Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

I thought that next year when the MLE has cut off the school and the only information is being smuggled in, there'd be a couple students that prey on the other's emotions. Like, claim they have ties to the KOW and threaten their families to get stuff out of them, or other things the like. The ties will be false, of course, but the students will be taking advantage of the sitution and kind of using the warish thing to their advantage. Hellius: to what extent? It'd start off small, just one or two people being bullies. But it'd get more and more organized and intense and stuff. I guess it'd really depend how much people believed them. But there'd be the defense club that's doing good, the squires that are doing bad, and this other group that doesn't care one way or another and is just taking advantage to the situation. Hellius: would they piss off the squires? Probably, if the squires found out. But the whole thing would be very secret. Like, they'd amush you in the bathroom and whisper it in your ear. They wouldn't make a big deal out of it, because they'd have that element of secrecy. So what do you all think? I think it'd get the characters involved that aren't super!good or super!bad, and I think it'd be fun.

I'd like to have Myles get involved. Here's sort of what I think is going on in 6th year: Addie is gonna be kidnapped by Jeremiah because he wants the resurrection stone. At the last minute, she gives it to someone in the defense group. Myles is gonna be a member of the pseudo-squires, and he's going to abduct and torture Olivia Linnet for information vital to the pseudo-squire's operation. She tells him about shit going down between the Knights and SAVIOR and how the Knights are going after the Hallows for the power, and that the Defense Club is currently in possession of the resurrection stone. The pseudo-squires hold Olive out for ransom, leading Hellius to go full on rampage. He'll take the resurrection stone from who ever took it from Addie, and chase after Myles and the pseudo squires and away from the protection of SAVIOR. This starts a manhunt and general chaos between the Squires, the Defense Club, the pseudo-squires, SAVIOR, the MLE, and the professors. Eventually Hellius finds Myles and Olive, Myles threatens to kill Olive if he doesn't hand over the stone, and then there's this huge Mexican stand off/hostage situation. It ends with Myles being killed and Hellius being arrested, and who knows what else. The only issue is that I hate to roleplay with myself; especially when it's a pivotal moment in the plot, like with this. Edited by Hellius Surla, Aug 25 2010, 05:32:51 PM.

People that are apart of the club would be briefed, I presume. Though, who knows what sort of charms would be placed upon people to avoid that.

It doesn't really matter what is really happening, only what they psuedo-squires say is happening. They have no stake in the war one way or another.

More or less, I envisioned Myles to be this reject wanna-be super evil character. He'll basically manipulate the group for his own means and his own desire of power, leading to his own death. I dunno if he's going to be a member of the squires. He expressed his interest prior to activation, but he wasn't (I didn't roleplay him) at activation. So maybe he's a member of both the pseudo-squires and the squires, but because he is a follower in the squires, he uses the pseudo-squires for his own goals. I dunno. Also, I think that once the group learns that someone at Hogwarts has the resurection stone, they will want it, more for the percieved power than the actual power. Maybe after they find out about it from Olive they will try and manipulate it out of Addie? Obviously Myles will be dead by then, but the rest of the group will want to carry this on, I think. I think everyone in the group will be in it for themselves, and trying to come out on top of the others. This can lead to some conflict between the members, maybe this can cause some problems later.

Also, the defense club doesn't actually need to know most of the stuff explained at the SAVIOR meeting. As for Addie and the stone, I'm confused about the order things would happen in. -Addie gets kidnapped by Jeremiah -Hellius has it, gets arrested -Stone is MIA Margo Maybe after they find out about it from Olive they will try and manipulate it out of Addie? Obviously Myles will be dead by then, but the rest of the group will want to carry this on, I think. I like the idea, but I don't see how it would work unless Addie somehow got the stone back.

All of this could probably easily coincide with the rest of the main plot for this year. Let's see how it goes, but I agree that most, if not all, of what was shared at the SAVIOR meeting will NOT be revealed to the entire Defense Club.

Really, if I applied for a special ability - it would probably be parsletongue. But it might be werewolf or something. That sounds slightly crazy, but it makes sense in her past because she had the tendancy to walk through Ireland and talk to animals. I can see her having a little incident, and since she is a bit reserved - it would be secret. but if I was able to work that into the plot - it might be enough to get it granted/ useful. (now that i think of it, Werewolf makes a lot more sense) Like I said, Amera is essentially a blank slate. Eh, feel free to reject any or all of this. haha
