| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Margo, those are actually extremely good. Well done. Only qualm is, more people?  OH, and I forgot to mention. When I made this thread, it wasn't common knowledge that Jack Bauer is my character, so I couldn't force anyone to include him in a banner, but now that it's out, I want Elijah Wood on a Gryffindor banner, pleeeease.

Actually, the ravenclaw and hufflepuff ones that Margo did are great without that many people. I'd like to put them up as they are. EDIT: Not that we can't have more with different characters on them, but these are too nice NOT to use as they are! OH! I just got an idea! What if we focused on having a lot of different banners for each group, but with fewer characters on each one? They'd look nicer, and more people could be included. MOAR I say. And Margo, you've gotten really, really good. |

Why thank you. I think I'm gunna do some for the quidditch teams. I figure that a lot of people on the quidditch teams don't have the highest post count, but this way they can be included on a banner, even if it's not a house one. |

Alright, I've decided to give it a try. Originally I wanted to make 2 pics with all of the Hogwarts staff but after 3 hours of making this one, I'm not in a mood for today ^^   So, any thoughts? Criticism is welcome as well. I'm not hoping you might like these and it's okay because at least I learned some new tricks but if you want me to make the second one (with Aviza, Saint-Claire, Belmonte, O'Malley, Peckle, Elmorte and Peeves), just let me know. And Margo, I really like yours but wouldn't it be better if there were all the players? I know that not all the positions are taken but it's probably because it's not officially a quidditch season now. Then again maybe we could fill up the teams but they might change in 6th year anyway. |

Beth, I did put everyone listed as on the Slytherin quidditch team. If you know of anyone I don't, I'd be happy to know. Really, if we need to make these banners effective, we really need a list. Maybe I'll start a topic, so I can be organized. Or maybe someone could just make a list here. Either way, we really do need a method to this madness or else someone's gunna get left out. |

Yes, moar quidditch banners. And I think we all want to see some more of the houses other than Slytherin. We're suffering a bit of overload, really. (Three Slyth student banners, and now a quidditch one). So let's see some for the other houses. As for the Slytherin overload itself, I'm thinking maybe we can, since they're obsolete anyway, phase some of the original banners that we've had once we've had enough to replace them? So, since we've already got three Slytherin banners, the original, out of date one, should perhaps be taken down and placed in some kind of "Banner Graveyard" thread? As for Beth's Professor one, I love the top one. And please, please make one for Peeves, Peckle, and the others. Finally, the quidditch issue: There's a lot of change-around for the quidditch teams. Ian, Dave, and Ella are pretty much the only members that have remained constant for Slytherin, so it works anyway. Chances are, there won't be a full team of seven on any banner, so just try to get those that are simply on the current usergroup lists, as most of those are the ones that are the more constant members. |

I could try to make a banner. I could do the Gryffindor quidditch one or something. I got a bunch of new fonts, so it might work. Unless Margo's doing it, in which case, I won't. If there are any that anyone wants done that Margo isn't doing, I'll do it. |

I've started it, but if you have your heart set on it, by all means, go ahead. The only thing is, they really want 'sets' of banners to look related, so I figured it'd be easy if I did all of them. I've got some other ideas for banners, if you want, though. |

ORIGINALLY, I wanted sets that kind of look the same. Now I'm starting to think that contributions from as many people as possible (as long as they are good ones) wouldn't be a bad things. Certainly, having more than one banner per house means less clutter in each one (and hopefully better-looking banners) while more people get included. I still wish the two new Slytherin banners had the Slythie crest on them, as I would prefer that all the house ones had them, but that's a minor complaint. Again, I'm thinking of removing the old Slytherin banner and creating a thread for all our old banners (because the old ones are great, but obviously outdated). Again, I would also like to see some more house banners for Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor. Then we can phase out the out dated banners from those houses. |
