| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. ![]() A Letter From The Editor With a new editor in town, The Daily Prophet is still committed to excellence. Though there have been many ups and downs in the world of Hogwarts and beyond, never fear! The best is yet to come. Truth and honesty are still priorities for this prestigious production, and we will continue to provide you with trustworthy news. Seeing You Soon, Nirvana Streep Editor of the Daily Prophet Hogwarts Under Fire? If your children return to the corridors of Hogwarts and find them suspiciously emptier, you may have to question just how far parents are willing to go to ensure the safety of their children. Among the missing, though unavailable for comment, are Katriane Quicompoix, sister of the Beauxbatons champion, and Savannah Edkins, rising star in America. Both families refused to comment, but one concerned parent just outside of Diagon Alley had quite a lot to say. "After all the rumors swirling around? My boy, Finley, was so upset--said that...well, let's just say a corridor collapsed, and it wasn't the student's doing. Who knows what Belleford is trying to cover up, but I will not have my young children exposed to that kind of foolishness. It doesn't surprise me that I'm not the only parent withdrawing my children from the school. Home-schooling seems like the best option, or perhaps transferring--the once sterling reputation of this school is beginning to falter, and that is something I cannot support." With several students home for schooling there, how long will Belleford be able to stay afloat, before it sinks into the ocean of its own failure? Ministry Upset Belladonna de Ponte du Lac, along with her husband, Alphonse, have resigned from their positions at the Ministry. The reason that their publicist fed the Prophet was to be expected: "The family would like to devote more time to raising their child together, without the pressures of a workload." Their replacements have yet to be announced. Stay with the Daily Prophet for all of your latest, most honest news. Though there have been changes in our staff, we are still dedicated to giving you the best possible experience. Enjoy! |
