Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Though I still feel stupid for being a bitch to him in Transfiguration... But he deserved it, right?" Trina asked doubtedly. She sighed and tapped the table lightly, impatient for the period to end. She didn't know what to tell Trina about the Jack situation. "Well, you shouldn't be mean to him, but dear, he kind of... deserves it." Laney bit her lip. He'd been a jerk, but maybe it wasn't necessary to-- Her thoughts were cut off when Trina suggested that they leave for the rest of the class. Of course they couldn't leave! It was right before the OWL tests! What if Professor Tortal told them something important about the exam? But it was looking more and more tempting. Trina had a point. They were done with the essays, and Melanie would much rather talk to her friend alone, instead of in a class full of people. Uhh, but... Hmm. "No, Trina, we can't leave. You know that. I want to keep my O, thank you very much. I'm sure you don't want your grade to drop before the exams, either." She wanted to skip class. But she wasn't going to. Doing the right thing was so hard sometimes.

"It's his fault I acted that way... If he told me earlier about it, then I would've acted a lot sweeter." Trina giggled silently. "I'm concerned about my grades, too, but uggh." Trina sighed impatiently. "I guess you're right... I hope he dismisses us early, though."

What kind of boyfriend--or anyone, really--just leaves without telling you? No, he deserves at least a little bit of grief for the worry he put you through." Melanie almost wished that she had someone to go through grief with. Her life was incredibly... boring.

The time she had been resting her head on the desk seemed never ending, yet now she was looking forward it appeared to be only a fraction of a second. The world we live in she reminded herself, looking around wondering if the other people had already finished the essay. Putting her hair away from her face, the girl took a quill and started writing. Maybe everything she wrote made perfect sense. Maybe everything she wrote was an absolutely stupid rant about why the world is round. Rosie just wrote everything that came to her mind. The girl took a deep breath as she finished the last sentence. Rosie's Essay!! =D The World We Leave In We, people, live on Earth. The Earth is in the Solar System and the Solar System is in the Milky Way. One can say that every living thing exists somewhere in the universe. But what if we don't? Neither muggles or wizards can be sure of the way everything started. Everyone has their ideas, but whether they are true or not, we don't know. There's a chance that every possibility is wrong. Perhaps there is no truth. Maybe people just are not able to understand it. What if there is no Earth, no Solar System, no Milky Way, nothing? What if none of these things exist, and everything is part of the imagination of a nonexistant mind? What if there's only a supreme creature who controls everything? The list can go on and on and on, but I only know one thing. The real theory of the world is unknown. After re-reading it, Rose didn't know what to expect. Was she even saying something in the essay? But it took so much work to write it, she made herself believe it was fine. And it was, for her, actually. Deleted User	Katriane lifted her head when she heard the bell, her parchment essay stuck to her face. Yawning, she peeled the parchement off of her face, even though the ink had made a copy of her words on her left cheek. Preparing her satchel, Kiki then left for the Great Hall, after dropping her essay onto Professor Tortal's desk.

She stuffed her belongings in her bag again and smiled at Melanie and Aislinn, who were both still there. "Finally. About time." She swung her bag on her shoulder. "Ash, see you at lunch, okay? C'mon Laney! I'm starving!" Trina walked out of the classroom with Melanie in tow, eager to load her stomach for the first time in days.

They had all finished so she didn't personally see why it should be a problem, but this close to their O.W.Ls she was sure he would be looking for any excuse to dock their marks. The lesson passed without event, and as the bell rang she grabbed her bag and wandered to the front of the roof; she was happy to take things at a slower place than the other two, and so she dropped her finished essay on the desk and followed Trina and Melanie out of the room at a far more leisurely pace.

Rubbing his stomach, he suddenly realised just how ravenous he was. "I'm going down to lunch; see you later!" he called to Jennifer and Anca as he left the classroom.

Lunch already? She looked around the classroom as students started filing out into the hallway. I must have dozed off after I finished the essay... She rubbed her eyes a moment, taking note of how groggy she actually was. I am pretty hungry. To the cafeteria then, I suppose. She gathered her belongings--including her paper; she set that down on the Professors desk, and on her way out the door, turned to give him a small wave. "See you later, Professor Tortal."
