| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Margo stumbled into the Great Hall, looking around the almost-empty room in frustration. She was the first student there, save for a gaggle of first years that had apparently gotten out of class early (or was it second years? Jesus, when did they start getting so small?) Not even James, who had spoken to her only the bare minimun in Potions, though he promised not to be mad, was there. Since she was one of the first there, Margo decided to sit at the far end of the Gryffindor table, opposite where she had always sat. Selecting a seat, she sat down, observing the veiw from this new and interesting spot. After a moment, however, she decided that it was strange, unsettling, and unpleasant. She packed up her belongings and moved to the other end of the table, where she had always sat before and would probably always sit forevermore. |

Kiki walked into the Great Hall, half-asleep from her nap in Magical Concepts. Yawning hugely, she trudged over to the Hufflepuff table, set down her napkin, and reached for one of the asiago turkey sandwiches, and a bag of lightly-salted crisps. "May I have this toasted, please?" she asked aloud, and her wrap disappeared off her plate, and reappeared, seconds later, piping hot and lightly toasted. |

Gweneve walked into the Great Hall, the scent of turkey and chicken sandwitches wafted through her nose. It smelled yummy. She walked over to the Gryffindor table and sat down, placing her bag directly on the seat beside her, ensuring to save it for someone worth sitting beside her. It had been a long day, but a very educational one. Perhaps one of the better days of her year here. Eve took a sandwitch and bit into it, watching everyone around her. |

The Great Hall was not very crowded as of yet but more and more students were piling in and it wouldn't be long before the loud sounds of chattering filled the room completely. Finn walked to the Hufflepuff table and sat down, feeling a bit bored. He wondered when his friends would be coming, and tapped his fingers impatiently on the table top. |

Hmmm... Precious' blue eyes were staring at the space before her, her mind in different places. She had this faraway look in her eyes, which gave away the fact that she was in deep thought. Twisting her plump lips, Precious absentmindedly tapped her finger nails against the table. The Slytherin table, the only place where she'd ever sit in the hall. As of now, Precious was feeling a bit lonely and was in the look out for company. Even Genesis, the girl who had annoyed her so much, was welcome to start up a conversation. It was a nasty and empty feeling. A feeling no one should deserve. |

Ginny and Criselda slipped into the Great Hall and sat themselves down at the Gryffindor table. Ginny filled her plate with food and began to eat, hungry from having skipped breakfast. At a pause, Ginny smirked at her friend. "Are you gonna ask me what's going on, or I should I fast-forward through the lecture and skip right to the story?" She hoped that some light teasing would help put things right between the two. (OOC: CRAP POST. Eya, you know why) |

Criselda dropped her utensils with a silent clatter and eyed Ginny with mock anger. "What, you expect me to believe that you could tell a story with an empty stomach?" She smiled. "I want you to tell me everything, starting from the time you left me in the dorms up to this morning, before Potions." "And when I say everything, I mean, everything." |

(OOC: another crap post, but at least it looks long) Ginny smiled. Phew. At last, all would be forgiven, if she just told the full story. It wasn't that much of a stretch. She owed Crissy the full story, anyway. "You mean last night when I left the common room? Well, I went to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom--I was originally on my way to the kitchen--and I saw Trina go in there. We made up, sort of." She trusts me with a huge secret. Does that count? Ginny paused to take a sip of water and continued. "It's complicated. But we can be in the same room without tearing each other apart now." She smirked a little. Things sure were different now. "This part of the story," Ginny cautioned, "is the long one. So the other day, I met Beth Snape, right? Well, you'll never believe this--" She leaned across the table so she could talk quietly. "Beth asked me to switch places with her. That wasn't me in Transfiguration this morning; it was her. And I went to DADA instead. That's why you thought I was in two places at once, because technically, I was. Sort of." Ginny beamed. Now her friend knew the... And when I say everything, I mean everything. ...Entire truth. She was going to have to say it some time, so why not now? "And, as you saw, Dave's back," she started slowly. Ginny didn't even know what to say about this. She hadn't told her friend much about any of it. The last time Criselda had gotten a real explanation was on Christmas, when they were sitting in the Hospital Wing and Ginny was fretting about Dave having saved her life. So... where could she begin? "So during Defense Against the Dark Arts, I was disguised as Beth. About midway through class, I left. After Precious got kicked out of the classroom by the substitute, which was pretty hilarious." She paused here and allowed herself a giggle. "Anyway, I went to the library and he walked in. I was pretty... surprised." Surprised was quite a mild word for how Ginny was feeling, but it would have to do. Now she'd told the full story. Almost. Save for the words that were impossible for her to say. |

"Oh, that's good. Yeah, you kinda told me in Transfiguration this morning..." Criselda said doubtfully, growing more suspicious about Ginny. Did she forget that she told her? Her thoughts raced as she searched for a possible explanation, and nearly choked on her food as Ginny finally ended her suspicions. She reached for a glass of water as a large chunk of pork blocked her throat, and gulped a generous amount. "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME, GINEVRA!" Criselda said incredulously, a little too loud. A few heads turned their way and she impatiently shooed them off. "People must learn to be less nosey." She rolled her brown eyes and turned to Ginny again. "Do you know how that could possibly endanger your school life? You could be expelled for all that's worth!" "I thought that there was wrong this morning. I knew their must be some kind of mumbojumbo going on. You never greet me with just a 'hi' -- and without my name!" She started to loosen up a little. "No matter how shitty you felt, you always greet me with a hug. That was like, I don't know, customary. That sparked my suspicions about you. And with you being okay with Trina next, but I asked you --er, Beth-- and well, you--she--WHOEVER-- said that you made up." "You sneaky little child. You got me worried!" Criselda smiled, relieved that she finally knew what had happened. "Mhmm, yeah. I saw. And I also saw that priceless look on your face when he approached you in Potions." Criselda snickered, trying to chew more slowly --and tenderize the food-- now. She understood, even if Ginny didn't tell her. She knew from the day after the Ball, then their date in Hogsmeade... Yes, Crissy knows. Oh, how she missed that feeling. "I should have seen that. And she's sitting all by herself. I wonder where her supposed friends are..." Criselda looked at Precious then at Ginny again. "Surprised? Why should you be? If I were you, I would've ran into him arms wide open, regardless of the place." |

Archie walked silently to the Slytherin table, feeling light-headed. So he didn't finish his potion. Tough luck. He needs that to get into the ministry, or to get a decent --hence, acceptable to his father-- job. His only hope now was to pass the OWLs and to be able to do that, he needed to study. Professor Tortal was right, he needed a visit, maybe more, to the library. And a tutor. He looked at the doors, hoping Sierra would come in and maybe put some light into his day. Sierra helped him keep his thoughts in check, especially when he's thinking about Kiran. He felt wrong that though he has some kind of a relationship (if that's how you call it) with Sierra, he keeps thinking about Kiran. He felt like he lost more than just a girlfriend. He also lost his bestfriend. Archie sighed and tapped the table, glancing around and catching a glimpse of Precious Hindert alone. She looked like she was lost in deep thought. Rarely did he see her like this. Usually he'd find her with Mitchell Kalvor or with one of her friends. Archie debated whether to approach her or just keep to himself, worried about her possible reaction and the others', once they see him sitting with her. He stared at the unusually quiet Hindert, thinking about the right action. OOC: Prec, tell me if you want to RP. If you don't, or if Precious is not in the mood, then just ignore him. Trina walked into the Hall, arms linked with Melanie's. Together, they sat down; Trina slamming her bag on the table and Melanie putting hers down gently. "Is it okay if I eat ahead of you, Lanes? I'm starving. I hardly ate breakfast. I'm not gonna wait for Jack, too." Trina smiled as she helped herself to a clubhouse sandwich, a handful of chips and a large goblet of orange juice. She felt ravenous for the first time in a while, and her eating again reminded her of the many things she needed to be done. Trina looked around for any sign of Ginny and Aislinn, hoping to find help in them. She looked at Melanie again, who was busy scanning their next lesson, and felt a pang of guilt for keeping everything from her. She couldn't tell any of the Rave Five about it yet until she perfectly knew what to do about it. Ginny was in the other table with Criselda, and looked like they were in deep conversation, so she decided to talk to her later. And Aislinn wasn't in the Hall yet. She breathed silently, trying not to let Melanie know what was going on. And Jack, would she tell Jack? He deserved to know, too, right? But what would he say? What would he do? It wouldn't be fair if she kept things from him, but she felt like she needed to keep him in the light first and focus on their relationship and make up for the time they've spent apart. That seemed fair... Enough. She hung her head and closed her eyes for while. Alright, Trins. You can do this. Start from the easiest and closest problem. "Oh great, we have History of Magic next!" Trina suddenly blurted out, feeling helpless. She was into more trouble than she expected. She wished Jack would come in already and just kiss her and make her forget about everything even just for a while. Just for today. |

Aislinn entered the Great Hall, meandering over to the Ravenclaw table to join Trina and Melanie. "Fine then, rush off and leave me!" she muttered in mock indignation, though the expression on her face made it clear she was joking. Taking a seat and allowing her bag to fall off her shoulder, she picked up a crisp green apple and bit into it, savouring the crunch and the sweetness. "History of Magic? Well, it could be worse, I suppose," she responded as she too glanced at her timetable. Sneaking a glance across at Trina, she noticed that the girl seemed a little tense. "Everything alright?" she mouthed, making sure not to catch Melanie's eye. |

Toby walked into the Great Hall, heading towards the Ravenclaw table instead of his usual seat with his fellow Hufflepuffs. The thing he liked least about exams - mock or otherwise - was the fact that there was no opportunity to talk; being in a room with people he had not seen for ages but was unable to talk to was his idea of hell. "Hey girls, d'you mind if I join you?" he asked as he approached Melanie, Aislinn and Trina. Without waiting for an answer he took a seat and smiled widely at them, reaching out for a plateful of the nearest available food to sate his hunger. Grilled chicken; not bad.

Diana trudged into the classroom, slumping dejectedly onto the red tablecloth of the Gryffindor table. She wished for some Firewhisky, but all that filled her goblet was pumpkin juice. Sipping it, Diana wondered offhandedly if the day would get any worse. Setting her hair on fire in Potions wasn't enough, she had to incur the wrath of the meanest professor at Hogwarts. "Awesome job, Diana. That was the end of your career as an Auror." she said to herself, rubbing her nose. |

Connor sat down next to Diana, at the Gryffindor Table. He sighed, and glanced upwards. Did the rain really need to keep going for the whole day? Seriously. Connor rolled his eyes, and helped himself to some tomato soup. "You left pretty quickly after that lesson, Di..." Connor stated, his tone slightly questioning. "What's up?" He asked. "Er, aside from the whole 'setting-hair-on-fire thing," A small smile lit up his face, because, looking back on the incident, it was kind of amusing. Though, it hadn't seemed so at the time. And Connor somehow doubted that Diana found it very funny. |

Diana lifted her head. "Banni said that I could be injured or not even good enough to make a professional Quidditch team. So I have to find another occupation. I wasn't educated with muggles, so I'd have to get a job in the Wizarding world. I suppose Auror is out of the hat, after that display in Potions." She sighed, crunching a crisp into crumbs... "I'm just feeling pretty hopeless, right now. I don't even think I can eat." This was probably untrue, because Diana usually ate more than most girls. |

Diana nibbled a baby carrot nervously. "I just don't know what will happen. What if I'm injured? What if I'm not good enough?! I barely have a place on the Gryffindor team. This whole future thing is freaking me out a little, Con." Diana hadn't even checked the damage to her hair yet. |

Precious hated to seem like such a loser. Well that was the thing: she wasn't a loser. She was just . . . seated alone. There was a difference. Not that Precious would ever be such a low life but, the thing about being on top of the world, was that it gave you a long way to fall. Sighing lightly, her eyes landed on Archie Emory. One of the Slytherins that never interested Precious. He was hanging with the unpopular Slytherins: Leighton, Kiran, and Ella. A time to be so small . . . "Well Arch, why aren't you off snogging your girlfriend?" asked Precious, not even glancing at the boy. She pursed her lips, the empty feeling still resting deep in her chest. |

Rosie entered the Great Hall, after a long, boring class. She was suddenly happy, now that Magical Concepts had ended. But it was still a bit weird. Perhaps she just needed some talk, some time with her friends... Some time to just be herself. The girl headed towards the Hufflepuff table, which for some reason felt a bit empty. Were there people missing? Rose wouldn't waste her time on it. She quickly scanned for someone, and immediately saw Finn. With a smile, she sat across him. "Hey Finn!" She exclaimed giggling slightly, probably a bit too loud. |
