Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Sandy made her way to an unused classroom on the main floor, checking to make sure it was unoccupied before heading inside. The room was full of tables and chairs and even had a chalkboard, just none of it was used.

She dusted off a table and took a seat on it, folding her legs over each other. For once she was wearing flats, not cowboy boots. The shoes went better with her homemade minnie mouse costume. Sandy was quite fond of the dress. It was one of the many her sister had left her before she headed off to college just a few weeks before Cassandra left for Ireland, and then for Hogwarts.

Her brown eyes twinkling, she looked down at the letter that had been sitting in her hands since she woke up that morning in the Hufflepuff Dungeon. The letter was another one of many things her sister, Erin, had given to her. In Sandy's eyes, the letter was more important than the dresses and the shoes and the earrings. Okay. Maybe not the shoes.

It was more important, though, because printed in a clear block print on the front was "Do not open until October 31st." And Sandy, although she wanted to tear the letter open the second she had received it, agreed.

So today was the day she was opening it. She knew it would be special. Cassandra closed her eyes, counted to three, and then opened her eyes and the letter. It was.. short. It was really short.

"What the f*ck." Sandy murmured, her eyes scanning her sister's type like writing.

"By the time you read this... I'm going to be married. I wish I could have told you. I wish I could have told anybody. His name is Neville, and he's amazing. He's french. And his sister is a witch, and his little brother is a wizard. That's why I couldn't tell anybody. You know how dad is..."

Sandy stopped reading the letter then. It was a bit longer, but still. A secret marriage? Didn't they stop doing those when William Shakespeare died? Cassandra did know how her father was.. but she also knew how Erin was, too. She didn't keep secrets. Especially huge ones like this.

Cassandra was confused. She was angry at her sister for not telling her. She was happy for her sister for finding somebody she loved. She wondered who her knew sister in-law? would be, especially since she was a witch. She wondered how her father was going to react when he found out. And how it would tear apart their family even more.

Sandy balled up the letter. She didn't want to read anymore. She was feeling a mix of things, and she didn't know which one was more overwhelming. Maybe it was the fact that she didn't care and all she wanted to do was go to breakfast and flirt with cute Gryffindor boys. Because in her opinion the guys in Hufflepuff kind of aren't that cute.

ooc : BIG POST THAT DOESN'T MAKE MUCH SENSE. so desiree + sandy are gonna be related somehow. I don't know how the whole in law thing works. but I needed something for her sister to write about, and this was all I could think of. I JUST WANTED THE POST TO INCLUDE A LETTER, OK.

Today was Halloween. William rolled his hazel eyes at the idea of it. Halloween was totally lame in his opinion, aside from the fact that some girls looked extremely attractive in their costumes, besides that it was a pointless day of festivity. He slowly walked through the corridors, not feeling like entering the Great Hall that morning and socializing. Danny and Jack were clearly an item now and he didn't really feel like going and watching the two. Will had had the biggest crush on Danny since the first day he'd laid eyes on her. But now that all seemed pretty pointless, he was no Jack after all.

Wondering aimlessly, he decided to find a room where he could just think. This longing was not a regular one for the Gryffindor, but today he just didn't feel like dealing with it all. His slow steps eventually brought him to the door of a classroom on the main floor. He glanced around him, before taking the handle in his hand and opening it carefully, entering the unused classroom.

William's eyes immediately shifted to a small, blonde girl sitting alone at a table. He had seen her before, he knew he had. A friend of his sister perhaps? He knew he should remember her. She was a very attractive girl and he had to admit, despite his pessimistic view on Halloween, she did look adorable in her costume. "Um. Hey," Will stammered. He hadn't expected to see anyone her at this time of day. "It's Cassandra, right?" Will asked, the name finally coming to him. "Mind if I take a seat?" Will questioned, closing the creaky door. As he moved a little closer to her, he took note of the confused expression on her face and the crumpled up paper in her hand, shooting her a curious look.

Sandy looked down at her dress. It was cute. It would have gone great with a good pair of black cowboy boots. Which, of course, she owned. But it wasn't very minnie-esque. The boots, not the dress. The most important thing about the dress was that it had been her sisters. Erin and Cassandra were close, they always had been. They were, after all, only two years apart. And blond. And they looked exactly alike. The only difference was that Sandy was a witch, and Erin wasn't. She always wondered why her gene pool had skipped her older and younger sisters. She was the only witch in her family, except for the people on her fathers side. But she wasn't allowed to talk to them, except for his parents.

Sandy didn't notice that she had been staring at the crumpled ball in her black and white polka-dot manicured hand until the door had started to creek open. She looked up and saw.. a boy. A cute boy. He was blond. And he looked familiar. "Hiya!" She grinned. She loved company. She needed company. "Cassandra, Cass, Cassie. They're all lovely names, but I prefer Sandy." The blond shrugged.

"Go ahead, all of the tables and chairs are available. Except for that one waaaaaaay in the corner. My friend Evan is sitting there," Sandy said, nodding her head as if she was being serious.

"You are ...William, right?" She asked, her lips pursing as if she was deep in thought. She wasn't too deep, though. As soon as she said the name she knew who he was. He was Winnie's brother. Winnie's cute brother.

Will cracked a grin at her bright response. He had not expected to be so kindly received as he had no idea why anyone would to an empty classroom other than to be alone. Will found, to his surprise, that he didn't mind having found someone already in the room. He supposed he didn't mind having her company. Though he couldn't pinpoint the exact reason why, her friendliness probably was a contributing factor.

The girl's voice was distinctly southern, it sounded odd to him. "Sandy," he repeated to himself so he would remember it in the future. It was a cute name, very fitting for the petite blond girl. "Pleasure to meet you, Sandy," William said to her with a bright smile, holding out his hand to shake hers. He was sure they'd met in passing before somewhere, but he couldn't remember actually ever talking to her. "Or is it to meet you again? My memory fails me," Will said.

William glanced around the room, raising an eyebrow as he pretended to scan it for this 'Evan'. "I'll make sure to avoid Evan," he responded seriously, taking a seat near Sandy.

"William or Will, whichever you prefer," he responded indifferently. Will had really never minded being called either way. His parents usually called him William and his sister usually called him Will. So, he was used to both names. "Where are you from, blondy?" He asked, raising an eyebrow curiously as he watched her. He decided he would ask about her earlier expression and the crumpled paper later... maybe. That had also peaked his curiosity, though that might seem a little nosy.

A grin spread over Sandy's lips. She wasn't alone. She had company. Cute company. Which meant she could write a howler to her unsuspecting sister later. For now she was distracted.

"Yupperdoodles, Sandy. Like Candy, except with an S instead of a C." She nodded. She could use some candy right now. Sandy loved sweets. Almost more than she loved shoes. But nothing could compare to her love for shoes. Not even candy.

"The pleasure is all mine, William." She grinned, shaking his hand. "It could be again.. but I could be wrong. I mean. I don't know. That's why I'm not a Ravenclaw," She said with a laugh. Sandy was probably one of the only people she knew who laughed at their own jokes. Because she knew she was funny. And when funny people speak, others laugh. So it's only natural that Sandy laugh at her own jokes.

"Good, Evan doesn't like being sat on. He's very sensitive." Sandy nodded, another laugh escaping her lips. She was just on a roll today.

"I like Will better. It's.. cute." Sandy said.

Just like him. Shut up! He's Winnie's brother!

"Where are you from, blondy?"

"Me?" Sandy asked, looking around the room as if anybody else had joined them. "I'm from America. Well, more specifically, Leweazyana." She said, exaggerating the name of her home state. She wondered what his reaction would be if she started talking in the Southern accent she worked so hard to get rid of during the two weeks before school started at her Grandparents house.

"What about you, other blondy? Where ya from?"

Will found he rather enjoyed the way she talked, her accent, and just the way she said things generally. She was a cute girl, personality-wise and her appearance as well. "Ah, I wasn't sure on that," he said to her clarification of the pronunciation of her name.

He laughed at her comment, Sandy was a very funny and entertaining girl. William liked the way she laughed and how she laughed at her own jokes. "Well I'm almost certain it would be near impossible to forget you," Will said. He hadn't really thought through the statement before he'd said it, but it was most definitely true. "You're in Hufflepuff, correct? A friend of Winifred?" It felt weird to call his sister by her full name. He normally called her NiNi just like he had when he was three years old. The name had just stuck. But Winnie hated it when he called her that in front of her friends.

William glanced over at the chair where Evan was supposedly sitting, laughing at the prospect of this imaginary person and in response to Sandy's laugh which he found to be rather contagious. "Well I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings," he responded, glancing back to the girl.

"Thank... you," Will responded in an unsure tone, but with a warm smile still on his face. "Sandy... is a very nice name too. It suits you," he added quickly.

So Cassandra was American. Though he had always wanted to go there, he had never gotten a chance and knew very little of the country. Her accent made him smile and he laughed at her exaggeration of the name. "Louisiana? You're far from home. What brings you to Hogwarts?" Will smiled. "I'm from here. London, that is."

"Well, I see how annoyed other people get when somebody pronounces their name wrong, even if they just told them and I don't want that to be me ever so I'm just like 'I'm Sandy, just like Candy only with an S.' And then if they still get it wrong I take off my boots and I slap them." Sandy said with an unserious grin.

A smile spread over her lips as he said it would be hard to forget her. "Well, it's damn near impossible to forget anybody. At least, it is for me." She shrugged. She could remember anybody, from anywhere. Except for rare occasions. Sandy could remember a face, but there are times where she can't remember a name. But that happens to everybody. It's not like she's some superhero who saves lives by remembering everybody's name and face.

It'd be pretty awesome if she was, though.

"Corectomundo, Willeth. 'Puff pride!" Cassandra grinned. "And I do know Winnie. She's your sister, right? You're a Gryffinroar, right?" She asked, as if it wasn't obvious by his robes and tie, since he wasn't in a costume.

Which was pretty bummer, but he was cute so it made up for the fact that he wasn't celebrating Halloween.

"Schmank ya." She said as he said her name suited her.

Sandy didn't realize how awkward she was acting. She really didn't care, either though. She was just being herself. And.. she was comfortable. Which was weird compared to the totally uncomfortable situation she had been in just moments ago.

She was kind of anticipating the 'you're far from home.' comment. Cassandra got it every time somebody found out she was from America. Most people said it in a snobby tone, like she wasn't good enough to be at Hogwarts just because she was from America. As if they, for some unbeknownst reason, were better than her because she was from another country.

But.. Will wasn't rude about it. Which totally shocked Sandy. She just played it off, though. Not saying or showing any sign of emotion that could lead to shock. "Well, when the guy from the ministry showed up at my house years ago, my Grandmother insisted that I go to Hogwarts since thats where the entire side of my fathers family went." Cassandra shrugged, emitting all of the ugly screaming and yelling from her tale.

"I've always wanted to go to London. The closest I've ever been was Ireland. Which isn't that close." A small twinkle arose in her eyes. He was British, just like most of the people at Hogwarts. But still. He was British.

That just made him all the more attractive.

"Well, if they were to get wrong they'd have to be pretty moronic so they'd probably deserve that... Now watch me say it wrong and be the object of your wrath," Will responded with a laugh. He was surprised by quickly his mood had changed from being a complete downer to being so comfortable and generally happy. The Hufflepuff seemed to send off some happy energy or something. William was glad she had lifted his spirits.

"You'll find I am very forgetful." Will said in return. That mostly when he wanted to be, though. If he really wanted to remember something he usually could, but most often he was indifferent so he didn't care to remember. "I mean if we ever... talk again... or, er. When we do," he began stammering awkwardly mentally slapping himself for even beginning to clarify his previous statement. Feeling stupid, he put on a grin to cover up his embarrassment.

It seemed like NiNi knew so many of her house mates. Whenever he was with her it seemed she mentioned a new name. Well, his sister was uncommonly friendly and sweet. "Yeah. We are twins, actually. We are practically telepathic," he said with a grin to show he wasn't actually being serious. The two had never been that close, though they were relatively close to each other. Will touched his tie absent-mindedly when she mentioned his house, thinking it must have been pretty obvious. "I am indeed." Will looked at her costume once more. "What are you supposed to be anyway?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Oh. Well Hogwarts is lucky to have you," Will said, being in a complimentary mood. "London is... well, London. It's rather boring to me after all these years. Personally, I'd like to visit America." William was restless. He had been in the same place far too long, and his father was practically driving him insane. He hated his son, or so Will took it.

"They would! And they do. Because I mean, I've repeated my name twice. And Sandy is not that hard to spell or say. It's like Sandy from Spongebob." Sandy said with a laugh, wondering if he knew of the old muggle tv show. Probably not, but it was a show she had enjoyed when she was younger about a talking sponge who lived under the sea. The air in the room had grown lighter. It was no longer a dreary, dust-filled classroom that Cassandra had entered to escape breakfast. It was more of a lovely, laughter-filled room now. She liked it.

"Everybody's forgetful. Except for me and my super memory. It doesn't come in handy when it comes to coursework, but when it comes to like.. remembering what shoes I wore the previous week, it works wonders." Shoes shoes shoes shoes shoes shoes and boys. That was pretty much all that inhabited Cassandra's mind. She didn't care about drama or school or her body image, just shoes shoes shoes more shoes and boys.

"We will definitely talk again. I will make sure of that." Sandy grinned, her eyes twinkling in amusement.

A laugh escaped her lips as he said that he and Winnie were practically telepathic. She didn't know why, it just did. "I wish I had a twin I could be telepathic with. It'd be like the whole freaky I know what you're thinking thing. That would be cool." Sandy nodded her head. Telepathy would be a cool superpower. Or just a power to have in general. Although in the Wizarding world they had an actual name for it and it was actually learnable. Not that Cassandra would ever ever try to learn legillmency. Too much of a hassle.

"I'm Minnie mouse! You know.. Mickey's girlfriend! Wait, I'm probably the only one in this room raised in the muggle world, aren't I?" Sandy realized with a laugh.

"She's a muggle mouse cartoon character. She's absolutely adorable. And I figured that since I'm adorable I might as well be the next adorable thing next to kittens and puppies. Minnie mouse!" She said with another laugh. Laughter was a big part of Sandy's lifestyle. She loved it. Every other sentence out of her mouth ended with a laugh. Which got everybody else laughing. And smiling. And feeling better. So naturally, Sandy loved it.

A grin spread over her lips as he said that Hogwarts was lucky to have her. "Well, why thank you, William."

"America is not as great as everybody makes it out to be. The people are jerks. But maybe I'm just a bit biased." She said with a shrug. She really didn't like America that much. At least not Louisiana. She wanted to live in Ireland with her grandparents, or at least near them. That was where she wanted to be.

William stared at her stupidly when she mentioned 'Sandy from Spongebob'. He had absolutely no idea what the girl was talking about. Was this some American thing that he wouldn't know about? "Sandy... from Spongebob?" he repeated slowly, scanning his memory for any memory of this name. "Doesn't ring a bell. Would you mind elaborating?" he asked, wearing a characteristic, amused expression.

Laughing again, Will stared at Sandy, trying to figure her out. "You have an uncommon love for shoes don't you?" Will could remember her saying something about shoes once or twice before during their conversation. Sandy seemed to just be herself and not care what he thought about her and he found that to be a very attractive trait in the blonde. "Well, I'm glad it is sufficient in aiding you there, then," Will didn't quite understand why anyone would need to remember what shoes they wore the previous week... maybe it was a girl thing he concluded.

Some expression resembling relief crossed William's face when she assured him they would talk again, though he was quick to cover it up. "Good," he responded in mock indifference, though it had already been made clear that he was happy with her statement. "I am rather enjoying your company," he added. Will supposed it was nice to have a sister with such wonderful and attractive friends.

Sandy's laughter again pierced the air and he found again he couldn't help but join in. "Well you could call us freaks, then," he said with a chuckle. "But it's not all it's cracked up to be," he said in fake seriousness, "sometimes you don't want to know what your twin is thinking."

"Again.. I'm not following. Oh. Yes that would explain it," Will said in return. He listened intently as she explained it and let out a laugh at her self-assured comment. She sure was adorable and he found it amusing that she even knew she was. "You know, your laugh is so contagious," Will added with a grin.

"Neither is London, I think everyone thinks that about where they grew up. It all just gets entirely too familiar after a while." It was to him, at least. Every time he went home it was the same thing over and over again. As soon as he got home he and his dad fought and it went on like that for days until he left. Summer holidays were practically torture.

"Spongebob is this show for your tv, telly, that started like.. twenty years ago. It's a cartoon about a talking sponge who lives under the sea. And he had a friend, who was a squirrel, named Sandy Cheeks." Cassandra explained with a grin. "It was a show I loved as a kid. It was pretty old, but you know. It's more of an american muggle thing, I think." Sandy said, thinking back to the times when she and Erin would watch the show every friday night, the twins would sit in their high chairs and throw food around and her parents didn't fight. This was before Sandy found out she was a witch. When things were good.

"I wouldn't call it uncommon, but yes I do. They're one of the only material thing I actually love. I mean, I like clothes as much as the next girl, but shoes oh my goodness. I absolutely adore cowboy boots." Cassandra nodded, noticing how much she talked. After a small debate in her head on whether or not this could be a positive thing, she just decided she didn't care. Because she didn't. She loved talking and laughing and smiling. She loved having not a care in the world. She loved being free to do whatever she pleased. Even though during these times, she wasn't exactly what one could call "free" - nobody was.

"I am rather enjoying your company,"

A large grin spread over Sandy's lips. "You are so sweet. You are sweeter than pumpkin pie. With ice cream on top. Can I keep you in my pocket forever?" She said with a laugh, traces of her accent coming back. The accent she had worked so hard to get rid of. Obviously, she couldn't. At least, not yet.

"Being a little freaky is awesome in my book. I love unique people." Cassandra shrugged, taking her hair out of the ponytail it had been in. Her blond curls fell around her face as he called her laughter contagious. "It's not just my laughter. It's laughter in general. It's like a disease. Except it's the kind you want to have." She said with a laugh.

"We're all kind of biased to our natural habitats." Cassandra paused to laugh a little at her wording. "We either love it or we hate it, or we just want to go somewhere else. But eventually we all, well usually, stay in one place. There's always something to draw us back. Wether it be a lover or a good friend or family. Always." Sandy said, quoting her grandfather from something he had said that summer in response to Sandy saying she'd like to live in Ireland. It had a bit of truth to it, Sandy could see it. She just didn't want to be one of those people. Being stuck in Louisiana forever was the most horrible thing that she could ever think of. That and never owning another pair of shoes.

William tilted his head to the side slightly as she explained the show 'Spongebob'. It sounded like the dumbest thing he had ever heard and yet it somehow sounded entertaining. "There are squirrels under the sea?" he questioned with an amused chuckle. It wasn't like anything he'd ever heard before. "Ah. That would explain it then," he responded. "My mother was a muggle, but she died during child birth. So Winnie and I were raised only by my father who is a wizard," explained Will, his expression suddenly growing more solemn. He didn't like to think about his mom or the fact that he had killed her. He thought he and Winnie were responsible, that is. Roland, his father, had convinced them of this.

Shopping and clothes and shoes were something Will would never understand about females. "NiNi used to....Winnie," he corrected, "used to drag me along shopping all the time. I find it to be one of the most boring tasks," Will responded with an exaggerated roll of his hazel eyes. That was just set in males and females. Most males hated shopping and usually girls loved it. There were always exceptions, but generally it seemed that was the way things were.

Will laughed at her compliment. She was so southern. It was adorable. Her accent made him smile every time, even though he could she worked to make it not as severe. It still came back at times, and he found he liked when it did. It was a very unusual thing to hear at Hogwarts. "Well, you put me in unusually good mood today. Before I came here the thought of having company was not appealing in the least," he admitted. She was perhaps the only exception to this rule. He wasn't normally described as 'sweet' it was just that she had a way about her that put him in such a mood.

Watching as her long, blond curls fell around her face he found he was staring at Sandy and quickly averted his eyes from her face. "I suppose that's true. Just not that many people laugh nearly as much as you do, I guess," he said. Will knew he hadn't laughed nearly this much in a while and he liked the feeling.

Taking in Sandy's words with a rare thoughtful expression, Will nodded. "That's true," he said after a moment. "But there's no chance I'm staying in London," he said in a sure voice. He was determined he would be elsewhere after next year, far away from his father. He couldn't imagine being far from his twin sister, though. So wherever he went, he hoped she wouldn't be far. "There's very few fond memories," he concluded.

"No, there isn't. It'd be cool if there were, though." Cassandra said with a laugh. There were many muggle cartoons she enjoyed still that she hadn't watched in years. She made a mental note to change that next time she was in the States. When Will explained about his mother, all Sandy wanted to do was give him a hug. "I'm sorry..." was all she could get out. She couldn't imagine what life would be like if her mother died. She probably wouldn't be at Hogwarts, or any wizarding school for that matter.

Her face lit up when he talked about shopping. Sandy found it quite amusing imagining Winnie dragging William around store to store. "I am having the most amusing mental image, imagining you in stores like Charlotte Russe and Victoria's Secret and, oh lordy." She said with a laugh. Sandy loved shopping. Maybe it was because she lived in a female-dominated house, but shopping was her favorite past-time. Or at least, window shopping was. She didn't see the trouble in getting a summer job, and her grandparents had to pay for her robes and books each new year, since her own parents didn't have much wizard money. So there were little times when Cassandra could actually shop.

Sandy knew he was laughing at her accent. A small blush creeped up her cheeks and she folded her arms. "Stoooooooooooop it." She whined, mimicking those annoying girls she knew resided in the great hall at the moment, their only goal in life to make every guy in school want to bone them. All unseriousness aside, Sandy didn't mind that he was laughing at her accent. She was actually glad he didn't think it was weird like most people did.

"I can put anybody in a good mood. Except for maybe Slytherins, but you wouldn't see me going near any of those anyways because the scare the living bejeezus out of me." Sandy said truthfully. It was true. Slytherins did scare her. Maybe it was because most of them were Squires, or because they were just Slytherins and the house had always had a bad repp. Sandy didn't care, though. They just scared her.

The blond noticed as he moved his eyes away from her quickly. Her thoughts began to race.

Oh my god, was he staring at me? No!
You probably have something on your face, that's why he was staring.
SHUT UP!!!

After a moment, Cassandra concluded that her thoughts would be the death of her.

"Well, I mean, I do laugh a lot. Because laughter reduces stress. And I don't wanna be stressed. I see people every day who are stressed and they're so like.. trapped. I wanna be free. Like a bird." Sandy said, nodding.

"Well, that makes two of us. I mean. I'm not staying in Louisiana. I hate Louisiana. It's awful. Don't ever go there." Sandy said with a laugh. Half of what she had said was true. She did hate Louisiana. It just wasn't as awful as she made it out to be. The only awful part was her family, but if anybody did ever go to Louisiana, they'd probably go to Baton Rouge anyways, skip right over Monroe.

"But in this show," Will began, trying to understand it, "there is a squirrel under the sea?" It didn't really make sense, but it was a very funny mental image. "The next time I am home I am going to go scour the streets of London and look for this Spongebob show. It sounds pretty funny," Will said. And maybe he needed to laugh more during the many months he spent at home in his room trapped with his own thoughts. "Thanks," Will said, swallowing hard at thoughts of the mother he never knew. He didn't normally talk of his mother with anyone. "But I never knew her, so it wasn't really as bad as it could have been. Sometimes I wonder... about her," Will said seriously.

It didn't escape Will's notice how happy Sandy seemed to be at the prospect of shopping. He tried to hold back a smile at her comment. "It was practically torture. Winnie would spend hours in one store. How do girls do that? What is there to look at for that long?" Will questioned. Those were actually some of the better memories he had of being at home whether it did involve shopping or not.

Will found himself laughing even harder when she whined and told him to stop. He felt lighter with her, like the world wasn't all that bad of a place and he really could just be himself and she wouldn't care. "But I love your accent. It's so... different," he retorted with a grin. He loved hearing her talk. Partially for her accent and because she was just very entertaining.

"I bet you could. And really, Slytherins aren't that bad. Not all of them, anyway. Some are downright nasty. But some I feel bad for some being so prejudiced against," thinking for a moment Will added, "eh. Maybe the majority are as bad as they seem. I can't think of any I particularly like." They were rather intimidating and William most often tried to avoid them, though there were a few, he was sure, that weren't as mean as the ones he had encountered in the past.

Will had to admit to himself that Sandy was slightly quirky, but in a completely good way. Normally, he would've dismissed her as someone he had no interest in getting to know. Or they just wouldn't have interacted, but he was glad they had. And he was beginning to wonder if he actually... no, no. Will reminded himself that he had had feelings for Danny for like five years now and no one conversation with some pretty girl could change this that quickly. "Stressing is so pointless. Whatever happens, happens. There is no way we can change it." Will was the type of guy who hardly took anything seriously. Some things he did, but when it came to school or anything related he dismissed it as being out of his control.

"It can't be that bad." Will thought for a moment. "If I ever went to the States, which one would you recommend?" he asked. William had always wanted to go to the U.S. It just sounded like a very neat place. And every American he had ever known was pretty cool. So it really couldn't be that bad.

"Yes, there is. It's really quite.. amusing. I mean, it's a kids show. But I like it." Sandy said, shrugging. She loved cartoons and kids shows. They were just.. amazing. Better than that teenage drama heartbreak bull poopy that was on some of the more famous tv channels among her generation. "You should! Look at video stores.. they might have seasons of it on blu-ray or something. Which you probably don't know what that is." Cassandra laughed. Sometimes it amused her how wizards and witches knew absolutely nothing about the muggle universe. That was why she was glad she had the opportunity to grow up in both.

Sandy stood up and wrapped her arms around Will. It seemed like he needed a hug. So she was giving him one. And.. it felt nice. Being close to him. She let go of him and the hug as he said that shopping with his sister was practically torture. "It could not have been that bad. It's just shopping, for christ's sake. And there's everything to look at. Clothes and shoes and jewelry and make-up and sales. It's worse when there's sales." The blond said with a grin.

"I hate my accent. It's so.... horrible. It's like everybody's worst childhood nightmare. I hate it." Sandy pursed her lips together as if she really did hate it, but honestly she was just trying to hide her smile. It didn't work, though, because after a few moments she broke out in a smile. Sometimes Sandy reminded herself of sunshine. Always bright, always optimistic, always shining. Will seemed to bring that out more in her. She didn't think it was possible.. but apparently it was.

"I'm not prejudice against them. Oh, good lord no. They just scare me. I mean.. I see a flash of green on a tie or robe and I am straight packing for the door. I'm so terrified of them. It's horrible, it really is!" Sandy said, a laugh escaping her lips on the last sentence.

"Just like.. the whole lot of them. They scare me. That might be due to their affiliation with snakes, I don't know. I hate snakes almost as much as I hate spiders. And by hate I mean I'm so terrified I practically, well I usually do, scream when I see them." With that, Sandy nodded her head, her blond curls bouncing. There were lots of things lots of people were scared of. All of Sandy's fears started with an s and belonged in the same general category - facking scary.

Cassandra could only nod her head in agreement as he said that stressing was pointless. Which it was. It totally was. Sandy had thought that ever since the day she had been born, grinning and laughing and wearing cowboy boots as early as 3 months old. So why was she stressing now over the fact that he was cute? And that she was happy around him? There was nothing to stress about, she concluded. She interacted with cute boys every day. And she was happy around everybody.

She was just living her normal life. "Stress is pointless. I honestly feel so bad for people with so much stress in their life,"She said, shaking her head. She hated stress. The only time she ever felt stress was when she was in Louisiana. And then it went away whenever she went window shopping, or left the house to be with some of the muggle teens who lived in her neighborhood. Overall, Sandy was a generally stress free person.

"William, believe me when I say this. Louisiana is HORRIBLE. Emphasis on the horrible part," Sandy said, shaking her head again. She really did hate the state. It was so.. the same. Everywhere. "I would probably recommend you just don't go in general." Another laugh escaped her lips, before she said "okay, seriously?" Sandy thought about America. She hadn't been to all of it, just Niagra Falls and the Grand Canyon. She had been to some states to visit family, but there wasn't really much she had visited. So, going on mainly what she had read, Cassandra said "Georgia. That's my favorite. Or North Carolina. Just not Louisiana. Unless you're coming to visit me, then go right ahead." By this point in time, Sandy had completely forgotten about the piece of paper that had been balled up in her hands. It now resided on the floor, unwanted and irrelevant.

Before Will could even point out that he had no idea what blu-ray meant either she realized that herself. "You're right. I have absolutely no idea," Will confirmed with a laugh. He felt completely idiotic for not knowing any of this stuff, but that was just the way things were having grown up in a strictly magical household. Electronics and the like did intrigue him and he did know some things about them, but not these kind of things or specific shows. If he still had his muggle mother, he couldn't help but thinking, he might have known some of these things or he might have watched 'Spongebob' when he was a kid. He couldn't help but play the what if game in his mind.

William found her being so close to him as she hugged him actually made him rather nervous. Not many girls ever made him feel that nervous aside from Danny who he always felt a bit anxious around. Will also found Sandy's hug to be comforting, and he tried to put aside thoughts of his loss. "Thanks," he said quietly as she let go.

"Cassandra whateveryourlastnameis, it was awful. It was one of the worst things I've ever had to do. Walking into a mall is almost as bad as... walking to the gallows," Will said with a laugh, emphasizing the torturous event. "Well, looking at clothes and shoes and jewelery and all this stuff should never be an all day event," Will said rolling his eyes at the thought. It was so not a pleasant pastime and he concluded in his mind that he would never, ever understand the magnetism between girls and shopping.

Will watched, shaking his head from side to side as Sandy tried to hide her smile which was of course hopeless for her. "Well, I like it. So... end of discussion," Will said trying to fake a southern accent and failing miserably with a laugh. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaning back against the back of the chair, watching Cassandra.

Listening as Sandy began rambling on about Slytherins, Will stared at her again with an amused expression. He seemed to wear that a lot when he was with her, but she was just simply very amusing to him. "I understand completely," Will said as he tried to keep up with her words. "Oh come on. You are seriously afraid of a little spider and some snakes?" Will said, raising an eyebrow. Again, another girl thing he would never get. "I'll give it to you that yes, some snakes are scary."

"There's no way it's as horrible as you say it is," Will said, shaking his head. "Oh America cannot be that bad. I really do want to go there so help me out here," he added with a smile. William took note of all the places she named off in his mind. Then, he thought of visiting the blonde in the land of southern accents and a smile came to his face. "Alright," he responded simply with a grin that he hadn't seemed to be able to wipe off his face during the entire time he was with Sandy.

"It's this like.. muggle contraption," Sandy paused to laugh at the word. "It's this muggle contraption that plays back video, pretty much." She said. After a moment of thought, she added "If you tell me you don't know what a video is I'm going to wack you upside the head." Most of the people Sandy knew thought she was just obsessed with the muggle world. She was more obsessed of her world, which just happened to be a nice blend of both worlds. It was like a blueberry and banana smoothie, a nice blend of two things that normally wouldn't go together at all.

"McKinney, my last name is McKinney. And it could not have been that horrible." She interrupted.

"Walking into a mall is almost as bad as... walking to the gallows,"

"William whateveryourmiddlenameis Anderson, that is just preposterous. It's not like Winnie took your head and stuck it in a guillotine. That is much worse than shopping. I would rather shop than even look at a guillotine." Cassandra said, forgetting the fact that she completely loved shopping.

"I would keel over and die of happiness if there were such event. As long as I don't have to pay for it, I mean.. shoot," Sandy laughed. With all of the laughter going on in the room, it felt nice and spacious. Although it was empty except for the two, it sure didn't feel like it.

Cassandra watched as he tried to mimic her accent and failed.. horribly. Crash and buuuuuuuuuuuurn. "That was horrible. You are horrible. You are a horrible person. You don't see me trying to mimic your fancy little London accent, do ya?" She teased, a grin spreading over her lips. Honestly, Sandy didn't mind. It was.. cute. Kind of.

Noticing the amused look on his face as she talked about her greatest fears, Sandy frowned. Well, it was more like a pout. "I'm being serious! Snakes and spiders and Slytherin's is almost as horrible a thought as getting to a shoe store to get a pair of shoes that are on sale and they're all sold out in your size. It's terrifying." Cassandra tried to maintain the facade that she was being serious, but she let out a laugh. Although she really was deathly afraid of spiders and snakes. And Slytherins.

"It is horrible. Okay. Imagine this," Sandy said, turning in her seat so she could see him better. He was cute. She looked at his eyes for a fraction of a second and her heart began to - Stay on track, Cassandra.

"Okay, like I was saying. Imagine this. Just like imagine a whole country of people with a voice like mine. Or worse. With a Jersey accent. It's horrible, William, horrible!!!" She said, widening her eyes for non-serious emphasis.

"I'm gonna be serious here for a moment. It's not that bad. I'm just a bit biased. I just hate Louisiana. I can't wait till next year when I can move to Ireland." Sandy said, wrinkling her nose as she thought of Louisiana.

"What about you, where are you going to go after next year?" Cassandra asked with a smile, knowing that it was none of her business. But.. she was curious. Like a cat. Except like a cat, she didn't have nine lives. And the statement curiosity killed the cat.. well Sandy had yet to prove that statement true, but she knew it would happen some day.

ooc : I'VE NOTICED ALL SANDY DOES IS TALK, SMILE, AND LAUGH. That's.. weird to me. *fixes it next post*

Will laughed in return at the word 'contraption'. "I feel like I'm from a different planet than you right now. But yes I do, in fact, know what a video is. I wouldn't want you wack me upside the head with one of your many pairs of shoes," he said in an exaggerated, frightened tone pretending to fear the blonde. "In all seriousness could you even hurt a fly? Like, really?" he asked. He couldn't see that. Not at all.

McKinney, he repeated in his mind. He would have to remember that one. "It was absolutely intolerable. I was bored out of my skull," Will said trying to get his point across. "Well, it was close enough. She might as well have. And of course you'd rather shop. You just happen to be a girl who loves shopping." He shuddered at the thought of spending a whole other day at the mall with his sister. "And my middle name... well I'll just let you sit and wonder on that."

"I'd like to see you try and mimic my fancy little London accent blondie, go right ahead," Will shot back with a smile. "And now I'm somehow a horrible person, hmm?" Will hadn't even been close to her accent... it sounded really like a fancy redneck or something. Not even remotely close to her cute southern accent.

"Again with the shoes and the shopping. And if that is seriously terrifying to you... I think there is something seriously wrong," Will said in mock seriousness. This was girl was obsessed with shopping. More so than his sister or any other girl he'd ever known. He would've guessed that snakes and spiders would be in a completely different league of terrifying as a store not having the right shoe size. "Or your priorities are out of order," he said, shaking his head in a disapproving manner.

He listened to her, but found imagining a whole country of people with her accent to be not such a bad thought. "I don't think I'd mind that. You're accent is perfectly tolerable," he said with a shrug of his shoulders. "What does a Jersey accent sound like?" he asked curiously. He still really felt very much like an alien from a different planet.

"That's a first," William interrupted, seeing as it seemed she was very rarely serious, before listening on. "You're moving to Ireland?" That wasn't quite as far away. When anyone asked Will a question about his future Will seemed to freeze up. He hadn't thought it through at all. He wasn't a planner. It made him slightly nervous knowing he had nothing planned and it's not like his grades in school were wonderful, but that was mostly because he hadn't really ever tried to learn anything at Hogwarts. "Umm. That's a good question. And I honestly have no idea. Anywhere but here," William responded.

"You're from a different part of the world as me, I suppose you could say. Although I'm accustomed to both the wizarding and muggle world," Sandy said with a shrug. "I would never waste a perfectly good pair of shoes just to hit you upside the head. Never." Cassandra shook her head.

"No, probably not. I don't like hurting animals or insects or people or anything living."

Is that some secret way of him calling me cute? Because only cute people don't hurt - SHUT UP!!!

The girl wanted to scream. Instead she just laughed as he talked about how boring shopping was. "No, shopping it not boring at all. I mean, you can think that. But I won't think that. I mean.. whatever lights your candle," she said with a smile. That was one of her favorite statements, ever.

"Every girl loves shopping. Whether they show it or not, every girl loves shopping. It's a fact," Sandy said, adjusting her minnie mouse ears headband.

Cassandra listened with a laugh as he challenged her to try his British accent. "No, because I would butcher it just like you did my southern accent, other blondie." Sandy crossed her legs very official like, as if it made her more sophisticated. But she was southern. So no matter how hard she tried, she could never be sophisticated. She was still Sandy McKinney with blond hair, a loud mouth, a sunshiney personality, and cowboy boots.

"I would attempt to do a British accent, but I'm horrible at it so just have this piece of rubbish instead," Sandy said after a moment.

Cassandra just shook her head as he commented that something was seriously wrong with her. "You obviously have never wanted a pair of white cowboy boots so bad and gone to the store and they're all out of size six. It's horrifying. To the point of tears." To add a little touch of dramatics, she added a fake sniffle at the end of her sentence.

"My priorities are not out of line. Trust me, Willeth. My priorities are perfectly aligned." Sandy would have been telling the truth if she had any clue what her priorities were. Sure, she wanted to move to Ireland some day, marry the right guy and have a huge family. But those were more long-term goals than priorities, weren't they?

She almost stood up and slapped him when he asked what a Jersey accent was. "You have got a lot to learn. Pretty much, a Joisy is accent is where you tawlk lyke this awl the tyme." Cassandra attempted her best Jersey accent, and although it was pretty horrible, it was also pretty horrifying as well. She came to the conclusion that he really was an alien. A cute alien, though.

"Hey, hey, hey. Shut up." Sandy huffed, folding her arms across her chest playfully.

"Well, I mean. I want to. It's so beautiful there. And I like the climate way better than Louisiana. It never snows there. Ever. I hate it. At least in Ireland you get a change in weather," Sandy explained. She could go on for ages on why Ireland was better than Louisiana. She noticed how he sort of.. froze when she asked him what he wanted to do. Or at least, where he wanted to live.

"Well," Sandy paused, "that's a good answer. I mean, kind of. If we were having this conversation a year ago I would have said the same thing." The blond shrugged.

"I'm hungry. We should go to breakfast. You can sit with all of us 'puffs and Winnie can tell embarrassing stories about you. Sounds fun, right?" Sandy teased, even though she really was hungry.

"Well, of course not!" Will exclaimed. "How could I even think such a thing?" he asked himself in a tone of fake shame before letting out a sigh. "I really am a horrible person," he added. "I thought you were surely all talk McKinney," William responded with a smile. Sandy sure didn't look like the type who would ever hurt anything. Ever.

Cassandra's weird southern sayings were interesting to him. They made him laugh every time. They were just odd to him, people didn't talk like that around here. At least, nobody William had talked to had ever said anything like that. He shook his head, "you and your weird southern sayings."

"That's not a fact. There has to be some girl out there that absolutely hates shopping. There is no way that every girl loves shopping. Most do," he corrected. William didn't know why it came so naturally for him to argue with her. Of course, they weren't really arguing, but playful arguments just were his first reaction a lot of the time.

It seemed like a pattern had developed now. Sandy laughed, Will laughed, Sandy smiled, Will smiled. Things just seemed to have been going that way. Normally he found girl's constant giggling to be so obnoxious but he didn't find Cassandra's laugh to be like that at all. "I wouldn't really that butchering it... I mean. I was pretty close," he said, knowing he had been nowhere near the mark.

"You are right, I obviously never have. But I'll take your word for it," William answered. He snorted at her overly dramatic acting. "And take my word for it here that your priorities are so out of line, Cassandra," he assured her. "I mean, if shopping is the first thing on the list, there is something entirely wrong."

"That is incredibly annoying," he answered as he listened to her Jersey accent which he honestly had never ever heard before. It was really obnoxious. "You should be thankful you weren't cursed with that," Will pointed out. If he had to listen to someone talk like that all of the time he thought he might go out of his right mind.

Will's plan for life was to take one thing at a time and just let everything fall into place as it might, if you could really call that a plan. Winifred, he knew, had a very detailed and elaborate plan for her future which he knew was pointless because there was no way of knowing what was going to happen. "Ireland does sound like a beautiful place." A beautiful place for a beautiful girl.

The thought of going to breakfast wasn't appealing to him, but the thought of being in the unused classroom by himself didn't sound too fun either. "Whatever you wish," Will responded with a smile as he stood up. "Umm. There's no chance of that. I'd duct tape her mouth shut before she could even begin to tell you," Will said. Winnie knew entirely too many embarrassing stories about William.
