| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. General Information Full name: Victoria Rose Holmes Nickname(s): Tori - given by her parents Gender: Female Birthdate: April 22nd Age: 16 Year: Sixth Year Blood: Half-blood Wand: 9 inches, Ebony, Dragon Heart-String Preferred House: Slytherin Appearance Height: 5'6 Eyes: Brown, hooded Hair: Brown, long and curly. Usually worn down Physical Description: Victoria is tall and slender, but nicely figured, with pale skin and long fingers. She has a girlish quality to her face that makes her appear younger than she is. Outside of school she tends to wear what she describes as feminine or elegant clothes. She is never seen without her family ring, which is silver with two serpents entwined around, their eyes winking rubies. Personal Personality: Victoria is high-maintenance, egotistical and arrogant. She was taught to think of Witches and Wizards as being better than Muggles, though she has no interest in actually hurting a Muggle or Muggle-baiting. She does not believe that Muggle-borns shouldn't attend Hogwarts, though her father does. However, she is very unlikely to befriend a Muggle-born. She is quick-tempered and can hold a grudge. But those are only her negative qualities. She is also intelligent, brave, outspoken, loyal to those she cares about, witty and respectful to authority. She tends to follow rules, unless they impede something she wishes to do. She is also very interested in power. History: Victoria was born to Nicholas and Aurora Holmes. Nicholas is a Wizard and the son of Darcy and Keaira Holmes. Their bloodline is considered, by them, to be pure, though of course there have been a few forays into the Muggle world for brides, taken forcibly. Nicholas hates anything to do with Muggles and Muggle-borns and tried to teach his children the same. Aurora is a Witch and the daughter of Horus and Helaine Green. They were a Wizard and Witch, respectively, but their family tree is littered with Muggles and they are proud of their half-blood heritage. Aurora did not want to marry Nicholas because of his views on Muggles, but he wooed her at his father's command, because she was one of the few who had a purer bloodline than most half-bloods. Nicholas and Aurora had only two children: Victoria and Carpus. Carpus was the eldest by four years. He graduated Hogwarts and is now in the Ministry of Magic, trying to make stricter laws against Muggles and Muggle-borns. Victoria spent her childhood in the family home out in the English countryside. She didn't have a terrible childhood. She had plenty of pureblood or halfblood friends that were the children of her parent's friends. Both her parents were very social and had a party every weekend. On Halloween they had a masked ball and Victoria's two best friends, Celeste and Dacian, would spend the night. The three friends would hide and watch the ball until they were caught by either one of the parents or Carpus. They never got in trouble - they were just sent to bed with hugs and smiles. Victoria's parents were never cruel to her. They didn't teach her to torture anything and she was not abused. Her brother was distant from her, partly from the age difference, and partly because they had complete opposite personalities. Her father was not overly loving but he was not cold or cruel either. He was distant, like his son. He did favor his son over his daughter, but he still allowed her to be spoiled. Victoria's mother is her best friend. They would do practically everything together and Aurora taught Victoria until she received her letter to Hogwarts. But Victoria was taught to be prejudice against Muggles and Muggle-borns, nonetheless, though her prejudice did not equal her father's or brother's. Her grandparents were close to her throughout her childhood. Her Holmes grandparents were distant, like their son, but she always knew that they loved her. Still, they favored their grandson to her. Her Green grandparents preferred her, just like their daughter did, and she spent every summer with them until she started attending Hogwarts. When Victoria was seven years old she displayed her magical ability by accidentally setting fire to her brother's new school book, because he wouldn't play with her - citing that he needed to study. She received her letter at age eleven and was sorted into Slytherin, as all of her close relatives had been. Family: Nicholas (father), Aurora (mother), Carpus (brother) Pet: Persephone (Perse) a Eurasian Pygmy owl Possessions: Nimbus 2010 |
