| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. The centaur paced his room, the sound of his hooves hitting the stone floor dulled soft, rhythmic thuds by the foliage that somehow grew over the stone without any sort of dirt or soil. The First Task went better than he had been expecting, though Draconius was more abrasive in his manner than Banni would have liked. And what's more, Mr. Nightshade did not turn up dead, and that was beside the point that he'd came in second. Still, Bannishtar worried. Moody's suspicions still rang clearly in his mind. Why Nightshade? It seemed illogical for him to be chosen. But why would anyone other than the cup want to decide who would be champion? It made no sense. Then again, humans, in Bannishtar's view--especially wizards--tended to do a lot of illogical things. Realizing it was class time, the centaur moved over to the wooden double doors which were barred shut and threw them open, letting sunlight from the many-windowed corridor fill the dark forest-like room. |

Dave strode into the divination classroom with his head held high. It wasn't like him to be in such a great mood, but he was currently filled with such a great feeling that he just couldn't help it. Not only had he freed himself from Precious' abusive passive aggressive relationship antics, but he had certainly hit it off with one of her friends at the same time. He couldn't wait to see how she had taken it. Dave predicted that she'd simply shrug it off, but with the way she acted when he was around other girls, he could tell that she still wanted him, but the way she treated him didn't reflect it. "Good day, Professor," Dave said in greetings, nodding his head in respect to Professor Bannishtar. |

Kiki was next into the classroom, and gave her best smile to Bannishtar, blue eyes bright. She even greeted the Slytherin, who was also in the classroom. "Hello, Professor!" she chirped gaily as she flounced over to her seat on a mossy tree-stump. Her white hair turned blond in the low-light of the classroom and she took out the quick-quotes quill she'd gotten from her parents for her birthday. T'was easier to use when sitting only on a tree stump. She only used it for Banni's class, and this way, she wouldn't miss anything. Most of the topics discussed went over her head. She got comfortable, and was swinging her legs as she waited for the class to begin, the quill sitting on her lap. |

Third one in. Horacio slipped into the odd classroom, robes brushing over the foilage as he looked for a decent place to sit. Settling on a random tree stump, he dropped his bag beside it and sat down. Flicking his eyes over the students already present, he gave a bare nod to Dave. One of the lovebirds.... His eyes then went to the blonde Hufflepuff girl, who looked ever so familiar...Katriane? The prefect? That one must be the sister the newspaper had been talking about...the Beauxbaton bombshell's sister. He found his eyes lingering slightly as he took her in...she certainly wasn't bad looking...too bad she was Hufflepuff. It made him wonder if Mariane would have been one, should she have come to Hogwarts. Disturbing...?.. |

Isaac entered the Divination classroom warily and surveyed the room. Charms hadn't gone well, and he could tell that Divination wasn't going to go well either. Does that mean that i'm a seer? He thought to himself bitterly while entering the grassy clearing. He always liked this room, reminded him of the fields back home in Aberdeen. Hardly anyone noticeable was in the classroom yet. A couple blokes from Slytherin, and Katriane sitting on a stump. Smiling, he nodded his hello towards Bannishtar and took a seat opposite Kiki. Leaning his back on a moss covered tree that was facing towards the enchanted ceiling. After a couple minutes of boredom staring above, he stole a glance at Kiki. He noticed an acid green quill sitting on her lap. A quick-quotes quill. He'd seen them before in the display at Dervish and Banges. Smiling he leaned forward and said quietly towards her, "That's cheating, that is." Nodding towards her quill. "But don't worry. I won't tell a soul. . ." He made a zipping gesture across his mouth and winked. |

Slightly out of breath from walking so fast, Aria entered the Divination classroom. Convieniently, Dave was in the area where she would normally sit, so she decided to take a seat that only seperated them by one space. This way, she could tell if he liked her because he would probably move up. Genius she congratulated herself. She nodded to the teacher and got out her Divination books before turning to smile flirtily at Dave. Who could resist? |

Colette entered the classroom, blonde hair flowing gently behind her. That was when it happened. This class was with the Slytherins. Her smile faltered for a moment, before pasting itself even brighter on her face. She gave a tiny wave to Aria. Not that she would even acknowledge it. But it made Colette feel better to try. She took a seat next to Isaac and Kiki. "Hey guys!" She pulled out her quill and parchment, putting it gently in her lap. She hated taking notes in Divination. |

Nikolai smirked, entering the classroom. He noticed Dave sitting by Ariana. That was strange considering Dave had just been dumped by the most popular and vindictive girl in Slytherin. Colette was there too, but Nikolai just ignored her. No point acknowledging what wasn't really there. He slid into a seat by himself, waiting for someone he knew to come to class. |

Flavia sauntered leisurely into the classroom, trying not to trip with her tall stilettos and trying not to step on anyone's feet at the same time. She took a seat just far enough from Horacio and from the lovebirds, so she could see what Horacio was doing and stay away from Dave and Ariana at the same time. Honestly, they were so shallow. Predictably, Horacio was checking Katriane out, seeing the similarities she shared with her sister. Her stupid, vain, bitchy sister who thought she could have any guy in the world. Well, she certainly couldn't have Edward, thought Flavia reassuringly as she produced a mirror from her bag. When were the other decent Slytherins coming? She took a seat next to Nikolai, smiling. One here, three to go. Edited by Flavia Petrovska, Oct 10 2009, 07:01:07 AM.

Dave had been pacing around the spot where he had placed his bag until Ariana came into the classroom and took a seat conveniently close to where he was. His bag was sitting in between two spots, one of which was closer to Ariana to the other, and he had originally intended to sit at the further one, but when such an opportunity presented itself, especially with probable cause on Ariana's fault, well, who would resist? "I'm sorry you had to witness that," Dave said casually as he took a seat next to Ariana, shifting his belongings over slightly. "I guess it just wasn't meant to be," he commented with a fake sense of longing. Smiling, Dave made eye contact with the girl, who was smiling back at him. |

Edward marched into the room, pleased he wasn't late. He couldn't care less about this subject but he hated being late for lessons. Examining the room he saw Flavia and Nikolai and decided to go sit next to them. He'd completely forgotten this class would be with Hufflepuffs, he could already sense the tension building between them and Slytherins. It was a different kind of tension than with Gryffindors, since they were rivals, but Hufflepuffs were basically completely opposite to his housemates. Sitting down next to Flavia on whose other side was Nikolai, Edward spoke up, "this day obviously can't get any better, first Concepts and now Divination." He didn't even try to hide his dislike for this subject. "Hopefully we'll have something to watch when furious Precious comes; otherwise you can wake me up after the lesson." Edward wasn't a lazy student and he tried to pay attention in all of his subjects. He just simply thought Divination to be a complete waste of time. |

Aria's smile broadened as Dave took the bait and shifted up to sit next to her. Just as planned. She would definitly pay for this later, Precious wouldn't let this drop, but that was something to consider later. "Oh don't worry about that. We all know what Precious can be like. You must be slightly upset though, I mean, she is one of the best-looking girls in Slytherin." Ariana knew that this wasn't all that Dave would care about in a girl, but she had never understood what he saw in Precious except for her looks. She was hardly sugar and spice after all. No, Dave seemed like a much sweeter boy than most of the Slytherins, at least the popular ones. |

"Actually," Dave said, rubbing his chin with his fingers. "I'm not really down, like at all. I don't really know how to explain it. I guess you can just say that I'm glad to be out of her clutches, because really, that relationship was going no where. I mean, you saw the way she treated me, right? What kind of a guy would put up with that?" Under any other circumstances, Dave thought that the breakup might actually have an effect on him, but the fact that Ariana seemed so interested kept his mood up; he just wasn't about to say it. "Hmm, good looking? Maybe. Personality wise, however, she's about as deep as a puddle." Although he said it with sincerity, Dave felt slightly guilty for it. He did have some success in pulling Precious out of her shell, but no one else would ever think so. And besides, it still wasn't worth the price he paid in embarrassment due to looking like Precious' lapdog. "Nah," Dave concluded, shaking his head. "I think there other girls that are not only better looking, but are more deserving of my affection as well," he added, making eye contact with Ariana and smiling. Although she was one of Precious' friends, Ariana didn't seem like the type of girl to be totally shallow or malicious; the fact that she was even remotely concerned spoke huge volumes. |

Beth walked swiftly through the door of Divination classroom. She smiled at and greeted her professor. Even though Divination was probably her weakest subject, she respected the centaur a lot and didn't want to be late for this lesson, nor any other as a matter of fact. She immediately spotted the three students she spoke to during the breakfast and made her way towards them. She also saw Edward, whom she gave her biggest grin and a small wave, his rebellious friend Flavia and a boy who she heard had a fight with Colette. She wasn't entirely happy about Edward's choice of friends but she had always tried not to judge people without knowing them personally. "Hi again," addressed Beth her housemates before taking seat next to Colette, "have you enjoyed Charms?" |

Rodrigo walked through the door of the Divination classroom with a smile on his lips. He scanned the room, and made his way over to some of his fellow Hufflepuffs. Landing himself onto a treestump beside Beth, he greeted them. "Hey," Rod smiled as he set his bag down on the floor beside him. Rod was awful at Divination, but he still enjoyed the lesson. Besides, it was the thought that counted, right? So as long as he attended the class, it was all good. Rodrigo wasn't one for skiving off in the first place anyway, seeing how he actually wanted to pass his OWLs, or at least try to. [OOC// Ughh.] |

Aria couldn't help but grin back as Dave continued to flirt with her, albeit quite discreetly. One couldn't ask a girl out after just dumping Precious Hindert. Or rather, no guy ever had. For the first time in a long while, Aria felt that she could talk to Dave without having to constantly feel like she was locked in the Slytherin power-battle. He was certaintly one of a kind, popular yet decent. Aria checked him out again, not even discreetly. He was definitly shaping up to be one cute guy. He actually made Aria laugh with his comments about Precious, as risky as they were. It was a good job that Precious hadn't arrived yet. "Oh really? Do you have any girls in your sights then Dave?" Aria gave him a flirtatious look, flicking her hair back and making very personal eye contact. This lesson might shape up to be some fun after all. |

Mitchell strolled into the Divination classroom. He immediately walked over to a tree-stump at the back of the room: his usual seat. Mitchell didn't like Divination, and only attended for the sake of it. He didn't want another detention like the one he'd earned weeks ago anyway. To spend an evening with the centaurs wasn't Mitchell's idea of fun, even if he had tried to view it with optimism. Sighing, he dumped his bag on the floor, and looked at the various Slytherins in front of him. Mitchell didn't feel like associating himself with any of them at that moment - he was still trying to figure out his thoughts. Mitchell flicked his hair out of his face and rested his cheek in the palm of his hand. |

"Hmm," Dave answered, unsure of what to say. "I guess I'm just going to take whatever comes my way," he declared, taking notice of how Ariana's eyes strayed up and down. "This close after a breakup would seem like an obvious rebound, wouldn't you say? But then again, the whole breakup thing hardly matters to me. As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet you that Precious has a huge lineup of guys at her disposal for when things between she and I went south, and I wouldn't put it past her to start tapping into it immediately, seeing as she pretty much did just that while we were still together." Dave rolled his eyes at the thought, but quickly pushed it out of his head and refocused on Ariana. "So, aren't you afraid how Precious will react if she sees you talking to me? You do know that the whole hostility act she put on last period was because she was preoccupied with Mitch and I lost interest in her to talk to you instead, right?" |

With a indecisive step, June entered the divination classroom, her hand lingering a little too much on the doorknob. Shaking her tiny hand once she remembered that doorknobs were some of the most dirty things in Hogwarts, June's blue eyes searched for someone to sit with. Rod was sitting with Beth, and June really didn't want to disturb them, so she headed towards Kiki. June had always looked up to the prefect, and wished that she had a sister like that, instead of two who barely cared about her anymore, and when they did, it was mostly negative attention. (Especially with Jenny, but Junes extreme fear of her sister didn't exactly help the matter.) Smiling sheepishly, June sat down, folding her legs neatly underneath her. Brushing some crumbles from breakfast off her skirt, June summoned the courage to talk. A squeaky, highpitched voice escaped her, "Hi Kiki!" Embarrased, June flushed with colour over how stupid her voice sounded. Her voice was like some hyper first grader. Shuffling her feet as a momentarily distraction, the little girl looked towards Katriane again. She didn't dare look her in the eyes, and used a cheap trick she learnt pretty early in her life, looking at the bridge of the prefects nose, right inbetween her eyes. It wasn't as uncomfortable, as long as June didn't comment on acne or things like that, "Did we have any homework for this class? Because I can't remember, and I don't want to get detention or yelled at or something," She wiped her palm against her face, and felt the stiff, mascara-coated eyelashes brush against her hand. June was used to the feeling, often wearing far too much make up to hide her face, and to try look pretty. With a inwards sigh, the hufflepuff realized that she ought to use much less time on make-up and what to wear, and more on her schoolwork, because June was lacking a lot in all subjects. But she didn't want to push her luck anyways, her neat scrawl didn't make up for her horrid grammar and lack of understanding, no matter how much time she used rereading her essays. It was better for her not to get her hopes up about her essays, so she didn't get too sad when she received a Dreadful. |

Aria nodded along with Dave as he said that he would be up for dating again soon, although he hid this behind some excuse about Precious flirting with guys. He has a point though she thought. Aria felt quite sorry for Dave in a way. He was certaintly one of the most popular Slytherin boys and dating Precious had only amplified this. But when Dave was with Precious, she had quite frankly treated him like crap. He deserved better than that, at least in Aria's opinion. As Dave mentioned Precious, Aria instinctively flinched. Once again, Dave had made a good point. Clearly if they were talking without good reason, Precious would go supersonic the second she entered the classroom. "Yeah I got that...how about we don't talk when she turns up? Just to avoid any more confrontation. We can always.....hang out later if you want?" Aria took a chance here, it was somewhat make or break, but she still felt it was a gamble worth taking. |
