Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Dorie and Georgia Kent stepped into the familiar Great Hall and sat down at the Hufflepuff table. There was no one else there, which just made Georgia tense up, Dorie could feel. She touched her twin's hand, to let her know it was all right, and that they'd talk after dinner.

As they sat down, Dorie tucked her skirt neatly under her legs and folded her hands on the table. "Oh my goodness, I'm so hungry. All I had for lunch was some Pumpkin Pasties, and we were so rushed this morning that we didn't have any breakfast at all." She giggled, trying to lighten Georgie's mood, but it was obvious that her twin was too upset for jokes.

Tristan took a place further along the table than any previous years. They were 6th year students and tradition dictated that the higher you went, the further back you got to sit. He was the first of his group to arrive, despite sitting with several of them on the train, but as a Prefect he had to get off quickly and assist the Professors in gathering the 1st years. With his duties over for the time being, he was free to enjoy the Sorting and the Feast.

The plates on each House table were empty when unfortunately his stomach decided to remind him of how hungry it was with a loud rumble. He glanced sideways to ensure no one else had heard that before once again looking to the doors for his friends.

Georgia gripped her sister's hand when she touched hers, anxiety twisting her stomach and making her rigid. Her eyes darted to the doors, hoping someone would come bursting in. She didn't like empty rooms; she needed to be with people. She sighed and tried to calm herself down, giving her sister a worried look.

"I'm hungry, but I don't think I'm in the mood to eat, twinsie," She said, melodramatic as always. Her stomach grumbled as it digested the last of the pumpkin pasties, but her faint headache was making her a bit nauseous. "I don't understand this... Why am I still getting headaches?"

"I really do hope someone comes in soon, I hate feeling this way,"

Carter made his way into the Great Hall. He gazed around as he saw it prove to be more grander and colourful than the sullen look of the Durmstang Great Hall. He sensed the loneliness of the hall, as there were only a few people there, though none from his best friend's house - Slytherin. The one house he would like to go to, partly because all his friends were there and all the other houses seem useless and unworthy...and tainted with the dirtiness of mudbloods. At least Slytherin doesn't let them past onto their table, usually.

Carter groaned as he sat down at the table, obviously the only person there, alone. He knew he should of gone into the Headmistress's Office to get sorted before the Sorting Ceremony, it would be embarrassing to be up there amongst the first years to have a dirty, mangled hat placed upon your skull. At least in the office, no-one would be there to watch.

Carter waited for someone respectable and well, worthy of his time to show up and converse with him. He was certainly getting bored sitting there.

Lucy entered the Great Hall. Ugh, the first day of Sixth Year. She smoothed out her green skirt as she headed for the Slytherin table. While on her way, a couple of third years bumped into her. Lucy growled and rolled her eyes as she continued to make her way to . . . home.

Carter was already there, perhaps the only fellow sixth year she knew. She sat on the end of the table, not feeling the need to talk to anyone. If he wanted to talk, he would approach her.

Precious Hindert really rubbed off her over the summer.

Carter's head turned as he felt a presences linger over the Slytherin table. It was Lucy Hindert, a girl he Leighton had invited over for the party. He didn't know her yet, though just couldn't be bothered scooting over to say hello. Introductions were for social barnacles and for the needy. All of those Carter disliked to a great extent.

He groaned as he stood up and walked towards her, feeling what he had just done was uncharacteristic and un-Carter like. But he was bored and uninterested. He sat down on the opposite of the table to her and let out a sigh.

"And how do we have here?" Carter asked unenthusiastically, leaving out his infamous smirk. He was growing tired of his loneliness, it was getting to him.

A groaning, whiny monster. He sounded unhappy. "You sound like you don't want to be here." smirked Lucy. He might be one of those Julian Kahn followers, but Lucy could deal. She was clever enough to have a boy head over heels . .

. . ok, she was trying too hard.

Calm, Lucy. Lucy had to remind herself about a thousand times. Carter Breslin was just another boy. "Lucy. You must be new, because I don't know you." She batted her thick lashes at him. "What's your name, stranger?"

"What I don't want, is boredom," Carter responded, leaning back onto the bench he was sitting on. He gazed at her closely for the first time. She was...pretty, enough to reach his standards he guessed. Though looks can be deceiving, she could of well been one of those phony posers who acted like cold and smooth just to fit in.

Useless junk.

Carter smirked," Oh I know you're Lucy Hindert." There, subtle flattery. It was probably enough to make her smile with glory. Girls like having their names known to them, which was kind of stupid but it worked well in so many ways. "I'm Carter Breslin," Carter introduced himself with a slight frustration that he had. Maybe it was a good idea to get your name up there. Then you wouldn't have to bother saying hello.

"Don't we all, don't we all." Who would want boredom in their lives? Boring people, probably. Lucy bit her lower lip. No, her lips weren't as plumped as Precious'. In fact, they were chapped. Lucy was the regular indie girl who never really cared about make up - except for eyeliner or mascara. She wasn't a complete plastic Barbie Doll.

She smiled and nodded. Lucy Hindert. She would pay five bucks to the fool who didn't gape at the fact that she was a Hindert. She was a bit surprised that he didn't ask if she was related to the Queen of the school. "Carter Breslin?" snorted Lucy. "Are you related to Abigail?"

After a smooth ride from Hogsmeade, Amera Percy and Rosie Montez entered the Great Hall for the first time their sixth year. Amera lead the way to the Hufflepuff table, and sat next to the Kent twins.

"Dia daoibh Georgia, Dorie!" Meri chirped, shooting them a giant grin. Oh, how she missed Hogwart's. Ireland was a great and all - but nothing compared to the castle, and normal students.

Well, as normal as you can be at Hogwarts.

Carter scoffed. He wasn't related to Abigail. The very fact she had said so made Carter want to wash his hands thoroughly. The dirty half-blood and her mudblood father were his disgrace and his unforgettable burden he had to hold. They were his curse.

"I'm not related to her," Carter spat with disgust as she asked if they were related. Even if he didn't know his actual true blood purity. He acted like what true purebloods do. Held up their nose to the lower species. "The very fact you mentioned we shared the same DNA makes me want to puke. But unfortunately we are associated through our parents marriage," Carter explained, still wanting to destroy their bond so that Carter can up hold their pure reputation.

Lucy giggled. "Oh, dear!" she said. Carter was much of a too serious person for her, but she loved how he could get riled up so easy. That was a thing for Purebloods to do. Cue the fact that she had grown up in a house full of Slytherins.

"Such a pity. I went to her party, you know? Most dullest thing," she stopped herself quickly as she realized that it was to celebrate Carter's homecoming or whatever. "Oops, I mean, I had the time of my life drinking with my friends. Say, is it your first year here?"

Head of Magical Law Enforcement

Strangely present at the staff table was none other than Abraxas Kemp, head of the Office of Magical Law Enforcement. Abraxas sat in stony silence, observing the room like a sentry, his cold piercing eyes penetrating all that they came across.

Kemp had good reason to be at Hogwarts, and he planned on staying for quite a while. With the Ministry gone, there was no greater place of authority where he could station himself, as Azkaban was quite unpleasant--not to mention its location and everything that went on there was sensitive information. He needed to be in the public eye. He needed to be where he could be respected, even feared.

It was the only way to keep Azariah from winning. Abraxas needed to be successful at Hogwarts in order to command the authority he needed throughout the Wizarding World. Barrabas DuMaine had already been eliminated. If Kemp's authority were to be successfully challenged, then the Knights of Walpurgis will surely have won.

In order to be successful at Hogwarts, Kemp had developed a brand new strategy, which he planned to unveil during the feast tonight.

Carter laughed as she unintentionally insulted him. Well she didn't insult him, if you like the whole lets-be-friends-because-we-just-met kind of thing. He was used to them. The party was great, considering that everyone was making an effort to break everything. Which was the real purpose for the party. To make his dearest step-sister infuriated.

"You are quick to change the subject Hindert," Carter noted as he crossed his legs from under the table. "Yes it is. So naturally I am destined to become a target for manipulation," Carter replied, realising his statement was true. Maybe that was a good thing. Carter sighed," Freshmens have it tough."

"Wow. Well, don't let anyone do that. Horrible things happen here." Lucy giggled as she shrugged her shoulders. "Either that or you become the cause of the horrible things . . which I think I know your obvious answer. I dunno." It didn't matter to Lucy what the poser Slytherins were up to. She was just a girl doing her own thing.

"Freshman?" repeated Lucy. She blinked her jade eyes. "What's a Freshman?" She racked her mind for an answer. Wasn't it something in the Muggle word? A word for the equivalent of First Years? She blinked dumbly at Carter.

"I wasn't planning to," Carter replied simply. He wasn't one to be walked over, or else it'll be social suicide for them. He remembered something Leigh said a few years ago, something about a Precious Hindert. He didn't know what she was talking about, but apparently she was the 'queen' of Hogwarts. And assumingly Lucy was related to her, having the last name Hindert and all. Maybe she was referring to her? "I'd rather second opinion. It seems more glamorous to me than being stepped on," Carter said.

Carter smiled, he knew it was a muggle term, kind of disgusted that he said that. But he had used the term back in Durmstang, where it was traditional that they gave the freshmen (first years) some sort of...welcoming ceremony. Ah that was pretty much the only thing fun over there. "Freshmen equals first year," Carter explained only needing a few words to describing it. Carter raised an eyebrow," Though I wouldn't consider myself naive because of that. Doing so would be most dangerous."

John entered the Great Hall

Familiar faces came back to him of students from other year levels. John couldn't help but smile as he saw the candles floating above his head. Looking around the Great hall along the staff table, he noticed a few new faces, some of them not taking seats but merely standing around. John figured these must be Aurors, magical protection sent by the Ministry to guard Hogwarts, but some were sitting at the Staff Table. One in particular John locked eyes with, the man seemed to sit in a transfixed silence. He seemed deep in thought, John merely broke eye contact and continued scouring the room for familiar faces.

Sure enough sitting down at the Ravenclaw table was John's old mate Tristan. John slid his way through the crowd over to Tristan's position on the Ravenclaw table.

John clapped Tristan on the back, a bit more forceful then was entirely necessary and gave his mate a heart hello.

"Hey Tris, hows it going?" John asked with a large smile, taking a seat next to his friend at the table. The Ravenclaw's around him looked at him strangely at first and then realized who it was and continued with their conversations.

Athena arrived alone at the front steps of Hogwarts. Wow, she didn't realise how she missed the place. After looking around the place, Athena stepped into the Great Hall and saw a few people on their own house seats.

When Athena arrived on the Ravenclaw's table, she saw a guy sitting there alone. Feeling friendsly, she sat beside him. And when Athena saw his face, she then knew: he's the Ravenclaw's Quidditch Team Captain. Why not sit with him anyway? Athena tried to get into the Quidditch team before but all the places are full. This made her think something. If she befreinded him, would she get in to the team. Since it's just the two of them in the table, it's worth a try anyway. 'Hey. Your name's Tristan, right? I'm Athena. Nice to meet you at last.'

At the sudden smack! on his back he looked up and around in surprise, but relaxed once again when he discovered John taking a seat beside him.

"Yeah good, mate. How was your summer?" He wasn't really at liberty to go into detail about his own as it was all quite secretive.

Yet before he could get an answer a pretty Ravenclaw girl sat on his other side and introduced herself. He had taken classes with the girl for 5 years but couldn't recall ever speaking to her. Their most memorable interaction would probably have been at Quidditch tryouts where he recalled her trying out each year yet never being successful. Still, perhaps she was a hidden talent.

He smiled warmly back, "Tristan, yep. Likewise. Trying out for the Quidditch team again this year?" This question would come to be one of the biggest regrets of his school years.

OOC - Haha I'm quite looking forward to RPing this little idea. Athena is that girl who tries out every year, has never made it, and is always at him to give her tips or help her out and let her on the team. :)

"It was summer" John said darkly, prefering not to go into details about living at home, taking care of his brother and moving in with Juliet. John was about to ask how Tristan's summer was when a Ravenclaw girl sat down on the other side of Tristan.

John looked inquisitively.

"Trying out for the Quidditch team again this year?" Tristan asked. John had completely forgotten about Quidditch, and the fact that Tristan was the Ravenclaw captain.

"Ha, doesn't matter. Gryffindor will win the cup this year, I can feel it. Quidditch and House double" John boasted, Gryffindor probably could win if John didn't lose to many points for them. He wouldn't be taking Potions, Divination or Care of Magical Creatures and those were the three subjects John had lost the most house points in. He had also regained some in Charms and Transfiguration, when he wasn't in the same class as Tristan, or Addie.

John looked around and realized that several Ravenclaws were now glaring at him, it appears his boasting that Gryffindor would beat Ravenclaw both in the House Cup and the Quidditch Cup while sitting at their house table was not polite. John could do nothing more then chuckle and turn his attention back to Tristan and Athena, the girl who had sat down with them.

"I'm John by the way" John said, before scouting the Great Hall once more for familiar faces, and other people he had to catch up with.
