| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Hand in hand, !Xabbu and Kiki descended into the dungeons. Unlike the tower that lead to the Gryffindor common room, there were no windows to let in the moonlight. The air felt a bit more moist, too. And heavy. They stopped in front of the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room. Still keeping his right hand in hers, he turned to face her, placing his other hand in hers. They kissed. "Its odd that they put the Hufflepuffs down here in the dungeons," he said, "I always pictured you and your housemates as being a bit...sunnier." It was one of those rare moments when !Xabbu engaged in idle banter. It was probably just the simple fact that he wanted as much time with Kiki as possible. Of course, there was that one thing he meant to ask. He'd have to slip it into the conversation somehow. |

Kiki grinned at him. "I like to think it's to balance the bad attitudes of our friendly neighbors, the Slytherins." she chortled, winding her long, thin arms about his neck as she leaned against him. "We're not the type to fade along with our surroundings." Katriane remarked gaily, her eyes looking past !Xabbu's head to the one Auror who was guarding the entrance to the Hufflepuff dungeon and the 6 that were stationed about the Slytherin entrance. Looking back into his eyes, since they were the same height (gotta love puberty) she saw something guarded there. "Somesing is on your mind." she stated, allowing a light breeze to escape her powers and lift the still, damp air that wafted through the dungeon corridor. |

!Xabbu's eyes seemed to light up. Somehow, Katriane always managed to make difficult things a bit easier. "Well," he said, "I...you know how I was looking for a way to preserve my people? At least in some way...? I think I've found it. But..." !Xabbu leaned closer to Katriane, his lips practically grazing her ear as he spoke in a whisper. There were aurors everywhere, "I can't show you here." He gestured over to the auror by the entryway, who, thankfully, was not paying attention. He hoped Kiki got the message. "You'll have to trust me," he said. What he did, technically, broke the interntational statute of secrecy, but it was the only way. "Will you...will you meet me tomorrow? After classes?" he asked. He full expected her to say "no". He did sound a bit guilty. Again, the auror was not paying too much attention. It must have looked to him like two students whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears. |

Kiki nodded, both understanding the need for secrecy and confused about his findings. "Okay, after class. Where should we meet?" she said, running her hand over the top of his head, his close fade smooth under her palm. "We could meet before class too, you know. At breakfast. We're always the first ones there anyway."This was true. She pressed her lips lightly against his once more, just savoring the moment. And the quasi-privacy. |

When they broke apart, !Xabbu answered: "There's..." he considered what he was going to say for a second. Katriane's sparkling eyes and bright smile were distracting. "There's a room on the seventh floor," he said, "I discovered it one day. Near the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy--you know, the one with the man trying to train trolls to dance? !Xabbu began the story of finding the secret room. "When I was taking the long way to the Gryffindor tower. Thinking. About how I could possibly do anything to help my people. I prayed to Grandfather Mantis. I prayed for a way to save them, at least in spirit. And then...I saw a door. It appeared for me. In there, I found what I needed. That was last year, actually...I still needed something else. I got that over the summer." |

Kiki blinked, not really following. "A...door?" she asked quizzically, tilting her head to the side. "I'll go with you," Kiki said softly, giving his hand a small squeeze. "I don't know if you'll tell me now, but what--what will we find behind the door?" she whispered in his ear. With !Xabbu things were rarely as easy as they seemed to be. |

Colette sighed, making her way towards the Hufflepuff dungeons. This sucked. She wasn't feeling good, and had barely touched her food. Not the best way to start an evening off. Hopefully the rest of the evening wouldn't be as bad as it was already. She ran her fingers through her hair. She really didn't feel like going into the dungeon yet, so she simply sat down on a bench, staring into space. "So bored..." |

Nikolai sighed, entering the Dungeon Corridors. What he saw however, stopped him in his tracks. A smirk grew on his face. "Colette Fischer. Fancy meeting you here." God, how he loathed that girl. "Sulking because you couldn't find any of your mudblood friends? I wouldn't be surprised. Even a person with the filthiest blood running through their veins wouldn't want to associate with a person like you." He felt a pang, and a part of him wondered if he should be being this mean to her. She had been his best friend. But another part of him pointed out that she was a Hufflepuff and a half-blood. No point associating with them. Besides, he had more important things to worry about. Like his friends. Not some Hufflepuff he used to be friends with. |

Colette's head snapped up when she heard Nikolai's voice. "Just shut up, okay?! I don't want to deal with this right now!" She hissed, glaring at him through her blonde bangs. "Just go off with your perfect little friends and pretend I don't exist. You do that most of the time, why not now?" She was getting sick of Nikolai. When had he changed? It was almost overnight. One minute he was her smiling best friend, and the next he was a cruel, pureblood fanatic. "Seriously, why me? There are hundreds of other people in this school to pick on. Why should it have to be me who gets targeted." Colette was starting to regret her decision to not go into the common room. |

Nikolai's smirk grew wider, "Touchy, aren't we Fishy? Why you? Easy. You're an easy target." His heart sank a bit though, when she commented on him ignoring her. "You're easy to forget. Why else? If it was someone I actually cared about, maybe I would put more effort into it. But I don't. Honestly, why do you even talk to me anymore? I've never cared about you. Ever. The world would be so much better with out you." He flinched when he realized what he just said. It was harsh. It was cruel. But most of all, it was unnecessary. She hadn't done anything. So why was he acting like a jerk. The way she was looking at him, like he was a murderer, why? What happened to them? His life was turning upside down, and worst of all, there was nothing he could do about it. "I, I just." He sighed, running his hands through his hair, "That was harsh, I'm sorry." |

Colette's eyes widened, feeling that familiar pang in her heart. "I'm sorry you feel that way." She said softly, tears forming in her eyes. "I really was not expecting that." What had happened to Nikolai? She raised her voice, "I'M SO, SO SORRY THAT I DON'T MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU ANYMORE! YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU MEAN A HELL OF A LOT TO ME! AND I AM SO SORRY THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO BE SEEN WITH A PATHETIC HUFFLEPUFF! SO SOD OFF, OKAY?" Her tears spilling freely, she turned heel and left the corridors for the Hufflepuff Common Room. |

!Xabbu considered giving her some clue as to what they would find. Inwardly, he was praying that the door would appear for the both of them. He was relieved at the beginning of the year when he'd visited the room, having worried that the door would not appear again after so many months. Hopefully it would open for the both of them. Just then, !Xabbu heard a loud voice, practically shrieking: "I'M SO, SO SORRY THAT I DON'T MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU ANYMORE! YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU MEAN A HELL OF A LOT TO ME! AND I AM SO SORRY THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO BE SEEN WITH A PATHETIC HUFFLEPUFF! SO SOD OFF, OKAY?" The bushman looked over and saw a boy and a girl. The girl looked tearful. The boy looked smug for a moment, then solemn. The girl, her eyes like rivers, turned on her heel and ran towards the entry to the Hufflepuff common room, beside which stood !Xabbu and Kat in their embrace. "Wait--" said !Xabbu, softly, trying to get her attention. She did not seem to notice or care. She ran straight into the common room and disappeared. !Xabbu looked at Katriane, silently conveying his inclination to see if he could help in any way he could. Of course, he couldn't go into the Hufflepuff common room, so he separated himself from Kat, gave her a nod and turned and walked towards the boy who seemed shocked into sadness. He looked at the auror as he passed. The wizard catcher had been only momentarily interested in the affairs of the students, and only when the Hufflepuff girl had yelled (which would have probably gotten anyone's attention). The auror had since resumed staring at a spot on the wall across from him. He barely moved an inch. Like a statue. Like a silent guardian. "What were you fighting about?" the bushman asked the boy as he approached him. In this western culture, such a question would seem rude and prying, but !Xabbu was sincerely concerned, and it showed both on his face and in his voice. |

Flavia strutted into the corridor just in time to see a Hufflepuff girl run crying away from Nikolai. She spotted a Gryffindor-!Xabbu-trying to ask Nikolai something. Who does he think he is, a detective? "Hey, Nikolai," she said, noticing the depressed look on his face. "Don't mind her, you couldn't do anything about it. It was her who chose to react that way. Are you coming into the dungeon?" She leaned against the wall expectantly. |

Edward entered the Dungeon Corridors. After his slow walk here and pondering over his unpleasant thoughts he knew what he had to do in order to get some sleep tonight. He faltered slightly as he saw the bunch of Aurors in the dungeons and even some Fifth Year students. He didn't want to make a scene and had good intentions so why would anyone care what he was about to do. It seemed as none of the Fifth Years had seen him so he silently continued down the corridor, taking the opportunity while Flavia and some Gryffindor, whom he didn't know, centered their attention on the Nikolai boy. He doubted he wouldn't be seen as he passed them and the doors to Slytherin Common Room, he just hoped they wouldn't pay attention to him, thinking he might be heading to the bathrooms. Edward reached the Hufflepuff Common Room, innocently acknowledging one Auror standing nearby. It seemed that he wasn't interested in what was Edward doing as long as he wasn't cursing anybody. Edward knocked on the door, straightening up and getting one of his meanest scowls on his face. According to his plan there must have been at least one silly trusting First Year Hufflepuff to open the door. And right he was, after a few seconds the door to the yellow's common room opened without him needing to say any password. Opening the door there stood a little smiling ginger-haired girl with braces. After spotting Edward she gasped terrified and froze on the spot, not able to utter a single syllable, after a short while her self-preservation instinct kicked in and she backed into the room, turning on her heel and running off in a speed of lightning. Not wasting a moment Edward pushed the door wide open, looking into the room, paying attention not to pass the threshold doing so. He was safe as long as he wasn't inside the room - or at least he hoped so. *** The door of the Hufflepuff Common Room opened with a creek, revealing a very angry looking Slytherin behind it. Edward scoped the room before his sight settled on the two girls sitting near the fire. His eyebrows furrowed even more (if it was possible) as he bellowed, "Beth Snape!" He even managed to startle the Auror standing by the door, who hastily drew his wand pointing it at Edward. Surely, if he managed to come this far unnoticed, now the whole dungeon must have known about him. He heard some of the doors, leading from the common room into what he thought were student's rooms, closing and locking instantly. He was kind of glad they weren't Gryffindors, although he knew at least one Hufflepuff who could shove Gryffindor courage into her pocket if it was necessary, she just lacked their confidence greatly. Nikolai sighed, turning towards the Gryffindor. Normally he wouldn't respond, but the whole situation was bothering him immensely. "I honestly don't know anymore." He croaked, his voice hoarse, "I thought I did, but now I'm not so sure." He turned away from the Gryffindor and walked over to Flavia. He offered a small smile. "Sure. Let's go into the Common Room." He turned and cast one more glance back at the Hufflepuff common room, before adding as an afterthought to both !Xabbu and Flavia. "I really have no idea why she reacted like that. Honestly." |
