Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? She wouldn't blindly follow him, but she would trust her instinct that he can be a good man. I'm not talking about caustic remarks, but something serious. Otherwise she just ignores all the mean Slytherins. And definitely friends with Hollie. I considered seating Beth next to her in Potions but couldn't remember whose character it was Still, Hollie might ask Beth for help in Potions if you'd like?

Well, not all actually, but you get the urgency. The plot I've been working on for almost two years, and is supposed to launch on Day 5, is busted as the leading character likely won't attend. But as it's Beth's main plot, leading up to the second generation, I really need someone else to fill that position. Anyway, here's a terse summary of my super secret plot: - someone would find Beth practicing Volatilis and she would eventually tell them about it (she normally wouldn't as she swore to keep it a secret, at least not yet) - Day 5 - she will use that ability in Quidditch next year (and possibly somewhere else) and the same person could cover for her - in next generation, she'd return to Hogwarts as Auror and try to teach Volatilis to said person Simple, huh? Not really as there are some requirements for that someone's character: It shouldn't be a student. They'd need to be trustworthy, respectable, hopefully experienced (a teacher would be ideal), wise, kind and patient. (Not necessarily all of the above) And looks don't matter. And since Beth doesn't have a final yet, I was kind of hoping it could be him. She wouldn't have any romantic feelings for the guy while at school, but they'd be on friendly terms. They'd become good friends once she's adult and even closer after she gets stationed at Hogwarts. Then she could get her eye-opening moment. As for how that person feels about her, I'm pretty liberal about that but a happy ending would be nice Do you see any candidates for this? Because I sure don't. Still, if you have any ideas/suggestions, I'd be grateful if you could post them here or PM them to me. Oh and if I'm very, very desperate, I would go for a girl... for this plot, I mean, without the option for a final. But I haven't gotten to the second 'very' yet. ...Help? He is trustworthy, he respects Hufflepuffs seeing as he use to date one. Winnie is also going to make him kinder so that would help with the plot. I plan to make Kevin active next generation so that could help with the next generation plot, but we should roleplay them together first to see what happens so you know If not Kevin I could offer Jess, since this could help with our plot of getting Jess and Beth close as she falls for Edward.

I was just looking at Kevin earlier today, thinking they could get along And they should definitely RP sometime! However, the reason I wanted an adult character for this plot is that Beth is very guarded when it comes to truly trusting people. If it was a student, she would deny everything, knowing from experience how teenagers are. But she might spill out her greatest secret to someone who she'd feel would keep it to himself, someone she already respects. I think she'd rather Kedavra herself than waiting for Snape to find out she told someone But if I won't be lucky to find an adult, I will reconsider Kevin and try to find some way to work it out. @Julianna Thanks to you as well <3 Same reasons I listed above, but I'll reply to your PM in a bit. ^^

I think I'll find her one in next gen as it's still too far and things may change. But I'm still looking for an adult character who would be first to find out about Volatilis. It would be cool if they didn't mind giving Beth advice about it (from other branches of magic, perhaps) or support her. It would also boost her confidence if someone she respected was interested in what she does. No romance plot involved. Maybe Snape & Tinsley could have a Draco/Snape like relationship... since he's just an adult, not a professor, maybe Beth and Tinsley's fathers are old friends from school, and Tinsley thinks of Snape as a kind of "uncle" figure... Maybe that would make Beth terribly irritated, because she feels moody about it, but wants to appear brave to Tinsley, so they argue about it a bit? They can have a duel or something, but Tinsley will ultimately feel bad.... maybe the two can become closet friends as Tinsley gets nicer and less "Slytherin" ? Just a thought. Either way, I'd love to plot/post somehow!! =D

However, this is an intriguing idea and I rather like it. Snape isn't very happy that Beth is a Hufflepuff and such a cheerful do-gooder. I think part of him can't stand her and the other tolerates her because she is his daughter. Now Tinsley would probably be more 'worthy' in his eyes. And definitely, Tinsley's father could have been friends with Beth's. So yeah, Beth would definitely feel bad about that as she does everything she can for Snape's respect and he still seems to like Tinsley more. Maybe Tinsley could say something along the lines that Beth isn't worthy enough to be his daughter so that would strike home. But Beth could forgive her if she knew Tinsley didn't mean it later on. Well, let me know when you'd like to do this. Just after Charms would be cool with me, or Day 6.
