| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Carter had took his time stepping down the winding stairs, making sure he didn't fall over whilst he fixed his tie on. Sighing as he came to the bottom, he leaned casually on the rails and checked the time. It was 5.50pm. The party guests and gatecrashers were soon to roll in and then the party started. Abby was totally oblivious to what was going on, Carter had made an excuse for their, Bryce, Leigh and himself, unusually formal attire. She was told that they were going for a night out. She simply told them to come back into time to make it inside the curfew his mother and Tyler said. Little did she know what was going to happen and they were going to do so much more than break a simple curfew. He had left upstairs for Bryce and Leigh to get dress, as Leigh kicked him out. They did share Carter's bed but obviously she wasn't going to let him watch her clothed. Food was set up, again which Abby was unknown to. He had managed to persuade one of his connections to lend him his elf for the night to make all the snack and the party food which was set on a credulously long table. Carter was lucky he had an enormous stash of alcohol in the basement, otherwise no one would get high enough to trash the place. There was a range of food from chips and wizard lollies, on the end of the table that no one from his class would happily touch to delicious canapés set on the top end, that his people lower than his status would even know what they were. There was also pumpkin juice, butterbear, firewhisky and other cocktails and other drinks. He had his uncle mail him his magical stereo that acted like a mechanical DJ. His uncle and him aren't very fond of each other so it took a lot of persuasion...He had also gotten firefly lights which float in the air and flash different colours spontaneously and they shine very brightly, although they are made to stay as high as they can, light those muggle helium balloons. Those things never really suited Carter's taste as he preferred cocktail parties and 'high society' parties that he would attend. But if that's what the normal teenager wanted in a party then so be it. His taste wasn't the same as any other teen, he was more mature with that. He had to tone everything down to the average adolescent standard, even his outfit which he had to make less formal...to him. "Ugh, I am so under dressed. It better be worth it," Carter mumbled with a hint of disgust. He was expecting this to be the best party he could ever hold, with people with a lesser status and money than he. He needed to establish a reputation before he went to Hogwarts, so he wouldn't seem much of a loner. And he was bored and wanted to play. It was 5.55pm and soon Carter was expecting his guests to come. He didn't know any of them, just a few names that Leighton mentioned. She was in charge of the invitations whilst Carter and Bryce were in charge of finding Abby's diary and skimming through its contents, finding any names they could invite. He waited impatiently for his guests to arrive and he needed Leigh to come and greet them with him fast as he wasn't acquainted with any of them. He tapped on the rails with an serious face that he always held when not wanting to release any of his emotions. His guests will come any minute now...he hoped. Leighton gracefully made her way down the stairs, feeling stupid in her dress and heels. Those who knew Leighton knew that she barely ever wore dresses, but Carter had given her that look that clearly stated that if she didn't then she'd be under dressed for his standards. Carter had high standards when it came to some things, low when it came to others. She had her hair up, mostly because her curls had been going wild today and she knew that tying them up would be the best way to tame them. She smiled at Carter, making her way over to him and giving him a twirl to show off her dress. "What do you think?" She asked with a smile, knowing she was just fishing for a compliment. Not that she needed one, she felt perfectly hot without the ego boosters, but there really was no such thing as too much confidence...right? "You're stressing, aren't you? Worried that without my bright beautiful aura you'll be like a fail." Leighton joked as she came to a stop. She was teasing, but it was true that Carter tended to think about this stuff more often than most guys. She had certainly managed to realize that Bryce was going to be like most guys she knew. |

All eyes were on Anya Enden-Bedeaux as she guided herself through the foyer and into the Breslin House. Well, not really, but Anya certainly liked to think so. For the first time in a long time, she was feeling excited. The summer air seemed to have that effect on her; however, it did horrors on her hair. Here was the house, so where was the party? So much for being fashionably late, she thought. Bah, Carter could kiss her ass. At least she had shown up, which was more than most thus far. Except Leighton. Of course. Anya swore, the Fairchild girl was like a leech on Carter's back. "Hello Carter, Leighton. Nice seeing you two again." Anya approached the couple and greeted them with semi-false optimism. She figured they'd buy it. They always did. "You've got quite the party on your hands, haven't you?" she mocked. "Ah, well. Early bird gets the butterbeer." She swiped up an ice cold bottle from a table at hand and set it back down immediately. The calories would go straight to her gut. Come to think of it, this dress was already beginning to feel snug around the waist. Needless to say, the party was not yet what she had expected from someone like Carter Breslin, but at least it wasn't home. Home meant family, and family meant Klara, Claude, and God forbid.. Cosette. Then, she didn't know how nearby 'family' really was. |

Juliet and Paton entered the party, looking every bit as though they belonged there all along. But really, they had just found out about it earlier that day and decided to crash. Juliet had caught up with Paton to patch up their somewhat rocky renewed friendship. Ginny and the others had mentionde making an appearance later and Juliet hoped that Lucy got the message she had written hastily telling her about the party. Juliet had used this party as an excuse to dress up, wearing a nice dress she had found during one of her trips to London. She had teamed it with tights and a pair of simple black heels and did her messy hair up. She felt kind of elegant for once instead of modern. But as always she felt sexy. Juliet glanced around the room, her eyes landing on the brunette Jack had been eyeing up and some guy she had never seen before. He was cute, in a 'I know I'm hot and you better beware' kind of way. Thud...thud, thud. Her heart rate jumped instanteously. She glanced back to Paton with a slight flush. She had to act mature, if she learnt anything from John she knew he would want her to be more mature now. Especially since her couldn't hex her. "Hungry?" She asked Paton with a smirk knowing he'd find some alternate meaning to her question. |

This was certainly not the sort of place Paton Raye would like to be seen, or even be. The refined atmosphere of the Breslin house stretched far beyond anything he was really used to. He was ridiculously underdressed in his dark-wash jeans and pale button up. Everything was so completely out of his comfort zone. But at least Juliet was there. She made it better. Snap out of it, he told himself. He had weaseled himself into a highly regarded party on a hot summer night, and he was surrounded by naive girls in short, tight dresses. It was no time to get mushy over Juliet. He had to cut himself some slack, though. She was the perfect addition to what he hoped would turn out to be a fine night. "Hungry?" She grinned, her familiar sly grin. He could not help but to grin back. "Juliet..." Paton sighed. "You know me so well." He held out his arm to her, intending to lead her to the refreshments, despite that it was far from what he really wanted. "Look at that." Irked, Paton rolled his eyes. He was referring to the tall, over-dressed figure that was Carter Breslin. So this was the Durmstrang kid that had been capturing the attention of everyone lately. What an overkill."He dresses like a bloody woman." Edited by Paton Raye, Aug 17 2010, 11:07:33 AM.

Sierra smirked, heels tapping as she entered the Breslin house, Archie's arm around her waist. Her dress fit perfectly as she led Archie through the foyer. "Excited?" She asked, giving him a smile. She could feel the cool of the silver bracelet Archie had given her on her wrist, thankful for the tiny bit of relief. It was sweltering outside, and the sooner she cooled off the better. Sierra rolled her eyes slightly as she saw the Gryffindor 'queen', Juliet, stringing around a boy she vaguely recognized as a Hufflepuff. "Was she invited?" She asked this half to Archie and half to herself. As far as Sierra was aware, neither Leighton or Carter were friends with her, and they were certainly not friends with the Hufflepuff. Sighing, Sierra craned her neck looking for Leighton or Carter. It seemed like no one she knew was there, not that there were many people. Guess we're early. She could feel butterflies in her stomach as she walked with Archie. This was the first time they had been out as an actual couple, and Sierra had to admit that the experience was proving more nerve wracking than she would have liked. She needed to find Leighton. Leighton would be able to calm her down. Then again, Leighton probably wouldn't take too kindly to Sierra and Archie dating, partly because of Kiran and partly because of Leighton's own dislike for Archie. While she was contemplating this, she spotted Carter and Leighton standing and talking to Anya. Sierra breathed a sigh of relief. Her best friend was only a few feet away. Archie's arm still around her, she walked over to the threesome, a smirk on her face. "Hey Anya, Carter, Leighton." She smirked, reaching for a butter beer on the table. "How are you guys?" She was standing next to Leighton which made it easier to get her attention. "Leigh," She whispered, "When you get a chance, I really need to talk to you in private." |

George walked into the Breslin household. George, happy to see his friends for the first time since term ended, felt under dressed when he saw Carter, or who George thought was Carter. George was wearing green boat shoes, a light khaki colored pair of pants, a green button up shirt, and a white skinny tie. George was also sprouting a small beard. Even though there were more Slytherins there than anybody else, George was still destined to have a good time. George saw Juliet Rhodes and Paton Raye over by the snack table. They were holding hands. George smirked. This was Juliet's new fling. George can only describe Juliet in one way, party animal. George liked Paton, he was a good guy, but sometimes he just goes over the top. George thought about leaving them alone to have themselves time, but George couldn't let the timing go by. George walked over to the refreshments. He poured himself a glass of butterbeer, and took a sip. "Hey Juliet, hey Paton!" exclaimed George, trying to get into his sort of obnoxious party mode. |

Carter gazed from his trace and stared impressed at Leigh who came elegantly down the stairs and did a twirl for him. He smiled delightfully, this was one of the rare occasions that Leigh had bothered to wear a dress. And she was pretty damn hot in it. "Impress Leigh, let's just hope that will wow the...people your trying to seduce," Carter smirked as he lifted his blazer up a bit to fit his hands inside his pockets. He had really been hoping for a bit of fun tonight and get his name up there, like it isn't already. Carter chuckled, another one of Leigh's half-insult, half-joke," Don't tell me your ego has gotten to you little pretty head, Queen Leigh?" Carter shook his head and laughed. He moved himself from the foot of the stairs and nearer to the foyer, waiting his guests. "Anya, pleasure to have you here," Carter managed to say without showing a hint of neglect. He wasn't the one to care with welcomes and hellos, he was uncaring. But tonight was the night he got his reputation before he went to Hogwarts, he wasn't going to be the devil just yet. Carter smirked and retorted," Hosts gets the cocktails first." He grabbed a cocktail from the table a took a sip. The door opened and his head turned to see two other people he didn't recognized. They were probably the gatecrashers. Carter smirked, they looked so awkward in the party to him. The girl, she was smoking hot. She was like the more sexy version of Leigh. Not that he would think about Leighton in that way...no they were brother and sister. She did kind of look like she was apart of their class, with the dress and all. The other guy she had come in. Carter shook his head at the presence of someone he would call "the lower class". "Who dragged in the holocaust from Germany?" Carter snarled tilting his head towards Leigh and nodding his head back at the guy. He disliked the kid already. "He looks like he's been in those muggle concentration camps," Carter snarled again. He also noticed he was poorly undressed which made Carter want to boot him out. He didn't know why he was so mad. Maybe because he escorted that hot girl next to him. He shrugged. Carter Breslin doesn't get jealous...yet. Then came another guy whom he didn't know, another gatecrasher perhaps? Carter smiled as two other faces aroused from the foyer. It was Archie and Sierra, Leigh's best friends. They looked like they were together, seeing as that Archie's arm was around Sierra. He gave a questionable glance towards Leigh before greeting his guests. "Hello gorgeous and hi to you too Archie," Carter greeted them with a smirk. Even if they were together, Carter couldn't resist a little flirting. He needed to play and fast. He listened carefully when Sierra leaned over to whisper into Leigh's ear and Carter smirked and leaned forward as well," Hopefully I'll be invited to? This is my party after all..." "Didn't you get the owl? It's only buisness tonight little birdy, I have no one to seduce." Leighton crooned at Carter as she gazed at him with a bright smile. "It's better than my ego going to other...certain parts." Leighton trailed off pointedly before turning her attention to the arrival of a familiar face. Leighton gave what little smile she could spare at Anya. She wasn't exactly best friends forever with the girl, but she found her less annoying than most Gryffindors. Mostly because she knew how to be a bitch and proud of it. Who liked a fake when you could be mean and real? "And Anya, just jolly to see you." Leighton mocked back, her American accent far more noticable in her drawl. Most people found her accent cute, especially since it had mixed with the semi-English one she had going. Leighton's gaze slid to the two newcomers, her eyes flashing dangerously. Though after a moment, a lightbulb flashed in her mind in a bright and dazzling manner. She grabbed Carter's shoulder and whispered in his ear, still balancing the champane in her free hand. "That's her, the one in the white dress." Leighton said with a roll of her eyes. She glanced away as another boy approached the pair. What was with this girl? How come she seeemed to attract guys left, right and centre? "Oh don't get manly on us, or I'll be forced to show some female guests that your balls are in my trophy case." Leighton mocked a devil's smile appearing on her face. She couldn't resist that opening. Leighton managed a genuine smile though when she spied Archie and Sierra approaching. "Hello Archie, Sierra." She greeted, feeling a slight twist in her stomach though in realization that Kiran would probably be coming later and she would see them together. That wasn't something she could dictate though so she kept silent from protest. She only begun to speak when Sierra asked to speak in private later. "Certainly, I have something to tell you too." Leighton admitted, but she wasn't quite sure what she wanted to tell. That she liked a guy that was possibly a Gryffindor? Or that she wanted to strangle the slut that only had touched him? Or that she had slept with Carter and hadn't even bothered to tell her up until now and she would only tell because they were properly meeting? She didn't quite know exactly. Leighton rolled her eyes at Carter's comment. "Oh poor Carter....this is girl's buisness. Last time I checked, you were not a girl." Leighton said, knowing that there were probably many lewd responses that could come from that statement. Edited by Leighton Fairchild, Aug 17 2010, 12:36:48 PM.

Jace stepped through the foyer with Darion next to him, she had at least bothered to do something with herself. He had forced her to let him go with her after her parents had offered that she take him to meet everyone. "Would you stop messing with your dress Dare? You look fine cousin..." Jace rolled his eyes and adjusted his tie so that it was casually loose, just the way he liked it. He and Darion were unintentionally matching, him in a black suit and blue tie and her in a blue cocktail dress and strappy black heels. He had made sure she looked as good as him. Well...maybe not as good as him. They walked out of the foyer to see a group of people that Jace recognized. Darion hooked her arm through his and pulled him over to the group. "Hey Carter, hope this party gets....interesting,"She smirked her famous half-smirk and peered at the one who was obviously Carter. |

"Oh I just know that you are like me....food it's one of my many weaknesses." Juliet smiled as Paton took her arm and they headed toward the table. She felt the gazes of a couple of eyes and turned to see two Slytherins pass. She recognised one as Sierra, as she had been someone to do with Joel and Archie as the guy she found to be one of the few Slytherins she barely got to interact with. She knew that Paton was one of her weaknesses as well a friend she just seemed to forgive time after time. Juliet glanced over berwildered at the sound of a familiar voice. She beamed at George. Hey, I'm glad you came. At the moment it's only mostly snobs. Hopefully Luce, Gin, Crissy, Effy and Rosie arrive soon." Juliet pondered out loud in a hopeful manner. Not that she wasn't enjoying Paton or George's company, it was just that she liked dancing with her female friends as well. She also really wanted to see Lucy. Juliet wasn't able to stop herself rolling her eyes at Paton's comment on the guy. She glanced at the aformentioned 'woman dresser' and found herself meeting the hard gaze of the brunette. She blinked and glanced back still feeling flushed from glancing at the guy for a little too long. "He doesn't look that bad." Juliet commented with a slight shrug as she grabbed the first thing that appeared to drink. She didn't really want to look like a pig and eat like she usually did when it came to food. She tended to just scoff like it was always her last meal. Juliet glanced over as a pair entered the room. She instantly recognised Darion, but found herself surprised to see a guy. She felt like she should know him....she was surprised by her own lack of face memory at that moment. Either way he was cute, all the guy there were very attractive. She felt like fate was waving a temptation sign in front of her. Edited by Juliet Rhodes, Aug 17 2010, 12:32:38 PM.

Sierra ignored Carter's greeting, happy to be able to talk to Leighton. She raised an eyebrow when Leighton mentioned needing to tell her something. "You haven't been holding back on me, have you Leigh?" She laughed quietly, before Carter butted in with a comment. It wasn't that she disliked Carter. On the contrary, she found him pleasant and easy to be around. When it came to secrets, however, the only one she fully trusted was Leighton, and the last person she was going to tell about everything that had happened between her and Archie was Carter. She also needed to talk to Leighton about Italy, since her mother had been reviewing any mail she sent or received by Owl. The knot in her stomach grew. It figured that right as everyone else was relaxing about school, her mother had to make a gigantic deal about every little thing. "You alright, Sierra?" Archie asked quietly, his arm still around her waist. Sierra shrugged, "Fine." Though she knew she was far from it. How was she supposed to say that she was possibly not returning to Hogwarts? She fiddled with the bracelet on her wrist, before flashing Leighton an urgent look. 'Now?' She mouthed, nodding towards a hallway of to the left of the group. |

Juliet led the way, and it didn't take long for a bottle of butterbeer to make its way into Paton's hand. Nothing beat an ice cold drink on a warm midsummer evening.. nothing, with the exception of a pretty girl to enjoy it with. "Cheers." He took a long, vulgar swig straight from the bottle and grinned. Paton Raye really, really didn't belong here. "Hello, mate!" Paton greeted his good friend and housemate George Cavanaugh with high spirits. "It's been a while, huh? How've you been?" He took another drink, and considered trying something a bit.. stronger. Paton listened half-heartedly as Juliet rattled off a list of guests soon to arrive. Paton had no problem with more guests of the.. female persuasion, but he had no intent of letting them whisk Juliet away from him. He was all hers tonight. "Oh please, Juliet," he scoffed. "Just look at the guy. Thinks he's a damn God or someting. Someone should tell him that the Queen of England wants her wardrobe back." Paton would have laughed, were the situation not completely irritating. He could have spit. He really was going to need more than a butterbeer. "By the way, Jules, it looks like you have a fan club." He gestured toward the dark haired female friend of Carter's that was sending fleeting glances in their direction. |

"Taw, such a shame to wear a perfectly good dress without someone trying to get a peak through it," Carter gave a mock frown, followed by a smirk which he could not contain. He looked around the house. It was starting to pile up, to Carter's delight. Hopefully more of his guests and maybe even more gatecrashers in there. He was a tad bit surprised though that Abby hadn't come through those steps and scowl at Carter's ingenious. "Leighton, it seems like your always the one starting kinky conversations," Carter tutted with amusement. "Wow, she's a real hottie. I can see why she's a slut..." Carter said whispering back to her, tilting his head back to reach her ear. "...and why your not," Carter smirked as he made another glance at her. He caught her staring at him and he knew he got her attention. She could be a very interesting game to play. Carter gave a half hearty laugh, he almost let out a hint of nervousness," And I'll show all those males out there your sexy lingerie..." Carter said this out loud, only for Archie, Sierra and Leigh to here. He wasn't going to let a rumour spread about Leigh's sexy life, he was evil but not to those he cared about. But he had every intention to tell her friends about her and Carter. He turned his head to Leigh, he wasn't going to bother with an uber-witty comeback. That would take too long to finish and by then they'd miss everything that's happening. He merely said," Last time I checked you weren't clean." He turned his head round to the new arrivals. They were Darion and what looked like her cousin Jace. Carter looked at them for a while, waiting for them to come to him. He zoned back into their little group when they finally approach him. "I do too. This place needs to shaken up a bit," Carter said, frowning. He noticed how boring it was getting, They needed fun. Now. |

Cosette Bedeaux was a good girl. She respected authority. She studied hard and got good grades. She didn't stay up past bedtime, and she ate all her vegetables. All that and more.. it was all remarkably boring. Cosette hadn't done anything rebellious since.. well, it had been too long. And that was simply assuming that invading the prestigious party of Carter Breslin would be considered rebellious at all. Cosette certainly got a kick out of it, though. Honestly, it wasn't much of a party when she and Avery Griffith arrived. Carter and company were hiding away in the corner, mostly likely too involved in discussing their pure blood and staring into their pocket mirrors to notice them enter. So, she would make them notice. Cosette grabbed Avery by the wrist and lead her to a table across the room, covered in assorted bottles and glasses. She handed her a bottle of.. whatever it was, and took one for herself. Cosette climbed up onto a chair that looked more expensive than she did, and held her bottle to the ceiling. "PARTY'S HERE!" |

Snap. Lucy appeared, a street away from where the party was being held, on the arm of her elder brother. Out of habit, she checked that she hadn't been spliched (again), and checked that her hair hadn't been disfigured during the squeeze. "Thanks for the lift, Chris." Lucy stepped away from him, telling him that was his cue to leave. "Now, be careful tonight." Chris started the same speech her mother had given her at home already, and Lucy rolled her eyes. "You can drink, but make sure you know your limits. Floo me if you need picking up or someone's giving you trouble." Lucy decided not to mention that she could just Floo herself home, if she wanted to. "I'll see you later." He seemed to be running out of steam and was stepping away, so he could Disapperate back to his girlfriend's house. "By the way, you look lovely." And with a swish of his cloak, he was gone. As Lucy clip-cloped her way to the Breslin house, going a little bit slower than usual due to her being a novice in heels, though she was starting to get the hang of it after the Yule Ball. Due to the heatwave that was currently residing over the UK, her hair was off her face and neck, and secured with a fabric flower clip, and her dress was short. This teamed with the heels she was wearing made her legs look longer than they actually were. Lucy loved getting ready for parties more than the actual parties themselves. Apart from the dancing. She loved to dance at parties. The details in Juliet's letter about this party had been sparce, only the time, date, and location. She wasn't even sure who the Breslins' were. She thought there might be one in Ravenclaw, but she wasn't too sure. The house were it was being held was easy to identify, as it was the one with teenagers trickling in and out, and music pumping from it. She entered the house, and took a peek around. No one she knew seemed to be in the hallway, so she scurried to the room where the party seemed to be taking place, and hurried to the refreshments table and grabbed a drink, to help her not be her usual quiet self for the whole night. Feeling the drink (she wasn't really sure what it was, but it tasted like alcohol, so whatever) settle in her stomach, she scanned the room for familiar faces. What was even worse was that the room was full of faces which she had seen around Hogwarts, but no one she was sure she could talk to. But then she saw Juliet, surrounded by a usual crowd of people, and cut through them to greet her best friend, sure she was also cutting off conversations, but confident that she would be forgiven. "Juliet!" She gave her friend a hung around her skinny body, then released her with a laugh. "You have not been in touch with me nearly as much as what is acceptable. I know you're with your friends at the Burrow, but some of us are stuck in our boring houses, with our lame older brothers." Lucy didn't mean that really, she actually loved spending time with Chris, and it was good to see him again after such a long time. "So who are your friends? I think I know Paton already, hi," She greeted the Hufflepuff boy who's name she had just picked up from being at school with him, "But I'm really sorry I don't know anyone else." Lucy pulled a face which she hoped showed that she was sincere. Edited by Lucy Hughes, Aug 17 2010, 01:58:57 PM.

The word had spread about a so-called 'Party of the Century'. Avery herself had been a bit put out that she wasn't invited until she realized it was a rather elitist party. So, of course, she was gatecrashing. And not very inconspicuously either, she thought, as she followed Cosette on top of an expensive looking table and chair. "PARTY'S HERE!" Avery grinned, sure was. She was glad she'd worn her hamburger styled party dress. This hoity-toity get-together needed to be spiced up. Avery thrust her bottle into the air as well, shouting, "HERE, HERE!" she clinked her bottle against Cosette's and downed a good portion of it. Well, what did it matter? She was happy, single, and hamburger-clad. At least, she assumed she was single. James and Avery hadn't really discussed what the recent events meant... ...but today was the party of the century, not a pity-party. Avery took another swig of the bottle and jumped from the chair, leaving it tipped onto the floor. She landed gracefully with a hand on her hip, surveying the place. Definitely a good place for the chaos that was inevitably about to ensue. |

Lucy was used to wearing dresses, seeing as she came from a wealthy family and they enforced a strict dress code . . . sometimes. Lucy had a whole closet full of dresses - almost like every girls dream. She wasn't big on parties either. She was used to being an outcast, sitting in her room writing or painting . . mingling just wasn't her thing. Lucy wanted to hide her face as she stepped off from the limousine, causing everyone to stare. She hated being so rich. Lucy quickly strutted into the house, where it was already crowded with people. The Slytherin was glad she was fashionably late. Sierra was there - someone whom she hadn't seen in forever. However, she got a glass of punch and just stood there awkwardly. |

As he entered the party, Alex straightened his tie and ran a hand through his hair, making sure it was still in the right place. He wasn't sure that this party was going to be worth his time, but he liked to look dapper, and at the very least presentable, at all times. For the party, he had ditched his glasses, as he wasn't sure it was the right place to be speccy. He scanned the room for a friend to kick off the party with, and didn't need to strain. He saw Cosette Bedeaux and Avery Griffith trying to kick off the party with unnessecary noise, and raised his eyebrows in amusement, before heading over to them. "Hello girls," said Alex, grabbing himself a drink as he did so, "We seem to be the perfect combination to get this party really started." He raised his glass to his lips, and eyed the girls over the rim, espiecally Cosette. Over the last year, Cosette and him had been good friends, but he'd be lying if he said that he didn't think she was attractive. Maybe tonight would be his lucky night.
