Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Laine made her way idly through the crowded corridor, knowing full well how dreadful Potion's would be. It wasn't her strongest subject, sure she could make some Potions. But no, she wasn't crazy about the subject. What was so enticing about a simmering cauldron, those digusting fumes? You had to use a muggle flame to even start it, and lone behold... most Slytherin's were against Muggles. They were rather hypocritical, weren't they? Grinning at that thought, Laine laughed to herself - and skipped the rest of the way to Potions

Jack exited the transfiguration classroom and was instantly swamped by the stream of students flooding the corridors. He aggressively pushed his way through the younger students, completely ignoring their disgruntled remarks.

As he made his way towards the staircase that lead either up or down, he instead took a sharp turn and stopped, sitting on one of the large windowsills. Perhaps he could catch Trina on her way up to magical concepts class, or would she even notice him, and, if she did, would she bother to stop and talk to him?

Trina let the classroom door slam behind her as she ran after Jack. He saw him take a turn and started to run again, out of breath. She bumped into a sixth year and apologized, but when she looked up, Jack was nowhere in sight. She ran to the direction she last saw him and took the same turn and found him sitting on a windowsill. She took two steps closer and balled her fists, taking time to collect her thoughts and breathe before she spoke.

"You left me." Trina said quietly, inhaling deeply as she tried to slow her heartbeat. Jack was not making her relax; there's so many things she wanted to do that moment. But she was stuck with only one option at that time, and that was to wait and control herself first.

Jack leaned his head back on the window and let the sun pour onto his face, at least, however much there was of it, considering that it was raining. He closed his eyes and massaged his forehead with his fingers, as if suffering from some sort of headache. His insides seethed with anger that Trina hadn't greeted him with open arms, instead embarrassing him in front of the class. What kind of girl rejects her boyfriend? That's the type of thing that Jack witnessed Dave getting from his girlfriend Precious, and he always told himself that he'd never stand for that sort of treatment.

It's not her fault... you know it's not. Trina is a smart girl, and she probably didn't want to look bad in front of her head of house or the rest of the Ravenclaws. You know that she loves you and that she'd never hurt you...

Jack took a deep breath and opened his eyes, and his heart dropped several storeys when he saw Trina standing over him. Was she angry? Trina was never angry, but would she be because of what he had done? Had he embarrassed her as much as she had him?

"You left me."

Those words hit Jack in the chest like a train wreck aimed directly at his heart. Instantly, Jack regretted what he had done; he felt so sorry for what he had done to Trina, his sweet, innocent Trina. How could he hurt her like that? She definitely didn't deserve it. Jack tried his best to look the girl in the eye, but he couldn't bring himself to do it, instead turning his gaze towards the ground.

"I'm so sorry, Trina," Jack croaked in between sobs. He sniffed loudly, but acted like he was fine, aside from the fact that he couldn't take his eyes off the corridor's floor.

Trina pursed her lips to prevent herself from saying anything that would make things worse, and she tried to relax her fists. Jack was there, in front of her, asking for forgiveness. This was what she wanted to hear when he entered the room, this was what she was needing to hear even before he came back. She loves him, and no matter how much disappointment she got from him, she would always forgive him. Always.

But she wasn't prepared to see him cry.

The meaning of the words struck her, yes, but it wasn't until moments after that she realized that he was sobbing.

Jack was crying.

Trina felt her own eyes fill with tears, and sat down on a step below Jack. She was tired of playing tough, of making him feel she was strong; of making him suffer the consequences of his actions. It wasn't her type of game.

She leaned her head on Jack's knee and closed her eyes. "I wish you'd have said that earlier. I missed you. I-I'm sorry, too."

"Are you mad at me?" Jack asked, still focusing his gaze on the ground at Trina's feet. "It wasn't my fault that I got pulled out of Hogwarts, you know that right?" he questioned. As he asked, he felt his insides grow even heavier. Why would Trina think that he would abandon her like that?

"I did my best to write you as much as I could, but you know how the post is nowadays, what with all the stupid new laws and junk around," Jack informed her. "You know that I would never leave you here on my own accord, especially when there are attacks going on. I fought tooth and nail with my parents to let me come back, and once it got to a certain point, I left myself." Jack paused for a moment to let the words sink in. Trina really didn't know of the trouble that Jack went through to come back to her. As he waited for her response, Jack wiped his eyes clean and took a deep, calming breath.

Trina took a deep breath and tried to look at Jack, but he was looking elsewhere. She turned her head to the window and stared at the reflections made by the light. "I was still angry 10 seconds ago... But you know I couldn't get mad at you for long..." She smiled to herself a little and leaned closer to Jack. "Mhmm. I know that..." Trina bit her lip and kept herself from sobbing. "But that didn't keep me from missing you."

"I'm sorry, love... For acting that way..." Trina felt more guilty now that Jack had explained his side. Her behavior did not justify her at all. "To tell you honestly, I wasn't really planning to treat you like that... I was just surprised that you're back and I don't know about it... And the feeling just overcame everything else. You know how much I don't like being caught unprepared. I mean..." Trina sighed and bit her lip, feeling pathetic for talking too much. This was her tendency, to get caught in the moment and talk too much, only to ruin everything.

"Nothing. Nevermind... All that matters is you're here now. With me." She went up a step and sat beside Jack, trying to hide her now scarlet face from view and leaning onto his shoulder.

"Oh... Trina... I wanted to surprise you, that's all," Jack told her, smirking and leaning his head on the top of hers, which was rested against his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around her and rest his hand on her waist, tapping his fingers lightly on her side, as if to tickle her lightly.

"All that matters is that I'm home now," Jack said with a smile. He lifted his free hand to Trina's face and nudged the bottom of her chin with his two fingers, wanting to tilt her head up towards him so he could stare into her eyes.

"You should've told me that before you walked off to that table alone." Trina pouted. "If I had knew then, I would've jumped that table to hug you. I was surprised, yes, but not the way I should be. I'm sorry for spoiling your little plan." She giggled and kissed Jack's cheek.

"Hmm... Promise me you won't leave me again." Trina said lightly, as she tilted her head to glance at Jack. She was serious about that, even if she was trying to sound like she's not. Trina looked up again when Jack tilted her head up, smiling when their eyes finally met.

"I love you."

"I'm sorry, Trina," Jack apologized, sincerely regretting the way he had reacted. It was just like him to lose his patience and overreact, but his feelings for Trina should have been enough to allow him to control himself. He silently made a pact in his head to do so from this day forward.

"I'm not going anywhere, Trin, why would you say that?" Jack asked her in response to her asking him to promise that he wouldn't leave. He had never given her the impression that he was going anywhere. "Oh, you mean leaving you here while I get whisked away? Haha," Jack said in realization. "Alright, I promise to do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again, but if my dad shows up and drags me out of here at wandpoint, then I have little choice, hey?" Jack said with a grin. Trina had yet to meet Phillip Bauer, Jack's father, nor his mother, Elizabeth. He imagined introducing her to them over the summer holidays. As far as Jack knew, Trina also had one pureblood and one muggleborn parent, which was a rarity in itself, let alone the fact that the two of them would share such a similar set of parents.

"I love you, too." It was the first time Jack said it, but all the time he spent away from Trina only made him miss and appreciate her more, and, at this point, he had no problem expressing his true feelings, as she never did. Smiling, he leaned over and kissed her.

Trina just nodded slowly when Jack apologized, suddenly speechless. Why was it so hard to get mad at him? Trina had always been patient and forgiving when it came to Jack, even in the early stages of their friendship. Somehow, Jack has managed to become a bestfriend she needed to take care of in a motherly way, and now in a different, more special way.

"Well..." Trina looked away. "I'm just scared... As always." She looked into his eyes and smiled shyly. "But if that happens, I'm gonna have to beg your dad to take me, too." Trina said defiantly, turning pink and breathing deeply. "They know about me, right? I mean, you've told them that we're... more than bestfriends now, right?" Trina breathed and held Jack's hands. They've been goodfriends for the longest time and she still hasn't had the chance to meet his parents. Was there something she was missing? That maybe he didn't want her to meet them?

Trina smiled when Jack said he loves her, making her forget about her unanswered questions. She smiled after he kissed her and stroked his cheek. "I thought you'd never say that..."

"Hey hey, what's that supposed to mean?" Jack asked with a grin. What had made Trina think that he wasn't willing to return the sentiment of telling her about his feelings for her, like she did for him so often. They had been friends for ages before they started dating, and when they had, it was as if they had been in love since the day they met; they just hadn't acted on it. Jack felt like he and Trina could topple any obstacle, no matter how much they had their slight differences and little disagreements. If that wasn't love, what was it?

Or was he just being naive?

Jack pushed the thought out of his mind. "Of course I've told them," Jack replied to Trina's inquiry. "Coming back to you was one of my main arguments for wanting to return to the school, but I figured you would have already guessed that." Jack smiled at Trina and rubbed her cheek, wiping away the stains of tears with his thumb. "And um, I kind of spoke about you a lot before we were together... I mean, when we were just good friends," he said, blushing slightly.

"If all this drama is done with when the summer comes, maybe you can come visit me, and if it's not, then I'll have to convince them to let me come visit you," Jack told her. "But for the time being, we should probably get to class before we're late. I'd hate to make a Ravenclaw late for class; such a thing would be a tragedy," he said, laughing. Jack stood up, and offered Trina his hand.

Trina blushed deeper when Jack grinned at her remark. How was she going to explain her insecurity? "Well, it's the first time you said it... And I'm just... Pleasantly surprised." Trina smiled giggled, feeling stupid. He's a guy, Trina. Guys have emotional problems. You know that, you've been around this man for too long!

Trina felt herself relax a little when Jack said that their relationship was legal, it made her more at ease. "Really? I'm happy that they know about us. And yes, I've given that a thought." She smiled as Jack rubbed her cheek, and held it in hers when he was done. "Aww... I thought I was just a friend you loved bullying and was always nameless in stories you told your parents." She giggled, kissing his cheek.

"Mom and dad's been asking a lot about you, actually," It was Trina's turn to blush now, as they never got over their race of whoever turns into a tomato first. "I told them about us from the day we became friends and always updated them as to what was happening between us. Mom bet that we'd end up together, dad bet otherwise. But all the same, they're excited to meet you!" Trina beamed, the idea of finally meeting each other's family would mark a different phase in their relationship. It is a turning point; a point in their relationship that would make it deeper. "How about we talk over at dinner tonight, sound good to you?" She smiled wider.

"Oh, professors would love me if they finally see young Jack Bauer coming to class on time!" Trina giggled as she took Jack's hand and stood up next to him, wrapping her arms around him.

"I really missed you."
