Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Care of Magical Creatures Professor Posts: 24 Group: Professor Member #1,411 Joined: Mar 19 2010	Felicity entered the classroom, large stack of papers in her arms. She began placing one sheet on each desk as she waited for the students to arrive. Finally, when she was satisfied that all were in attendance, she addressed the class. "Good morning students. Today, as you know, you will be taking your Care of Magical Creatures Theoretical OWL. I have placed on exam on each of your desks." She gave the students a moment to glance at the exam and judge for difficulty, as she was sure they would, before she continued. "Your exam consists of six questions, all of which are short answer. I do not believe in multiple choice. In the real world there is no multiple choice, either you know it or you don't." Briskly, she walked up to the front of the room and wrote a sloppy 'Exceeds Expectations' on the board. "Now, this is the grade your previous professor required you earn to take a NEWT level of this class. Since I have only been here a short while, I will use her recomendation. However, I am more than willing to exept ANY student so long as they show EFFORT. Even if, heaven forbid, you earn a Troll. And keep in mind, you still have your practical exam, which I have a feeling will be considerably less challenging and more fun." Finally, she walked to the front row of desks and placed her hands on one student's desk top. "I know you are all quite eager to get this over with, but let me say one final thing. I don't expect many of you are planning on taking Care of Magical Creatures at a NEWT level. I would recommend you change this. Even if you are not persuing a career directly involving magical creatures, the lessons you learn in my class will suit you well the rest of your life. Things like respect, communication, problem solving, and caring for other living things. Plus, how often do you get to have Potions outside?" "Well," Felicity said, sitting at the professor's desk at the front of the room, "good luck on your exam. You have as long as you need."
