Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

John entered the dungeon corridor

Not thoroughly excited by the next class on his schedule, John was going as slowly as possible to class, even if it meant that he would be late. He was busy thinking of an excuse, his temprature was betraying him, he slowly stepped down the corridor. "Think brain, think. I need an excuse not to go to Potions" John pushed himself.

Nothing, and now the door to the dungeon was in sight. "ugh" John thought, it seriously appeared as thought there was no alternative to class.

Mitchell entered the Dungeon Corridors, walking at a brisk pace. DADA hadn't exactly been a productive lesson, so Mitch hoped that Potions would go a lot better. In fact, he didn't hope - he knew. Mitchell had discovered he had a... talent for the subject (otherwise, he wouldn't consider a future career in it, would he?). Mitchell's feet scuffed along the stone floor, and his fingers brushed along the cold wall as he made his way to his next class. Up ahead, Mitchell could see a Gryffindor boy, but he couldn't quite make out who.

As Mitch proceeded down the corridor, he slowed his pace a little. Automatic instinct? Perhaps. But Mitchell now had a very clear idea as to who was ambling in front of him. A small smirk tinged on his lips, and Mitch felt something stir in his stomach. He hadn't forgotten the time, a little while back, when John had cast a spell on him. Mitchell could still feel the embarrassment that had come with singing some muggle-song right outside the Great Hall.

Now, Mitchell could hold a grudge for a long time. He wasn't one to forget easily, well... unless he'd somehow given his opponent some kind of payback. Ugh. It sounded so typical. Mitchell ground his teeth together, and came to a stop. John was moving at such a pace that, really, he wasn't going to get far away. But Mitchell's was getting a little nervous. Was not really the time, or the place? He turned his head, noting that the corridor was deserted. It was just him, and John.

Still, you could never be too careful. Mitchell crossed sides of the corridor, so he was standing in the shadows. He wouldn't be seen - not easily, anyway. Smirking smugly, Mitchell withdrew his wand, and aimed at John. Then, without any more hesitation, he fired a spell at the boy.

John was almost at the door. He could hear someone walking behind him but he didn't bother to see who it was. So many different things inhabitted the magical Hogwarts castle that John wasn't bothered by the sounds of footsteps. John continued on the path, ignoring the scuffling footsteps. However, all of a sudden, they stopped. John's eyes narrowed, he slowed himself down and turned around, there was no one there. Odd, there had been no sound of a door opening, and ghosts which were capable of walking through walls did not make a sound as they moved. Trying to look harder down the corridor, sure enough there was a figure, standing in the shadows, hidden away from the light. John was about to call, his mouth open and ready to wonder who it is, the figure was staring intently at John.

John's gaze dropped and understood why the figure was concentrating so hard on John, his wand was out and aimed directly at John, the last thing he saw was the light of the spell illuminating the corridor and the face of Mitchell Kalvor was illuminated by the light of his own spell. John was about to shout, when the spell hit him, the word etched on his face as he keeled over and hit the ground.

John's insides felt like hot snakes were crawling through his body. John shivered and twitched. The face of Mitchell Kalvor etched into his brain, he was powerless and couldn't move. John tried calling, yelling, screaming for help but no sound was made. The only sound in the corridor was the the sound of John's twitching body slapping against the cold hard dungeon corridor floor.

OOC: Cheers.

Soon after John had hit the floor, Mitchell slowly started to creep forwards. His back edged along the wall, and he stayed within the shadows. Hopefully, John hadn't seen him, but, something made Mitchell doubt that. Perhaps it was the look of familiarity, or recognition upon Holland's face as he had fallen to the ground, that stirred up the thought. Either way, Mitchell realised he hadn't quite been as secretive as he'd hoped. It was all about planning, but Mitchell hadn't really planned this attack at all. It was more a spur-of-the-moment decision, and that set Mitchell on edge.

Mitchell didn't know what to do next. He hadn't considered the possibilities yet. He couldn't do anything too dangerous, or even dark, because, there was a risk of getting caught. Mitch didn't know John well enough to judge if he was going to be a tattle-tale, but, he didn't want to take the risk of getting expelled, or worse. So, instead of using a well-known curse of some sort, Mitchell decided to keep it simple. He muttered a spell, and watched as the light hit Holland's body. It wasn't a dark spell, and it wasn't particularly dangerous. But it would do sufficient damage to the boy.

Mitch glanced back down the corridor. It was empty, and silent. He could just walk into Potions right away, and no harm would be done. But even then, Mitch ran the risk of being discovered. He was slightly late (much to his dissatisfaction) and surely someone would notice that he was the last person to enter the classroom. A small frown appeared on Mitchell's forehead, and he made a snap decision to conceal the body of John. That way, he wouldn't be found quite as easily, and Mitch was less likely to come under suspicion. Waving his wand, Mitchell levitated John's limp, and bloody body, and walked a little way up the corridor. Then, when a sufficiently dark, and somewhat concealed corner came into view, Mitchell let the boy fall, and walked back in the direction towards the Potions classroom.

Mitchell tucked his wand away, then entered the room, ready for his next class.

[ooc// I decided not to specify on the spell, because, I couldn't find a particularly appropriate one. And, this way, you have much more leeway to interpret just how much damage the spell has done to John. Personally, I'm imagining something sectumsempra-esque, just not quite as... evil/complex/dark. But whatever effect you want the spell to have had on John, is completely up to you. Also, I decided to have Mitch conceal the body, because it seems like something he would do. Hope you don't have too much of a problem with this.]

John felt three lines of pain shoot up his face, he could feel the wounds becoming scars. John continued to writhe in pain, unable to do much else. Mitchell Kalvor stood over his body, John could see the cogs moving inside the boys head. John feared the worst, knowing that Mitchell would probably not have the skill to kill John, however, John feared that Mitchell could have learned some dark enough spells off his father to cause some damage.

To John's surprise Mitch didn't hit John with another jinx, instead contenting to levitate John's body in a dark corner of the dungeon corridor letting John's limp body fall haphazardly onto the stone floor. His nose cracked and blood spurted out of his nose. John was most certain it was broked. John was hunched over, still unable to will himself to move, he hunched his back and cradled himself. Hoping that a friend would find him sooner or later.

Juliet half stumbled into the corridors, still wearing her goggles and gloves as she begun her search for John. She didn't know where to begin, the bathrooms or the common room. Then she felt a twinge on the back of her neck glancing around as she slid into the shadows, a somewhat familiar shape passing as she sighed lightly. Something wasn't right. Juliet felt as though she was stumbling into the beginning of a Muggle horror movie.

Juliet walked a little way down, still in the shadows, knowing that she'd get in trouble if caught skipping class. Of course she wasn't probably the only one doing so, but she was the most likely to be caught at this point. Sliding her goggles onto her forehead, she gazed aronud as her foot slid into something solid. Shrieking in slight suprise, she peered down hesitantly only to spot the very person she was looking for. John lay in a less than comfortable position, looking very unshovelled and damaged.

Dropping her bag carelessly onto the floor Juliet staggered slightly as she knelt down to John looking horrified. Juliet stroked John's cheek feeling sick in the stomach as she asked childishly, "John, John are you alright?" She asked before adding after a moment. "Can you hear me?" She added, her eyes wide in horror as she figured what to do next. Juliet knew she'd have to take him to the Hospital Wing, but bigger things plagued her mind then detention at this moment.

John heard someone saying his name. John rolled over and revealed the three scars down his face. He looked up into Juliet's eyes. While he hadn't seen himself in a mirror, Juliet's eyes told John exactly how bad the damage was. John tried to sit up but he had no energy, the spell has sufficiently weakened him. John shook he head in response to Juliet's first question.

"Can you hear me?" Juliet said, her hand sliding down John's face. John nodded, "Hos... Hospi" John tried to speak, but it was difficult. "Hos... pit... al... we...wi...ng" John said, breathing deeply, and trying to remain focussed on being awake until his got to the hospital wing.

Juliet gasped slightly at John. This definitely wasn't the same guy she'd seen this morning, it frightened her immensly. She nodded furiously as she pulled her wand out of her robes pocket and chucked her gloves into her bag before muttering in a slightly shaky tone,

"Wingardium Leviosa." Juliet stood stumbling again as she rushed off with John hovering in front of her off to the Hospital Wing.
