| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Margo half ran-half walked across the yard, dragging Fera by the hand. It wasn't that she was in a hurry to get to the forest (well she was), but more like she was anxious to get away from the castle and a certain occupant inside. So far, this night was NOT going well. After a moment, however, Margo realized that Fera was probably less than pleased to be being dragged along. She dropped her hand instantly. "Ah, sorry 'bout that." Margo walked the last few steps in silence, before stopping on the edge of the trees that marked the start of the Forbidden Forest. "Well, here we are." |

Fera, now happy she'd finally gotten her hand back, spendt some time blowing at her sore wrist, "I'd like to keep at least one hand, thank you," she hissed, "Next time just tell me to walk quicker, or at least give me a warning!" She looked around, checking if anyone was there, "Ok, just so I won't have to carry you up all the stairs later on, I'd like to go through some things, ok? Firstly, don't touch anything that you aren't one hundred percent certain what is. Secondly, make sure you don't panic, and thirdly... Use your best judge-" Fera thought over it, "Well, don't do anything I woul-" She pulled a face, trying to think how to formulate it, "Just don't die, faint or do something extremely idiotic, ok?" "Not that I don't trust you or think you'll do something idiotic. I just don't want you to get, yeah," Fera pulled up the corners of her mouth in a grotesque smile. |

"Die? Yeah, me neither." Margo didn't mean to be snippity, but she had a lot on her mind. And Fera was being kind of annoying. I mean, really, was Margo going to go around poking strange plants just for the heck of it? Fera was probably just trying to protect Margo, but just 'cause Fera practically lived in the forest didn't mean Margo was an idiot. She shifted back and forth, rocking on her toes and glancing around aimlessly. "So, we gonna go in or what? It's pretty dull standing out here doing nothing." "Uh, yeah," Fera went into the forest, ducking under a branch. She winced as it tore up some of her sweater, not because it hurt, but because Fera would have to attempt to sew it back on later. Fera's thumb was good proof on how terrible she was at sewing. She pulled the branch to her, so Margo wouldn't have to duck. Kicking away some snow, Fera wished she had put on one more pair of socks, "You seem annoyed," stated the girl, "How come?" |

Margo followed Fera into the forest, stepping around the branch Fera had only a moment before. "Thanks." Margo rubbed her hands up and down on her arms, trying to warm them and bitterly regretting not grabbing the extra coat she had planned on. If only she hadn't run into Mitchell. Dammit! Margo angerly kicked some snow up, then turned to face Fera. "Uh, well, ya know, I ran into Kalvor and stuff." |

"Kalvor? Pompous little brat, he thinks he's the world, doesn't he?" Fera snorted, letting go of the branch. Now her hand was free to pull her rags closer to her, "Trust me, next time I see him, I'm going to hex him so bad he'll be begging for mercy," "I'll throw in a bat boogey for you, if you want. Or perhaps he can spew up some slugs instead of that crap he usually spews," Fera laughed, and continued into the forest, "Now, anything special you want to see?" |

Margo's eyes went wide. If Fera does something to Mitchell, he'll know it bothered her. Or worse, he'll know she was talking about it. But they had a fight, so he'd expect Margo to be mad about that, and Fera was Margo's friend, so she'd be mad by extension. And if they didn't do anything, he'd know that it bothered her and she was just ignoring it. GOD! Why did she have to be such a girl?! Should she tell Fera? I mean, Fera must've told her stuff she hasn't told many other people, even if she's never specifically said it was a secret. And Margo and Fera was good friends, best friends. This is the kind of stuff you tell your best friend about, right? Even if it wasn't a real kiss, right? But Fera's not a normal best friend, she probably wouldn't care about that kind of stuff. Fera does care about Margo, though, so maybe she would try to care. I mean, look how protective she got when she found out that Mitchell had upset her. Look at what she was doing for Margo right now, showing her the forest. In the end, Margo decided to tell her. "Well, you see, it's a little more complicated than that." She paused here to let out a nervous chuckle, " I kind of, I kind of, I kind of," deep breath Margo, "Ikindofkissedhim." |

"YOU WHAT?!" roared Fera of the top of her lungs, staring incredelously at her friend. A set of birds took off from a nearby tree. At least Fera hoped they were birds. Fera coughed, her lungs ached from the yell, but yet. Fera would have yelled it again and again, "I misunderstood that. You didn't just say. No, I misheard it, right?" Margo's face did nothing to comfort Fera, and the one eyed girl hit her palm against her forehead, "Margoo, please don't say you like Kalvor. He's not even worthy of kissing dirt from your shoes, much less your..." Fera clenched and unclenched her fist, before ramming it into a tree. The girl snorted loudly as a large amout of snow hit her in the head. Stopping to brush it out, Fera looked over at Margo, "You know he'll use it against you if he finds out. And what in the world possessed you to kiss him? Kiss Kalvor," The two words didn't fit together, they didn't work. It was like eating toxic waste, or petting a alligator covered in poison ivy. The more Fera thought over it, the more sure she was. Margo had just kissed a alligator covered in toxic poison ivy, and Fera did not like it. |

Margo jumped back a good three feet as Fera started yelling. That wasn't the reaction she expected at all. I mean, shock yes, but anger? Not exactly."No, no, no. It wasn't like that. It wasn't like a kiss kiss. It was just a kiss. I mean, we weren't on a date or anything! I just, I dunno, we were fighting, and, well, GAH! I don't know! I couldn't help it. And he, he kissed back too ya know! I wasn't the only one enjoying it! I mean! NO! I wasn't! Not at all! He was... he was... he was... gross! He was gross!" Margo's chest heaved up and down as she struggled to regain her breath, and, perhaps, her sanity.

Wincing as some newly melted snow found its way down her spine, Fera groaned. She was still staring straight at Margo, making sure she didn't close her eye. Last thing Fera needed was a mental image. She didn't know what to do, how to act, "He's a alligator covered in poison ivy, Margo! And to be frank, I don't want to know whether he enjoyed it or not, or..." Fera pulled at her hair, trying to calm herself down. "Poison ivy, margo, poison ivy," now Fera was starting to fear for her own sanity. But then again, who claimed Fera had one? She wrinkled her nose, trying to remove the last bits of snow. Taking a few seconds, Fera embraced the silence. "Does this mean I can't kick his ass later on in a duel?" |

Margo let out a short laugh, grateful that Fera wasn't too pissed. "No, by all means, go ahead. We're not 'together' or anything. He's still a git, he's just a git that's a..... yeah, he's still a git." She looked around, hopeful for a distraction. "Ya know, this can't be the most exiting thing in the forest. Let's see something swell. A ferocious monster or a man-eating plant or something." Edited by Margo Wright, Dec 13 2009, 10:22:56 PM.

To comply with Margo's wishes, Fera looked around for something which was, or could lead to something intersting, but the lack of interestingness was obvious. All she saw was snow, and no matter how beautifully the white wet sparingly covered trees and some of the ground, it was rather dull. The faint shimmer of the snow did nothing but tease her, we're the most interesting thing, it sung, over and over again. "You know," said Fera, running her hand against the bark of one of the trees, peeling some of it off, "Next time you decide to make out with someone I hate, I expect you not to inform me of it," Fera let the dark wood in her hand drop to the snow, contrasting with the smooth pure with its ruggly surface. Taking a step forward, she licked her ice cold lips, trying to warm them, "Because, frankly, I don't want to know who's tongue you've had in your mouth," some snow escaped into her shoe, and Fera bendt down to get it out, resting her weight into a tree so she wouldn't fall over, "Especially when said tongue is one I want to rip out and feed to the giant squid," Fera continued her path forward, exaiming the surface for something, a sign of life, whatever. In the corner of her eye, she spotted the footprints of a rabbit. Why not, she shrugged, and went over. Squatting down, Fera stretched out her arm, resting a finger towards the print, "Merlins..." she turned towards Margo, "Too old. It's ice cold." |

Margo stomped over to Fera, and bent down to see what she was looking at. Foot prints. Fricking footprints. Geez, way to be a good friend. Way to have a conversation."Well scuse me. Scuse me for thinking that maybe my best friend would care A LITTLE BIT about me, or what happens in my life. Scuse me for thinking that I'd get a little support when I'm confused, emotional, and scared out of my mind!" Margo stomped back over to her original position and leaned against a tree, brows furrowing and arms crossing. "Yeah, just scuse me. Get back to your effing foot prints. Glad to see you have your priorities straight." |

"Well, scuse me for trying to find something interesting, just like you asked for," hissed Fera, getting more and more annoyed with her friends shenigans, "Margo, I want to be a good friend, but lets face it," Fera spat in the white snow, kicked it. She hated it for being so pure. So innocent. Fresh. "I'm not a good person, okay?" She flung out her arms, staring daggers at her friend, "I'm not a sort of person who can offer you any comfort! I can tell you that you're lucky, Margo, because your problems are BOY TROUBLE. Margo, I'd give anything to swap with you, trust me, trust me," Fera shook her head, forcing back tears, but her face revealed how upset she was, "I can't help you with things like boys. All I know is pain, all I know is how to push away whats good for me, because I know it will sooner or later come to bite me in the *ss. Margo, you have all your limbs, you have your parents, you still have everyone who meant something to you," Fera looked up to the sky, her chest ached, ached like it was going to collapse. Her throat was on fire. "I don't. I'm just a wreck, thrown in for someones amusement. I barely have anything to smile for anymore. I can't see if that tree is behind you, or some weird thing you've put in your hair. How can I smile when I don't know if something is right in front of me and tiny, or miles away and gigantic?" Fera looked at her feet, "I can't smell chocolate anymore. Or the flowers. My nose is destroyed. I can't remember exactly how rabbit pie tastes, because now it's just paper," Fera sniffed, wiping away her tears, "Do you know, it's never the big things which hurt. It's the sting from all the little things." |

Margo heaved a great sigh, turned around, and started to walk back up to the castle. She had taken a few steps when a stray thought flittered threw her head. Angerly, she turned to face Fera again. "You know what your problem is Fera? You're too damn selfish. You could be a good friend if you wanted, you could be supportive if you wanted. But the truth is, you don't. You like this. You like being this little broken girl 'cause it means you get to do whatever you want. You get to push everyone away, you get to not care, 'cause any of that's too much work and you'd much rather not." Margo herself was barely holding back tears at this point, but she continued on because she didn't know how to stop. She didn't know how to stop any of this. It was a freight train moving a hundred miles an hour and she was a fly on the windsheild trying to get it to slow down. And she was being petty and immature and selfish and cruel but she was upset and she couldn't see far enough through the tears to see that Fera was right. Or she didn't want to see that Fera was right. But she was. She was so right it was scary. "You don't want anyone to like you, because you like to think that you're too strong for friends. You like to think that it's you against the world, you like to play this big survival game, you like to push and push and push yourself until you're too far gone to see what you left behind. Well congratulations. You win." If this had been a movie, Margo would've instantly seen the hurt in Fera's eyes. She would've realized that she didn't mean any of what she said, and they would apologize and embrace and skip off into the sunset. But Margo did mean what she said. And she wasn't going to apologize. And her and Fera would never ever embrace and skip off into the sunset. So instead of staying behind and making everything right, Margo turned and ran back to the castle. Edited by Margo Wright, Dec 30 2009, 03:26:09 PM.

Beth ran all the way from the Library and stopped only at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, breathing hard. She should definitely exercise more in her Beater trainings. Reaching into her robes, she pulled out her wand. It wasn't too dark yet and the snow brightened up her surroundings as well but she could have used more light anyway. "Lumos," said the Hufflepuff when she caught her breath and began to look for some footprints. Luckily, it didn't take long before she found what looked as human footprints and stepped into the forest, following the trail. It wasn't easy, as there were many snowless spots on the ground but she tried hard not to lose the track. All her senses were highly alerted. Despite cursing the careless children under her breath, a rather strange but pleasant feeling spread through her body. She kept telling herself she's only there to find or protect those kids but couldn't deny that she enjoyed it. The rapid thumping of her heart in her chest, the hairs on her neck standing with each sound of the forest… Although unwillingly, she loved every second of it and felt like she was doing something important. She could easily imagine being an Auror on her first mission, but there certainly wasn't time for that! Beth stopped for a moment, remembering a reflex-enhancing spell Tristan used during the First Task. 'Celes..pondum?' she racked her brain to remember the incantation, 'Celeresponsum! That's it!' But before she could proceed with casting, she heard a voice deeper in the forest, almost like a yell. Pointing her lit wand in front of her, she hurried in that direction. ------- To say Beth was surprised when a Gryffindor girl, Margo Wright, almost run into her would be an understatement. Even weirder was that she hadn't even noticed her. The Hufflepuff scowled, and when she saw another Gryffindor nearby, who certainly didn't seem in a mood to chat, she understood her mistake. Beth was a little disappointed when she realized there will be no heroic actions, such as saving first years from monsters in the forest, tonight. But she didn't want to get into any trouble herself, so she hurried back into the castle. Edited by Beth Snape, Jan 3 2010, 04:15:21 PM.
