| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Avery meandered about the castle a bit, taking the staircases as they changed aimlessly, going from floor to floor until her hunger became unbearable. She walked into the Great Hall, nearly knocking over a first year as she scrambled to get to the food at the Ravenclaw table. Without bothering to sit down, she scooped some of everything onto her plate, finishing her meal in record time. She grabbed a few sandwiches as she spotted Cosette and Bex. She debated what to do. As much as she loved playing matchmaker, she was hungry. She watched them talk a bit, not able to hear what they were saying as she finished her sandwich. Avery edged closer before perching herself onto the bench across from them. She placed her chin in her hands, a wide grin on her face. Step one of playing matchmaker: Let them know you're not emotionally involved in the guy. Sitting across from them as opposed to next to Bex made her feel safer anyway. She grinned toothily. "So how're you lovebirds doing?" Step two: Add a harmless joke to the conversation to change the atmosphere out of the 'friend zone'. Avery took another bite of her sandwich, looking down at it instead of Cosette and Bex. Step three: Act uninterested. Hopefully they'll think you aren't listening and keep talking. This was going to be fun. |

Tristan spotted Hellius enter the Great Hall with the usual cigarette between his lips. He rolled his eyes but said nothing, used to the rebel antics of the Gryffindor. Though Hellius still liked to be different he was certainly not the dangerous weirdo from back in their first few years. His heart was in the right place whatever his personal life was like. And as fate would have it Addie entered just after him, making her over towards him. Tristan nodded at Hellius and got up to join the Gryffindor table for their chat. He and she slid into the bench across from Hellius, watching as he tore apart a chicken wing, looking mildly deranged in the process. He smirked briefly, "So Hellius, Addie and I wanted to run by you the idea of the Defense Club once again. Given what was in the Prophet this morning we should look at preparing ourselves in case anything goes down again like last year's attack. What do you think?" He figured Hellius would agree, always keen for any excuse to draw his wand, but he wanted oth their thoughts on who to tell about the meeting and where to hold it. They couldn't tell anyone who would tell the Professors, who might care at what they were doing, and they needed a suitable place to hold it with enough space and resources. |

Claire headed into the Great Hall. She was heading straight for the Ravenclaw table, before she saw Tristan over at the Gryffindor table. She desperately wanted to be in the Ravenclaw quidditch team and he was the captain. She knew what she had to do. She took a deep breath and marched herself to where Tristan was seated. He was talking to a Gryffindor, but she couldn't let that stop her. "Tristan! I've been searching EVERYWHERE for you!" she paused, hoping the answer wasn't going to be the same as usual. "I just don't believe you. Trust me, if you were any real Quidditch Captain you'd jump at the chance for me to be on your team." Edited by Claire Dupont, Sep 21 2009, 09:47:40 AM.

As Tristan sat across from him with Addie in tow, Hellius slapped his lips, reaching for a biscuit. Listening to Tristan as he proposed the idea of the Defense Club, he nodded, slicing the biscuit in half with a butter knife. Flipping the two sides so they were face up on the table, he sunk the tip of the knife into the butter, cut off a portion of the block of margarine, and spread it across the biscuits. Taking a bite as Tristan finished, he chewed for a moment, acting as if he were contemplating the question. Over emphasizing a swallow, Hellius was about to speak when a Ravenclaw girl came over and interrupted their conversation. Blinking, Hellius looked back to his biscuit and took another bite, waiting for the girl to finish her ecstatic blather. He swallowed, "You just interrupted our conversation," Hellius said darkly, slowly turning his head towards the girl with a menacingly distasteful sneer. Blinking a long blink, he turned his head back towards the Prefect pair ((play of words on "perfect," I just noticed)), placing his arms on the edge of the table. "Unfortunately, the Martial Law is going to lock down the school. Aurors will be everywhere. If we establish it, the aurors might misunderstand our intentions and consider it a rebellion uprising, or a student organization fueled by the Knights of Walpurgis," he stated, taking another bite of the croissant. He put his hand in front of his mouth. "Shro, ehf aneefing, wahl wahnt thu--," he swallowed, dropping his hand, "--we'll want to propose the idea to the Headmistress, to have the entire concept protected." He took another bite of the croissant. Edited by Hellius Surla, Sep 21 2009, 01:44:00 PM.

He had been about to add something further to his proposal when Clare Dupont appeared from nowhere yet again and raced over to see him. "Clare, not now ok. We're in the middle of something!" If he sound exasperated, he was. Clare Dupont, a nice enough girl but one who had been bugging him to join the Ravenclaw Quidditch team pretty much since the new spots had become available at the end of last year. She couldn't lay eyes on him without bugging him to join. He had told her repeatedly that the Triwizard Tournament was on and so Quidditch was cancelled for the year, not to mention as a Champion participant he had other things on his mind, but that didn't seem to register with her. Quidditch was life as far as she was concerned! "Later ok, Clare?" His tone was final, hoping she would get the message to drop the subject and leave them be for now. He returned his attention to Hellius, "You think we should tell the Headmistress? Hmmm," He supposed it was unlikely she would say no. And it would be good to have her protection and input. "I suppose so. Your right about the Aurors, they aren't exactly the most understanding of people. What about who should we tell? And besides the usual Slytherins is there anyone we shouldn't invite along?" |

Asking Hellius to judge someone's personality? It was like asking a sociopath what he thought about people he didn't know. When did Hellius ever have a good sense of judgement? of character? He was barely suitable for Defense Club to begin with; his attitude was foul. So why, then, was Tristan asking him, Hellius wondered. "First rule of Fight Club is don't talk about Fight Club," Hellius quoted. Turning towards a pitcher of orange juice, he picked it up with both his hands and then took a large gulp from the glass, not bothering to pour his own cup. Setting it back down on the table in front of him, keeping his hands on the sides, Hellius released his breath, savoring the sweet citrus swelling down his throat. "I think we should trust no one until they deem themselves worthy; whatever that means. I'm not exactly the right person to make the decision of whom is fit to join." Taking a sip of the orange juice from the pitcher again, Hellius contemplated the possibilities for joining. There were several factors whizzing through his mind which would be caution signs. He set down the pitcher. "No one should know about it unless you or Addie tell someone. If someone else knows, we have a snitch within our ranks," he explained, "and if someone knows and is direct, nagging, and persistent in their wish to join... I don't find that a particularly good thing." Edited by Hellius Surla, Sep 24 2009, 05:25:30 PM.

Tristan nodded, "Hmmm. I guess we'll put the feelers out tomorrow morning for a meeting tomorrow night then." He stifled a yawn beneath his hand, his exhaustion finally catching p with him after such a long and eventful day. "I'm buggered guys. I'll see you in the morning mate." He took Addie's hand and led her towards the doors, intending to walk her to her own common room before retiring to his own for the night. Tristan and Addie have gone to their beds. |

Avery glanced at the clock and sighed. She was going to miss out playing matchmaker if she wanted to get to bed early. No way did she want to feel exhausted when everyone was sure to be talking about the task tomorrow. With a quick wave, she grabbed her things and headed off. |

Precious sighed as Ariana approached her. It wasn't that Precious didn't like her, (right) but Precious was at a moment where she just wanted to be alone with Dave. Or she would just lash out on everyone. Appearantly, that wasn't an option since everyone was leaving. Again. Precious bit her bottom lip as she grabbed her Gucci bag and slung it on her shoulder. Without a word to anyone, Precious left the Great Hall. almost angry with the world. |
