Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Lucy seized control of George's right hand, asking, "Excited?" George tried to think of something good to say, but it was a bit hard to dodge through the crowd without trampling over the younger kids.

"Very," was all the came out for a few seconds, but George thought of something else, "I mean, this is basically the beginning of the rest of our lives. Uhm.... Well, we are starting some very complex magic this year, and its almost like we are adults." George said, happy with himself.

They had reached the line for the carriages, which wasn't really long. Most people were still on the platform greeting each other. Some of the older kids said invisible horses drove these carriages, but George didn't believe them. George though magic could obviously drive them by itself.

George turned to Lucy, and smiled. He wiped a strand of hair out of her face. "So, are you excited?"

It was all Anya could do to keep her jaw from dropping. He could not be serious. And here she was, under the impression that anyone of such prestige as Carter Breslin could actually have standards, or class at least.

"Bothering me? Oh, noooooo." Sarcasm oozed from every word. She shook her head, sending heaps of golden curls bouncing in the air. "You see Carter, the thing is.. I'm not accustomed to seeing you with such.. such scum." Anya cringed. "It's a bit of a disappointment, to be completely honest."

She turned her eyes to Carter's little friend, and her stare froze solid. Anya could see right through her (whoever she was) and her pretty blonde hair, both of which were quite obviously fake.

"But.. I guess you like Hufflepuffs now, hmm?"

Rosie wasn't very sure about NEWTs, but guessed she would take her favourite classes. As she didn't really excel in any, she had no choices due to her ability. "Eeeehhmmm, we're taking Care of Magical Creatures together, yay!" she exclaimed. CoMC was definitely her favourite class; Rose loved animals and well, magical creatures. "It'll be so fun, I wonder what we'll do this year."

Other than that, she had no idea about her NEWTs. "I'm also taking... Divination, Herbology..." she started listing, but couldn't think about any more. "...And, well, I don't remeber," she laughed, "I have a terrible memory in general, although I remember useless things such as the time I woke up last Thursday." She smiled. "I can't wait!!!" the girl exclaimed, her excitement quite noticeable.

Jasmine stepped off the train and onto Hogsmeade station, her mind still running wild about the dream she had had only moments before. It couldn't mean anything, after all, it was just a dream. And dreams didn't mean anything, although her mother would beg to differ.

Jasmine looked around to see if anybody she knew had left the train yet. She saw a couple Hufflepuffs; including her friend Rosie, although they weren't too close. She also saw Carter Breslin, the host of a party Jasmine had attended over the summer, and two blonds who appeared to be having a bit of an argument over him.

Jasmine got into one of the empty carriages, waiting for somebody to either come join her or to take her up to the castle.

Why were animals so fascinating, in every way? In all their glory, out in the landscape of the Earth - they shone in Amera's eyes. With a laugh, Amera said "I heard the Care of Magical Creatures teacher is kind. Let's see if this class lives up to expectations!" Amera smiled again, before getting up off of her trunk. "We should prob' head to the feast?" Amera suggested, attempting to pull Rosie off her trunk as well.

With a meow, her cat reminded her it needed to be taken properly cared of. Cooing, Amera took the cat and put her with the rest of the pets. "I'll see you later, sweet."

Returning to Rosie, Amera said "What time did you wake up last Thursday?"

"Dorie, I have a bad feeling about this." Georgia spoke very quietly, and Dorie turned around to look at her. Her lips weren't moving, and it had been so low that maybe Dorie had imagined it... Although her twin's face did reflect fear of imminent disaster...

Just for good measure, she leaned over and breathed in her sister's ear. "I know, okay? We'll talk about it later. Let's just make it through the feast, all right?" She squeezed Georgia's hand in a reassuring way and turned back to the boys.

"I'm not sure what I want to do after school, personally. It all depends on the grades we make. I'm just taking all the classes I can squeeze into my schedule, to leave my future open."

Goodness, Dorie could ramble when she needed to...

"Woah there, I advise you to put her on a leash next time you take her out in public," Falon laughed at the petty girl who had so rudely interupted them, for no reason other than her obvious jealousy towards Falon.

"Sorry, I didn't catch your name...?" she didn't bother to offer her hand, "I was to busy noticing your ability to be so jealous and so bitchy at the same time, i'd try this great muggle stuff, it's called prozac, it's good for up-tight people such as yourself." She turned to face the boy, already bored with her dull, annoying facade. How many pencil-neck, fake blonde, green eyed monsters were there? There is only so much room on the planet, at least you would hope so.

She adjusted her gorgeous perfectly curled blonde hair and winked at the boy infront of her.

"Seriously though, invest in a leash," point one for falon. Zip for anorexic blonde barbie.

Rosie rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I guess we should," the girl replied. Although the Welcoming Feast was a bit fun - it had food and important announcements were made - she wanted to jump straight to the action. Well, that was impossible, as everyone would go to sleep after the feast. However, Rose believed that the sooner she went to sleep, the sooner she would wake up, and therefore, the sooner the action would start. Then again, the sooner they went to the feast, the sooner it will finish, and blah blah blah. It was a simple pattern.

The girl followed her friend's decision and got off her trunk. She looked around and admired the beautiful carriages that were to take them to Hogwarts.

Rose laughed. "10:53," she answered with a wide smile. "That day we were going back home from the beach, so I had to wake up early. Of course, I didn't, and had to eat a tiny and quick breakfast." Rosalina didn't know if Amera wanted to know the story of her life; perhaps she was exaggerating the amount of detail in the answer. "I'm quite sure that if I see you wake up one day, I'll remember the time 'till next year," she joked, although that was actually possible.

Shannon bit her lower lip as Anya appeared. "Alright, seeing as you don't care much then . . . five points from Gryffindor." She smiled politely at Falon, then turned to Anya. "You see this here? She just costed your house five points." Shannon patted Anya on the shoulder.

"It isn't much, no, but it could cost you the House Cup. You know, they could say 'Oh, Ravenclaw won this year, with Gryffindor just five points off." The Hufflepuff grinned and then collected her bags. "Anyway, I'm off. I look forward to seeing you around the castle." Her eyes landed on the boy who had remained quiet the whole time. At least someone had brains. "Watch out boy, these two blonds don't want anything from you but to have you at their side. Once they've got what they want, they don't want you at all."

"I've seen it before. A lot. Just a warning."
She glanced at Falon, then at Anya, smiled at the boy, and then turned and left the scene. Bloody hell, Gryffindors these days. What was up with them trying to up the Slytherins? Didn't they understand that they would get eaten alive? Oh well. Shannon had learned the hard way not to mess with any.

As she waited for her carriage, a couple of Second Year Slytherins bumped into her. Their faces were caked with make up and their skirts barely covered anything. Shannon smirked and rolled her eyes. The youth these days didn't understand class. Finally, she got on an empty carriage, and rode up to the castle.

To answer Amera's thoughts on dinner, her stomach rumbled loudly. It caused Meri to laugh loudly, a very Irish laugh too. Full of belly and a distinctive ring. Still snickering, Amera turned towards Rosie. "Ah, well you should let me know when that happens." With a broad grin, Amera led the way to a carriage - not really caring if it was full or not. "Coming Rosie?!" Amera taunted, settling herself into the carriage.

Hopefully this year wouldn't be too difficult. Obviously, it was going to be harder due to NEWT classes. But Amera Lori Percy wasn't what you called book-smart. But it was only 6th year, it couldn't be too...dangerous.

Rosie followed Amera into the carriage with a grin. She planted herself on the seat which, fortunately, was quite comfortable. There was nobody inside other than them, and Rose didn't think it was good or bad. At least she was a step closer to Hogwarts, a step closer to Sixth Year.

"Ah," said she as she crossed her legs. "It's warm here," the girl commented. Although the climate in the UK had been quite hot for a while, the temperature inside that very compartment was just as Rosalina liked it. It reminded her of home. "The weather has been really hot lately, I was almost dying when I got here!" she exaggerated. "That's something I find quite frustrating. During summer it's too hot, and during winter is too cold." Rose didn't like winter very much; although she thought snow was beautiful, she couldn't stand the cold. "But, I must admit that it is a good place to wear all the latest fashion trends," she joked.

Amera was very comfortable. The dark carriage was perfect sleeping conditions, and Amera was tempted to sleep until the carriage got to Hogwarts. This year was going to be weird, at least - Amera felt weird about it. Her thoughts shook as the carriage decided to take off - heading towards the castle.

"If only Ireland's constant rain would drift East to England. I swear, it never stops there." Amera grinned. "I hope I can dress up a little here. I'm sick of raincoats."

I'm sure Rosie gets lots of chances to dress up. Well, she lives in Mexico after all. I heard it is sunnier there.

Gweneve Primus
Dave's future current lover

Gweneve looked around, seeing the carriages pull up and open their doors for the students to climb in. She waited until many of the students had found their own and climbed into one that had no other occupants. It was peaceful in this carriage. Hopefully the journey to the castle would not last to long. Her peace and quiet would not last, however. One of the girls that had ridden the train with her climbed into the carriage.

"Of course you may." The girl seemed nice enough on the train.

Carter scoffed by exhaling promptly through his nose, he smirked and shook his head, He pressed a pondering finger on his lips, he opened his mouth and took his finger off and rested his hand on his shoulder blade. "I am flattered that you think highly of me, but I as you might know...I am unpredictable, and assuming my actions should be frowned upon," Carter smirked and looked at Anya with a cheeky wink.

He didn't want to get on the wrong side with either of these girls, partly because they would get first strike at him if they did. And he hated coming second. But even so, he didn't see these girls as much of a threat, more like people aspiring to be on top, having some sort of ambition to rules. Ambition...something Carter lacked, well if you didn't count being determined in the art of manipulation.

"Hufflepuff or not, whatever the house they belong to is irrelevant, the purity of their blood is the important factor with me. Though, whether they are worth my time is another thing, even if their not tainted with dirtiness of a muggle, they must prove themselves entertaining..." Carter explained with a tad of disgust at the mention of the lowly species they call a 'muggle'. Carter turned his gaze at both of them without trace of a smirk hidden in his face. "...and you girls certainly have proven my point," Carter lied expertly, no-one could of thought it was a lie, even he almost fooled himself. He wasn't sure yet, whether either of them were actually worth his time. He would just have to wait and see if his statement would come true.

Leering, he placed his hand back behind him. He watched on as the girl gave a little speech on why Anya was such a bitch. Carter pursed his lips together, as if not wanting to say anything to interrupt this amusing performance between the girls. Though, he would probably have to respond if it was directed to him, which only made things better as he could put more and more fuel into this dispute.

"Call me concupiscent but leash...?" Carter smirked as he responded to her suggestion of Anya getting a leash,"...kinky." Carter sighed as he watched on. Enough spotlight on me, even though I kind of hate that. Concentrate on the argument girls! I would rather hear about me that talk about me Carter thought becoming more bored. He turned around to the prefect who had just taken points off from Gryffindor. Carter nodded with mock geniality and rolled his eyes as she left. Carter? Being used? He doesn't think so!

Georgia squeezed Dorie's hand gently, her eyebrows slightly pushed together. Her twin always manages to calm her down, but sometimes Georgia worries too much. Way too much. "Until the feast, I promise,"

She wasn't up for conversation, but Georgia still put on a smile and played along, not really wanting to show anyone what she felt. She didn't feel the need to be open about it to anyone, as Dorie knew about it. And it's all that matters.

As soon as the carriage made its way towards the castle, Georgia was able to breathe in relief and relax as she felt the early night winds blow upon her face and hair.

'Wait. Hold on a sec. Or not. I just need to do something. If you can wait, that'd be great.' Athena said to Gweneve. She saw the big talk in the train: the Gryffindor girl from Beauxbaton. She was standing in on the platform and insulting insulting a Hufflepuff Perfect. Athena noticed that she's with the nasty Slytherin guy she saw a while back. Now is the time for Athena to do something else. Not to sulk, but to do something great. Or is it great?

Athena ran to the the group. 'You know, you won't get any friends if you're being cruel to people.' she said. Smirking, she added, 'But you don't need friends; you want to be at the top, don't you? Well, you're on the right track.'

Athena lifted her chin up and said: 'Athena Bellchambers. I'll see you later, Gryffindor girl.' She then ran back to the carriage where Gweneve was. She can't find her anymore as everyone got out of the train and they're all over the place. So Athena just jumped into one of the empty carriages. She didn't know why she did that but it felt a bit nice. While Athena was thinking, the carriage started moving away from the station, just her on the carriage.

Winifred stepped onto the platform at Hogsmeade Station cautiously as she studied the large crowd that was forming as the students starting forming circles of groups and traveled in pairs. Winnie, however, was alone. She seemed to have lost all the people she had met in the compartment also, as none of them were in sight. She felt completely alone in this crowd of people. She had no to walk with, talk with, or gossip with. This was of her own making, Winnie only pushed people away. Making her way out of the crowd and off to the side, she sighed. Finally, it felt as if she could breathe again.

Winnie searched the crowd for someone she knew, anyone. But all she saw was a great many unfamiliar faces and some familiar faces that she would never dare have the courage to begin a conversation with. Standing on the tips of her toes, she scanned the crowd again, trying to find in which direction people were heading. She supposed she should give up on actually having company, and simply get on a carriage unaccompanied and sit awkwardly with a group of unfamiliar people. This was her thought as she made her way through the crowd that was growing denser by the minute.

"HA." Anya spat one short, audacious snort at the blonde. Just who did she think she was? "As if I would even consider being on a first name basis with something like you." She cocked her head to the side, a familiar act of hers. "Nice try though."

"Carter, I would advise you to at least attempt to find suitable people to associate yourself with." What in God's name had gotten into him, anyway? She could have slapped him right then and there, the way he hung back and witnessed the whole debacle unfold (she would have done it, too, were she not trying so desperately hard to win his attention). Hell, if she didn't know any better, Anya would have thought he was defending this Hufflepuff sleaze.

No, he wouldn't. Would he?

"And what are you going on about now?" Anya shook her head irritably at the bleach blonde. "Pro-what? And.. a leash? Honestly?"

She watched in utter disgust as the tramp linked arms with Breslin and murmured another meaningless nothing into his ear.

"You might as well be a Muggle."

With a semi-satisfied smirk, she flipped her golden hair - her real golden hair - over her shoulder and stomped away to find a carriage to ride up in. She found a vaccant one, and settled herself inside.

And waited. Just waited. For someone to come along and safe her from herself.

Samantha walked into the platform and most of the students were already there. Some, as it seemed to her, were having a rather feisty conversation. A lot were already getting acquainted. Of course, summer is finally over and there is a lot of catching up to do. It is the start of term feast after all. She guessed everyone must have been too enthusiastic about it, wondering what kind of adventure Hogwarts has in store for them this year.

She strode aside, carrying her luggage with her, and her made a quick scan of the place with her eyes. On the corner she saw.. What was her name again? Err.. Wi.. Winnie.. Yeah.. She wanted to approach her but her mind decided against it thinking that Winnie had probably not remembered her anyway. It was not too long of a trip anyway and sher could just slip in Winnie's mind. With that, she stood there for a while and though about who to ride the carriage with.
