kinda like it. I mean, I know it's not related to our overall site plot, but it's a ton of high school aged people all in one place. Something like this is bound to happen. And I agree it's a way to get into the plot for people who aren't as involved. You can pretty much plot whatever you want, Katie, as long as it's not powerplay or just overly ridiculous. |

I just nominated Nikki cause its kinda what she would do, if shes feeling really spiteful. But a slytherin would do it better. But I don't want to start anything if you guys disagree with it. EDIT: Nikki and Genesis doing it would make a great team. And Terry, Amera wouldn't know it was Nicole. If you do want to end their little thing in the future though, this would be how to do it

there could be a team of girls doing the birdie things, or Sylvia could just be on the lookout for potential blasts, depending on how into it you want her to be. Nikki, Genesis, and Sylvia would make a good team for it, I think.

I think the idea in itself is pretty good. But I also think that it is a Harry Potter site. Plus, it cannot be unrealistic. I think it would be better if say...not one of our characters was the gossiper. That way it avoids any powerplay and possible unrealism to the idea. But in itself, you'd have to really think it through. I don't think the in all fact that Sylvia would be a part of it Meghan, mostly because it just doesn't seem in her character. Maybe someone can have a seperate account just for that thing? And it can be like the Daily Prophert delivered each breakfast? Or maybe even you just say that something about your character was mentioned in this thing just for say, needing a secret to come out for a plot. So say like someone has an account called um...'Quick Notes Quill Reporter' (Highly stupid but it shouldn't be Gossip Girl...simply cos it's a Harry Potter site' and they write up things that people PM that account with. Or even someone could create Rita Skeeter or someone to that extend who is an adult but randomly finds entertainment in making a colomn in one of the newspapers about Hogwarts students. I don't know. Because even in Gossip Girl, it is a random person never revealed not even to simply the viewer. So it would be odd if it was actually a character that subconciously out of character we all knew who it was. And in Hogwarts, most people tend to stick to cliques, so if it was the same people written about constantly everyone would start guessing who it was. Or even maybe you could have say....two people from each house, be one. They have to be people that wouldn't get along usually, so it's kind of a secret club.
