| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Mitchell came to a halt on the far side of the forest. This was the area which was furthest away from the Quidditch Pitch, and also furthest away from the castle. It seemed not only the most logical, but also the most obvious route into the Forest, and he was sure the other Squires would agree. If they entered this way, then there was a lesser likelihood of them being caught. Mitchell had noticed, as he'd been striding across the grass and heading to this area, that all the other Hogwarts, Beauxbaton, and Durmstrang students were heading in the opposite direction, and were far too wrapped up in their own excitement for the Third Task, to even make sense of a small bunch of Slytherins, and a Durmstrang, making their way towards the Forbidden Forest. Once he reached the edge, Mitchell hesitated a moment. There had been no directions given in his letter, and so he presumed that finding the portkey, which was going to shift them out of the castle, was all a part of the Squires' test. It made sense, and Mitchell could only hope that his colleagues were as ready as he was. With all their combined experience, and skills, there was no doubt in Mitchell's mind that they would find that portkey, and they would all make it to wherever their destination was going to be. This confidence wavered for a second, when out of the corner of his eye, Mitchell spotted a slight rustling amongst the trees. Before a minute had passed, a Magical Law Enforcement agent stepped out of the darkness, and stood in front of the group. "W-what are you d-d-doing h-here?" The man questioned, the stutter in his voice evident. Or was it fear? Mitchell was unsure. The Slytherin smirked, and shook his head lightly. It was expected that there was to be an agent at this point of the forest, but because it was so far away from the castle, Mitchell knew that there would only be one person - two at most - stationed here. He'd been considering a great number of things on his way over to this point in the forest, and the possible ways of exterminating the M.L.E men was one of them. Mitchell had decided that it couldn't be too big of a spell, or there would be other agents alerted to the Squires' presence. It had to be short, sweet, and simple. Whipping out his wand from its holster, Mitchell muttered a spell, and a stunner shot from his wand. It hit the man square in the chest, and in a moment, the M.L.E agent had collapsed to the floor in a heap. Luckily for Mitchell, and the rest of the Squires, the spell that had erupted from his wand hadn't let off too big of a light, and so there was only a minuscule chance that the people in the castle had seen it. This chance was minimised even more, considering the group of Squires which now surrounded the area, and blocked the potential view that people in the castle may have. They'd have to have jolly good vision to get a clear idea of what was happening, too. With that thought in his head, Mitchell lowered himself, so his knees were centimetres away from the floor. His eyes remained cold, callous, and reflected no emotions that Mitchell may have been feeling. He simply looked down towards the M.L.E guards face, and made sure to keep his face nondescript. The agent looked terrified, and his eyes were wide in horror. Mitchell responded to this horror with one simple spell: "Obliviate," That should give the group time to get away, and should the guard be asked anything (which he wouldn't, because he wouldn't be discovered until they returned, anyway), then the man would have no idea what to say. The man would have no idea who he was, for that matter. Mitchell decided he'd leave it up to someone else to levitate the body, and dump it into the forest somewhere. Without further ado, Mitchell took a step into the forest, and tilted his head to the side, to address one of the Squires whom was walking beside him. "Which way now then?" Julian walked beside Mitchell and watched with a cold expression as he dispatched the guard with ruthless efficiency, wiping his memory as an added measure. Without even hesitating, he drew his own wand and with a casual flick sent the guard hurling through the bushes where he landed somewhere nearby with a dull thud! "This way," he motioned, taking the lead from Mitchell and veering off to the left, deeper into the Forbidden Forest. As if sensing they were getting closer to their target, the surrounding air began to get colder, as if warning them to stay away. But the Forest was not to know that they were the ones to be wary of and they had nothing to fear. He pocketed his wand as he strode along, not wanting to appear overly cautious to his Squires. Julian wanted to appear as if he feared nothing yet for all his bravado and ease concerning the Knights of Walpurgis, he couldn't stop a rampaging werewolf from attacking them, or whatever else the Forest could throw at them. Still, his reflexes were quick enough that whatever happened he could get the required spell off in time to avoid harm. His letter had been slightly different to the others. It too contained the message regarding the Portkey, but it also mentioned leaving the act of finding it to the other Squires, to determine the true gems amongst those selected. With that in mind he dropped back amongst the group. |

Precious, who wasn't too far from Mitchell and Julian, quickened her pace to catch up with the rest. She watched as Julian relocated the guard's body somewhere into the forest. The thud was loud enough to be heard from her location. She finally caught up with them, smirking as she adjusted her green skirt. "Where do we go from here?" she asked Mitchell, expecting him to know the answer. Then Julian passed by them, and without waiting for an answer, she followed him. |

Cole picked her way quickly and lightly to the front of the group, her bare feet pale against the dark forest floor. She was nearly bubbling with excitement, her long blonde ponytail bouncing and swishing at her back. As she danced past Precious she very gently touched her fingertips to the small of her back. Cole passed her and glanced back, a little smile on her lips. "Miss me?" She moved a little more slowly, catlike in her predatory prowl. She could nearly feel that prickle of magic on her skin, the way it electrified the air. It was a taste, an instinct. They were close, she could tell, just a bit deeper towards the heart of the forest, she thought. "A bit farther in, I should think," she whispered into the dead air, more to herself than anyone else. She reached for her wand, just in case and veered off a little, headed deeper into the woods. Though it was perfectly daytime beyong the forest's reach, inside it was dusky, offering little to no protection. But she didn't mind. Fear was for people who were...not Cole Abott. She stifled the little chill that raced down her prominent spine. Now was not the time to be a sissy. |

Collin zig-zagged his way into the forest. He could sense some uneasiness around him, although his peers kept their cool. The sight guard's body being flung into the forest didn't bother him, nor did the fact that he was unconcious. He hadn't seen what spell had been used on him, but he wasn't what he came here for anyway. Just a minor casualty, if anything. It was significantly darker in the forest, even though it was still mid morning. For him, on the other hand, it didn't even occur to him to feel uneasy. Sure, this 'tea party' probably wasn't going to be a cakewalk, but the creatures that lived in the forest didn't scare him. It was easy to keep his composure. Collin moved with grace over the uneven floor of the forest, keeping alert for signs of anything questionable. The air was getting colder now and an involuntary chill shook his spine. His insticts told him to turn back- feeling the hairs on the back of his neck rise in protest as he stepped deeper into the forest. Even the trees seemed menacing now, but nothing so trivial as these senseless fears were going to keep him from being involved with the Squires. This was an opportunity of a lifetime. No way was he going to pass it up. He smiled, motivated now. The cool air now enthralled him, as if it were inviting him deeper into the unknown. The portkey must be far back, he thought. He quickened his pace, joining Julian and Mitchell. If they were going to find this portkey, he wanted to be one of the first ones to touch it. Edited by Collin Wickham, Jun 26 2010, 09:39:38 PM.

Dmitri had drifted near the back of the group. When booming sounds erupted and the sky flashed with the light of fireworks, his head turned. He picked up the pace, moving with the group, who were mostly silent except for the underbrush crunching under their feet. The sooner they were there and returned, the better. |

Claudia, having some difficulty walking in her wedge heels though the wild unpredictability that was the Forbidden Forest. She attributed the silence that most of the group was maintaining to the private thoughts one has before diving into a challenge. Tucking her coppery hair behind her shoulder, she stopped, looking from right to left. Her gray eyes scanned the landscape, looking for their portkey. There was a rusted over rapier, sticking straight out of the ground, not twenty feet away. Walking closer, she stood near it, seeing the barely legible seal of the Knights of Walpurgis. "Here," she called to the others, standing back. No turning back, then. She touched the handle, only to feel that familiar tug at her navel, and then she was gone. |

Cole's eyes glimmered hungrily as Claudia announced the presence of the Portkey. Swiftly she lunged after the redheaded girl, her bare feet carrying her nimbly over the crackling underbrush. She wrapped her thin fingers around the Portkey and steeled herself against the nauseating lurching feeling in her stomach. Just like that, Cole Abott vanished. |

A chill ran down Precious' spine as someone touched the small of her back, and then Cole appeared. She was a bit taken back of Cole's act of flirtatiousness, but Precious simply shrugged it off. "Keep dreaming." hissed the Slytherin, fixing her gaze on the trees ahead of her. Soon enough, Dixon had found the portkey. After Cole had gone, Precious reached for the handle, and vanished. |

Everyone spread out in search of the portkey. Stepping back from his part of the woods toward Claudia's voice. He felt strangly drawn towards the rapier. Even in it's rusty and forlorn shape it seemed fitting. Everything was perfectly set up for this meeting. Collin too, grasped the steel and disappeared. |

Julian watched with a twisted satisfaction as each of his Squires took the nerve to commit themselves and touch the Portkey. He had been curious as to whether when they found it someone would chicken out. Dire consequences would have been the result but fortunately for all involved nobody had. Julian was the last to touch the rapier stabbed into the ground, yet they all simultaneously vanished into thin air as the Portkey activated. |

Hellius and Addie entered the forbidden forest. "I remember when I came out here on an almost regular basis," Hellius reminisced, flipping open the lid of the box of cigarettes in his pocket. He slid one out of the squished box, along with his lighter. "Hah, remember first year?" he snickered, placing the cigarette between his lips. "I don't." Hellius struggled to light the lighter. The shifting sand sound seemed to resonate throughout the forest, somewhat taking attention away from the natural sounds of nature. The night time air was cold and crisp and the atmosphere made the hair stand up on Hellius' arms. "Not a lot of it, anyway." Taking a few quick drags to get the cigarette started, Hellius blew the smoke out, away from Addie, into the light wind blowing in their faces. "Though, heh, I do remember being knocked out once or twice 'cause of John, the slimy bastard. Whatever happened to him? Last time I saw him he was all up in this one girl's business." "Yeah, first year is a but of a blur for me. Though I do remember chasing you around constantly." She laughed softly, keeping her voice quiet. Something about the forest just made her feel like she needed to be silent. Maybe it was the fact that it housed deadly creatures? "I remember third year, when the red caps attacked us." She glanced around warily, before glancing back to Hellius, who seemed to be perfectly at ease. In fact, more than that. Not only did he seem more at ease, he seemed, well, relaxed. Addie turned her head to the side as he lit his cigarette, not liking the smell it gave off. "Not really sure, but if he isn't around I have to hold Quidditch tryouts again." She sighed, shaking her head slightly. "You're still my beater for next year, right?" |

"Oh, yes. You're so cute when you're angry - like an irritated baby hypogriff," Hellius smirked, taking another drag. He silently hoped that the smell of cigarettes would attract a curious cat or a curious creature. ...if it was hungry enough. "The red caps... were kinda dumb, don't you think? I mean, hell, we just hid in a tree and that was that. Unless I'm not remembering correctly. Adrenaline ruled me that day; I don't remember all that well." Hellius sighed and tapped some ash from the tip of his cigarette. " Blud~geon, blud~geon..." he repeated in a sing song voice. "Mhm! Yeah, sure." |

She scowled, darting a glare in his direction through the dark, though it quickly dissolved into a faint smile. "Well, it's certainly nice to know I'm taken seriously." She paused, thinking back the the events of that night. The thing in Hellius had attacked her and she'd accidentally used her elementium for the first time. Then the red caps came, and the two of them hid. "I suppose so. Though, they were running from something else, weren't they? So, it may make sense that they didn't bother with us much." She commented thoughtfully, before grinning at his final comment. "Good, because I would have made you either way." |

Julian and the other Squires had apparated back into the Forbidden Forest with a faint pop! He landed gently on the dirt, bending his knees to absorb the fall, before straightening up and dusting himself off, "Now, quickly, back up to the school before they notice your absence." He did not include himself in his concerns, if only to further elevate himself above the rest. After what had transpired he did not feel like putting on the show of being the snide, superior Slytherin, despite the fact that they had won the House Cup. Where normally he would have relished in rubbing it in Nightshade's face, he wanted time to think without the distractions of the huddled masses. Julian watched as the Squires made their way towards the edge of the Forest, disappearing into the open spaces of the Hogwarts grounds. Once they left the treeline they vanished from his view. Now alone he set off to his right, not getting any deeper yet not getting any closer to leaving either. He had killed a man; a memory he was now reliving over and over in his memory. The cry of anguish that escaped the man's lips replayed in his mind. And yet it did not disturb him. In fact, it had shown Julian a side of himself he had only talked about. For years he had talked himself up to others, making himself seem capable of anything. And though he had assumed that was what he was truly like, until tonight he had never crossed that fine line between cauging pain and taking a life. He had used Dark spells before, he had used Unforgivables before, but they had only been to cause pain. And yet the final piece in the jigsaw had been put into place; he had taken his first life and he had relished in the experience. And now he knew for sure who he was. As he made his way through the shadows he could hear the wind whistling through the trees around him. Occasionally a hoot or the sound of hooves could be heard but nothing to cause him any concern. Yet after five or so minutes of walking he heard the unmistakable sound of voices. Edited by Julian Kahn, Aug 15 2010, 06:17:12 AM.

"Pah, how would you've done that? I'm not the easiest to blackmail," Hellius licked his lips which were barely twisted into a wry smile. Taking a final drag, Hellius stopped walking to drop his cigarette and stomp it out in the dirt. Hellius looked around out of compulsion. He checked over his shoulder, reliving where they had been, where anything or anyone could be. His eyes darted to the trees and checked for any sign of movement; shadows, displaced twigs, branches, silhouettes. Though Hellius felt at home in the forbidden forest, he still needed to keep on his toes. Regardless of his elementium and his magic, there were plenty of creatures out in the world that could get the upper hand. Namely two legged creatures with skin and hair and noses and faces who look a lot like him. Squinting, he took a deep breath and faced forward again. He frowned - smelling something on the wind. The scent confused his nose; it was salty, but at the same time it reeked of fish or a rotting animal. He sniffed a few times in quick succession; like a dog. "Something..." Hellius' ear twitched as a twig snapped in the distance. "Doesn't seem right..." Raising his right arm, Hellius tapped the wand holster beneath his armpit along his ribcage; catching his wand as it was released from the mechanism. In one fluid motion, the Gryffindor almost flew through the air and pressed himself against a tree. He quelled his breath, making each and every breath shallow and reserved - quiet. He peered around the side of the tree and around the entire area; trying to assess the situation, the spots for cover, and the potential battleground. "Addie, get behind cover," the Gryffindor murmured. |

"I would have figured it out." She shrugged, grinning faintly and glancing around the trees. She'd been in the forest several times over the years, and nothing good had ever come out of it. Addie slowed her pace as Hellius looked around, suddenly on edge. Something didn't seem right? The girl frowned, gripping her wand and glancing around them as well. Her eyes widened slightly as he pressed himself up against a tree, nodding quickly as he told her to take cover. Just what was going on? What could he sense that she couldn't? Addie pressed herself to one of the trees near his. |

Julian watched from behind a tree as Hellius, somehow, detected his presence and drew his wand. The Gryffindor's eyes scanned the surrounding area, searching for his exact location. Not fearing either of his prey in the least, well he was perhaps wary of Hellius but certainly not Adeline, he stepped out calmly from his cover and declared himself. "No need to be scared, Hellius. It's only me after all." His smirk suggested otherwise. "A romantic Forest walk. My, my, Nightshade will be upset." Edited by Julian Kahn, Aug 15 2010, 05:12:44 PM.
